As this hostel was located on a main road, the level of noise from the road kept me up all night (even with the window shot). So if you are a light sleeper like me, avoid this place.
Staff nice, room clean, new, very affordable hostel-style room, all the amenities. In town, easy walk to food, shopping.
price the shared toilet is not good and I do not feel comfortable to use it~~and I could hear noise all night~
Location in the city centre. No parking, wireless is not complentary.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall the facilities in the Hostel are excellent and it is definitely one of the best hostels I've stayed in. We had first time hostellers in our group and they were a little sceptical to begin with however they were very impressed with Ubernacht and would stay in a hostel again. We were there for Oktoberfest and its definitely a good alternative to staying in Munich. The bathrooms were sometimes a bit of a mess but this probably more due to misuse by other guests rather than lack of attention from the hostel staff. Also a lot of water congregated on the shower room floor when the showers were busy as there were no drains.
Helpful staff and clean, new facilities. Good location near city center and sites in Augsburg. On main road, next to pedestrian zone, with stop-and-go truck and car traffic all night. Extremely noisy; impossible to sleep. Most rooms face the Karlstrasse; facilities face the quiet side. Hotel needs to invest in double-pane windows. Room, with floor-to-ceiling windows, does not provide an adequate sleepng environment on this busy road.
Spacious and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast served. Friendly staff. Value for money. The directions to the hotel was bit confusing.
Hotel is really close to the central area. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was ok. No heating in the bathroom!
Inexpensive. Easy to change reservation. Reserved double ensuite which website made it sound like it had a double bed. Actually all double rooms have two twin beds.
staff are extra friendly, if you don't mind staying with students an excellent choice for the price, walking distance of the town centre, breakfast was ok we found it hard to find, there are three number 6 buildings. Gastenhaus is not written on the building. Another name is printed in large size on an adjoining building and living cube is printed smaller. They should change the name on the website to match what appears on the building. We spent an hour going up and down trying to find it.
Taking the location and price into account, it was a reasonable choice. If you just want a clean comfortable room, then it probably isn't worth paying more for a hotel where you have 5 mins less walking to reach things. If you are travelling alone, it dosen't really have a reasonable social area (like UK hostels do) other than some seats & tables by reception, so not very easy to meet up with other people travelling. Then again, there isn't a great deal to see in Augsberg, two days / one night is enough to see everything. Also I was on the 4th floor and there isn't a customer lift, so there was a fair bit of up and down stairs going on.
Excellent location, value for money. No phone either in the room nor at the reception.
Need more free parcing place
it is a hostel, it is better to specife it
The location was excellent, being close to transport and city centre. Good breakfast.
I had low expectations due to that I've never stayed in a boarding house before. It was amazing! Brand new, built in November 2014. So much room and everything was really nice! It would have been nice if there were more locations for food within walking distance.
