La Passacaille - Grosrouvre - Building
1
9.5 Excellent (79 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was superb, from the friendly welcome to the tasty breakfast ! I liked the large walk-in shower, and the fact that you could sit outside in the garden to relax. It was, from start to finish, a wonderful place to stay.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Great hospitality, excellent breakfast
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The host was always smiling and eager to make my stay pleasant. The room and bathroom was huge and functional.
Cons: The location. There was nothing within several miles. To eat or anything else. However, the host came to my rescue and promptly made me some dinner for a very modest fee. All that said, if your looking for a countryside getaway away from everything, this is where you want to stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This boutique hotel is tucked away in a quaint, very-quiet, little village located in a forest preserve. The room had a pleasant pastoral view towards the back of the hotel.
Cons: There did not seem to be a way for us to control the room heat individually.

Pros: Our stay was perfect. Hosts were beyond gracious. Our room with the kitchenette was just what we needed. Breakfast was wonderful! Would highly recommend Clos Saint Nicolas!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is our second stay here, on our way back from holidays, and once again we wished we could have stayed longer. Charming location and property, large comfortable room, warm and welcoming host, plentiful and secure off-street parking, and a delicious French breakfast in the morning. The property doesn’t offer dinner but the small village has lots of restaurants, and Versailles which has even more is just 20 mins drive away. We would definitely love to stay again.
Cons: Nothing - it was all good. It’s not super cheap but it’s pretty good value for the quality of the accommodation.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We liked the spacious bedroom and excellent bed. The breakfast was extremely well done: fresh fruit, yoghurt, bread, homemade jam etc. Free parking on the property. The location was quiet but within walking distance of the local village square.
Cons: -
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A variety of lovely home made jams. Fresh croissant and bread. Coffee and a choice of teas.
Cons: Pound/Euro exchange rate!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely house, nice welcome, goid location
Cons: Bit hard to find
10.0 Excellent
Pros: WOW! the pictures don't do this place justice, the gate opens to a beautiful large typically French building, with ample parking around the back and side, a garden bursting with produce, we were met by Francois the owner and shown to our room - sublime, the bed was HUGE!! What can I say, the breakfast was great, prepared by either Francois or his mother, the other guests were lovely, we found two great restaurants nearby, a Tapas bar, L'Auberge Espagnole, literally as you walked out of the gates, highly recommended and further on in the market square, a local bar/café and an Italian restaurant, Le Valinco, which must be tried. It rained quite heavily one night, causing our car to refuse to start, not to worry as one of Francois's friends came to our rescue, got it started and refused any payment, the French just go above and beyond! Very refreshing and endearing. A great place, lovely village and a good base for Versailles, Paris and, we discovered, Giverny. You must come here!
Cons: Leaving!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and spacious. The breakfast was delightful and the staff charming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had booked visits to Versailles and Giverny so wanted a location convenient to both. The Clos St Nicolas was perfect, a warm welcome from Madam, excellent room, lovely gardens and interesting parrots and parakeets. Breakfast excellent. Highly recommended. John and Helen

6.3 Good
Pros: The main house and the appartments are very spacious and have a nice and cozy decoration. The outdoor areas of the house and the village are charming. Nice french-style breakfast.
Cons: The room was cold, the small electrical heating was on, but completely insufficient. I wonder what happens if you stay there in winter time.. Wifi signal just didn't work, too weak. Had to go take out cash money because not possible to pay with card. Spa area only open from 10am-6pm.
7.1 Good
Pros: The garden, the house, the couple, the breakfast.
Cons: We thought the spa was great but did not smell fresh air. Maybe a couple of essential oil drops would clean and freshen the air.
4.6 Okay
Pros: The pool was heated.
Cons: No licence to serve alcohol. Limited breakfast choice. Uncommunicative as to facilities. Uncomfortable sun beds.

Cons: The bathroom was small and looked a bit dated although clean.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay pleasant. Good breakfast with everything I wanted, very fresh.
Cons: Occasional lapse in providing soap, on two out of the four days. Plus I never see the point of those scatter cushions and strip of cloth on the bed, which always just go on the floor.
7.5 Good
Pros: The hotel is good for the price
Cons: There is nothing open on Sundays. But that it France, not the hotel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A comfortable and pleasant place to stay, with very friendly staff, well located on Thoiry's main street. The breakfast was very good with fresh pain au chocolat, mini croissant and pain au raisin, decent coffee and a good selection of other items. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked very well with plenty of hot water.
Cons: A cup and kettle in the room would have enabled me to make tea or coffee at times when nowhere was open.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Centrally located in the village.
Cons: No functioning WiFi, restaurant closed Friday and Saturday night. E-mail notifying change of number of nights needed not acknowledged, no soap/shampoo/shower gel.

6.7 Good (81 reviews)
4.2 Okay
Pros: The room was clean
Cons: They give us one bed less than offered, no coffea, no restaurant no one available at checkout
5.8 Okay
Pros: The only breakfast on offer was prepacked which would be delivered to room and eaten in room, we declined. The room was newly decorated as was the bathroom.
Cons: The sign outside said hotel/restaurant. There was no restaurant and it looked as if it had closed down some time ago. We had been travelling all day but could get no food nor could owner suggest anywhere to eat. The nearest town, Beynes is in quite large, bold print on AA map. Do not be fooled, it has three so called restaurant/bars but none sold food, you would not want to eat there anyway. There is a small shop where we bought sliced cheese, apples and a bagette, anything which could be eaten without being cut as we had no knives or forks. We did at least have wine so had a "picnic" at 8.00pm outside our room. The owner took pity on us and did give us a very nice bottle of wine which was kind of him. This is fine for an overnight stop but take your own food! Moral: Don't assume that because a town is shown on the AA map in reasonably large, bold print it is a reasonably large place, Beynes was not.
5.4 Okay
Cons: The breakfast was supposed to be: Croissants, Butter, Jam, Yoghurts, Fruit Juice, Coffee. The Croissants were burnt and not edible, there was no Butter or Jam for the Croissants. There was no milk for the coffee. There was only 1 towel in a room for 2 adults. The staff were never around to request another one so we had to share 1 towel for 2 nights. The restaurant was not open when we arrived. They closed the bar at 8:30pm even though we had just booked in. The restaurant closed on day 2 and the bar also so we had no chance to eat or drink.
7.1 Good
Pros: The owners were very nice. Food at the restaurant was very nice.
Cons: There were no windows. A little bit stuffy. Had to keep the door open to get air in. As they were warm days it was hot
4.6 Okay
Pros: The restaurant under the rooms was cosy, and the service was fine.
Cons: The room had no window - only a door facing a terrace which was were other gust gained acces to their rooms. The room was very hot, and the somewhat synthetic covers didn’t help. We were offered breakfast in our room, which we happily accepted. When we came back from dinner - breakfast had been delivered already. Thus all drinks were lukewarm by morning... not a succes.
7.5 Good
Pros: Breakfast was excellent - fresh bakery, fruit & coffee
