Beautiful design room for 15 euro extra, excellent restaurant. Room was not made upon arrival, and it took them quite a while to fix this. An apology-drink would have been nice!
The kitchen was being redone and it was a mess downstair. It was not mentionned on the hotel description.
The garden and decorations outside of the hotel are beautiful. Breakfast buffet was nice. Located far from other resturants and shopping. Diner option at hotel was expensive.
The location, good services/facilities and the feeling to live in luxery. no
restaurants good - surroundings perfect
kind staff, fancy atmosfere
Location, restaurants, general setting. Room was a bit old fashioned and a bit damaged (e.g. doors), room for storing luggage was very dirty.
the beautiful palce hotel situated no
The entrance and the price.
quitness a concert in the evening in the garden so we could not sleep
Free wlan in room No business centre
The hotel felt safe, was clean and tidy. We were two friends sharing - and only one double bed, room a bit small, quite far out of zutphen
Great price - but it was a good deal. Good breakfast. Out of the way locations - but no problem with the Satnav and it was quiet
the restaurant food at night is the best you find anywhere in the world...the serving staff are very friendly and professional..the sports facilities are excellent...there is a lovely feeling of relaxation out and about the hotel...lovely grounds well kept the walls of the room were grubby and would need a coat of fresh paint...the room was very dark and small...there was no bulb in the light stand and the window was not giving much light due to the position of the room so it felt really gloomy inside..it was room112..the only problem with this hotel is the small cramped rooms with walls with dirty marks
The restuarant was very good, the bowling alley was nice The room as too small, no mini bar
The concept is good and the breakfast is more than sufficient The staff did not deal at all well with complaints.
Beds were comfortable and the non-smoking room actually did not smell of smoke which is often not the case in hotels. The hotel would be fun for a family with teenagers as it has its own bowling lanes. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent and breakfast included both 'continental' and full english. All in all v. pleased. A mini-bar in the room would be a nice extra.
Friendly personnel, nice pool and sauna, good breakfast The bathroom was a bit small but ok.
extensive range of sports activities
Staff were very pleasant, and the tennis, squash and bowling facilities were very impressive indeed. I wasn't fond of the stale odour on the way to my room, which also made its way into the room. I think it was caused by the close proximity to the swimming pool.
Located in the Center. Atmosphere is great. Good service. Breakfast was a bit ordinary (mabe because it is Dutch?)
The location of the hotel was excellent, the hotel and staff highly recommended
There was a wedding party with a disco which went on until about 1 in the morening. Had I known, I would not have booked the hotel - but, as a hotel, I must say it was very good and I would certainly stay there again.
the hotel is in the center of Zutphen and the town is very interesting good shopping and a very wide choice of goods the rooms too small cold the bath room not confotable the water of the shower went everywhere not sufficient ligth to do a modicum of work
Hotel is close to downtown, looks great and rooms are good. We stayed there after a wedding reception and dinner and service was excellent. Two-person bed was slightly smaller than we anticipated (I think 1.40m).
The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is perfectly situated in the historic centre of Zutphen.
Whenever we had a question, we got an answer or a solution in a couple of minutes We were not informed at the reception that we would get a room for handicapped people. But ist was no problem, because the room was alright.
Dinner in the Brasserie and breakfast. The parkingavailability and not getting a room at the hotel.
Friendly reception, nice room.Good situation for a city trip. Housekeeping below the standard of a hotel in this class.Everyday there was something missing, f.e.bathmat, coffeetray neither replenished nor washed up.Exorbitant price for breakfast.Beds made up in a very haphazard way the second and third nights.
excellent base for exploring historic area - quiwt and very tasteful food was good but not excellent - prices far too close to those of New York without the quality to justify them
Much better roadsigns are needed in the vicinity in order to find the hotel at night
Location and hotel beautiful. Staff very friendly and polite. Good restaurant Bathroom was quite modest. Shower in bathtub. Cleanliness of room. We found hairpin on the floor from someone else and the bathroom wasn't very clean
our breakfast in the serre. There was no swimmingpool or any indoor sportactivities
Great location, quiet, large and luxurious rooms, great breakfast buffet, good price quality ratio.
The bed was one of the best we have experienced in any hotel, anywhere, regardless of price. The bedroom curtains closed properly ensuring a dark room at night even in the summer, and there was virtually no room-to-room noise. The staff in the lounge were excellent. Good car parking facilities. No.
dinner, breakfast & scenery
You know how they say the Dutch aren't known for their customer service? This place proves them all wrong. The staff were warm, hospitable, full of initative, and the service is simply impeccable. No
The setting ( tiny, elegant village of Bronkhorst) was idyllic! The hotel and room decor were extremely charming. Ultra-modern bathroom. The village was like a movie set for a Jane Austen novel. The Dickens museum across the street was fascinating. Every Christmas the village does a re-enactment of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. No.
The hotel is right in the middle of the charming, storybook-like town of Bronkhorst. It is a tiny town, but there are lots of things to see, and many artisans' shops. The rooms at the hotel are decorated in a cozy, old-fashioned way. But they are clean and comfortable. The bed (old-fashioned style) was excellent.
Tastfully decorated, pleasant atmosphere, staff very service oriented, beautiful surroundings nothing
Friendly but ineffecient staff. Beautiful location and surrounding countryside. Good food, well presented. Little if anything has been changed (I.E. decorated )since my last stay 5 yrs ago. Ineffecient systems of recording items charged to your room. Lack of response to problems with room facilities.
The ambience and location we're great! Loved the suite
The room was comfortable. The breakfast was good. The village was extremely beautiful.
Pleasant staff. Very clean, attractive accommodation. Good restaurant and bar. Very convenient in the centre of the village. It was difficult to have a shower in the bath under the slope of the roof.
It was quite lovely and individual a breath of fresh air after the many chain hotels nothing would love to visit again and try all the other rooms they are all furnished and decorated individually its 500years old
Excellent dinner, nice & romantic atmosphere
At the annex, called Linden, the rooms are a bit quaint but cozy, and the facilities are small but good. The tiny "town" of Bronkhorst has a lot of charm, as does the ferry to Brummel. There is also a direct road to Zutphen. There is an ok restaurant, but the one next door is really good (closed on Wednesdays).
It is a cozy and charming hotel typical of old Dutch hospitality
The hotel has a new building that accommodates none smoking room. Each room has a large room, working desk, double twin bed, big bathroom with shower and bath, separate toilettes. The room a got was very clean and quite, and has free WiFi. breakfast was good.
we were staying here as we had a party nextdoor, we only spent one night in the room and next day we had our breakfast.
very nice comfortable hotel in one of the most beautifull parts of Holland
Great restaurant, very nice and helpfull employees Poor internet connection, somwhat worn down bathroom
We enjoyed the location, the relaxing atmosphere, the friendliness of the staff, the beautiful gardens, the quiet atmosphere and the convenience of local facilities. No bath in the en-suite. No tea/coffee making facilities, although the hotel cafe/ restaurant facilities were always available.
A family run restaurant/hotel. A 1st class restaurant that attracts people from both near and afar; and has done so for decades. Excellent friendly owners and staff. I stayed here 19yrs ago for 2 months and had many good memories, returned with wife for birthday and not disapointed
Lovely room , good food and friendly staff the view was mainly of the parking lot
We stayed in new portion of hotel, friendly helpful staff, clean, great breakfast (included). We will stay again!
The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. It has wireless Internet and a refrigerator. The breakfast is good. All in all the room is good value for the money. There is no phone in the room.
really nice area and clean room with very quiet..
Chatting with the local people who were very friendly. The room was pretty small and quite a walk with luggage.
Senseo, tea kettle and dvd with flat screen tv, plus very nice surroundings...
Friendly staff, quietness, nice shower and good price value
The accomadation was great very comfortable, the staff very friendly,
The wood cabins were very cozy and everything was set for self service (coffee machine, small fridge, water heater, coffee & tea bags). Very close to the Hoge Velowe, great for seeing a forest upclose and getting back in touch with nature. It would be nice if they had a bike-taxi or regular taxi pickup from the station, otherwise it's a 15 min walk.
Friendly staff, room was a quiet newer cabin. Good value, comfortable bed. Wireless internet was a little spotty, but worked. I would stay here again.
Very clean, great breakfast, wonderful and helpful staff.
