good value, comfortable room, not impressed with the check in girl, found her very cold. not overly
A memorable experience for all lovers of Castles. Especially medieval castles. (Read up on this castle to fully experience the history.) Our rooms were clean and well maintained. Quiet and comfortable. Such a sense of history to walk through the halls of a medieval castle to retire for the night. Do not. Do not. Do not eat in the comedor. The food is absolutely awful in every sense of the word. Expensive and horrible. Cheap, inexpensive and almost rotten ingredients disguised as cultural gourmet. Full of salt, fat and tasteless nonsense the food could be purchased anywhere, a very sad, sad disappointment.
Top class facilities and magnificent building and location
Good room with plenty of space and modern facilities. Wonderful location in a modernised castle, beautiful views, fascinating history. Dinner was good but overpriced.
Splendid location and fantastic views. Very clean and comfortable. The service was good and the food excellent. A one night stay plus dinner and breakfast for two adults was approx 200 euros which is verging on the expensive. Do not treat Paradors as a low cost option for overnight stays. The cost if anything is high but is generally outweighed by the facilities/location/service
There should be an English speaking receptionist
Staff were very friendly. The bed were unconfortable
althouglh a nice hotel it is not close to any amenities e.g. shops, restaurants, etc
Good restaurant Not good value for money, located out of town
This hotel did not warrant a 3 star rating. The Menu of the day was good but the dining room was uninviting. The room was stark and very basic. The door was rickety and did not feel secure. It was very noisy in the corridors. A very disappointing stay!
The isolated village location lets you get away from the hustle & bustle of the cities & coastal areas. Getting there by car takes you through ever changing landscapes & vistas. The hotel is situated on the small & attractive village plaza & clearly the local authorities have invested much money in the village in recent years. The hosts are wonderful; informative & ever helpful (& they speak good English). The breakfast that Clara prepared was the best hotel breakfast we have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. The front rooms on the second floor have great little balconies & catch a lot of sun. Highly recommend this hotel, whether you are passing or as a destination in itself. Well worth a trip up to the local Hermitage above the village. Nothing, nada. Just be aware that there are no shops etc in this small village - just one small bar next to the hotel.
The home made food was excellent and the owner very friendly. Could not have wished for a better service. No complains this hotel is a little gem.
This is a total package. Boutique hotel, pretty village, friendly locals, friendly and out going owners, exceptional food, practical and inciteful tourism advice and great value for money. We dined-in each night (little choice in a small village) and experienced an ever changing menu of gourmet delights. A 3 day highlight amongst 10 weeks of spanish treasures.
The warm and generous hospitality of the host and the fabulous meals, breakfast as well as dinner, were outstanding. We were impressed by the personal interest and trip advice given by the host when asked. Nothing was too much trouble for them. As we were the only guests at the time, we were made to feel like family, they were so welcoming. The room was also very comfortable. A delightful place to stay. Nothing.
First class in every way.
