Friendly, welcoming and accomodating
Lovely room with good view. Centrally located in the town with safe on-street parking. Freindly owners.
Friendly owners, with no-fuss parking permits, good breakfast. Good central location walkable anywhere in town.
Spacious, everything needed,
Easy to find Unavle to connect to internet
friendly clerk at check-in. Rooms were fine although bed in Room 19 was uncomfortable. Wait staff not very friendly. Breakfast buffet wasn't great. Just a lot of toast. Muffins and pastries would have made it better.
Close to the town center We were shown a room that was not the standerd of the room we had paid for and would have been left in that room if we had not complained. Represents poor value for the price. Would not stay at this hotel again
the freindly staff. The management inability to return calls reference the complaint i made.
Central location I Did not like being called mate by the waiting staff, not enough electrical points in room, for business use. Oh and the TV reception and channel choice is very poor.
very clean room and bar area, friendly staff we arrived ealy howver we were told that the room would be ready at 2 ocklock.the rom was still being cleaned at half past 2
Excellent comfortable hotel in a central location, with good breakfast and evening meal facilities. Value for money, helpful staff.
Good size room, clean and comfortable. Excellent buffet and cooked breakfast. Good fairly quiet location in centre of town, few minutes walk from rail and bus stations. Good value for money.
Location, ambiance, food, the drawing, and snooker rooms along with an interesting library, the grounds, pond, walking paths, tennis and walled garden. Tranquility. Just an excellent place. WiFi was highly appreciated. Temperature control poor. Very hot when we arrived; could only cool down by turning off all heat registers. The shower head is way too large for a small shower stall and should not be an overhead. A table and chair for a computer would be nice.
We enjoyed our stay. The room was very pleasant and comfortable with a great view, and the breakfast was lovely.
very comfortable and helpful owners
Campfield House is clean and its owners were friendly. We wrote in advance that we did not eat meat and were given the breakfast minus meat. Other places have provided vegetarian sausages. There was very little space between the bed and wall to get to the en-suite. We are of average build. Somehow we felt sqashed into someone's home; the hall had a lot personal items piled up and the table for breakfast seemed to have been put into a family sitting room. Nothing awful to complain about we just wouldn't return. see above
The bed was comfy and lots of tea and coffee.
Friendly service. Breakfast precisely on time and fully prepared. Homely feel. Great price for a high standard of accomodation.
Good food. Friendly people. Adequate parking None
The views from the property were excellent, the atmosphere informal and the food of good quality. Parking was also available at the property.
Loch View and safe off road parking 3 Miles to Fort William centre
Good location, not too far from the centre so easy access for meals. Parking available close to house. Very friendly welcome. N/A
The owners were very helpful after I had to alter my booking. I found it a quiet and relaxing experience with a lovely waterside view of Loch Linnhe. It was no bother to them that we had our dog with us, and it was a good idea to take its cage to sleep in as, quite rightly in my opinion, it was not allowed on the bed. The Scottish breakfast was very substantial and was ordered the night before.
Reception were most welcoming, the situation of the hotel and the comfortable atmosphere
The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The staff was very helpful and courteous. No midges and a drink on the patio overlooking the loch - bliss.
The view was idyllic. The staff were very polite.
The view of the enchanting scenery was beautiful.
I stayed this hotel with my familiy (wife and two chirdren (7y &2y). The hotel had prepared a romm with triple beds when i arrived, even thought I booked a room with double beds and an extra bed.
Room with a view landscape simply fantastic
Comfortable faded grandeur Group conducting loud business meeting in public lounge
great atmosphere, very kind people no
food was excellent, and service very good shame that the swimming pool was 2 miles down the road in other hotel
i liked the fact that it had free use of golf swimming and spa facilities
Nice room comfortable and clean.
Hotel was clean and rooms had been newly refurbished. No information in room of fire exits and meal availability. No warning about scalding hot water. Poor food at breakfast and poor availability after a coach party had blitzed the breakfast room. Quality of food was poor. Tv had hardly any choice of programmes despite the only information in the room advertising all the available tv channels, we could only receive about 4. Room was located at back of hotel up many stairs and corridors.
A pleasant hotel to stay at with friendly waiting staff. Chaotic check-in / check-out, with original e-mail reservation lost. Then tried to charge a higher rate, and capped it all by telephoning the next day to make a 'no show' charge for not having arrived as booked!
Our room had great view, but seems not very many do. Our room had plenty of space for our family of 4 For hotel rate, you would think the "complimentary" breakfast would include hot chocolate.
the views the shower was very poor
Bedrooms were adequately furnished, & very clean Reception areas are in need of refurbishment, staff were polite but didn't provide the service you would expect. The Bar was closed at 10pm, and we were told we could take drinks to our room!
The internet booking was not registered in the hotel and that was really bad. Curtains in dinningroom can get attention, little sloppy.
It was cheap No major issues, you get what you pay for, the basics
Very good position, free parking available.
No lift to top floor. cold shower. very bad bed.
Bathroom very cold no heating
Friendly helpful staff, lovely location, nice breakfast Bedroom was cold on arrival & took a while to warm up
the setting with its magnificent views; the ample amount of car parking spaces; the breakfast service was superb. didn't have time to see any negatives that's if there were any.
Friendly staff and excellent cooked breakfast.
The scenery was superb and provided a restful stay We stayed at the front of the Hotel and (as it was hot we opened the window) found the noise from the road (A82) was quite irritating
The friendliness of the staff and the excellent location. It was not a significant problem but the hotel is in need of refurbishment
Beautiful grounds. Elegant.
The peaceful location
The view was amazing! The food was almost as good as the view. The walls of our room were rather thin and we could hear people talking in the room next door.
very obliging staff who made the stay most relaxing together with most enjoyable food. noise from lounge bar music system coming into room 18 (speakers embedded in floor space of our room)
Comfortable, friendly, good food.
We had a wonderful time in this hotel. Such a beautiful and unique setting with a very warm, relaxing and cosy atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
Wonderful scenery in remote area and the Inn is very welcoming and cosy. I liked getting the ferry across and getting away from main roads. The ferry is a bit expensive at £6.40 each time although there is no need to take it each day as the area on the Inn side is just as beautiful as the better known places on the Glencoe side
The location. The weather.
The staff and the food were absolutely first class. It was a very restful break. I dont believe the internet photos do it justice.
Good value for money The food could have been better
we had an excellent holiday, the staff were friendly the food was excellent you couldn't beat the view from our bedroom. no
Ease of access to the room and a friendly welcome.
The location No
Great location and views.
Ideally situated for the train station - especially as we had a wheelchair guest. Nothing
The members of staff were very friendly and helpful.
very helpful staff, right across from train station
Good Location. Friendly and Helpful Staff, especially in the restaurant.
location of the hotel as my husband uses crutches and there are no hill's
ideal location for rail travellers. the buffet breakfast could be better, some items were cold.
Great vfm and very helpful staff. Good restaurant in the Food Stop. Hard to be critical at this price but a make-over would not go amiss.
staff very friendly and helpful. Room comfortable. Central town location is a bonus.
Our room was a bit noisy. The kitchen fans were specially loud, but they stopped during the night and re-started in the morning.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating with regards to having a 14 month old baby with us. The location was pretty central to the shops etc.
Fantastic location, friendly staff, excellent room and wonderful food. Very highly recommended. The rain.
very comfy bed and pillows. DVD collection. internet access
Delicious breakfast, cosiness, provision of services, such as DVDs, afternoon tea etc.....
The old Pines was perfect for us with great attention to detail...very welcoming
location and comfort-- perfect for our needs, all as usual N/A
Nice setting, friendly staff, excellent food, clean and comfortable accommodation.
Its a cozy place to stay with a hearty breakfast and a family run feeling
peace and quiet, spectacular views and good for walking
unique ambience and setting and excellent food as well as helpfulness of owner and staff It was not ideal that one member of our party had to move room after one night. As well as this the family that moved into that room were very noisy and disruptive and could be heard clearly from our room
its location right in the centre of town no
Polite staff Clean Room icy cold on entering Heater broken in bathroom Fire alarm woke us during the night (no fire and we don't smoke) Only one channel on tv
The walls of the hotel were paper thin it sounded like people were walking and talking in your room, made it very hard to sleep.
Room was clean and comfortable, staff were great. Other guests were a bit noisy.
no breakfast available
Good location, clean rooms well appointed. 24 Hour reception. Very good value
Location, close to rail station.
Location There was nowhere to place clothes, jumpers etc as there were no shelves, cupboards or drawers in the room. The curtains did not fit the window but were about 8 inches away from the frame, therefore allowing daylight in all the time. The room looked and felt 'run down' with black fungus around the small shower cubicle. TV remote did not work as the batteries were expended.
clean, comfortable, warm rooms with plenty of hot water
Good value for money, conveniently located. Lack of breakfast off-season (though there is a good cafe nearby, and a self-catering kitchen on-site).
the food was very good and the bar area friendly asked at reception for someone to come and check the tv because the reception was bad and nobody came
Warm, clean & leisure club attached
The Leisure faclilities
having leisure facilities to hand Hotel was a bit tired and rooms in need of redecoration and or upgrade.
The new pool and spa centre was by far the best part of this hotel. Room was drab and dreary and slightly damp with no heating working. After complaining 3 times and offered a heater that never came we were given another room to stay in the second night which was far superior. This room in the Annex building changed our minds about the hotel and we would stay here again.
Staff friendly and sauna and pool excellent some of bar food not cooked through
Hotel efficiently run,and staff very correct. Room clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast adequate, and evening meal excellent. Lovely views towards Ben nevis and the mountains. Rather a long walk from hotel reception/bar/restaurant to my bedroom. The weather was very windy during my stay, and as the windows in my room would not close tightly, the otherwise efficient central heating could not keep my room fully warm.
location was good, welcome excellent, hotel facilities very weloming and food good. TV had not been reprogrammed for digital. Only 2 stations available and no was of turning down the sound. Complained in morning and accept explanation about engineers not having completed work.
I enjoyed the pool and spa facilities. Rooms were clean and comfortable Toilet seat kept falling off and toilet paper was too awkward to reach. Long curtain covered radiator and heat was lost out of window
Fabulous location Nothing
The hotel was excellent and the food was fresh, well cooked and could be recommended to anyone.
the weather and the company. rooms not worth the money;have been in a lot better, the shower was very underpowered very poor
staff very helpful. rooms were spotless.
Friendly staff, pleasant surroundings. Good menu and reasonable prices. VG provision of toiletries. Only a couple of minor irritants. Room I had had dormer window, therefore no view and paper was peeling from wall below window. Room 6.
Friendly staff ; good food and prompt service
warm welcome, relaxed feel to place, good breakfast shower not going to win any prizes, mattress a little uncomfortable
The location and the friendliness of the staff It feels slightly old fashioned and in need of updating
Ambience and proximity to interesting features, Neptune's Gateway.
the staff wer very helpfull & pleasent,it was veary cozzy, the meals veary good
Friendly staff, very comfortable room, exellent breakfast.
Excellent hotel, very friendly and welcoming. Fantasti views over the loch. Great attention to detail and good value for money. We would stay here again. None
Was a friendly accommodating place that knew how to make a hillwalkers stay top class. Good food, great accomodation and drying facilities no
The hospitality and comfort. Excellent breakfast and good local knowledge.
Friendly considerate staff. excellant service helpfull advice. No evening meal available.
A warm welcome and very comfortable stay. There's also an excellent lounge with a bar and fireplace.
The staff were very friendly and the room was spacious, clean and relaxing. we would definately go again.
The location is stunning, right on a loch with amazing views over the water and onto the mountains. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our room was huge and had breathtaking views. The hotel also has a whiskey bar, one of only 20 Whiskey Bars of Distinction in the whole world. Very impressive. Breakfast was lovely too!
The traditional atmosphere , the views out over the loch , first class breakfast and the excellent rooms and welcoming nature of the owners. The log fire was a nice touch. Lovely big house but heating struggled a bit with the cold weather
excellent friendly hotel and the staff were more than happy to help out with anything
