Friendliness and helpfulness of staff with maps and directions to the town, recommendations of where to go. Would like to spend more time in the town Needed a car to get anywhere
Very good location during Neste rally Finland 2010
I was on business so only stayed for one night but I liked the way it was very clean, smart, the staff were very friendly and helpful. No
SPA is great. Breakfest is usual continental, nothing special. TV has only local FIN channels.
Celebrating of the new year, the offered excursion program, entertainments for children Cleaning of numbers has not been organised on time and quality
The good location, beautiful spa, very tasty meal in restraint . beautiful lake view from 3-4-floor rooms.
The room was great, the view terrific (make sure you get a room with a view, because if you're on the wrong side of the hotel, you'll be really disappointed) The receptionist (Suta) was really very kind and helpfull and made my stay in Jyväskylä a joy! I like a room where the windows can be opened... Not sure if it had to do with airconditioning or so, but this was the only drawback.
Excellent location, rooms with nice views, good spa facilities, good food, close vicinity to ski lifts,
The hotel was nice and comfortable. The room was cleam and comfy, and I slept well with no disturbancies. The breakfast selection could have been a bit wider.
It was easy to find the Cumulus Hotel located near the railway station. The service was polite and on a good level..There was a sufficient choice for breakfast. Difficulties with the car parking for the visitors.
meal was good Very dirty
Good hotel. Friendly stuff, clean room, not noisy, breakfast is usual but qualitative. Free parking. Center of city.
the hotel location it was no air conditioning
Your room is cleaned even if You do not put a sign for that. maybe its a pluss, but at the first time I was suprised about this in a negative way Swiming pool is not for swiming, but only to cool down after sauna - it is TOO cold. this was great dissapointment :((( Sauna working time is 6-9 PM. if You go for bussiness and have some mandatory entertainment program - dinner ect - no way to enjoy the only extra facility of this hotel. at the end - price and quality is at great disproportion
I found the room to be of a higher quality than what one can usually expect in a nordic hotel as most are pretty basic. This was one of the better ones. Excessive noise from 2nd floor live entertainment lounge up to 01:00 in the morning on week days & distance from hotel to Tori car park
Perfect location,in the main pedestrian street
Staff was very helpful. Buffet breakfast was excellent. We were able to walk to the sights we wanted to visit. There were many restaurants, besides the hotel's, within walking distance.
very nice room, sauna was comforting. Nice view of the lake and surrounding area. Resturant food was above par.
Lakeside location, relaxed atmosphere. All staff spoke excellent English and were friendly and helpful.
Great location atthe water ,wonderful view of a suspension bridge leading to the university.
I didn´t like the service at the bar. I felt like I would annoy. They were not very friendly and not flexible. I didn´t feel welcome.
Restaurant was ok Lack of customer service attitude on almost all staff members.
It us in a beautiful setting the room was great and the food ok It was not clear how roto reach it from the station and entailed a longish walk with a heavy case
The services, they were great, very nice and polite people tehy don't have a wirless internet
Its location and all was good The room could be bigger a bit
Very good sauna, good breakfast The condistioner ian the room was very noisy.
Located right next to the city center with a very good inhouse pub and restaurant.
Everything was done to make us feel welcome and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to one of the suites - absolutely fabulous! Given a voucher for a complimentary drink in the bar. Also a rarity in Europe - tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast was superb - freshly cooked omelette was perfect. People booking should be aware there is no lift.
We had 3 charming rooms - all different themes. We appreciated the old world feeling of the hotel and pride of ownership really shows. Staff was great. Excellent free breakfast. Hotel restaurant is top-notch with local gourmet cuisine. Easy parking. There is no elevator and best rooms and only a/c are on top (3rd) floor. Window shades in one of the rooms was not blackout, which can be a problem during midsummer.
Amazing home-made breakfast, very cozy room, relaxing sauna facilities, friendly staff
Ourstanding hotel for couples as the atmosphere is chic, luxurious, (in a "B&B way) and the breakfast way, way above average, Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was beautifully decorated. It is the type of hotel my husband and I like to stay in whereever we go, and the best we stayed in while in Finland. Wish we could have stayed longer. The phrase "boutique" hotel fits perfectly. N/A
The atmosphere was very pleasant, sauna was very good (it is a good idea to order the separate time for the sauna for each person or group of people) and the breakfast was delicious. Our room was a little bit small.
Unique boutique hotel in Aalto's hometown/city. The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly, with great breakfast selections. The hotel restaurant, Pöllöwaari, has excellent innovative finnish cruisine. None
Beautiful hotel, nice ambience, breakfast, staff The room itself didn´t feel as luxurious as the lobby, but it was very cozy too.
Veyr nice hotel located in the city. The somelier was very helpful and spend a lot of time with us, informing about different choices. Great service.
This hotel was elegant and friendly. The decor was beautiful using antiques and decorative items everywhere throughout. Staff was superb! Breakfast was very good. Outstanding amongst the hotels we stayed during our trip to Finland. Highly recommended.
It is close to the railway station, to all shops, in the centre of the city, the food was very good, clean, silent and it was secon time we were saying at Scandic and planning to stay again. Thanks for the hotel staff.
Everything. Near the train--we walked. We were on an Aalto visit, so it was easy to get to all the places. A paper stating how to get to all the Aalto buildings would be great--a map of where they are, and directions (bus, train, etc.) to get there would have been an asset for us. There were several people from all over the world who were doing the same "pilgrimage."
It is a quite ordinary, good hotel, in my view.
furnuture set, warm garage available, nice staff, location at center of city, clearness sugar abcense at teaset
Friendly staff, effective & fast reception, clean rooms, good parking possibility, value for money
Good breakfast, clean room, soft bed linen. It was too hot in the room, the window did not open.
Sauna and inside pool Breakfast would need more variety like sweets and pastries
