Pros: Very clean, very friendlly staff, nice location.
Cons: Some staff do not speak English!
Pros: Beautiful country hotel with a large view out of four windows and two glass doors with two balconies! Great views of the countryside and Restaurant next door. The facilities were nice and an elevator was available, plus one could drive up to the door of the guest house to take the luggage out of the car and into the lobby. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit and eggs to order as well. Restaurant was excellent. The veal of venison was the best I have had since 1967 and I have eaten many of these meals during our 40 year "stay" in Europe. Quiet; however, lively place to visit near Passau but off the tourist beaten path. A Village Museum two miles away was an added bonus since it looks so authentic. Some buildings were already on site since the 16th century, others were hauled in with heavy equipment and reconstructed. A lake is nearby as well. The staff at the hotel and restaurant are very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when we visit this area.
Cons: We have nothing negative to report about this place.

Cons: No complaints
Pros: Bright and comfortable room + bathroom, nice terrase
Cons: Too much traffic in the night.
Pros: The great surprise was the wet toilet paper! First time seen in a medium class hotel. Congrats! And the coffee mashine in the hallway. And another great surprise was the payment with credit card. Yes, despite what is written in the description, you can pay not only cash.
Cons: The hotel is located close to a church ...and the bells are runnig 24/7. Not even a night break. But the windows are sondproof - so, no problem :). The pillows are to soft for my taste ..but this is a matter of personal taste :)
Pros: It was very nice check in. Room was cosy , clean and comfortable, You have there a comfortable parking. Good location nearby to Passau.
Pros: I was thinking of driving further into Passau, but stopped here, instead. That was a great decision. This is a relaxing little town and the guesthaus is terrific. The front desk people were quite helpful and the dinner and breakfast were great. The room was clean and had everything I needed.
Pros: The atmosphere of the house, the furnishing of the room, nice and handy. Good beds. Had recently been renovated in a modern alpine style. Very good restaurant, although it was an extremely busy night 5ey managed to serve the excellent food in a friendly manner. Breakfast was of high quality, the lady of the house seems to have everything well under control

Pros: It was anything all right, there is nothing to mention against it.
Pros: Was cosy and the WiFi signal was strong.
Cons: No one speaks English. Despite it saying that check in was until 8pm I got a message while I was travelling saying I had to self check in... fine... except it was all in German and no one answered the phone! Luckily a local lady who spoke basic English passed by and helped to get in before I got really desperate! The church bells rang at 6 am and were loud, shortly after that as I was dozing off again an air raid siren rang... test a siren at 6:30 in the morning? Surely not!!!! All I could think of was the nuclear power station I passed on the way so I jumped out of bed got dressed and ran downstairs only to get out on the street to find the whole town was still somehow fast asleep! WTF!?!?
Pros: Good breakfast
Cons: Very dusty room. Probably it was clean some time ago...Not comfortable beds with lot of noise. Not friendly personnel which even did not know the price of the room (was asking more than was booked via booking.com). Poor location as nothing to do in the neighbourhood's.
Pros: The location is center of the town and opposite the Edeka supermarket.
Pros: Lovely and comfortable place to stay. We were on a road trip and needed place to stay for the night. Bit out of the motorway but that’s was OK. We needed quiet and quaint place for the night as the lake ne drive and the motorway was getting to us The pension is lovely old building( several) put together in nice comfortable unit. The room was on the second floor spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. One think I really appreciated was the nice softer beds, usually in that part of the country they prefer hard matrices. So cudos for that. The place doesn’t offer meals, but we were directed to a very nice beer house with Delilah local dishes. Huge portions more than ok prices. There is secure parking on the back as well. Property warns that is next door to the church because of the church bells but there is no issue
Pros: Really wonderful crew.. Very caring attitude!
Pros: Very good location and it is quite popular. Room is clean.
Cons: The breakfast is so so and only uses cash to check out. The host does not have good English skills.
With a stay at Gasthof-Pension Kerber in Fürstenstein, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Museumsdorf Bayerischer Wald and Ilztal. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Spacious and clean room. Excelent option for a transit night or for a friends reunion. Good breakfast. There was no problem for parking, even though my utility vehicle was a 6.3m lenght one.
Cons: It could have been a little bit warmer in the room. Especially in the bathroom. I think everything is fine here during the summer.
Pros: Room was great, breakfast was great, diner was good.
Cons: The road was quite a busy one. The staff mostly couldn't speak english
Pros: The place was beautifully located, local shops in short driving distance, petrol station We ate in the restaurant and the portions were very large and they accommodated our dietary preferences and the price was reasonable. The room was very spacious and having had to amend our booking , it was wonderful. The host spoke English and was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was great with a nice choice. I'd definitely stay here again
Cons: This isn't what we didn't like but a suggestion - The menu was in German only and very porky. It would be nice if there could be an English translation on the wall with numbers that one could read. A few staff weren't so approachable when asking advice. There is no kettle in the room and nowhere to get a hot drink at night. For those of us who don't eat certain meats or meat at all, meat on the cheese isn't helpful at breakfast.
Pros: Alles was perfect
Pros: Excellent experience, I loved every moment I stayed there. Nice an quite location, amazin owners, very clean bathroom. I enjoyed the fact the hotel is pet friendly. Everybody, even the guests were friendly.
Pros: Good overnight stay to break our journey. Clean ans confortable room. Hearty meal in the pub one floor below. Very friendly service. Good breajkfast!
Cons: Decoration could be updated and bathroom renovated.
Pros: Everything , excellent conditions , meal, stuff, confort ,all it was just perfect!
Located in Saldenburg, PENSION BERGSTUBN is a 3-minute drive from Ilztal and 9 minutes from Museumsdorf Bayerischer Wald. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The area of the hotel is really natural! If you would visit the Bayern forest - stop here. The owner is very kind and helpfull. Most of the furnitures a bit oldstylish, but the bathroom and windows are replaced, quite new. The rooms were clean. There is a terrace, if you have time and the wheather is good enough you can stay there and relax.
Pros: It was a single night stopover. Lovely hostess, comfortable and clean room and a great breakfast. There was a sunny balcony with views of the Bayern Woods. The hostess was helpful and told us of a great restaurant in the village - just 10 minutes on foot. We would stay here again if we were in the area.
Pros: Room was comfortable (especially the mattresses), shower was great. Quiet beautiful rural setting with a very accommodating and personable hostess. The food (we had soup in the evening and breakfast) was fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.
Pros: The surroundings is beautiful, the pension is about 20 km from the highway. The area is very quiet. The room is very nice and very clean. The bed is comfortable. Very good for a one-night stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful!
Cons: There is not anything I could mention as negative. I am fully satisfied with my stay, if I have the time I will stay again.
Pros: The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and we were pleasantly surprised by small Toblerone chocolates on the night stand. We spent the evening on the balcony enjoying the silence of the region. No traffic noise, no pubs with loud music, no crazy neighbours, just plain quiet, away from the stressful daily business. Breakfast was tasty but average in choices (a few sorts of cheese, charcutery, bread, vegetables, milk, orange juice and 3-4 sorts of corn flakes). We especially liked the latte macchiatto which the owner prepared for us. Internet connection was also very good.
Cons: We didn't really understand why the light in the room dresser didn't have a switch. It was somehow operated by a motion sensor which was connected to the light in the floor hallway? No idea.
Pros: Let's just say..I planned to stay one night....enjoyed my visit so much, I decided to stay an extra night. The accommodation, breakfast, location and value were 1st class. VERY clean and the host couldn't have been more helpful. Perfect for me and I certainly hope to return for longer.
Cons: Having to leave after my two nights. Truthfully, I can't think of anything which I didn't like.
Pros: Hotel is extremely clean. Comfortable beds. Warm welcome by the owner. Breakfast was delicious. My fourth stay in this hotel, and I would come back definitively. I really enjoyed every minute of my stay in this hotel. Excellent place to stay and explore Bavarian forrest.
Cons: Everything is excellent.
