Pros: Ambiance, character, owners.
Cons: Everything was perfect!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Peaceful location, friendly and helpful hosts, very comfortable bed and lovely breakfast. We were travelling to Cornwall and breaking the journey and this was an excellent place to do that. We were given a room upgrade which was very nice.
Cons: No complaints. The food portions were very generous and a bit too much for anyone not having done a day's labouring in the fields - though not really a complaint!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A delightful pub in rural Devon. Our room was large, bed huge and very comfortable, and new modern tiled bathroom a pleasure to use. Big fluffy towels, fresh each day. The breakfast was enormous and delicious. We seemed to be the only guests staying there, but Dave and Ali put out the full complement of food voices every morning. In the evenings we at at the pub, selecting from a large menu. Everything we had was delicious and reasonable and it was so nice after driving all day to eat and drink and sleep at the same place. No need to drive at night.
Cons: It was a bit of extra driving to stay at black dog rather than in a town, but worth it. We went on day trips each day in a different direction, so that aspect of location was great.

Pros: A beautiful farmhouse set in the most gorgeous countryside. We stayed in a lovely room in the converted barn. The owners were friendly and helpful and breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay there again.
Cons: Nothing! It was all lovely! It is down some narrow country lanes. As Devon residents we’re used to that, but if you’re not it might be a bit of a challenge. All part of the beauty of the place.

Pros: Staff were great.
6.3 Good
Pros: When we arrived the staff were very helpful and showed us to our rooms and explained things very well. Our very small room had been recently decorated and was ok but in our view overpriced. We liked the village very much and it’s surroundings.
Cons: Breakfast didn’t appear to run smoothly. We had to wait for well over half an hour for our cooked breakfast The croissants were taken away before the full English breakfast was served. It would have been nice to have a bowl of chopped fresh fruit, prunes or even grapefruit. Only three cereals to choose from. When the full English arrived we were not warned of the very hot plates.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was first class. The lamb Inn had amazing character with a friendly atmosphere .
Cons: Wouldn't change anything.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were a delight: welcoming, super-efficient, nothing too much trouble and they went out of their way to look after us with both courtesy and kindness. A lovely house, well-appointed and beautifully and peacefully located. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, tastefully-decorated. Little personal touches which made all the difference for us - very dog-friendly. The food was fantastic - deserves a Michelin star in our opinion. Original, adventurous menu - a lot of time and effort had clearly gone into preparation: dishes were made with meticulous care using freshest ingredients. Canapes were a series of beautifully-presented little bombs of pure flavour. Matthew’s mixology was inspirational. Even breakfast was served imaginatively. Thanks so much to the whole team for a really enjoyable stay.
Cons: Nothing we didn’t like.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff are amazing, remote and quiet. Great food
Cons: Only comment if I have to say is the bar and lounge is a little bright at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hospitality at Paschoe House was second to none. Every need, whim, desire was catered for. From first contact to gift bags for the road in departure. They couldn’t have made it any more perfect. A couple of particular highlights: The food was adventurous yet delicious - such an unexpected treat! Fabulous wines too and local gins too. Knowledgeable, friendly and incredibly diligent staff. Extra effort into catering for the dog too, including setting us up a fabulous dinner in front of the fire next with her. So special. The extra little touches were so beautifully and thoughtfully added too- including chocolates on arrival and a gift for the dog. There is genuinely nothing I can fault about the stay. I hope every weekend get away could be like this we loved every element. Thank you to all the team at Paschoe House who made it so special for us. We will be back!!

Pros: Location very quiet village in the countryside but close to a wedding venue we had been invited to. Price was reasonable. If you have active children the play facilities seemed excellent.
Cons: Room had very squeaky floorboards. Non-cooked breakfast choices were limited but adequate.

Pros: Check in wasn’t very good the lady didn’t show us to our room and it was dark and confusing to find. Plus she didn’t tell us what time breakfast was - she was dismissive. However, when we did go down for breakfast the gentleman serving us was warm, helpful and chatty.
Cons: Customer service upon arrival
