Excellent hotel,food and staff
The hotel is an old building and quite quiet. Our room was comfortable and clean. Our dinner in the hotel's restaurant (the "hotel guest only fixed price meal) was truly atrocious. Tasteless, small portions, poorly cooked. Stay away from the hotel restaurant. There are several bistros just a short walk away.
service was very good it was not possible to have breakfast before 07.00 hours and we had to take the boat to Sardegna.
The comfortable beds, with the loft arrangement for our friend which gave him some privacy. The breakfast buffet was superb, and provided healthy and tasty food choices. I particulary appreciate the fact that it was included in the price of the room, as the restaurant food looked a little too pricey for us (Therefore we did not dine at the hotel). The desk was helpful, and we were able to pair up with another couple heading for the cruise ship by taxi to make the taxi ride more economical. No - It was a fine establishment and so handy to the cruise ship location. We did feel a bit rushed on the Internet stations, but realize that perhaps there is not enough demand for more computers.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Parking can be a problem at times
Excellent location: walk to train station & cruise terminal and accross the street from the beach.
Staff were friendly and their English was good. The location was perfect, close to cruise port and easy to walk around the town
The Hotel was affordable for a one day stay before picking up our cruise ship. Food was very good. Location very good.
very nice hotel near to the ferries for sardinia and a lovely view from the front rooms Difficult to find a good restaurant nearby - particularly on a Sunday
The hotel is beautiful with a very good continental breakfast and an excellent resteraunt. They provided excellent transportation from the airport and to the port for a fee.
the pool area location nothing around
The view from the room was excellent. Had a very smokey smell like people had been smoking right through the hotel and in the rooms.
Seaside location old facilities, hotel not accessible to much within the city (including the train station), meager continental breakfast
The Water outside the windows The food, the room, the hotel in over all
Wonderful restaurant/dining experience!! Front desk helped arrange transfer to port. Nice comfortable beds. Lovely cross ventilation in our room. I think that users would like to know about whether the bath is an enclosed shower or not. We loved our room, our view but are not accustomed to a tub/hand held shower head with no shower curtain.
The cocktail !!!
The property is amazing with a perfect view of the Mediterranean sea. People we complaining about the bathrooms, and uncomfortable beds...both were fine. They started a construction project at 9:00am in the room next to us which woke me up. I was really pissed.
We were the only Americans staying there, and when we went down to the restaurant for breakfast on Sunday, they wouldn't give us a table, even though most of the restaurant was empty. The waiters were rude and surly at best. Would suggest you find a different place. We overnighted there because we were booked on a cruise from Civitivecchia the next day. Rooms are mediocre. Beds are terrible. The restaurant staff was the rudest group I met in Italy.
The pool and the service I like all
Convenient overnight stay prior to boarding cruise ship It was very difficult to get transport to the cruise terminal. This was not really the hotel's fault. The local taxis did not seem interested and we waited over an hour for one. Suggest the hotel sets up its own shuttle bus service as most of the guests were either pre or post cruise.
Beautiful location for a sunbed and swim holiday. Limited selection of restaurants around within walking distance. Car is essential. n/a
every staff is friendly and helpful for all direction. there is a bar next to the hotel, and people got loud late at night.
Helpful staff, nice rooms with lovely ocean veiws.Close to resturants and walking distance to shops. no
For someone departing on a cruise from Civitavecchia the location is near perfect. It is only 100 meters from the train station and another 200 to the shuttle buses that go to the ship. That saves 20 to 40 Euro in taxi fares. I stayed there in late October (end of the cruise season) and the hotel showed some expected wear and tear from the summer but nothing I wouldn´t expect to be spruced up by spring. The saff were all very congenial and helpful. There were plenty of moderate priced restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. I would stay there again.
The location is superb to food, bars, railway station, ferries and view. No
hotel was fine, almost next to the train station, room was very clean, and the free breakfast was good.
Had great old world charm The bathroom - specifically the bathtub - it had a shower but no shower curtain or rod. We had to either take a bath or wash our hair at the side of the bathtub. Not good!
Had a nice time, with a helpful staff and beautiful view of the water.
Excellent position on the promenade yet close to the railway station and centre of town. Perfect for pre-cruise stays.Quiet location out of season. Room was large and beds comfortable. Erratic evening opening times of restaurant were inconvenient,
Friendly and helpful Lack of lift. Hotel bus refused entry to port of Rome
The room was comfortable and conveniently place for the railway station and a manageable walk to the port gates for the free shuttle bus to the dock. Reception staff were very helpful and looked fater our luggage after checkout. We ate at the hotel's pizza restaurant and it was good and affordable. There were also other bars and shops close by. Our room was on the side of the hotel and did not have a decent view.
I travel quite a bit, but not usually overseas, I have been in Europe several times but by far the hospitality and warmness of the people at the Hotel Miramare was exceptional. They assited us with free transerfers, to the port, gavew us an welcoming glass of wine and did not charge for parkling. Also they were helpful in discovering Tuscany.Greart Place! Also the view of the Mediterain was awes nothing
Rooms were large clean and airy with Air conditioning and a sea view. Plenty to see and do nearby on seafront with good selection of restaurants
The location was good for our purpose The restaurant was closed breakfast ok
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a seaview room with a little balcony, and the hotel is right on the seafront, near Civitavecchia's belvedere. There are several great cafes and restaurants, and a gelateria, all within a few hundred metres of the hotel.
This was an excellent hotel to stay in the night prior to taking a cruise. Close to the railway station and a short walk to the port. Taxis were available for the less mobile.
Excellent position at the center of Civitavecchia and ocean front. If you get the rooms "vista mare"(front of the hotel) the view is really breathtaking. A little bit "demodé" but clean and sufficient.
location close to pier only stayed for one night
Nothing Even though it is listed as having airconditioning, it was was very hot in the room. When we complained we were told that the heating was turned on because of the time of the year. Apparently they only have one system there, so either the airconditioning is on or the heater, but they can't work at the same time. Very peculiar! They told us to open up the doors to the outside. Not a very safe idea, especially in Italy. We feel that is a big drawback, as it is not exactly pleasant to sleep in a hot room when it is almost 20 degrees C. outside.
Every aspect of this accomodation was excellent - comfort, cleanliness, and location on the waterfront. Easy to get to from the Ferry dock, and to the train station.
Easy to find and access to Rome via fast train very convenient. Older style hotel but functional, Economical restaurants within easy walking distance.
THe hotel was close to the Cruise Terminal and the free shuttle to the dock was good. It is a very basic hotel. The breakfast was not good, with very little choice. It was not very good value for money.
Very pleasant staff. Toilet seat was falling off toilet and no hot water for shower on morning of 9/23
We used this hotel for a one night stay before a cruise. It was wonderful from start to finish. The driver was waiting to pick us up, though our plane got in late. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and more than adequate. Breakfast was good in the morning and the shuttle to the port was very efficient. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
This is a great option for a pre-cruise or post-sruise hotel for those who do not wish to stay in Rome
Excellant breakfast and a good hot cup of tea. Difficult to park - but its Italy
Frendliness of the staff. With one elevator it really is tough to get your six bags to the loby when the one elevator is out of order!!!!
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I lost two luggage bags when we flew into Rome and the hotel staff assisted us to locate them.
Great staff. very helpful.
the staff was very accomadating and helpful. It was very easy to contact the shuttle. The shuttle was only 10 euros for transport from the airport. The food was excellent. I want to go back. It was easy to arrange transport to and from the hotel. The free breakfast was varied and excellent. I'm going to recomend it to all my friends. The room was nice and everything was very clean. The roosters crowing so early in the am.
It felt safe. It was clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful!
We liked the fact that they would pick us up at the Rome Airport and the charge was more reasonable than a taxi. We liked the price. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
Nice and clean and staff helpful I think it's a little over price
the cleanliness of the hotel and the friendly people.
Friendly, efficent and good value for money Nothing
Very curteous reception, offered us a seat and drink while our room was being prepared as we were early to check in. Free transfers to and from the Port was very handy and the free internet was an excellent amenity as we just came off a cruise and overnighting to join another cruise. Non-Smoking hotel but some guest smoked. The smoke filtered into our room. The manager looked into the matter immediately and insisted on giving us a discount for the inconvienience.
Nice small hotel fredly staf Center 3 km away from Hotel
The staff was friendly, breakfast was excellent, clean facility... Good job Restaurant was not open.
Staff very friendly and helpful Not really
Clean hotel and grounds. Shuttle to cruise dock included in the cost. No taxi to take you to its remote location was very inconvenient.Room was very small.
Staff were extremely helpful and efficient No dinner available on arrival, but this was in October.
Staff very accommodating.
Staff most friendly and helpful. Location great for harbor and walks into the city. Room comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good standard continental.
Close to city center and harbour, perfect location for catching the ferries. Nice and clean rooms. The breakfast was not good at all. And the fact that they only had water to offer in the minibar in the room.
The young man on reception was very helpful. the view from our 4th floor room was fantastic, with views over the city and the night lights of the anchored cruise ships were beautiful. Parking although across the street was above average as it was security 24/7.
Location was central and staff were friendly. No
Close to port; close to restaurants, service was excellent. Please advise shuttle driver that Continental has moved from the international terminal to Section 5.
Left letter saying how pleased we were. Nothing.
It cost us from the Termini Station 36 Euro to the hotel. By Subway and Bus it would have cost 2 Euros but 25 minutes minimum time way, fair distance (not close to the train station). Free shuttle to the Metro is good to get back downtown. Distance from the train station, out of town this hotel.
proximity to the Pier
Villa Hotel Valle Del Marta Resort was pleasant and quiet. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was very good. Tarquinia is a charming medieval town and the hotel is very close to the center of Tarquinia. There were spectacular views of the land on one side and the sea on the other side from the top of the town.
staff was very friendly. we stayed during winter and it had a very nice family atmosphere.
The Staff were very helpful and friendly. Rural setting makes for a relaxing and pleasant holiday
Eat, Walking, relax and city trip Restaurang was not open when we var there.
Wonderful staff, comfortable facilities, good wine/food availability, beautiful surrounding country side Direction through the gates onto the property could be easier to find/follow
The hospitality offered in a beautiful rural setting. It provided a relaxing venue after a hectic tour. Set in a large working farm, this resort/spa has a lovely patio next to the swimming pool where you can relax an sip a glass of wine. They also offer cooking classes, mountain bikes and tours of the nearby Etruscan sites. The owners are hands on in the running of the hotel and are ready to accommdate any wish. I was not aware from the website that the resaurant was only opened during the season. The staff was able to a ccomdate us by driving us to Tarquinia for dinner and providing us with a huge amtipasto try.
Very friendly and helpful personnel. Clean and nice room. Only 1 hour drive from FCO airport. The menu in restaurant was limited and "ancient" style. I won't recommend lasagne to anyone. Check-in an chek-out could be more organized.
The staff was excellent in every way. Nothing
The intamacy and the personal care by the owner and staff No
Fantastic food, peaceful location, clean, luxurious feel to the whole place. Very few other guests meaning you had the place to yourself practically!
location no airconditioning
The staff was awesome! They were very accommodating with complimentary transfer arrangements to the port of Civitavecchia and or the train station (to Rome). The rooms were spacious with a beautiful view of the ranch. It was simply the best place to relax for 2 or more days after a hectic week of touring Rome and just before getting on our cruise. They have an awesome restaurant. Their black truffle linguine was so yummy, I had it two days in a row, but they specialize in beef (they are a cattle ranch!). Nothing! It was our highlight in our trip through Italy!
Rooms were very comfortable, clean and a good size
Second visit to this hotel, as good as last time 2 years ago. All comfort available. Restaurant of good quality. Very relaxing visit. no negative points
Everything. A fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended!!
The hotel was a great place to stay; quiet and luxurious with a fabulous restaurant. Staff were fabulous and offered a wonderful custom shuttle service which was greatly appreciated. The venue was a farm and therefore there were flies (insects). Insect control could be improved inside.
Relax,relax.relax.After 3 hecktic days in rome this was a great way to prepare for the cruise we were taking just what we wanted ,gave your web site to lots of fellow passengers. No
Tranquil, relaxing, friendly.Lovely restaurant.Modern large room with granite & marble bathroom. Great swimming pool.Ideal for over 50's after a cruise. No
The hotel scenery was beautiful and we enjoyed seeing the animals and vegetable garden. The owners were very welcoming and nice and gave my husband a free bottle of champagne for his birthday. The whole place is very clean. The room was well equipped and everything was new. The bed was comfortable. The whole atmosphere is one of relaxation in the Italian countryside -- truly wonderful. We would return. The restaurant manager was not terribly friendly to us. Our experience with him did not reflect the high quality of the hotel, its owners, or the rest of our stay.
Everything. - customer sevice, view, horse back riding, pool. I loved it.
Location close to the port/cruise ship was good. Central location was close to the restaurants
Very friendly and helpful staff a big plus no air conditioning, although evenings cooled very quickly and comfortably
Anna (reception) was friendly and very helpful -- well beyond any expectation. Taxi from Rome had a difficult time finding it.
very close to town and port and was withing walking distance from the railway station. could not get a taxi but drove me to the station. the fact there was no meals at hotel. that was ok until i found mcdonalds do not do breakfast and subway do not open till 10am
The staff at the Hotel were very friendly and helpful. It was clean and in an "interesting" location. We would recommend it and stay there again. It was farther than the advertised 100 or 200 meters from the cruise port. My friend got sick and we had to take a $25 taxi. Breakfast would be nice.
The hotel was in a very pretty street within easy reach of the port where I was sailing from the following day. The room (single) was small and it would have been nice to at least boiled a kettle as there were no refreshment facilities in the hotel. However bed and shower room were adequate considering the price I paid and the young lady in charge could not have been more helpfull and made the stay a pleasant one for somebody travelling alone.
The manager is very attentive and friendly, always up to help the guests
The hotel staff were very helpful - especially when it comes to getting our luggage up a large flight of stairs Difficult to find
Central to downtown. Close to our cruise ship. Clean and staff were very helpful.
The room was bright and cheery. Staff was extremely helpful. It is close to the port and not far from the train station. It was quite difficult to find the hotel and, luckily there were people out walking their dogs after 10:00 PM who could call the hotel and help us with directions. We stayed in late October and it was quite chilly and damp (being so close to the sea). In typical Italian fashion, they told us they do not turn the heat on until Nov 1. Since this is not an inexpensive hotel, they should be able to provide heat when it is chilly out.
