Excellent value evening meal. Impressively hands-on manager. Bathrooms more spacious than in Ibis
that there was a pool I couldn't put the restaurant bill onto the room bill - they seemed to be two separate entities
Functional, close to the resort, swimming pool. Toilet wasnt really clean under the rim - little smelly. No tea and coffee in the room Access to Tea and coffee was in the bar - not quite approrpiate for small children. Vending machine for Tea & Coffee would have been great
being in walking distance of Futuroscope lack of eating facilities outside of meal time, breakfast seemed expensive but we slept through breakfast time so didn't see what was available for the money.
Very good breakfast. Plenty of parking. Confusing layout, as there are two hotels in the same building. Tried two other breakfast rooms (the one for the more expensive hotel and the one for coach parties) before we found the right one.
location of the hotel and helpfull hotel staff
Good location close to futuroscope park.Free car parking, good breakfast. I think good value for money.
Very easy access from the motorway. International approach, without awkward surprises. A clear indication of vegetarian dishes, without meat, fish and seafood, would be very helpful.
Simple, clean 4 person bedroom, within walking distance of Futuroscope, at a very reasonable price
This hotel was adequate for our short stay. Clean and reasonably comfortable, though our room was rather small for 3 people. Had some difficulty with the cards used to activate the lighting in the room. Kind of strange and worked erratically.
restaurant, was excellent with helpful and pleasant staff
Good location. and kind staffs.
Hotel proposing 4-person bedroom, free WiFi, vast parking, close to A10 Highway exit. Squeeky bed, room very small for 4, missing towels & shower gels for 4, room not ready when checking in, breakfast very expensive for item choice proposed.
The politness and service of the staff
Travelling with dogs so it is good to have a safe area where they can be walked. Reasonable restuarant close at hand. Safe parking outside room for car. Complimentary tea and coffee in room. Beds very uncomfortable. Foam squabs with a tendency to shift about. Baths and bathrooms very slippery with no grab handles. Quite dangerous for older people.
Good clean facilities, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds and excellent provision for meals and drinks. Good location and easy to find. None
Except of breakfast, all was underlevel: pillows, shower, staff was simply rude. I understand that they are tired, but we are also tired, + wth kids, and we want holidays, and want to enjoy it...
This hotel is in walking distance of the Futuroscope theme park and therefore was a great location for visiting this park, as you do not have to pay for car parrking at the attraction which was very expensive. When we arrived the room was not as we had booked - I booked a room with a double and two singles. What we got when it was eventually ready ( 45 minutes waiting time and this was three hours after checking in time was supposed to be available!), we got three single and a pull out bed on the floor.
Easy to reach, good parking place, good breakfast The family room is a bit small
Close to the main road,Clean,Food ok Rooms are walm (Airconditiong would be good)
We stayed at this hotel previously 11 years ago. It has been refurbished, the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was good -as one expects for a Novotel. The Hotel is situated on the Futuroscope theme park complex, and our intention, apart from an overnight stop, was to attend the illuminations spectacular show, at 2230 and 2330. We were delayed in arriving at the Hotel through traffic congestion. We couldn't find information about attending the theme park, reception couldn't assist, and therefore took our car there - although a shuttle bus was evident. In consequence although we expected to get dinner at the Hotel, by the time we got out of the theme park car park in rain, all public areas in the Hotel were closed. We had a dry sandwich on room service, and a bottle of wine out of the car. This is not what we expect of a 3 star hotel, and happened purely because of lack of information
Please write at least 15 words Room dirty and shabby.Looked more like to inside of a caravan.
The reception staff were very helpful The bathroom had hairs in the sink drain, the shower did not drain and flooded the bathroom until I spoke to reception and there was a funny/bad smell all along floor 2 and in our room as though the drains were blocked.
The breakfasts and room were fine. The standard of evening meal was poor and the waiter not particularly helpful
As a person who has used Mercure hotels for a number of years, this is the worst I have stayed in. The food was of very poor quality - we had the speciality of the day and it was almost inedible.
Excellent location just off A10 and close to Futuroscope. Very helpful staff. Good restaurant No problems Enjoyed our stay
Efficient and pleasant management. Clean, basic hotel. Staff on duty until 23.00hrs which is helpful if travelling from the South of France.
The staff were so helpful and charming the food was excellent. Would stay there again .
Easy to find from the autoroute. An excellent meal for very reasonable price.
Good functional hotel with good restaurant
Understaffed at reception
Clean and self contained- on-site resturant was good Noisy neighbours at midnight woke infant up
Clean, quiet and reasonable price, we also used the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast, this was excellent.
The room was very comfortable and it had tea and coffee making facilities, which is very unusual. It was quiet at night and we had a wonderful night's sleep. It looks like a motel from the outside, but once in the room it's much better.
Excellent dinner menu and good value for money.
Lovely setting in a very pretty villiage . Dinner food very good but breakfast very overpriced.
I have stayed before and I was delighted to stay again. We were travelling up from Spain with our very large dog and the hotel staff were superb in accommodating our needs. The five course gourmet evening meal was excellent. As it is a small village there is no cafe/bar if you want to walk out for a drink, but not a real problem as the hotel met the needs.
The pool the good sized bedroom, decor in hotel. There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom.
Food was excellent in a lovely setting. Rooms in annexe are very modernised but very comfortable. Excellent secure parking in private gardens. Pretty village with river.
This was the second visit and we appreciated the quiet nature of the hotel, surrounding gardens and swimming pool. There remains a worry that the fabric of the outside features, eg the fish pond area, is deteriorating quickly and no clear evidence of repair.
Great location and nice grounds to walk around. Nice village near by for evening walk along river. No air conditioning in rooms we stayed in.
Pleasant bright restauarant with varied menu and friendly staff. Lovely quiet grounds with tall trees and deep shade. Stagnant lily pond with dilapidated stone surround detracts from otherwise very high quality
Great quiet village location. Next to a park with a good playground for young kids. Pool was too cold for children. One of the childrens fold up beds had slats missing.
The building, service and restaurant The bed was a bit hard.
very friendly staff; nice rooms, easy check -in , nice buffet for breakfast; good prices, near the attraction parc futuroscope
Excellent location for overnight stay while travelling South/North, close to the highway. Breakfast is oke and they have a nice diner concept. Rooms are quite small, the bathroom is outdated and you only have one small (thin) towel per person.
Friendly staff, very pleasant stay.
The room was comfortable, the food was good, staff were helpful, car parking convenient and the location was perfect for an overnight stop.
Value for money.Voor laat aankomen en vroeg vertrekken een prima hotel. Goede bedden, goed ontbijt, bewaakte parking.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
Silence and comfort.
Futuroscope The food. The pool was much smaller than expected.
convenience for an overnight stop, At Ibis you know you get, value for money, the buffet dinner and breakfast was good, rooms slightly smaller than other ibis but OK
Very comfortable, good breakfast, perfect location for overnight stop and easy parking.
Lovely hotel good staff nice room only thing wrong was the meal on night 2 was rather cold
Lovely setting. Breakfast and Dinner were very good. Room on the small side
Very nice suite Unfortunately we forgot to book for the dinner and it was impossible to get something to eat.
location room not good value - advertised as 'en suite' - wc not in room but in the public hallway - shower and whb small - room furniture poor
Too expensive, pushy staff. Uninteresting, expensive, and no choice food. Located adjacent to surburbian housing estate, dull village of with zero entertainment factor and rude bar staff.Local beer is undrinkable sludge at €9.50 per bottle.Purse left in reception area was not returned until specifically asked for."Five minutes away from Châtellerault"? by what? Nuclear missile?
We found all the staff very pleasant and helpful. We were allocated a clean and comfortable room with a balcony with chairs where we could relax. The meal had a choice of main course and desert and a set starter and it was all tasty and well cooked. A lovely location and very well converted buildings. Suggest that those who could not lock their doors should have asked as the door handle just had to be lifted to allow the key to turn.
Delightful buildings and layout, unspoilt character, relaxed and welcoming ambiance, very nice dining / breakfast room with excellent selection of high quality items on offer. Very friendly and welcoming staff. None as such - the only comment is that, for late night arrivals, it would be nice to be able to take a drink before bed (no bar or tea/coffee making facilities available).
Location, peace and quiet, friendley staff
The buildings and ambience were lovely. The swimming pool was positioned thoughtfully, not too close to the accommodation. Pleasant view from bedroom and balcony. The bedroom was on the small side and the evening meal was disappointing. I had expected interesting and fresh flavours but it was over-salted and the vegetables over-cooked. Not something I would do at home, I hope, despite being British!
The view of the place is great. They have been very considerate when making a hotel from these buildings. Nice, friendly service, very relaxed. Food was good. Couldnt find the pigeoners loft that is shown in the picture
not a lot .... we have stayed here 4 times, but the standards are now poor, bad attitude from staff ,not very clean,,,
Toilet set needs replacing the bathroom had not been cleaned properly.
Convenient.Easy to find.A Chain so you know what to expect. Both members of staff on duty were sullen to the point of rudeness. No cups for hot drinks in the room and we were told to take two plastic ones from the water machine in reception. One of the two milks in the room was already open.
food/restaurant location/proximity to town
No noisy. Too small
The fair size of the hotel room and the confortable bed. Compared to some of the other shoe box sized hotel rooms this was huge.
Good size bed and the room was warm and comfortable. All the facilities were clean. Mattress too hard. I could not understand why there is an annex by front door as this takes up valuable room space.
Friendly,convenient and hospitable
cleanliness of your room
Great location! The family room was quite small and the bathroom needs updating.
Not much---room was cheap and poorly appointed; bathroom was lacking soap & shower; bed was hard; stuffyw/ little air. It was funky but staff was accomodating and pleasant.
Excellent value for money.
Very little Room was very small at top of hotel. We were not informed that hotel had no lift. Dogs in breakfast room allowed to roam freely
Very friendly staff
clean room, friendly staff food wasn't good.
We have stayed here before. Richelieu is a very pretty town, worth exploring. The hotel is a lovely old building and the food is very good.
Very friendly staff and superb food in a brilliant setting overlooking the fountain in the pretty square.
Position in an interesting town. We did not think it was particularly good for older people as the stairs were steep and narrow and there was no lift. We were concerned about fire escape facilities.
It was clean. Very difficult to find, as it is not called the Nouvelle Classe on any signs, and is tucked away on an industrial/shopping estate
Close proximity to futuroscope helpful staff Rubbish left lying at one end of building
Staff and breakfast were pleasant; price was very cheap. Hotel was Balladin but has been renamed very recently - not very clearly signposted. Access via industrial estate although faces onto D910. Room door didn't close properly and couldn't sleep because of draught - this would be awful in winter; room small and our daughter kept hurting herself by banging into metal framed bunk bed & beds.
lovely dinner at La Ferme that nite eased alot of our disquiet accepted that the staff had no english whatsoever, but they did not seem to have delegated duties, they seemed to spend their time standing and bickering with eachother. we could only assume that they had just taken over the motel.
Comfortable clean room, albeit very small. B/fast staff were great. Gentlemen on check in were off hand and slow. Should make it clear that hotel name is 'Baladin' don't bother looking for 'Nouvelle Classe Hotel'
Clean, well-decorated and comfortable.
