9.6 Excellent
Pros: We booked three rooms as we needed to be in Brooks for a family event. The hotel gave us adjoining rooms which was nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast room was part of the lobby so there was lots of room and the breakfast was excellent with lots of variety. And when we first arrived there was a popcorn machine with freshly popped popcorn yum.

Pros: Close to all the places we were there to enjoy a wedding. Small town with many enemities.
Cons: Stinky air quality
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location is great, we went to visit Dinosaur National Park, which is less than 30 minutes away, so great location. There were lots of restaurants within walking distance including Boston Pizza, Montana/s, McDonalds, Tim Horton's, Wendys to name a few. ( Get a 10% discount at Boston Pizza and Montana's) Hotel was clean and quiet. Our three kids had a blast at the pool. Pool is warm and water slide is fast and fun. We had the pool to ourselves most of our stay. The waterslide wasn't on when we went before dinner one time and front desk staff kindly turned it on for us. In the late afternoons and evenings there is also popcorn in the lobby. Great for the kids. Breakfast was great, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, make your own waffle, toast, pastries and cereal. Our room was clean and perfect for our family. I like that it had a separate sink beside the mini fridge so we didn't have to use the bathroom sink for water and washing water bottles etc. We had a king bed with French doors that closed to main living area, so kids could sleep separate on a sofa bed and a roll a way bed. Lots of room for the two nights we were there. If we come back to Brooks, we will definitely stay here again.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Hot breakfast, Awesome! Beautiful place, and comfortable beds.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was great for our family of 5. The kids loved the pool and waterslide! Location was great, close to everything we needed. Breakfast had a great variety, there was something for everyone.
Cons: We were there for a hockey tournament so the hotel was full of kids. It did get pretty loud at night with kids running around. I did see the staff walking throughout however and asking the noise be brought down so kudos for that.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds and comfy, staff are friendly, we will definitely come and visit again
Cons: Nothing I can’t think of
10.0 Excellent
Pros: My husband and I loved it there. The room was great and I love the breakfast in the morning
Cons: The shower could have been cleaned better. There were a few hairs in it. Make sure it is cleaned and checked thoroughly.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was easy to find, right on the main drag. The building is clean and welcoming. The room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and had all the necessities. I will certainly stay there again!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I was not able to figure out how your shower works.
Cons: Everything was awesome
6.7 Good
Pros: The pool, the cleanness, and location,
Cons: The staff at the front desk were very rude, we went to ask if we could make our check out time a bit longer then 11 as we got in late that night, and the lady at the front snapped and said no, if we would have known we couldn’t extend our check out time, I would have went to the Ramada, the lady was very rude, snobby,
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Wifi signal strength could have been stronger in some rooms.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good
Cons: The air conditioner is working on first room we stay
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent--front desk and breakfast attendants. Quick to respond to requests. The room was fine for the price.
Cons: Breakfast is good, considering there's no freshly-cooked hot food. There is an assortment of breakfast sandwiches and eggs you can microwave and many bread/pastry/waffle/french toast items for you to toast. There's only one microwave and one toaster, so if many people arrive for breakfast at once, you might have to wait to heat up your food. The fresh, cut fruit, yogurt and hard-boiled eggs as well as the 4 juices and assortment of hot beverages were very nice. There aren't many places to eat nearby if you don't want chain food or fast food, but that certainly isn't the fault of the property--just information for future visitors.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was great to the kids
Cons: Pool was closed but rate wasn’t adjusted accordingly. Kids look forward to pool in hotels so they were extremely disappointed. Waffle mix tasted like dough
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean and well staffed.
Cons: The WiFi never did work while we were there. I’m sure this not normal though.

6.0 Good
Cons: It was noisy and the front desk staff were not very friendly. Food in restaurant was good and the breakfast that came with the room was very good.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We went over to club Spin that was attached, to the hotel and the waitresses and bar staff that was on, were excellent. We were the only ones in the place, they open up the tables so we can play pool. We order drinks and they were unsure how to make a old fashion so they were more then inviting to let us teach them. We ended up staying and playing pool for over 5 hours in that time they were only ones I. There off and on. Happy hour was from 5-11 and we also had a 10% discount card if you order food. The food was good, we found the salt and pepper dry ribs to be a bit salty, but other wise good food.
Cons: No Elevator and the free breakfast wasn’t that great.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The restaurant was excellent, had friendly staff and good food
Cons: Our bathroom in room was filthy, we had to get the manager to come clean the tub as there was hair and grime. The furniture in room was dusty and dirty. The hallways smelled like smoke, hotel in general seemed very out dated. When we booked the rooms online it was very confusing, I thought I booked at heritage inn and suites, but it was actually heritage inn and convention Center. The pictures online made me believe we were in the new building.... and since the hotel logos are the same it’s easy to mix them up...
7.5 Good
Pros: Was clean and affordable. Comfy pillows.
Cons: The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. We had the front office call our room to say they received a complaint about the noise from our room and we were just laying in bed talking. Bring ear plugs if you stay here!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice quiet restaurant and breakfast was great.
Cons: Very slippery and icy this morning however there wasn’t any sand or ice melt put out which would have been helpful in maneuvering to one’s vehicle.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly staff! Super helpful when our heater was not on irking in our room they helped us move in two seconds flat! And gave us a complimentary breakfast for our troubles. And spotless!!! In good repair.
Cons: The hallway is a bit confusing! But not a big deal.

Pros: Great location and very quiet. Also had a private outside door to my room so I can in and out fast. This place is great!
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Room was okay but when we drove up the outside was terrible. Someone should clean it up and remove the broken window blinds
7.9 Good
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Breakfast was poor
4.0 Okay
Pros: The staff was friendly.
Cons: This location needs some updating - Bathroom linoleum was curling up, shower wall was bowed from what we can only assume was water damage. The couch in our room was very stained that we didn't even go near it. The building still smells of cigarette smoke from when you could still smoke in the rooms?

Prairie Schooner Inn - Brooks - Bedroom
10.0 Excellent (1 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Brooks, Prairie Schooner Inn is within a 15-minute drive of Duchess Golf Course and Brooks Golf Club. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amanda and Lorne run an excellent value bed and breakfast. The bed was so wonderfully comfortable, there was a fridge in my room, and breakfasts are prepared fresh every morning. If you’re lucky, Amanda will cook up her fluffy amazing pancakes, well worth setting aside your low-carb diet for. She and Lorne are the quintessential B&B proprietors: friendly, cheerful, available, and knowledgeable. A few tips: It’s easy to drive past the place even though it’s on a major road, because it’s hidden back behind some lush trees (and google maps has its location off a bit). Also, bring soap and shampoo, and if you’re paying with a credit card, be sure to override the “tip” function (which is on their machine for their restaurant).

7.0 Good
Pros: Overall experience was very good last year and continued this year. Will stay there again next year.
Cons: No shampoo provided in room (2nd year/2nd time). I can live the dispenser soap. I just don't like using it to wash (shampoo) my hair!
7.1 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable. There was Wifi and TV which is great. The stove oven and fridge all worked. Good price.
Cons: Sofa bed tilts so your head is lower than your feet. Dirty behind and beside sofa. Booked because there was a pool. Pool was broken. Very disappointing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Value, clean, staff friendliness, location
Cons: No hair dryer

Royal City Motor Inn - Brooks - Building
6.7 Good (46 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Brooks, Royal City Motor Inn is a 2-minute drive from Brooks Golf Club and 8 minutes from Brooks Aqueduct. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Not much
Cons: Found bed bugs , office closed so I packed up and left. Took pictures though for public health.
6.7 Good
Pros: The host went out of his way to be accommodating. We parked our bikes inside the building. And, although the kitchen was closed by the time we arrived, he was more than happy to whip us up a bite to eat.
Cons: The building is old and pretty run down, but our bed and towels were clean, which is all we need after a day on the bikes.
4.2 Okay
Pros: Bed was king-size, clean and comfy. Room furniture was adequate to good. Security was questionable - locks, open doors, etc. Kitchen - cleanliness could be an issue. Owner was kind - tried to please us. Understood from him that he is trying to update the facility. Quet area.
Cons: Hotel appeared in disarray. Sign was partially missing.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Welcoming staff
Cons: The building clearly needs renovation. There was mold in our room.
1.0 Poor
Cons: Dirty and cold
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: This has got to be one of the worst motels I’ve stayed in the hotel stunk like cigarette smoke there was only one towel in our room there was no staff at the hotel what so ever to greet us or check in we had to call the owner to check in the hotel is dirty and very uncomfortable atmosphere I do not recommend going there alone if you have to go there
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I drove across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver with my pet dog. I stayed in 5 different hotels so far. And I had to say that Royal City Hotel is the best bang for the bucks. The rate is very affordable, almost the cheapest of the five. And on top of that there's no pet fee. Best of all, it came with a hot, delicious breakfast cooked to my order by the owner himself. He said he did this just because it's more convenient for the guest so they don't have to worry about finding breakfast. The hotel looks kind of old from the outside, but the room is nice and clean!
Cons: I have nothing bad to say.
7.9 Good
Pros: Good hot breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: Good do with some upgrading but was good for one night.
7.5 Good
Pros: We got an upgraded room. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Cooked breakfast is included in price of about £40 per night per room! Quite comfortable room and bed. Food at restaurant very cheap and looked good.
Cons: This is a case of you get what you pay for. It is extremely cheap accommodation but it shows. Rooms are furnished with 1960s brown furniture and it's not especially clean. Not particularly well equipped rooms.
