Very comfortable, excellent bed/linen. Good breakfast. For us it does what we need , a good rest before either travelling either N or S It was hot therefore 'air conditioning' would be useful.
Good size room, very comfy bed, also had kettle, tea, coffee & biscuits. Easy to find, ideal as a stop over.
the room was very clean and beds comfortable and the family room had a good sized clean shower room The food at the restaurant was not of a good standard. I would advise other guests eat prior to arriving at the establishment. The waitress who served us, was also unattentive, she had the be asked 4 times to bring glasses of water for the children. The food when it did arrive was not the same as the description on the menu and the waitress was not prepared to help us out using english even though we tried out best with the french language. Do not order the sausages ever !
Room was quite nice Breakfast was poor
The evening meal was surprisingly good, although a bit pricey. The hotel site was difficult to find, we had the benefit of sat nav fortunately.
The room was clean and comfortable, of a reasonable size, and the decor good. The beds were comfortable. The hotel was easy to find, and conveniently located, as a base for a short holiday break in that region. Adequate car parking was adjacent to the rooms. Though the female receptionist on duty when we arrived spoke no English, this was not too much of a problem, and the male receptionist on duty the following day spoke good English, and was friendly and helpful. We should be happy to stay there again, if visiting that area. The dinner menu choice was somewhat limited, and overpriced, and compared rather unfavourably with our local restaurants back home in England, in terms of meal quality, and value for money. The continental breakfast, in terms of what was provided was adequate, and in line with expectations, but was rather overpriced. I have to acknowledge that the low value of the British pound against the euro, was also a factor when considering value for money for the meals, and room.
Easy to reach by road, comfortable bed, clean, on-site paring. Good for 1 night overnight stay. Breakfast, cold buffet, quite expensive for English visitors (9 euros = £8)
As we were returning from a holiday in Frejus this was a stop-over on the way to Zeebruger. We enjoyed our meals very much and the staff were friendly and efficent. we have stayed in Campanile hotels in previous years and always found them clean and confortable and would not hesitate to book in one at some future date.
Staff friendly and accommodating, location ideal for our business activity, food and drink great value
The situation of the Hotel. The surrounding building work made it unattractive. External entrance to rooms.
Size and cleanliness of room and bathroom. Bed really comfortable.. Area of the location not that good, although quiet and very close to town center.
The hotel was in the middle of a housing estate. We were watched entering our room by a group of teenagers who were very interested in our car. Secure parking not secure, no staff on site we seemed to be the only guests.
The location Poor breakfast
Ideally situated for a five minute walk into town.
The staff was extremely friendly and courteous. The room was very clean and comfortable. An excellent breakfast was served.
it was clean but a little hard to find
It was easy to locate and within easy reach of the town centre This hotel was incredibly noisy being near a fitness club and having no carpet or soundproofing at all. We were on the third floor with no lift even though we had a three month old baby with us. As parking was under the hotel we had to leave most of our luggage in the car because it was way too difficult to get it to the room.
Central location - easy walking distance to shops. No tea/coffee making facilities. Vinyl floors were a little cold - and instructions for central heating were inadequate. We had to get concierge to turn it on. But for the price it was adequate.
The cleanliness and quality of the room and all facilities and the friendliness and help from the staff. No
The gardens and grounds are very well kept and beautiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful although we only ate at evening as felt the breakfast was a little expensive, as only wanted a small breakfast. The room was tiny but lovely
Quiet, relaxed, nice gardens.
First class restaurant with a great wine list. Beautiful grounds and very friendly staff. Room was only adequate but our main sadness was that the hotel is so far away from Chalons which we hoped to visit. It was advertised as being there but is in fact about 15-20kms away.It is a lovely building but appeas to be a work in progress.
Good ambiance, excellent patronne, good value bottle of wine Room was very small, mostly taken up by bed. Food was mediocre.
Excellent food, served in pleasant dining room. Would have preferred to stay in hotel rather than annexe. Not able to get through security gate until 16.20. Annexe rooms smelled of new wall paint. Grouds very neglected. However atmosphere good.
The owners are delightful, welcoming and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the food excellent. The grounds are perfect for a stroll after a long drive.
the great garden!
Good location, easy to find. Dinner on terrace. Food excellent.Friendly staff
Ambience. Excellent evening meal, especially for the price
Food excellent but expensive. Staff pleasant and efficient. Location good. Room small dirty with old cheap furniture. Commom areas dirty. Have experienced far better value for money.
Well situated a short walk from the historic town centre. Efficient restaurant and good breakfast.
Friendly staff. Closed early, no bar facility open
although late due to delays on Eurostar we managed to gain access at 10.50. we were very grateful since there was no alternative for 6 double rooms. The beer was fantastic! The restaurant looked very good. We tried to communicate in what we considered to be passable French to explain our delay and annoyingly the girl on reception could not understand anything. The owner in the morning had good English and was very friendly.
Excellent staff, especially in view of the lack of electricity in the morning. Food not as good as advised on website.
The twin room was very pleasant and the beds were comfortable. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. The food was well prepared. St Dizier is a small provincial town and a ten minute walk from the hotel brings you to its centre. Free parking is available opposite the hotel.
Very good position near town/station/main road. Staff very corteous. Breakfast simple but good. Parking across road. Liked the canal walk nearby. Visited relatives in Vavincourt and saw Lac du Der plus various Abbeys incl.Trois Fontaine. Very small room esp. bathroom but Ok for 2 of us.
Good evening meal Hotel was closed until 6pm - it would have been helpful to have known this in advance.
Staff seemed friendly, car park handy across the road, beds comfortable, en-suite clean and tidy, restaurant meal quite good. Room rather small for twin beds and a wardrobe but it's good they provide twin bedded rooms. We could have done without the wardrobe.
A fabulous location. Helpful and meticulous staff who were attentive to my less than adequate French and tried especially hard to accommodate me. The hotel restaurant was better than most of the local eateries too. They have odd hours. The hotel was closed and locked on Friday evening when I returned. If I had better French skills I would have known this. However the staff had left me a note translated into English explaining how to 'get in'. And the manager followed up to make sure all was well. I was quite impressed.
This hotel has had a wonderful restaurant for many years. The food was one of the best meals we had during our 10 day stay in France.
Very nice newly furbished shower room, however no hooks or hanging space of any kind, even for wet towels. Proximity to large church - Sunday mornings could be rather noisy!
Stayed here one night, while traveling through the are. Basic hotel, nothing fancy. Worked well for us, since we were just looking for a bed for the night. Clean rooms and friendly staff.
nothing much the restaurant was closed for 3 weeks. there was a key system to get in to the hotel which we did not know about so had to ewait for 2 hours to get in in the rain!
The location was excellent, right in the centre of the town, close to several restaurants offering an alternative to that of the hotel. The room was quite small and the adjoining bathroom barely large enough to turn round in.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and sociable - delightful!
Well situated for journey from south to North. Within easy walking distance of Vitry town centre. Very good value for money.
Central location, lovely swimming pool and friendly staff. Very clean (although small) rooms. Very small garage underneath hotel. We have a large family car so parking was very difficult.
Near center and quietness
Very friendly helpful staff, pleasant accommodation seeking the French 'Green' certification. The hotel is well placed for the town centre with it's large square and church. An ideal stopover when touring that region of France. Very reasonably priced giving good value for money.
Very clean & friendly. Nicely kept with good decor, family feel about the place, not like the multiple hotels. Noisy first thing in the morning from 5.30 onwards. Luckily I had to get up early but if I had wanted to sleep in, it would have been difficult.
Clean and staff very helpful The restaurant food was not very good
The staff are charming and caring and although we do not usually eat in the hotel , we knew from the last time that the meal would be very good.We were not disappointed!
Very friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant. Also very quiet at night.
comfortable rooms and good breakfast
