Pros: The hotel was very clean. The staff worked hard with a smile on their faces. I overheard a conversation where a guest wanted to know about a plant outside the hotel. The staff member called the gardener and reported back to the guest.
Cons: AT&T has no cell phone coverage in this area. Have to use Wifi calling.
Pros: Very accommodating staff, clean, on-site restaurant. Just an outstanding hotel.
Pros: Large comfortable room. Plenty of work space. More that I expected from a Best Western. Very nice.
Pros: Clean room.Helpful housekeeping staff.
Cons: The presentation of the reception person on arrival was one of general irritability. Poor breakfast.
Pros: Location to the interstate. Sauna and whirlpool.
Cons: I arrived early but could not be checked in due to no front desk staff. I was told to come back later. The cafe and lounge was closed for the holiday even though the hotel was 'booked' pretty full. When I came back, they had to check if they had a room.
Pros: The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the elevator was close!! A tasty and varied offering for breakfast with great coffee!
Cons: The elevator was one of the slowest responding I'd ever experienced.
Pros: In a great location! Pizza was good! Kids liked the swim area. Manager was very friendly.
Cons: There was dog hair all over in the carpet. Could've did alittle more cleaning in room and added a few more towels.
Pros: Hotel staff very nice
Cons: Restraunt /bar was closed earlier than advertized. No gravy for biscuits and out of sausages.
Pros: clean, friendly, concerned for guests............location was excellent
Cons: eggs were underdone but the remainder of breakfast was excellent
Pros: The management staff were helpful and beds very comfortable
Cons: no close restaurants in walking distance.
I would like to commend the single bar employee on the night of 8/9. Many hotel guests descended on the bar after returning from a local music concert and she remained polite and attentive despite being swamped with hungry and thirsty customers. The breakfast bar was also very nice - with hot eggs and sausages in addition to the regular complementary breakfast fare.
Pros: We were pleased that the hotel had a bar/restaurant. We stayed at this hotel to attend a music concert in the area and it was nice to be able to relax with a drink and tasty pizza upon our return.
Cons: Our room was designated as non-smoking yet there was a minor 'stale smoke' odor, which we reported to the desk.
Pros: It was a beatiful hotel,, however we were there for the Boston concert and was supposed to beable to check in at 3:00 was not able to till 4:30 which made it difficult to change and get on the bus leaving at 5:00 to go to the concert only real complaint

Cons: Dirty room, broken equipment around pool and in rooms, exposed tack strip in door ways, (my Niece cut her foot pretty bad on it) Very loud pipes in rooms, exposed rusty rebar in pool area, roof leaking here and there......the list goes on! Not child safe.
Pros: Attentionof staff was excellent
Cons: The shower head needs replaced, and they need to provide a bar of soap for the shower/sink.
Pros: Family oriented
Cons: The water took forever to warm up.
Pros: The staff is so friendly and accommodating. It was a great experience from start to finish.
Pros: We loved the pool. Staff was very helpful and breakfast was well stocked.
Cons: If you want a hot drink at any time in lobby after breakfast, you won't get one.
Pros: They do a nice job catering to deer hunters with families. Only place I know that puts out a free hot breakfast at 4:00am AND has a nice pool/hot tub for family swim.
Pros: Breakfast, bar
Cons: Room advertised as having a sofa bed couch and bath tub which my room (handicap accessible room) did not have. They could not find my reservation for a good 20 mins, would not upgrade me even when I offered to pay.
Pros: The pool area was very nice, with an over-sized whirlpool and three other pools beside. Very relaxing.
Cons: The intersection out front is very confusing. Asking for accidents. Saturday night there was a wedding reception and the bar was full of kids ordering kiddie cocktails non-stop. No parents to be seen. It was a day-care center instead of a bar.
Pros: The location was fine. Very clean. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: The room was a bit small but very well laid-out.
Pros: The decor was beautiful. The beds were wonderfully comfortable. The rooms were decent sized, not cramped. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Not a single complaint about the hotel.

Cons: The mattress was old. I kept rolling into my husband
Pros: Large, clean room, friendly staff, and a great price.
Cons: They should fire their internet provider. Your a hotel in Sparta, not NORAD.
Pros: Very accommodating and excellent customer service!! We were able to check in early and save time not having to drive back and forth from Cashton WI for a wedding.
Cons: Beds were a bit hard for my taste, but overall not horrible. I am picky with my pillows as most hotels have flat pillows with no support. Pillows here were very comfy and had extra’s in the closet.
Pros: There was not one particular thing that we could point out, however, we had a very pleasant stay. We would stay there again if in the area.
Pros: Clean, nice room, has a small pool and hot tub and staff very friendly and efficient. No complaints. Not super fancy but surprisingly nice for being a economy hotel.
Cons: Be aware that the breakfast is fairly basic. Also, I do not think there is an elevator
Pros: The staff was outstanding as well as the cleanliness of the whole facility. First time in a long time I have been totally satisfied with the all around experience.
Cons: I didn't like being put on the second floor as I am handicapped and it was very trying to get into the room. Other than that the hotel met my expectations.
Pros: Our room was smoke free.
Cons: Our room had some stains in the carpet. The air conditioner leaked water onto the floor. The shower curtain was breaking off. The complimentary breakfast was very limited...we were told there were hard-boiled eggs but there were none from 8am on.
Pros: Fast and friendly check-in
Cons: Check in service when I first got there was awful second shift was alot better.
Overall, it was a nice hotel. The room we had was a handicap room, so it was spacious. The only complaint would be the noise level when trying to sleep.
Pros: It was close to bike trails (little less than a mile away) so you could ride your bike right to the trail. It was also convenient to purchase bike passes right at the hotel lobby. Plus there is a gas station and family restaurant right across the St.
Cons: Our room was the very last room on the ground level. The room itself was nice, but it was noisy at night. You could hear the doors slamming shut and people running around on the second level.

Cons: W booked a rate that was supposed to have free breakfast, but they apparently don't do that any more. They gave us some $3 of vouchers for the Perkins when I showed them that we were supposed to get a full breakfast. The vouchers didn't completely cover the cost.
Pros: Clean, modern rooms and very polite staff. There is a huge green field behind the hotel for dogs to run around in. Very friendly for traveling with pets. We were traveling across country and Wisconsin was the friendliest place that we passed through.
Cons: ....... we were very pleased with this hotel.
Pros: Great staff that were very accommodating..Great location and breakfast.
Cons: First room was Musty/Moldy smelling and they kindly moved us to a great room. Thank you!
Pros: It was just as expected. The room was clean. The hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast was good.
Pros: We only stayed one night but loved the early pool hours and staff was very nice.
Cons: I tried to cancel my reservation because less than 24 hrs after making the reservation my grandfather passed away unfortunently they would refund so I had to do a lot of extra driving, very emotional weekend but in the end we were glad we came.
Pros: The even front staff person was very accomodating. Breakfast was good too.
Cons: The room had an unpleasant smell.
Pros: Breakfast was good!
Cons: The room really smelled like cigarette smoke, and it's suppose to be a smoke free hotel.
Pros: Location served our needs perfectly. Indoor pool and hot tub were a bonus!
Pros: It was in a nice quiet location.
Pros: The price of the hotel is what I liked the best. I've stayed in this area at a 3 star hotel and was hesitant to try this 2 and 1/2 star hotel because I thought the price was too good to be true. Also, the free breakfast was great.
Cons: I can't think of anything negative about this hotel.
Cons: Two things.... 1. who was the lady who checked us in, was extremely rude and disrespectful. 2. There were several used band-aids in the pool.
Pros: Great breakfast in the morning, room was spacious and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Great location right off the highway. Hotel also allowed pets. Front desk clerk  who checked us in was very helpful and friendly
Cons: Bathroom was very small. Door didn't open all the way because it hit bowed shower curtain bar and toilet. Morning front desk clerk was very rude.
Pros: Great staff.. nice breakfast.. clean comfy rooms.
Pros: There was a small breakfast and coffee prepared each morning.
Cons: Overall cleanliness was subpar. It was obvious that the common areas were very quickly cleaned, and no one was checking to see that things were done properly. The room had debris on the floor which could have been cleaned with a thorough vaccuming. Internet speed was very mediocre to slow at times. The curtains for the windows were not sufficient ot obscure all light for sleeping. It appeared that either management didn't care about the conditions, or is not routinely walking through the hotel and checking on conditions. I guess for $48 per night, this is what you get.
Pros: Too much furniture crammed into the "king" room felt like visiting a friend in the campus dorm.
Cons: No CC reader, expect to fill out a form asking for your driver's license #, full mailing address, and then some...awkward start after booking online. Not long after entering the room, the smell of classic lysol was strong enough we could lick it off our teeth. We opened the windows and left to buy pillows we could sleep on and get some travelers toiletries. Their soaps had been left in the package long enough to start stripping the print off. As for the shower, well, I've had warmer and better smelling water to shower with when camping. Bed was SUPER lopsided, and I dunno what was going on with those sheets, but my legs were constantly itching. Ended up attempting sleep with just the top cover after putting on antihistamine cream. Sleep never came for either of us. Not recommended unless an emergency stop is necessary. This place is in need of serious renovation and love.
When visiting Sparta, Scottish Inns Sparta is a great choice to consider. Free perks include WiFi and self parking. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves.
Pros: The location was great for what we were in town for. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: It would have been nice to know the hotel was going through renovations prior to booking. The air conditioning unit in our room made god awful noises-no sleep on night one; however, the nice gentleman at the front desk took care of it right away.
Pros: Good comfortable bed
Cons: Door was not easy to open. Key card issues. Remodeling odors.
Pros: Very clean and the ac is ice cold and keeps the whole room comfortable.
Cons: Very tiny bathroom. Barely any room to dry off without knocking into the toilet.
Pros: Friendly girl at desk at check-in.
Cons: Room was pretty small for the price I paid. Stayed at other hotels for less with a bigger room, and just as nice.
Warm country decor featuring lobby fireplace and complimentary hot Be Our Guest breakfast. The hotel has an indoor pool, whirlpool, cocktail lounge and free wireless internet access throughout the entire building. 2015 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner
Pros: Stayed there for 5 weeks, working in the area. The staff is great. In office there's a quick breakfast & coffee if you like. The place is older but kept up well. I stayed in a single room with queen bed. Bed was comfy. Soft and hard pillows for your liking. Internet connection was very good. Off street parking right in front of your door. Out door pool when weather was warm was clean. Can't ask for anything more. Close to a great pizza place. Fast food and stores are a mile from inn. Mini fridge and freezer in room. Ben the owner and Sam are great. Normal people. No complaints. Plenty of hot water for showers too.
