Narita Sando Guesthouse - Hostel - Narita - Building
1
9.1 Excellent (792 reviews)

9.5 Excellent
Pros: very friendly and helpfull staff ( we arrived very late and did the check in via whatsap!) lovely decoration confortable affordable price good localisation (we were slept here to get to the airport on the next morning and still managed to visit the main temple on our way out) Narita is worth spending at least on day visiting and not just stop by to the airport
Cons: nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The shared bunk bed room seems small but it’s actually just narrow the beds are wide enough. Very nice showed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was a bit warm. Hot water did not work past 11pm but i could be wrong. The host was very accomodating. Place was well kept. Good value for your money ♡
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very good facilities
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The things that I liked about the place was that it was very affordable and in a great location to explore Narita. If you have the JR pass then you can even take the Narita Express train to cities like Tokyo and Shinjuku relatively quick. This is a great value for the money you’re spending. The showers were clean and the toilets were perfect. Yes, it is a guest house so you have to share. But this in and of itself is a great experience. The staff if very flexible and is fluent in English. The staff is also very friendly and will help you in any way they can. They have space to leave your luggage while you go explore, which in Japan is a great plus!
Cons: The only thing I did not like were the pillows and the bed firmness. If you can sleep on a really firm mattress then you have nothing to worry about. I am more of a soft mattress guy so it was a little hard to stay asleep. The pillows are water pillows so if you sleep on your side with your ear against the pillow, then you’ll likely hear the water moving around. It’s quiet soothing sometimes, but sometimes it might keep you up or force you to switch positions.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location, clean facilities, only 15 minutes by train to the airport.
Cons: Rooms are a little small.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything so clean and organized. Wonderful space!!

Pros: Everything. Perfect place to stay the night before your early morning flight next day. Clean and modern with secure space to store baggage. The host was kind enough to explain the house rules snd the route to Natita Airport.Very kind and helpful.Within walking distance from both, JR and Keisei station. Good restaurants and McDonald's ( just in case) right outside. Also has a free tea and coffee in kitchen.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well
Cons: Nothing
7.0 Good
Pros: It was close to the Narita town station (both JR and Keisei lines) but a bit hard to find since it involves walking through some winding, unfamiliar streets. The location was clean. Check in was easy. Staff were around to help. It felt secure. It was quieter than I expected.
Cons: I wished there was a Japanese style bath for soaking. The key cards were a bit temperamental. You have to tap it at just the right spot to get it to work. A few times I thought I was locked out.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Good location and very clean rooms. Friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Excellent dining room. Very handy to the station and shopping mall. Our room was the best we stayed in in Japan!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything of this hotel is excellent ;
Cons: Nothing to say ;
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Second time at Mitsui. Excellent position for business at University. Very good value for money. Room is spacious, especially when compared to the typical size of Japan hotels. I will surely come back again here. I did not have breakfast at hotel, so I cannot comment on that.
Cons: Actually in the room there is no storage space for clothes. There is a small place to hang out things, but nothing to store stuff that need s shelf, like shirts and sweaters. I stayed six nights and having some place where I can leave my stuff instead of leaving everything in the luggage would had made the stay more comfortable.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Everything was great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything worked. Quiet.
Cons: Breakfast was just ok (but cheap).

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Big room, and comfortable. A free shuttle to airport. In each room there is a free smartphone with mobile data and local phone number that we can use in the city, which is very cool when traveling. A little walk from train station. The AEON shopping mall in the area is good for shopping. Staff spoke English properly.
Cons: Breakfast is quite simple, with not much choice. I have been to a few hotels in Japan and the breakfast was sometimes much better. Free shuttle is nice, but only a few departure every day. Besides that all is ok.
7.5 Good
Pros: Food
Cons: No water served

Pros: Good location. Very close to the train station and convenience stores.
Cons: Rooms are too small and the breakfast buffet is the same thing every morning.

Pros: Courtesy cleanliness
Cons: City center. Close to Jr Marita station 5mins walk from hotel
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great. It was much better than expected and better than big airport hotel we later stayed at. Very close to train station. The weather was turning warm and the comforter is much too warm. They need a lighter blanket. I was able to visit Tokyo Richmond which had shops and located in a great area.
Cons: Nice restaurant and very close to parks and train stations.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was good, not much choice, but they had the basics including some very good scrambled eggs. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly (they spoke somewhat limited, but functional, English).
Cons: The shuttle bus was very small and got completely full on the way to the airport, not ideal for a family with small children. Why not get a bigger bus?
5.5 Okay
Cons: Check in I booked for 3 rooms and gave all the names but they only have one name booking and furthermore they don't have my name. Took them a very long time to sort it out and gave us the 3 rooms.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: I only spent one night on my way elsewhere, and the location couldn’t be beat. It was about a 4 minute walk from Narita Station, which is only one stop from terminals 2 & 3. Great location for a weary traveler who couldn’t be bothered going all the way into Tokyo. The hotel was clean and modern.
7.5 Good
Pros: Hotel is located less then 10 minutes walk from Narita JR Station. Breakfast was Ok and the room too. I stayed there only one night so it's hard to describe completely the Hotel. After all I got a pleasant stay at Richmond Hotel Narita.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I loved the calm of this traditional Japanese inn, the graciousness of the staff and the welcoming layout of the room. It was a true refuge in the middle of a long trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Traditional Onsen hotel. In all the best possible ways.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: It was our first stay at a Ryokan and we enjoyed it very mucht. The staff was very helpful showing us around and answering our questions. We booked dinner and breakfast and both was excellent with a lot of variety. Our children loved the kid sized yukatas that were provided for them. Moreover, it felt really nice walking up from the station along the road leading to the temple and staying just on the outside of the temple complex. Even though Narita get's a lot of tourists, we've been the only westerners in the hotel and it felt like an authentic japanese experience. Small but very nice onsen facilities without outside area.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: very clean bath nice meals
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was incredible, the staff where lovely and very accommodating, my room was beautiful and the food was so tasty and very well prepared.
Cons: There was nothing I didn't like, I love this hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a great time at Wakamatsu Honten. Our view from the room was right opposite the temple, which was awesome. Loved the hotel and the temple. Both are very nice.
Cons: Food at the unagi restaurants around was a bit pricey.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place. Directly across from Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, which was incredible (and massive too - gardens, shrines, monuments - we were there for over 3 hours and felt like we should have allowed more time). Staff were excellent, and the food was excellent. We'll be staying here again. It is well worth the price.
6.3 Good
Pros: Love the staff. The room was very nice and we had a great view of the shrine but beware of the bell ringing in the morning. I liked the sound but I'm sure many travelers would not. They were also very helpful with the kaiseki dinners we had. On our trip to Japan, we found out that my son is allergic to sashimi last minute and changed his kaiseki meals to include items without any raw fish. There were plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops along the street.
Cons: Would have liked a microwave oven to heat up our coffee and tea when it got cold. Also maybe an electric kettle to heat up water instead of the thermal pots. The onsen was nice but the water was lukewarm. This next thing is not the ryokan's fault but would like to have seen better transportation options to go into town and to the airport. We had to take the taxi to Daiso, Don Quijote, and return by taxi. If you are looking for a 7-11 conbini (convenience store), it's quite a long walk to the nearest one.
8.6 Excellent
Pros: Traditional style and public bath. Fabulous temple across the street.
Cons: Hard for me to sleep on thin mattress on floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed here on our last day of our Japan trip and it was a wonderful way to end our visit. The staff were great and front desk employees spoke English. The meal was amazing! Our waitress was a complete sweetheart and loved our son. They made us feel very welcome. The spa was beautiful and relaxing.
Cons: We were on the same floor as the smoking room and it was a bit smelly in the hallway. Our room was a bit dated but clean. There are other rooms that have been updated but we didn't mind ours...it was actually very 50s with a mod vibe which we thought was cool.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tea in the room, the onsen, and the comfy bed-mattress. Oh, and the ykata :).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect! Very clean rooms, delicious breakfasts, and unimaginably polite staff. Would like to visit this nice place again and recommend to anybody.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: - Staff spoke very good English and was very friendly. - I put the do not disturb sign (stayed for 2 nights) and they left new towels and toiletries outside my door even though I didn't request them. - The public bath on the 2nd floor was small, but not crowded at night. - Very clean.
Cons: - No channels in English. - 10 minute walk from the station/food.
7.5 Good
Pros: Good location near the Tsukuba Express line.
Cons: Unflexible front desk staff. Was at first denied an earlier check-in at noon. Then they said they could offer it for JPY 2’000.

Cons: Bathroom is a little small
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Cons: Nothing really!
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is perfect for business people but it wouldn't be suitable for a romantic/family stay as there is not a lot around it to visit and the bar/restaurant onsite was very quiet. Breakfast didn't have a lot of options but the staff were helpful and friendly. Spacious free carpark.
Cons: The breakfast choices were minimal.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great service.
Cons: They provided clean pajamas, towels, etc. even though I request "no cleaning."
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Another newish hotel near the station so very easy to get into Tokyo and Narita airport using JR Pass. We had a large and beautiful room, but a slightly small bathroom. All staff were very welcoming and the breakfast buffet was really good. The hotel had a luxurious free separate Onsen and a Sauna for men and ladies which we enjoyed. It is very close to 2 big supermarkets and several restaurants
Cons: Nothing, everything was good
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Location was very good, close to the station. The service was excellent even I request "No cleaning" they always provide clean pajama, towels, etc.
Cons: It was very comfortable to stay for a long time. However, I wish to have a window that can see outside.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: A good sized room for one person. Bed was a comfortable double. Good sized desk for jug and leaving things on. The location suited my purpose for being there - access to Kashiwa Reysol stadium. Fantastic access to the train station.
Cons: A lovely looking bar which couldn't be used over the 5 nights I was there (possibly a licensing issue, don't know).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of Japanese and Western Cuisine. A really lovely, clean and beautifully decorated hotel very close to train station and a delicious waffle cafe. Staff were helpful and beds and pillows were comfortable.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic hotel for the price and location. Clean, new and convenient to the train. Across the street from 2 food stores, convenience stores and walkable to multiple small restaurants. Great breakfast included.
7.0 Good
Pros: friendly staff. easy walk from the station.
Cons: Well, the memory foam mattress was terrible...a nice firm mattress would be so much more comfortable. And I was more than a little surprised by the two foot step up into the very very small bathroom. Honestly, if someone were really tired or inebriated, they could fall right off the toilet and out of the bathroom, back into the room. And because the bathroom is so tiny (the sink extends halfway across the bathtub), the room has huge mirrors, along with the most glaring white paint I've ever seen in my life. You could go blind, assuming you didn't die, falling out of the bathroom. Honestly, I'd look elsewhere next time I need a room.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Shuttle service; had everything we needed for an overnight near the airport; friendly and efficient

Pros: Very good location by Narita airport and a very convenient airport shuttle. For a family, had quadruple rooms at a very good price

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice hotel. Close to station. Clean and comfortable. Quit.
Cons: I came with my japanese husband and they just ignored me. They spoke only in Japanese and only to my husband... But I made reservation and I started to speak first to them.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location is very good, for who does not show up with a car. There are plenty of restaurants and nightlife nearby. The rooms are spacious enough for a single or even a couple. Front desk speaks very good English and are able to respond to our inquires.
Cons: The access to the stairway is available only on emergencies and in my case, we faced a "heavy traffic" during the morning because a group was leaving the hotel, at the same time, 30 people (with a lot of luggage) were using the elevator making impossible to board it in the lowers floors. There is a coffee machine next to the elevator which you can use for free at night but during the morning, it was blocked. The hotel was not able to provide me breakfast (already fully booked)... I was expecting at least some coffee since the hotel was not able to serve me, but the machine was disable to us (it was turned on but covered to not be used).
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Check in staff a little brusque - I expect they had better things to do but still would have expected a little brighter reception.
10.0 Excellent

7.5 Good
Pros: What can I say, this hotel is for "adults" and room was set up for "adults". Outside Jacuzzi tub, two inside showers, inside jacuzzi tub, with wet lounge area. Hairdryers, selection of shampoos, lotions, etc... Large comfortable bed complete with Karaoke Machine, mood lighting and condom by the bedside. Two small Japanese style vending machines available for when you need a small snack for energy.(yes in the room) I booked this hotel so I would be semi close to the airport and it was just 30 minutes away, lets just say I am probably glad I didn't have a black light with me. All in all I would still stay there again if I was flying out of Narita. The room was bigger than most hotels in Japan. The room was reserved through Booking.com from 6PM, I didn't notice this so we had a bit of difficulty checking in early. They were very nice and let us check in early because we were leaving so early (I think you can rent these rooms by the hour) No english speaking but they had one of those electronic translators which worked very well. Yes, I know it says "adult" hotel in the title, I googled adult hotel in Japan and read that it didn't mean the same thing in Japan. Maybe the difference is you bring your own partner, didn't see any partners hanging around on the streets...lol
Cons: The lady checking us in, told us to call in the morning and she could arrange a taxi to take us to the train station (needed to catch a 6:26am train), we had to go down in the morning and speak directly with them to use the cool translator, however we were told they could not get us a taxi, due to language barrier we are not sure why. Needless to say we had to walk 20 minutes to the train station with a heavy suitcase, so glad it had wheels but now the wheels are shot and the suitcase is no longer usable. We made the train and got a brisk walk before our long day of flights so its not a big deal plus we needed a new suitcase anyways.
