Pros: The people owing the house are really nice and care a lot about guests! Even if toilets are shared they keep them really clean.
Pros: This was our favorite place along the Rheinsteig trail yet. The Host Beate Bernard was so kind and welcoming. She even went grocery shopping for us so that we had food for the next days hike. We both are vegetarian and she made the most beautiful breakfast, everything was delicious! We so enjoyed talking with her and exchanging stories. We honestly wished we could have stayed longer just to get to know her more. If you go through Sayn, this is the place to stay!

Pros: Super nice, the breakfast is mind-blowing, clean and private... we're coming back!!!
Pros: The service was very attentive and very friendly. The evening food was lovely with some local dishes on the menu. The wine selection was fantastic with a lot of locally grown wines. Breakfast was a lovely buffet with eggs cooked to order. There was a superb choice of rolls, croissants, hams, cheeses, fish, fresh fruit and yogurts.
Cons: There didn't seem to be a public lounge to linger in after the meal. However, there was space at the bar or in the beer garden which would have been fine if it wasn't pouring with rain!
Pros: Highly recommended. Only 15 minutes from the A3 highway, we found a different world. A wonderful hotel with pure silence, woken by the sound of birds tweeting, and the river flowing. What a treat. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, and a wonderful evening meal. Breakfast was tasty, fresh and healthy too.
Pros: The quality of the food served at breakfast was excellent! The shower was one of the best I have had in Germany. The bed, though small, was quite comfortable and the room was extremely quiet, making sleep an easy going experience.
Cons: There is not enough electrical outlets in the room. There was only one that was not being used and it was in a "somewhat" inconvenient location for charging a phone. If I had brought my laptop, I would have had no where to plug it in.

Pros: Location can't be overstated: everyone will be pleased. Breakfast is phenomenal. Amy"s service was great and Gregor"s eggs/bacon were so tasty as well as all the German fare, delish! My kids (15, 13, 11) didn't want to leave. 24/7 coffee/tea and snacks for free. We all all slept very well.

Pros: Very quiet place without any traffic noise, this is a place to relax and go hiking. The breakfast is served at the nearby restaurant and is delicious.
Cons: If you arrive by car be careful the street is narrow to the restaurant that is linked to the Abtei.
Pros: I cannot wait to come back. The staff/owners were basically waiting for me outside to welcome me. Great room because of the view and comfy bed. got to enjoy a sneaky sunset. Super surroundings for a walk in the park. Brekkie was the most complete you could get. The 2 min walk down the road to the breakfast place is a beautiful easy walk. They also have a coffee room, where you can just grab a coffee or a sweet. Great spot!
Pros: breakfast in the abbey restaurant which is separate and excellent
Pros: Tranquil location in a small town, although the church bell started tolling at 8am. Excellent dinner and breakfast served at your table.
Cons: No air-conditioning! Small rooms on the second floor get very hot and stuffy in summer. Quirky wi-fi, they seem to have blocked certain web services, such as Apple Store or Trip Advisor, to save traffic.
Pros: The breakfast was excellent
Cons: The room was big, but empty, not very cosy. Internet connection wasn't too good in the room
Pros: The property was nice and the surrounding area was very cozy. The staff was incredibly nice and the included breakfast was excellent.
Cons: The room was somewhat small but probably normal by European standards.
Pros: Very nice place to spend time after work. Very clean room. Delicious breakfast. Hospitable staff. Private free parking.
Cons: weak internet
Pros: The staff and the breakfast was great. The restaurant also serves up a great dinner.

Pros: Nice views and a quiet neighbourhood. Good restaurant
Pros: food good, service (reception & restaurant) excellent, clean rooms, great setting and views; good price meal
Cons: As there was a function we happily sat outside to eat, however event guests were smoking next to table as we ate and we had nowhere to go; Ideally should have designated smoking area away from tables if unable to eat inside
Pros: Rich and well-assorted breakfast buffet, pleasant park and restaurant terrace, friendly and helpful staff and an outstanding location with stunning views over the Rhine valley.
When you stay at Hotel Tannenhof in Grossmaischeid, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Sayner Hütte. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: upgrade to suite, very friendly staff, excellent diner in restaurant, quiet environment
Cons: Room was not so warm
Pros: price/performance of hotel/room absolute super, very nice silent location, but near to the Highway A3, enough parking space
Cons: Restaurant expensive
Pros: Breakfast was OK.
Cons: We arrived around 21:30 and there was no possibility to get anything from kitchen. We took few beers.
Pros: How unique each individual room was. It felt like a boutique hotel but with all the modern amenities. I will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future.
Pros: The place was lovely and the rooms where very nice! The lady that helped with breakfast was helpful so was the gentleman at the reception. The area is beautiful. The second day we were there, more people arrived and it no longer feel akward.
Cons: For a foreign traveler like ourselves, the place was way too far out of town. First night we had dinner at the restaurant and it was awkward . There were only a four other people, spread out in the same room and it was uncomfortable. There were two darling young ladies waiting on us, who were terrible waitresses! It took for forever to get our wine. Dessert, I ordered a cappuccino with my desert. It took 15 minutes to get the desert and my coffee was cold. The food was more expensive than what it should have been. We ate elsewhere the second night! We have been traveling all over Europe for one month. Have had great food at a lesser cost in 4 to 5 star hotels.
Pros: Incredibly friendly staff! Amazing food in the restaurant! The rooms are equipped with modern facilities and romantic decor.
Cons: No heating available
Pros: Lovely building from the outside. Public rooms (bar, restaurant etc.) attractive and well appointed. Sauna good, too.
Cons: We ordered a deluxe balcony room. But when we got there, the room allocated had no balcony. We hence had to downgrade to a standard room in order to get the balcony. This room was not as good as we had been expecting (obviously!), and its inferiority was not reflected in the very minor price reduction we were given - only 5 Euros per night. Another material disadvantage was that there are no restaurants in Grossmaischeid. Unless eating in the hotel, one hence has to get the car out again and travel at least 6 km. Not a huge distance, of course, but far from ideal when all one wants to do after a full day's touring is relax with a meal and a beer.
When you stay at Pension Hubertus in Oberraden, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Evangelische Pfarrkirche and Katholische Kirche St. Kastor. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
Pros: Good and generous breakfast.Spacious accommodation with wonderful view from large private terrace.
Cons: WiFi was unavailable in the room but was in dining area.
Pros: What a find! I was looking just for a cheap and easy place to sleep the night whilst driving from Vienna to England. This place was the cheapest place for miles, and just a few minutes from the highway. Wasn't expecting much for €32 to be honest, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Very friendly Dutch couple own the hotel, and were very welcoming to me. The countryside around the hotel was lovely, and the small garden attached to the hotel was the perfect place to enjoy a few beers after my long drive :-) The had paid for a single room, but they gave me a double...and it was huge! Nicely fitted out, comfy bed and modern clean bathroom. Was impressed to even have a shower gel dispenser in the shower, as this is often not found in rooms twice the cost. I slept great and left early the next day. I can't speak much about the local amenities as I wasn't there long enough, but my experience was great. Only thing to be aware of, is there is no dinner possibilities in the village, and you would need to drive to the next village to have that. Fortunately I had some supplies with me, and so wasn't an issue. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel, and would very happily stay there again next time I am passing through :-)
Pros: beautiful location in a very quit village very close to highway
Pros: This is a budget hotel, but is clean, good bathroom, TV, good wifi, parking, quiet. Its a bargain!
Cons: All was good!
Pros: Friendly welcome, good English spoken, owner lent me a footpath map so I could walk to the next village to an excellent restaurant he recommended.
Cons: Nothing really, good breakfast, comfortable, clean room, pleasant hosts and plenty of parking.
Pros: It was very queit and bautiful place
Pros: This is my second stay here. The family who own the hotel are very friendly and helpful. They also speak excellent English.
Pros: The accommodation was simple but perfect for what I wanted. Host very friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my breakfast
Pros: Very friendly host and owner, stayed here second time. Great service, great location, everything was just perfect for us. Be back again, next time hopefully a bit longer.
Pros: A very nice host and the room was fantastic, after a long drive we were welcomed in with a warm drink and then a hot shower , happy and content

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is complimentary (available 24 hours).
Pros: Friendly helpful staff. High stand of cleanliness.
Pros: Easy access to Autobahn
Cons: Road noise, very very hard mattress
Pros: close to the motorway
Cons: sign for car park not obvious
Pros: close to highway, room was clean, curtains make the room really dark (but not silent). this place really made us want to go home, which is exactly what we were doing, so i guess that's a plus.
Cons: outdated and depressing hotel, solely intended for those on the road. almost missed check-in which apparently closes at 10pm which is very weird for a place along the highway. bring earplugs, the highway is very close. beds are not so nice: woke up with painful back. facilities are extremely basic: bed sheets, towels, and toilet paper, but no fridge, no breakfast, no shower gel, complimentary but useless and wasteful bottle of water (tap water is perfect in this region), no wall outlet to charge a phone overnight near the bed. do yourself a favor and drive a few extra kilometers for something cheaper (80 euros is really way too expensive) and more comfortable. if you decide to heed this warning and stay here anyway: tomorrow morning you only have yourself to blame.
Pros: Good convenient hotel for travelling. Would use again. Staff were very helpful when we thought we may not get there before check in closed. Very clean.
Cons: Beds a little uncomfortable
Pros: The Bed was not all that comfortable
Cons: Better bed and shower gel
Pros: Very Clean, close to motorway, easy to reach
Cons: The room that was booked - for 2 adult and 1 child was already sold...they put as in a very little room for two, small area, not nice...
Pros: Ideally located for a stopover as we were heading on to Prague. It was very easy to find as it was just off the main road and had a lovely pizzeria/bar a short walk away.

It is 15 minutes from the A3 motorway and a 25-minute drive from Koblenz.
Pros: Friendly staff and excellent Evening meal. Friendly locals at the bar who helped with my poor German. Would recommend this hotel, what it lacked in facilities, it made up by being a welcoming and friendly hotel with delicious food.
Pros: All the facilities were excellent, the bar was cozy with good wine, and the son/host/chef was most cheerful and helpful. It is easily found from the Rheinsteig.
Pros: We especially liked the food! Hotel Waldterrasse has a very good cook, we had asparagus and it was great.
Cons: There wasn't anything we didn't like.
Cons: Room much too small okay
Pros: Great location for hiking. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Our pet was welcome. Room was larger than expected and very clean.

Pros: The lovely young woman on reception, she was incredibly warm, welcoming and helpful - obviously loves her job!! The room was the most beautiful we have stayed in. As an extra bonus, the Italian Restaurant 100m down the road was the best I've eaten at!!
Cons: There was NOTHING to not like!!! Lovely peaceful location in the forest outside of town, beautifully presented room, immaculate and friendly service!!
Pros: room was big enough There was coffe enough but no hot water for tea
Cons: no airco at all very hot to sleep comfortable so it was not a 4 star rating no information about the facilities of the hotel at all Also no info on use of the lounge/bar etc. Tried to get hot water out of the nespresso-machine to make tea but no success
Pros: People at the lobby are very kind ,,ready to help . They keep nice and warm smiles all the times
Cons: Breakfast is poor and no restaurant nearby or snacks proposals at the arrival at the hotel ( to be paid if course) .It was a Monday . Everything was close !
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: It was written on booking that there was a point to charge an electric car, however when we arrived this was not the case. The staff was helpfull and arranged another way to charge, however in the moring we noticed it only charged till 20%, so our travel plans were delayed since we had to first find another point to charge the car.
Pros: Great staff, nice Italian restaurant around the corner, amazing family suite.
Pros: Friendly staff, good parking, seemed a nice location although we did not get a chance to explore. Lovely waking up to the sound of birds singing. Dog friendly hotel.
Cons: Hand soap and shower gel dispensers were both empty. Room fairly basic, with duvets folded on top of bed rather than bed completely made. Bottle of water in room was 3.5 euros!

Pros: Even we stayed only for 1 night, we really enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly & smiling people. The breakfast was basic and tasty with fresh bread and nice coffee. There was no shampoo in the bathroom however it didn't bother us since we already had our own, for sure you can ask to the reception for their help. The location was good for travelling to Koblenz with car and there are plenty of free parking spaces for the use of guests.
Cons: The size of the quilts does not fill like they are for adults, luckily the weather was fine :)
Pros: Quaint charming setting and decor. We had our own sitting room to relax and watch television. Nice & Clean. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Great breakfast. Specialize in local beer and wines.... Would definitely recommend!
Pros: The bed extra comfy, the lady was awesome, the food was delicious, I’l stay again anytime! Recommend, enjoy a nice and clean place and a fabulous meal and beer! Choose the place! That’s homey!
Cons: Nothing, yet!
Pros: Very Good
Cons: English Speaking was okay but could be better.
Pros: I booked the hotel at the last minute due do the traffic on the A3. The low price concerned me but when I arrived I was amazed at an amazing place. I was welcomed and shown to my room which in most places would have been a suite. I had a sofa and chair with cable TV with five stations in English. My room was very clean. The hotel had the charm of an older family hotel but very charming as were the owners. The dinner was more than expected in quality. I left feeling this was a special find on an often traveled road. It is worth a stop just for the ghoulish soup. Highly recommended and will return.
Pros: Big nicely decorated room and facilities
Cons: Maybe more breakfast variety for vegetarians/vegas
Pros: Very nice and clean accommodation. Comfortable and quiet place. Close to the motorway easy to find. We liked it :)
Pros: Charming, clean and friendly staff. It is away from the city with a small grocery store on the corner. One of our favorite places to stay. A wonderful view of the alps and countryside.
Cons: There was no air conditioning. It is a hot summer in Germany and so this may not always be a problem. We could open the windows but mosquitoes came right in. The nights were hot.
Pros: Staff was just fantastic - friendly, helpful, always smiling. Just a basis for pleasant stay. Kitchen served amazing Foods, small, but very tasty choice for breakfastl.
Cons: I stay there for three times. Last time the room was with street view and it was pretty noisy. Anyhow, still comfortable, clean
Pros: Great location for motorbikes, curves start at the door heading south. Amazing pulled chicken burger! Large buffet breakfast. Clean, comfortable, friendly staff.
Cons: No shampoo in shower.
When you stay at Pension Lume in Oberraden, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Evangelische Pfarrkirche and Katholische Kirche St. Kastor. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Nice quiet location
Cons: Car park really dark. Owners not onsite and no representatives either as receptio was a few doors away. Rear of builfing open to anyone to walk in all night.
Pros: Friendly hosts, cosy and clean room.
Pros: Clean and spacious room, handkerchiefs in the room and in the bathroom (fantastic), very friendly and helpful personnel, breakfast simple but nice. Good mattress, great duvet, room temperature was great and the room was warm when I arrived. They even lend me a brush to clear the snow off my car in the morning and helped with everything they could.
Cons: Not much space in the bathroom for all the things that women carry ;-) especially inside the shower where I could not place a shampoo bottle anywhere. As a suggestion, Breakfast could have turkey ham as well, since there was prosciutto and other similar items (something less fatty is always nice).
Pros: Every thing it’s fantastic

Cons: Old hotel, bed is not so comfi..
Pros: Stayed many times here. Haven't found any other place better in the area. Will be coming back again.

Pros: Very nice reception
Cons: Big room with balcony
Cons: Restaurant closed, but alternative across road.
Pros: Staff very friendly. Clean. Nice view.
Cons: Bed not so comfortable. Half fruit on breakfast Buffet was rotting and the bread was stale.

This hotel is situated in the heart of the Westerwald mountain range, right by the popular spa gardens with their Kneipp foot basins and elegant fountain area. The woodland area next-door is a beautiful place for a relaxing stroll. The town of Ehlscheid became an official spa resort in 1992 due to its healthy climate, and can be easily reached via the A3. Look forward to an intimate atmosphere, friendly service and pleasant comforts. Visit us and you will have an unforgettable holiday in Westerwald.
Pros: Bed was comfortable
Cons: Facilities in theroom and bathroom
Pros: I liked nothing about this horrible, scary, noisy place when we arrived. By the time we left (booked two nights, stayed one), if this had been my only experience of Germany and German people, I would never return to the Country. I didn't check any reviews.. That wasn't important to me, being close to the hospital in Neuwied where my son was having life saving surgery was. Besides, How bad could a hotel rated as good be? Believe me... Worse than bad.
Cons: I was left on a dark doorstep for nearly half an hour with a terrified 7 year old on arrival. Being shown to a dirty, smelly, dangerous room with a wobbly balcony with sliding doors that didn't shut and electrics that buzzed and sparked was beyond scary. Trying to sleep with washing machines / tumble dryers / a very loud beer cellar was a nightmare. No soap, not that I would have washed in that "bathroom" anyway. When the wee one's Dad called to help us, you hung up on him! Our night was a Hieronymus Boschian hell. The noises all night were relentless. Then the noises from the building site across the road and your contractors using circular saws to cut worktops below our balcony topped off the worst night I have ever spent anywhere! At the end, When you insisted on charging us full price for two nights rather than the one we stayed.... I was happy to pay just to get out of that hellhole.

Children will enjoy visiting Neuwied Zoo, which is just 8 minutes away by car.
Pros: The room was hot, while it was very cold outside. Friendly host.
Cons: Family affairs (child and dog) in public space, wifi broken down.
Pros: Beautifully located in a peaceful forest area with easy access to Koblenz and it's surrounding business areas. Very nice room, friendly staff awesome buffet breakfast. Sadly the Swimming Pool/Spa was closed and not sure when it will be open, however for a really relaxing break and to have some pleasant walks this hotel was lovely.
Cons: well they could have told us that the pool would be closed before our stay.
Pros: Very friendly staff as the name implies as we could only speak Italian & English. Food and prices excellent.
Cons: You are divided one block for Breakfast one for main Hotel and another for Restaurant.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, nicely presented and good value for price paid (9,6 per person).
