Pros: Beautiful location, stylish room, great hikes in the area, and Guiseppe and his family did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Mille grazie!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The restored property was beautifully done, with many fine features, including a beautiful pool. Rooms were of good size with very nice decorations and comfortable. Staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Location was quiet and peaceful although within only a few minutes drive of towns with great food and atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast. The only surprise was the breakfast was not traditional Italian. No proteins eg. Cheese, salami, ham. Instead, loads of carbs. However this is just a small thorn in an otherwise lovely stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Giovanni and Genna were exceptional host. Lovely people, very welcoming. They suggest us a good restaurant for dinner and the breakfast was very good. The site is just peaceful, everything is completely beautiful. The room had a great view. I would stay there for few more days to relax!!!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a wonderfully updated old house smack in the center of town. I loved the luxury of the fresh and modern bathrooms and the lovingly restored local antique furniture. Luigi is the most attentive host and went out of his way to make our 3 days a complete success. Highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reviews are real: Luigi is the best hotel proprietor I've ever dealt with.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Private quarters in the center of this beautiful small town. Walking distance from the castle and cathedral. Very flexible host on arrival, departure, and breakfast times. Beautiful view from our room. A great place to get a taste of small town life in Italy. We loved the Irish pub around the corner that had vegetarian and gluten free options. We loved sitting among the locals and people-watching.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: New looking room couldn't have been cleaner. Bed was comfortable. Street parking just outside, Shared kitchen had plenty of breakfast options to get the day going. We really enjoyed this quiet, pretty, and folksy town!
Cons: The wifi was only good for one user. We were the last of the four rooms to get up. There was only enough hot water for 1/2 of one shower. Get up earlier than I did!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: There was actually no staff or owner at the property, or other guests so we had the whole place to ourselves. That was nice, but there really was no breakfast, unless we made it ourselves with what the owner had left us. He was kind enough to have non-lactose milk and other things for my wife. But we just went out for breakfast, which was not really a problem at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very elegant. We had the top floor room and the view of the mountains from the balcony was nothing less than spectacular! It was very comfortable and quiet.
Cons: There is not much I didn't like. I would have liked more choices for breakfast, but unfortunately in Italy Bed and Breakfasts are very limited by law in what they can serve. Only Hotels are allowed to offer cooked and fresh prepared foods, so it is not their fault.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Every thing was nice. Except my knees, which couldn’t help me to go up and down the stairs. Hope next time my room will be on the ground floor.
Cons: The breakfast.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Modern clean excellent value
Cons: Poor wifi
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the French doors over the town to the hills, and comfy sofa
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I absolutely enjoyed my stay here. I felt at home. The view from my balcony was amazing! Location is perfect. Luigi and other staff were exceptionally friendly. Very friendly town.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly hosts; location is beautiful & peaceful; dinner was simple but delicious & very good value for money

6.8 Good
Pros: Very friendly staff, good breakfast, the restaurant it's conveniently located at the bottom level, nice food at a reasonable price.
Cons: Rooms are quite outdated and old fashioned, bathroom was really clean but the shower faucet and toilet discharge were kind of difficult to operate (half broken), nothing major but it could use a little bit of maintenance replacing the broken parts.
7.0 Good
Cons: There was no shower in the room, only whirlpool.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast and dinner on site/service at the restaurant were great. Spa on site was quite relaxing, easy to spend the day there, perfect for a cold winter rainy day.
Cons: For a 4 star hotel the toiletries should be more than shower-gel-shampoo all-in-one kind. Also the price I booked and the price I paid were significantly different since then they add the entrance to the spa per person and some extra bathrobe kit that we were offered two seconds after arrival. I have no problem to pay any extra costs as long as the break it down at the moment they are offering it and not only when you have to pay at check out. I looked for this info throughly pre-stay and didn't find it.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely beautiful property! Only issue we had we location was that there was a marathon of some sort that blocked off the initial road to the property. The GPS tried brining is in 2 other routes where roads didn’t exist (may have been a GPS issue). As soon as we called the property, our Italian speaking daughter was able to get us directions from the woman who answered the phone and we easily found our way. She also gave us a recommendation for dinner that was outstanding. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our 2 week trip. This is definitely a top notch property we would recommend and hope to be able to return to one day! Grazie!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were so friendly and the place was in such a beautiful position that we forgave any shortcomings in the room. The meals in the evenings were a good standard. Good Italian Rustic cooking served with a smile.
Cons: The lightning was quite dim in the room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Everything was clean
Cons: There was. No WiFi in the room There was no “agri” in this tourismo Everything was new built in semi old style without “love” Despite there was a terras in the Sun we had to eat inside
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place. Rather than going out to eat, we stayed at the place, because we read the reviews. We agree the food was very good and it is not always easy to find very good food in Italy. Also, it was really nice to sit outside and eat, while taking in the lovely views. Great location, it is near the Majella Park and lots of hiking trails are available.
Cons: I agree with the comment that the room lighting was barely adequate.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This lovely albergo was situated in lovely location over-looking valleys with mountains in the distance. It was beautiful and serene.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a really nice experience staying at Il Portone. Excellent food, nice view, very kind hosts, everything you need for a nice stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic view. Beautiful house. Excellent breakfast with homemade yoghurt. Kind and helpful hosts.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely restoration of old stone building. Rooms were spacious and warm. Location was very peaceful.

Bellavista - Popoli - Building

8.8 Excellent (320 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was great! The hots was super nice and the breakfast was better than in most fancy hotels! The host was also very helpful and friendly, answered all our questions and reccmmended places to see in the city :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view from the terrace and jacuzzi bath
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very kind and the breakfast is excellent with ample choice. This B&B is high above town, you can have very good view of the town.
Cons: A little bit extra effort in locating this B&B.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast is perfect - lot of coffee, sweet cakes, yoghurts, muesli and very good cold meats. Served at the inner pation with magnificent view to the valley and the city. The room is clean with comfortable bed and the building itself is very nice and feels warm and comfortable (lot of flowers, new furniture etc.) The hosts are extraordinary nice and welcoming. The b&b is located at the hill just above the old city which is closed enough to the city by foot and gives a perfect view during breakfast or lazy evening. Big bathroom. All in all it is a perfect spot for discovering the mountains of Abruzzo.
Cons: Be aware that only entrance to the room on ground level is through glass balcony doors just in front of the bed which face parking and patio. And it is only window in the room. Therefore you have to choose between privacy (closed curtains) and light and fresh air (open curtains). Small adjustments like hangs for the towels in the bathroom and some closet for clothes would make the room perfect. The pressure of water in the shower (high tech with lights and radio) is unstable which is annoying. It might be hard to put additional bed in the room which is quite small (big bed, table with 2 chairs, open hangrail for clothes etc.). On the other hand we had a neighbours with small child in other room.
5.0 Okay
Pros: People and atmosphere were fantastic. VERY friendly and accommodating. Sweet dog Pita! Nice walk to the town. Would highly recommend!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very close to town. Very near to the National Parks. Breakfast on balcony with great view.
Cons: Nothing really.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely and oh what a view!!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Confort, breakfast view
Cons: Maybe TV is only in italian
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice accommodation with the very nice view over Popoli. The room is perfectly clean, so the bathroom. They have so cute dog, named Pitta. Breakfast is served on the terrace with the view over the town.
Cons: Weak internet access. The bed was not so cozy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was very good The location is a bit hard to find, not enough signage.
Cons: Size of room too small. Location TV operation

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location, kind and gentle staff, big rooms with a view, very good value for money.
Cons: My room had a connection door to the next. I could hear everythingword and every snore like the neighbor was in my room. I suggest to ask for another room if you get one with connecting door. Or bring ear plugs. But they need to be really good.

Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent

Pros: Great location, right on the main street. Very comfortable bed.

Pros: I'm a budget traveller so my opiniom might be not serious enough for those who are accustomed to luxury. I can only say that the owner, the place the surroundings create an ambience of "Italian paradiso". The owner gave us advice on what to do and where to go. However, if you want just to rest it's a perfect choice too.

Pros: Very spacious apartment with good facilities
Cons: Air con didn't do much and too much light and noise to have bedroom window and shutter open. Very difficult to find as booking.com and google maps show different locations about 2km from correct one, which I found by asking in a cafe. Owner did not seem to know about my booking even though it was paid in advance, but fortunately responded quickly to my call and had space.

Pros: Lovely building and grounds. Large rooms and beautiful roof terrace with good views. It’s much nicer than the photos on booking.com
Cons: It was a lovely hotel, but in a remote area in a lovely tiny town. I guess there aren’t many customers during April. There was nobody around when we checked in and we were locked out when we returned after a meal at 22.45 and couldn’t get any response from anyone. I’m sure (hopefully because we have re-booked!) it will be better staffed in the summer.

Pros: The location is great, beautifully situated. However the direct surroundings are not so pedestrian friendly, so to reach a restaurant or a hike nearby, it's best to take the car. We really had a great time here with a lot of beautiful walks within a 30 minute drive radius. The host has written his own little travel quide which offers a variety of activities.
Cons: Apparently it has been humid and as a result there are a lot of mosquitoes. Made sitting at the pool, or having dinner outside not so relaxing...
