Pros: It was super clean, breakfast was amazing! The owner himself baked everything fresh from cakes to cookies and bread. Just amazing. The location was as central as it could be, super close to the beach and best restaurants. Absolutely recommend to stay at this place if you want to stay in the center of Calabria.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Familiar business, with staff very helpful and friendly and very modern facilities. Totally exceeded expectations - as did the city.
Cons: Nothing at all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The proprietor was very charming and really helpful. He gave us great restaurant recommendations, helped in every way with calling taxis, and even let us stay a bit longer for a late checkout. The breakfast was excellent and very fresh - cakes that his grandmother made! the rooms were decorated nicely and you can't beat the location.
Cons: Even though he explained the a/c it never really got as cool as I would hae liked. And there were no extra duvets in the bed so just the sheet was a little too light for my liking. But very minor complaints.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Easily walked to the property from the train station. Wonderful host who was quick to point out recommendations for sightseeing and great local restaurants. Great breakfast offerings and rooftop terrace with views of the coast and Sicily. Highly recommend!

Pros: Good value for money with extremely efficient and cordial owner. It was really a pleasure staying in this apartment and moreover for a small amount of money I was allowed to use the owner's own garage. How's that for service!
Cons: The only negative note which however, is not the owner's fault, is the few nearby restaurants from where to choose.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an amazing stay in great property. The rooms were named by the places the owners visited. Very clean and pleasant to stay in. The host super nice and communicative :). Thank you for great service! Definitely worth recommendation!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This lovely modern room was perfect for me. The building from the street doesn’t look wonderful as it’s slowly being renovated but inside is modern and lovely. I chose to walk the 10 minutes from the the train station to the building. I was warmly greeted by the owner. She spoke a little English and with the help of Google Translate we sorted everything out, I got helpful information and was advised of a nearby pizza restaurant where I could get something to eat. There were cans and bottles of cold drinks in the fridge which you can purchase if you choose. I had the New York room which has blue tones and 2 twin beds. There are 2 other doors off the shared kitchen which are named Miami and Chicago. They are on the other side of the building from mine and I didn’t see inside them. My room has a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs. You can see the sea from the balcony. There is some street noise during the day while the balcony door is open but nothing more than any other small city. I felt comfortable and safe in the room. The mattress is quite firm like they are throughout most of Italy in this standard of apartment. The bathroom is modern and provides toiletries via a dispenser on the wall of the shower. The owner lives downstairs. She will mind my bag for me after I check out at 10:00am.
9.6 Excellent
Cons: Without wine opener

Pros: Comfortable beds and lovely friendly staff. Nice and close to the square & beach too! Lovely breakfast next door.
Cons: No tea/coffee facilities in the individual rooms. One keycard for power in the room so if one person went for a walk there was no power in the room. We were not able to charge laptops/power banks while we weren’t in the room either which was a little frustrating. We had a lovely stay though! The plug for the basin was also broken in our room so the water wouldn’t drain.
10.0 Excellent

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The name was perfectly chosen. Aretē means excellence in Greek and this B&B truly lived up to its name. My room was beautiful with large windows and a terrace where I could sit and look at Sicily and enjoy the cool ocean breeze. Everything was within a quick walk, and Fabio around the corner gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had! Truthfully, I can’t wait to return. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious and served on a terrace overlooking Mt Etna across the strait. Thank you Francesco, Christina, and of course Anna..
Cons: Nothing. I wanted to stay forever. In fact, I did prolong my initial stay by a week!

Pros: Giuseppe went above and beyond in service. He managed free parking on the street for us. When we forgot our room key, he drove and found us walking, delaying his skiing. He is also friendly and informative about anything Italy or Reggio.

Pros: Location, service, hospitality and our wonderful hostess - Illiana made our staying very special...I will be definitely looking forward to visit this place again and again...
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our small double room was quite small but we stayed only one night so it was perfect for our need. It had a small fridge and air conditioning and was very clean and neat. Outside the room was a small table and chairs looking on to a pretty garden and fish pond. Breakfast was served on a balcony overlooking Villa San Giovanni / Scilla coastline and looking over to Sicily - great panoramic views. Each table was given a selection of pastries, toast, juice, yoghurt, fruit, coffee. A very good and generous selection of options. The swimming pool was lovely providing a great opportunity to cool off in the heat and lay back and enjoy the views.
Cons: There is nothing in the area within walking distance so you need to drive to find a restaurant to eat. But there was a very nice place, Scilla e Cariddi, recommended by the hosts, only a couple of kilometres away which served huge platters of seafood and pizzas with views overlooking the water.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property and wonderful hosts.

Cons: The exact location of the hotel was hard to find even with a Sat Nav; it's quite tucked away in the corner of a little square. Once reception is closed the only way in and out of the hotel is via the back door into a back street; but this is through a very lovely garden.

6.7 Good
Cons: Difficult site to find. Needs better signage especially at entrance off main road. Do not try and find this BB at night. Very dangerous and hilly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Spectacular views from the property both from the terrace of our room and, of course, the amazing pool. We loved the tranquility and it was the perfect place to unwind for a couple of nights after quite a long road trip. Andrea was a very attentive host. He had thoughtfully got some brochures in English and all the important details had been translated. Breakfast was lovely with the biggest grapes and kiwi fruit we had ever seen! There were also lots of little extra touches we appreciated - a plug in mosquito repellent was in our room and Andrea also left a box of pegs for us to dry our swimsuits.
Cons: The property is a little isolated (hence the amazing views) so you can't walk to a restaurant. However Andrea recommended two very good restaurants and had drawn a map so we could find them easily.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The views, the hospitalty, the pool, the environment
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Maybe the road in but not really a problem except maybe at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was lovely, lots of variety and very relaxing! Location was stunning with incredible views down towards the sea and across to Sicily. The infinity pool was awesome. The whole property is beautifully designed and furnished with some lovely art work. Andrea has thought of every travelers needs with extras like clothes horse, pegs, candles, extra toiletries and bottled water. A gem of a property. The photos do not portray how stunning this property is.
Cons: It was all beyond perfect
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Pool was beautiful, views from pool/terrace were amazing. room was very clean and luxurious and quiet and peaceful with a beautiful patio. Owner was friendly and hospitable despite language barrier and simple breakfast was a nice way to start day. Enjoyable experience
Cons: No fridge to cool drinks or put snacks, which is especially an important amenity to have considering how remote the accomodation is from towns + strict/inconvenient house rules such as no use of pool between 1-4 pm and no eating/drinking around pool and having to wear a t shirt when walking from pool back to room With a fridge and less strict rules, the property would be 10/10!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is super clean and beautifu! I had the room with the sea view and I was happy to watch Sicily from my window. :) I also liked the art all around the hotel. The room and the bathroom were brand new and very comfortable. This was absolutely the best shower in South-Italy that I had in 6 weeks! Room also had a proper heater/air condition. Lungomare, shopping street, the railway station of Lido and the bus stop to the airport were all super near. Sara was so lovely and helped me a lot during my stay. Grazie mille!
Cons: Everything was perfect but maybe there could have been more some non-sugary options for the breakast, like natural yoghurt, fruits, non-sugary cereals, fresh orange juice. But I know in Italy is normal to have sweets for breakfast so I am very used to buy my own. :) I liked that the breakfast was self-service and you was able to do it anytime.

Cons: Breakfast
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The apartment is completely new and trendy and the location very convenient. Staff was super nice and check-in very easy. Roof top terrace is amazing.

Cons: Rather noisy at night because overlooks the Main Street.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very well positioned, on the beach, offering a nice, cosy room, italian breakfast and free parking, but we appreciated especially our hosts, Ferruccio and its team, who did everything to have a good time. Definitely we will come again!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The house is very close to the beach, which must be very comfortable in summer. It is also close to the railway station. The owner does his best to make you feel comfortable.
Cons: Next to the house there is a road, which unfortunately made a lot of noise in my room (but some rooms may have windows on the opposite side of the house). Also the walls are quite thin, so in addition you can hear guests from other rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very good location close to train station and beach! Host is very helpful and kind! Big room, nice and clean!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: excellent, excellent location ... I think I never lived so close to such a beautiful beach! one steps out of the house and in 30seconds you can swim! Beautiful view from the beach ... Scilla is amazing! Definitely it was a good decision to stay there. The owner was also nice & friendly, but check out time could be slightly longer than 10:00am.
Cons: it is to consider for those who are extremely sensitive for a road noise (not too busy via Nazionale, but still not really quiet).
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We enjoyed our stay in Scilla and our accommodation at Scilla Mare B&B. Feruccio was a wonderful host and assisted us in every way. Thanks Feruccio - we look forward to returning to Scilla again!
6.7 Good
Pros: Location near the beach, breakfast and the owner
Cons: It’s all but luxurious. The room is very basic, quite dark and the tv is placed in a strange place, above a cupboard, making it awkward to watch it. In the bathroom everything look cheap

Clean kitchen, that is well equipped with everything you need to cook. Large refrigerator, coffee maker, with supplied coffee by the B&B. The owner even brings fresh bake goods everyday. Pros: Everything was perfect.. The lady on the front desk she was really pleasant
Cons: Nothing to improve
2.9 Mediocre
Cons: Food only served certain hours. Pool was rented out to outside customers, we were unable to have chairs at the pool because of this. Very disappointed in this hotel.

Cons: Not enough parking space
4.2 Okay

Cons: Not friendly management gave one key and shut off all when are not in room so very hot and always having to be let in your room!!! Would go outside this area stay in taromina much nicer
6.7 Good
Pros: The bedroom and bathroom was spacious. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower with a decent vanity area around the wash hand basin. The premises have a nice large swimming pool with a small kiddies pool.
Cons: No room service provided. Meals were very limited and only available during fixed hours. There is nowhere to eat nearby, I was assured there are restaurants within a ten minute walk however this turned out to be a 30 - 40 minute walk. The staff speak very little English. I had a horrific incident where the owner and several maintenance guys opened the bedroom door catching me unclothed in the room. I reported the lock on the door faulty earlier, there was a knock on the door to which I responded that I will open in a moment, but they just opened the door from the outside before I had a chance to get dressed after just having stepped out of the shower catching me naked. This incident left me totally shaken and when I reported the incident a little later to reception it was minimised and downplayed and left to the receptionist to deal with despite my request to speak to a manager or the person in charge. It is totally unacceptable for any hotel staff to open the door to a guest room while the guest is inside and they have been made aware that the guest is inside. Protocol is to wait for the guest to open the door for staff. At no point did management apologise or try to make any amends for this incident.
6.7 Good
Pros: Nice gardens Good bathroom Good Breakfast
Cons: Restaurant too small for number of residents. Set dinner poor. Staff tried to help but were inefficient Spa unavailable and reluctant to allow use of pool
4.6 Okay
Pros: Came for the spa, staff told us the spa is not available atm, couldn’t name a reason... Waste of money...

Cons: Lighting in room could have been better
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was totally wonderful. Everyone and everything was excellent.
Cons: I can't think of anything we didn't like.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: We did not like the hotel and were happy to move out after one night to Giardini Naxos where we are staying in a wonderful garden beach hotel.
Cons: The hotel is old and pictures do not represent its current state. The pictures were taken some 10-15 years ago... In our room ceiling light did not work, electronic door lock did not work and bathroom furniture was disintegrating. Plastic furniture on the terrace was painted (Who paints plastics?). And air conditioner control did not function either, it is either ON or OFF. We wanted to discuss it with the manager, but when he understood that it was a complaint he reported himself busy in a meeting (He didn't know that we understand italian, but we understood what he actually said to be told to us). Our mistake was not to have checked rating of Capo Peloro on TripAdvisor prior to booking, which is not high. Dinner was funny with a lot of cheap pasta: it was a buffet and they brought bread only when our dinner was already finished, 1 hour after the start of dinner.
7.5 Good
Pros: The rooms were well laid out and reasonably spacious .
Cons: Bed was very hard. Coffee from machine at breakfast . No snacks at bar
9.6 Excellent
Pros: They gaver us very big nice rooms. The breakfast was good, I only missed the fresh orange juice. Location of hotel: rather in isolation, nothing around the hotel at this time.
