In the rooms more information should be given on how to operate the air conditioning. Apparently you have to ask reception if you wnat it on and they control it from there. Also the shutters in the room that help keep the room cool we found out we had to use the remote control to operate them if wer wanted them open. No instructions regarding this were left in the room. I thought this was poor Lack of information in the room on how applicances operate. - Especially the shutters and how they operated we never thought to use the remote control at all.
Breakfast poor even after italian style.
The view I think we were v.unfortunate arriving on an Italian Bank Holiday, however why they should turn off air con is beyond me. The restaurant was closed plus virtually all other services and lights! - could I not have been told this by the hotel during the 3 months prior to my arrival. The hotel is very difficult to find in a complicated one way system, and hotel signs at edge of town run out.
very helpful staff who understand English, location was good no
Nuetral not specific good or bad
the convience to visit friends/relatives in Potenza and to visit other various towns nearby.
The best breakfast we ever got in Italy, bravo! We liked also the translation of TV in the bathroom and the 2 standards for sockets Personnel is very frandly, but has some trouble with English
Good facilities and everything working in the hotel. Better selection of bread in the breakfast requested. Also, the elevator is noicy and may disturb in rooms close to it.
A spacious room, nicely furnished, clean, nice bathroom. The restaurant is excellent. People are very helpful. A little bit difficult to find, when you come for the first time.
A very well design hotel, truly beautiful ample rooms , great bathroom with hair dryers and amenities It was excellent
The friendliness of the staff and the restaurant + Location
I am an American. It was nice to find the hotel so easy. Clean, non smoking, great food. Antonio and Rocco did an exceptional job in helping us with our needs - Salute!
courtesy of staff, indoor parking difficulty in finding - needs clear English statement: "coming from the Salerno direction, the hotel is located on the autostrade (do not go into town) at the Bucaletto Exit (slow down or you will miss the turn-off) the hotel is next to (and just before) an Agip Gas Station. The map given by the hotel on Google is wrong.
The restaurant was terrific
We stayed in this hotel twicw and we received a great welcome and taken to a spotlessly clean comfortable well equiped room with spacious shower room each time. We received personal service for dinner which was a gourmet delite and cooked fresh to our choice accompanied with a bottle of excellent local red wine. The family and staff are so friendly and happy to show us the kitchen and the chef and his staff chatted about the food they were preparing for a big wedding party the following day. From what we saw it is a pity we could not join in. All in all a great place to stay and very convenient close to the main road to Southern Italy.
We were offered a free bottle of Spumante by the owner as he was celebrating 25th wedding anniversary a few tables from us. No swimming pool.
Staff were very helpful, nothing was too much trouble
This is a wonderful hotel, elegant and comfortable with friendly helpful staff, it is like stepping back 100 years but with all the modern conveniences. The town is charming and like going back several hundred years with narow winding streets and residents who actualy greet you and seem happy to share their home. The cusine at the retaurant is world clas as is the service. The prices reasonable as in any large city both the room and food would easily cost 4 times as much. Easy to get to off highway if driving. We only had one night to stay there.
Good location. Good meal Access and directions on the ground
Quiet, good location, and very nice building.
There's nothing not to like. The hotel is romantically beautiful in a charming village. Every room was different and special. We'll come back anytime. Breakfast could be a bit more expanded.
Wonderful hotel! Staff went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. I can't imagine a better place from which to explore this interesting region of Italy.
The hotel is nice, but unfortunately the staff speaks very little English. In the restaurant no-one spoke English. The restaurant staff seemed not to be too kind nor very service-oriented, perhaps because of language barrier.
It is a nice old house converted into a very luxury hotel at a very convenient price. The staff is nice, food is excellent and the view is remarkable. Maybe the breakfast service could improve a little bit in terms of variety of food to eat
