We stayed here for the Masters. While it was an old building, it was very nice, and super clean! The bed was surprisingly comfortable, we slept great! The staff was nice, and well prepared to deal with a bunch of golfers checking out before 5:30am! They even had the free breakfast ready early to accommodate the golfers!
no chairs to sit in. but overall good hotel and staff.
Stayed at the scottish inn for the 2012 Masters, the rates in augusta were high and we decided to stay in atlanta and drive to the masters every day, which is a 2 hours drive, i am glad i did not, the drive from thomson is 30 mins. Room was clean, great
Stayed here during February, the room was clean, my room had a refrigerator and a microwave, wify worked great, had free local and long distance. It was quiet and i would go back when i am in town
If it wasn't for the fact that the room was prepaid and non refundable, we would have been out of there after the first night. We had to wear shoes in the room, the carpet was not real clean. The lights in the hall were turned out all the time. No elevator, we were on the second floor and the handrail on the stairs was sticky, The light over the sink worked if you jiggled the florescent bulbs, light by the bed had to be jiggled to work also. Toilet handle need a jiggle to stop it from running. 'Free internet' was slower than dial-up, some downloads just wouldn't work. The hallway smelled like a butcher shop after a fire. On the bright side, the linen on the bed was clean, the mattress was firm, the air conditioner worked and the water pressure was AWESOME. Good thing they were surrounded by restaurants, we could not have eaten there, even if it was packaged and free.
The hotel is dated, not well clean, stuffy, and does not offer breakfast. However, staff is super nice and WiFi is great. Choose better choices in the area.
I have stayed at this hotel on more than one occassion. It is a family owned hotel in a chain and they are SUPER nice. Wifi is great BUT the rooms are outdated and not cleaned well. I waited until I got home in Atlanta to take a shower. There is a stuffy smell and no air circulation. You might want to bring your own towels. Why did I stay here more than once? The price is great except during Master's Week in April. I will pay more to stay somewhere else. I recommmend the Holiday In Express a few doors down with a hot FREE breakfast or Best Western across the street. PROs: great location, cheap price, and very friendly staff. CONs: Not very clean, no hot breakfast, and better choices in the area.
We had a good stay here during the 2010 practice rounds of the Masters. Nothing special but everything was clean. Our room had new carpet. Nina at the front desk was very nice. Would stay here again.
I will definately stay here again. The hotel was clean, spacious, and very well-kept. The beds were very comfortable. We would def stay here again. Very close to Augusta as well - only 15 minutes away! A lot of restaurants are nearby - within walking distance!
We were quite happy with our stay. The hotel is located right off I-20. The rooms are spacious and clean. The area is safe and very pleasant. Many restaurants nearby too! The staff was very nice and felt like a home away from home. We will be staying with your hotel again. Thank you for your hospitality!
We stayed here for one week because we were visiting family in town. The hotel served our needs perfectly. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly. The environment was safe. Augusta is only 20 minutes away so we would go there if we wanted to go to some nice restaurants or shopping. I would recommend this hotel.
We stayed during Masters last year and forgot to write a review (as we are going again this year!). The hotel itself is very quiet and comfortable. We would start with breakfast which was a pleasant surprise of dunkin donuts coffee, fruit, and many other standard breakfast items. The room was clean and had the standard hotel ammenties (shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, etc...) in the room. We were very happy with out stay and will be staying again this year!
All they had available were smoking rooms but you would think they would at least empty the ashtrays. Took our towls after the first night but didn't replace them with clean ones. Would never stay again. They jacked up the rate because of the Masters, seems they would have at least cleaned a little bit.
worst motel ive ever stayed at.beds are very uncomfortable and apparently room service does not exist.
Stayed here after UGA football game. Last minute booking, nothing else available. Check-in was more like Police booking. Prominent sign said 'No refunds after 10 minutes'. Not very encouraging. Another sign said 'No visitors after 11:00 p.m.'. Room was tiny, but clean. Air conditioning worked well. Inch thick pillows, no shampoo, no tissues, only two threadbare towels and two wash cloths. Not even the basic amenities for modern motel. T.V. worked, but closed captioning permanently on, very distracting. Not a good value even with low price.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The service was professional. I would recomend to al my friends.
The room was not nice; window didn't close properly; hot water didn't work; bathroom very bad condition; bed very uncomfortable.
My room was adequate, it was a single double that had been converted to a king, so the headboard was way out of proportion. The biggest problem was when I went into the room, the AC was not running! We are in the midst of a heatwave, the room must have been 90 degrees. It took about 2 hours for it to fully cool since the AC unit was wheezing along on it's last legs.
