Property is quite large and beautifully surrounded by palm trees, perfect for relaxing while stopping on the way to Merzouga. Pros: Omg this place left me speechless! A true oasis in the middle of nowhere. The staff made us feel at home. Most amazing decor and boho vibe. Best breakfast and dinner we’ve eaten during our 8 day Moroccan trip. Would come back in a heartbeat!
Cons: WiFi did not work at all in the room. But that is understandable because of the remote location. No WiFi in paradise :)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beautiful gardens , the outdoor dining ( excellent dinner with wine ) the helpful and personable staff, the artworks and, most of all, the serenity. The rescued animal facility was very touching.

Pros: This property is very unique. The rooms are located in a separate building from the main house which serves as the office and dining room. The property is a wonderful garden with shady areas for relaxing throughout the garden area. At the east end of the garden is a lovely pool area with lounge beds, tables and chairs for reading. As you meander through the garden you will find hammocks and quiet spots for reading. The dining room has floor to ceiling windows looking out on to the garden. The rooms are located at the north end of the property which acts as a quest house for visitors. This is a true oasis experience in Morocco. Excellent food, top notch service, beautiful bedrooms and terraces for relaxing. Don’t miss this property in Skoura.

Pros: We loved the gardens that gave a real breath of fresh air in the boiling heat of July. The room was really beautiful and all the details were very thought through. The food we were served was delicious and the staff incredibly friendly! I highly recommend it and would love to go back myself.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: The property is beautiful. The room is a good size. It is a very tranquil setting. It is in a palmerie near a restored kasbah. Has a nice terrace and pool. Fresh herbs are growing everywhere.
Cons: The bathroom is beautiful but too dark, my husband couldn't shave. Dinner is served from a rotating menu with 1 selection a day. I tried to find out the offering for our day ahead of time but could not get a response. When we arrived we were told what the 4 course dinner being served was and we decided to skip it. We are not eating fresh unpeeled fruit or vegies, the first course was that. The second course was a vegie omelet and while he would have eaten that I am not a big egg eater. The third course was a lamb tangine thing and well if you have eaten in Morocco, .....desert was an apple tart which we both would have eaten. My husband was not feeling well and another same meal @210 dirham pp just did not sound appealing. We graciously declined and they graciously said they would make us something else but we had had a late lunch so we were just going to skip it and let him rest up and get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately this was not accepted as an answer. The dinner subject happened at least 4 times with each contact getting more insistent that we eat dinner. They even knocked on our door at 6:20 to ask again would we be eating. The hotel is owned by a French couple and she is passive aggressive. She was greeting guests by the pool, confronted my husband and again graciously offered to have them cook him something else, rice or spaghetti etc. He graciously declined and then she asked him point blank if it was the Moroccan cuisine and menu, as she is French he indicated yes this was part of the issue, but she wouldn't let it go. She even started again as we were paying our bill the next morning, why didn't we eat and she was not going to bill us, which it was not on our bill. I recognize that 420 dirham, ~ $42. USD for dinner is a big revenue source for them but she should have let our no thank you stand without trying to make us uncomfortable or apologetic. As I said it was a very passive aggressive exchange.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous staff, particularly Rida who was very engaging. A good chef who provides delicious meals at a very high standard. Tastefully decorated rooms. Garden is beautiful, pool is warm, and there are so many lovely places to relax and enjoy the warmth. Marie and Phillipe, the owners, also make a point of meeting and greeting all their guests. I'd highly recommend this place!
Cons: The road in isn't paved and the wifi isn't strong but small hassles compared with the positives.

Pros: Wonderful place in the middle of the palmeraie. Easy to find when following the green triangles. Clean and comfortable room. Very friendly hosts and staff. Dinner in the hotel is an option which was very tasty (and they have wine). The most beautiful was the garden, which is a perfect place to relax.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner is very welcoming. When he knew that my husband liked taking photos, he asked his staff to a roof of his neighbourhood to take pictures of the palm. The room is big and comfy. The pool was nice (thou I didn't got a chance to swim). I also enjoyed sitting outdoor for dinner and breakfast, enjoying a beautiful garden and a variety of flowers and trees.
Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is excellent! True oasis in the middle of a palm grove just a bit outside of Skoura. You’ve got the pool to cool off, terrace on the roof to admire the stars, garden with pomegranate trees, olive trees, grass and thyme bushes and excellent dinner served at the lovely dining area. I just wished we hadn’t used that stop just to have a short break while driving from Marrakech to Merzouga. This place is perfect for a quiet holiday chilling, reading, swimming and meditating for a week if you ask me :) PS! I think the place looks even better in real life than on photos!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Like visiting the Garden of Eden! Flowering trees, bees, donkeys-a swimming pool. Lovely food. Warm hosts. I really found this a wonderful experience.i loved walking in the palm groves.
Cons: Though blissful when you get there, Dar Lorkum is hard to find. You have to drive several kilometers down a winding unpaved road. Make sure your vehicle can handle it!

Pros: The hotel was quite a surprise. As you drive up, you can't tell what's behind the walls, but as soon as we entered the gate, parked the car, then walked into the courtyard, we knew we had made a great choice. The landscaping, pool, exercise room, game room, terraces, and dining facilities were amazing! Our suite was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were excellent. The food was delicious - the breakfast buffet was huge with lots of options. We would definitely recommend Chez Talout!

9.6 Excellent
Pros: The Kasbah is beautiful and it's located in a very quite place. The staff, in particular Mohamed (probably one of the kindest person i have ever known), was very kind to me and my family. They satisfied every our request. I will definitely come back.
Cons: The bathroom needs small smooth.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great kasbah building, with big common areas to relax and have dinner. Beautiful view over the river. But the real stars are the hosts! Mohammed and Madame really welcomed us into their home. Extremely kind, helpful and cheerful - another level in the already high standard of Moroccon hospitality. Madame's cooking was some of the very best in our 3 weeks in Morocco. Highly recommended!
Cons: The shared bathroom on the first floor is very basic - no shower curtain, shower head has to be held in your hand while showering, squat toilet (also toilet bowl). In the morning, there was often no hot water from the shower. Pool was very cold.
7.1 Good
Pros: Breakfast and dinner was good and the staff is very friendly and helpfull. Dinner is a lot so be hungry ;)
Cons: Smelly bathroom and bit basic. Location is a bit far from the city and palmoasis, but if you have a car it is fine.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kasbah is very nice calm place. Hosts are very kind. She is the best chef - best dinner what we had in Morocco. Portions are enormous. And swimming pool is refreshing. I would just recommend that accommodation.
Cons: At the evening there was a lot of mosquitoes.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Nice kasbah with a pool in a small village pretty much only accessible with a car. Charming surroundings and nice people. Stop here for a night if you’re able to. They also made very good dinner.
Cons: We got another room which was not that good. They eventually offered the original room after we were already settled down, so in the end we didn’t take it. Not a big deal
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful and friendly staff ! They speak English and French. The location is great around palm threes. We couldn’t have picked for a better place to stay for a quick stop on our way to desert. Delicious breakfast in the morning prepared by Madame Najete :) there is also a good Kasbah close by really worth a visit. Thanks for the fabulous stay <3

Pros: Amazing location and fantastic staff!! Must visit lodge . Rent the bike to explore the palmerie
Cons: I visited this place 3 years ago and I think the structure should be renovated a little bit But it is still a great place
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The Ecolodge is clearly something special. Away from the noise with charming host and beautiful surroundings. Food is excellent, even the red wine was delicious.
Cons: The only hassle was to get there. Due to rainfall the Dax day before we had trouble getting through rural streets to the Ecolodge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great pool! Loved breakfast and dinner! So peaceful and relaxing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Setting in middle of oasis. Big estate. Kids friendly. Very good food. Owner avalaible.
Cons: Too many rooms and guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The lodge is wonderful and very relaxing. The staff was very kind.
Cons: Wi-Fi connection
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place is brilliant. Really does feel like you are there for pure relaxation. A proper oasis! Grounds are great, lodges spread out across a good space with a lovely pool/breakfast/dinner area. Rooms clean and spacious, yet perfectly cosy.
Cons: The 'infamous' road in. Despite reading warnings beforehand it proved tricky, and delayed us arriving by 45 minutes as we waited for assistance. It would be good to have had a bit more communication from the property before, as there is a slightly longer (but better) alternative route, which personally I would recommend people to use.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was superb and the environment was interesting.
Cons: Limited hot water

Pros: Mr Reda, the hotel manager, did his very best to make our stay comfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good location and large room. The room is clean and staff is very nice.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Staying in a kasbah is a great experience I would recommend to any traveller. Right next to Kasbah Amridil (be aware of two separate museums that claim to be the real deal - the right one is the true old kasbah).
Cons: Not a lot to do around the hotel besides the Kasbah Amridil. A walk around is nice, but not special.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good place and friendly owner
Cons: Nil
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Incredible hospitality from Reda!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Reda and his family. The attention. The beautiful building.
Cons: The shower is part of the toilet room. Everything goes wet.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location within the kasbah!! Best view on the terrace +++ Friendly family owner, very caring. Big breakfast and nice rooms. All perfect!! Absolutely recommended for an optimum experience in a traditional clay palace!!!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The best part about this Kasbah is the owner—Reda and his family. He and his loved ones are incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home instantly. There is a beautiful terrace and patio— so we were able to spend a lot of time outside viewing the beautiful sunset and surroundings. They offer a nice breakfast and tasty dinner. Reda arranged a private tour of the Kasbah Amridil, which was inexpensive and honestly way more in-depth about the kasbah lifestyle and tools than our tour at Ait Benhaddou.
Cons: The amenities are simple, but is certainly a great value. Our private bathroom was quite small, but it met all our needs. It is worth pointing out that most accommodations in this price range would offer shared bathrooms.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place we’ve been in Morocco! Not a five star hotel, but the atmosphere here is magic, worth the whole trip. Location obviously helps, but staff and owners make this place truly special. Decorated with taste, functional and beautiful. Next door museum best we’ve visited as well. Thanks!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The small "complex" with it's beautiful garden and different rooms scattered around the place was just amazing. The pool was clean, there were several Chillout and sitting areas at the place and everything was green. Also the room was by far the largest we had. It was almost a small apartment with bedroom, living room, the bathroom and a small hallway with nice decorations. Everything was clean Also the staff was really nice, they offered us to put our water in the fridge, the breakfast was really good and plenty and the meals served for dinner were great (for 50drs for the dish only and 80 served with salad and fruits). All in all: the best place we stayed in during our 3 weeks in marocco! (Even compared to some with the double price) Thanks for the nice stay!
Cons: A little bit to far from the city center to walk there for eating or something. But at the same time the dinner served there was really nice and was priced okay. Also with a car it's no problem and it is placed so quite that the distance is okay.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: An amazing place, wonderful garden and beautiful & clean rooms in old kasbah. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Very peaceful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Enjoyed our stay. Had a good diner and the staff was very friendly. We could choose our own room. After the ride from Marrakech it was nice to relax at the pool. Really beautiful house!

Cons: Nothing at all!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is heaven on earth. The building, the grounds, the pool, everything is done with so much taste. The decoration of the place is exceptional. Very tasteful, chic but simple, it feels like a privilege to stay here. The staff are amazing. Nice, helpful, fun, really making you feel welcome. We ate our dinner here too and that was great. Starter, main, dessert, high quality food and very reasonably priced. I am vegetarian and that wasn’t a problem at all, they cooked an amazing meal for me. Breakfast in the garden: bliss. The quietness of the place combined with the atmosphere make it the best place you could want to spend your days. Absolutely 100% recommended!
7.1 Good
Cons: The riad is a little hard to find during the night, as their sign is not very well placed. The hotel was all right. We asked for a room with air con, so we were placed in the exterior anexxes of the hotel. I did not like it to be honest. We did find a few bugs in the room, maybe some from the wood ceiling, the matress and pillow were hard. The bedding was clean, no issues with this. the bathroom had no windows, the shower was placed right next to the toilet, so everything would get wet. The breakfast was nothing special, pancakes, jam, butter, usual Marrocan breakfast
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - good breakfast - helpful host - clean room
Cons: - the rooms without locks and padlocks
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great place to stay - very cosy, great breakfast, great surrounding with garden and pool. Owner very helpful to find a nice restaurant in the evening.
Cons: Hard to find as the Kasbah is called "Dar Es Salaam" in google.maps - the owner has sent a detailed description upfront, but I couldn't receive it as I didn't have WiFi during the day....

Pros: This is a special Place it’s a very carefully restored Kasbah - they have used all the original materials and techniques to renovate an 18th century adobe Kasbah - the one modern added element is the beautiful minimalist pool. The food is good there is a lovely cosy bar with a fireplace. This is a great place to stay and feel the history of this valley and it’s architecture.

Pros: We liked the reality of being in a real Kasbah. The building has really well preserved and the room was much larger then we expected. The pool was super cool and very clean. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind.
Cons: The time of year and the fruit being ripe brought out the flies. They were a little hard to ignore. That is not your fault. The only other thing was the local cats that decided to join us for meals. For people highly allergic to cats this was a little bothersome.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What’s not to like staying in an exquisitely restored kasbah? Simple, authentic and exciting with a very pretty garden and pool. Warm helpful staff and a simple delicious dinner - chicken and prune tagine. Warm m’smem pancakes for breakfast.
Cons: I liked everything

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our time here. The staff were the kindest people we met in Morocco and were the best part of our stay. They did lots of little things to make our stay amazing. It's in the tiny details: Incense, nice music, and lighting the garden at dinner, despite us being the only guest during our stay in low season. Amazing dinner and breakfast (dinner for an extremely reasonable price and breakfast free). Gathering the leaves from the pool before we wanted to swim. Fresh fruit, veggies and juices from their beautiful, lush, green garden. It's an amazing place to stay, and when you take into account the price, it's unbeatable. We hope to come back as soon as we can. Thanks again for everything!!!

Pros: If you are looking for a place to stay on your way from Marrakech to the desert, you found it! This is the most beautiful location we stayed at so far and has the best food. Be sure to take the diner menu for 10 euros cause it's literally the best food we had in Morocco, same for the breakfast. They put so much effort in to making it and he even puts rose peddles from the garden on the table. The host and the other men go out of their way to make it an unforgettable stay. I was feeling sick and they even went to the grocery store to get me something to feel better. We planned to stay for only 1 night, but fell in love with this place so we cancelled our next destination to stay another night. The location is truly wonderful, such a beautiful garden with a nice swimming pool. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable as well. We'll never forget this place. Stay here, you won't regret it!
Cons: Nothing! Everything was perfect!

Pros: Great hospitality and generosity. Our stay in Bassatine Skoura, located in the upper part of the Skoura oasis, was simply perfect. A genuine environment managed with heart by Abdou and its kindly staff. Abdou welcomed us with mint tea, the room was clean and quite. We had the opportunity to walk around the oasis for two hours with Abdou, an excellent connoisseur of this place of its culture of its inhabitants of its secrets and its charm. We had the opportunity to have a great dinner and in its simplicity it was delicious with two kinds of delicious tajine, fish and meat. The breakfast was fantastic, freshly baked hot msemen, fresh orange juice, mint tea, yogurt, eggs tajine, dates, ... The Kasbah Amridil can be easily reached by car through comfortable streets between the palm trees of the oasis.
Cons: Anything

Pros: Amazing host, dinner and breakfast super tasty, loved the cosy atmosphere. An oasis in the oasis, loved our stay in Skoura, our host, being a botanist, we could not have had a better guide to explore skoura. Cosy bed.

Pros: Bassatine is a real paradise to stay in the middle of the oasis ! Lovely & friendly host (he showed us around in the authentic village with the bike) , beautiful garden with swimming pool & clean room! The dinner & brakfast were also really good & typical moroccan. We would recommend everyone to go there !!

Pros: Great berber omellete for breakfast. Clean and cosy rooms with A/C and great pool to have a swim in after being in the desert. Thanks a lot for your hospitality!
Cons: I suggest you call the host when arriving to the Skoura bazaar as it is not that easy to find the right route.

The breakfast and dinner was lovely and good value as was the accommodation cost. We would recommend “Dar Dmana” for sure
Cons: Nothing we not like. This is not 5 star accommodation and we accept that. This is an experience that is worth every moment.

Pros: The Meskini family runs this cute kasbah with heart and soul. The rooms are pretty basic, but the roof terrace with views of the palmerie is amazing! Loved watching the sunset and sunrise from here! We had dinner here on the night that we arrived, as well as lunch on the day we departed, and what a culinary feast it was! Fatima works wonders in the kitchen.
Cons: Water pressure in the shower isn't great, but otherwise, the rooms are comfy.

Pros: Beautifully situated in the middle of the palmeraie of Skoura in a beautifull garden with fruit trees. Staff very friendly. Welcome tea with a Moroccan slice of cake. Spacious room. Good breakfast including freshly squeezed pomegranate juice from their own garden. Nice swimming pool with good hang-out places around it. Very good value for money, especially for a quad room.
Cons: Staff urged somewhat to have dinner in the hotel in the evening. Prices of food and drinks are higher comparing to other more convenient places in the neighborhood WiFi only works near the reception and not in the rooms. Way to the hotel is along an unpaved road through the palm oasis but well marked with yellow suns.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The place itself is spacious and comfortable, just be careful if using googlemaps navigation - it may be misleading.
Cons: The dinner was rather "boring", not much taste in it ...
7.9 Good
Pros: People and the area Dinner was fine and we also bought a carpet :)
Cons: Difficoult to reach Bring your hairdryer

Cons: No wifi in the room
7.9 Good
Pros: The place is in a beautiful oasis in the middle of nowhere. The staff is really nice and friendly. We had a lovely dinner with local entertainment:) The room was massive with a very comfortable bed.
Cons: The swimming pool was dirty and wasn’t possible to swim. Wi-Fi is pretty bad and there are no soaps and shampoos. Except that everything really good!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Place in a Traditional Kasbah House located in the middle of Palm gardens. We had nice dinner and the breakfast wad excellent including fresh flat- bread. The owner is very gentle and kind. We had a huge double room with a nice bathroom. Everything is in designed in local berber- style. Highly recommended!
6.7 Good
Pros: Big rooms Nice bathroom It's not hard to find, from the Kasbah just follow the yellow suns drawns besides the road. Though it is an unpaived road, when driving slowly it's doable
Cons: The staff was pushy, they offered us tea and wanted to show us the factory they have for single women but when we where there, they didn't really tell anything about it but just wanted to sell carpets and other stuff to us The pool is really dirty, but since we where there in the winter it did not really matter because it was too cold to swim anyway (and laying there in the sun was fine!)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place.Comfortable accomodation.Great, friendly, helpful staff.Delicious food. If you are looking for a paradise go there. Highly recommended.
Cons: Everything perfect.
6.7 Good
Pros: The folks who ran the hotel were nice. The room, which we hadn't expected much from, exceeded our expectations, though the pool was not heated and therefore, although it was late April, was unusable.
Cons: it's remote and difficult to find. Once there, there is not much to do. You are more less forced to eat there and their menu will satisfy you for no more than one day as it really consists of just two items.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Best nights sleep anywhere. Comfortable bed, very quiet rooms and just a lovely experience.

Bathroom was basic but very clean and functional. We had supper in front of a fireplace and the food was very tasty. It was an enjoyable evening chatting and eating. Auberge Famille Benmoro - Skoura - Building

8.2 Excellent (64 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Auberge Famillie Benmoro is a wonderfully restored Kasbah. Driss is a great host and lives onsite with his family and parents. There is an elevated terrace with a lovely views over the Palmerie and it is a great spot to watch the sun go down. Had dinner out there on a prefect evening. Fabulous swimming pool, very cool and refreshing with a pool house we could relax in out of the sun. The Palmerie is right behind the Kasbah and great to walk around. It’s a privilege to experience sometime in a historic restored Kasbah.
Cons: The only thing that could do with improving are the bed sheets and towels. I imagine that trying to keep whites white is difficult with the dust from the countryside and the well water so maybe coloured sheets and towels would be better.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff, nice location, nice food!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Calm and authentic family kasbah in the Skoura Palmerie ! We were the only guests there, staying for one night on our way back to Marrakech. Our host was very welcoming ! We had dinner and breakfast on the roof terrace which has the most amazing view over the whole Skoura Oasis ! If you are looking for an authentic experience, this is the place. Thank you, Auberge Benmoro !
7.1 Good
Pros: Auberge Famille Benmoro was a unique and great hotel, tho it was cold in rooms, but probably it was like this because we were staying there in February. The staff was really thoughtful, helpful and friendly. Strange think in these rooms was that the bathrooms don’t have doors, just curtains. Overall it was a great stay even tho it was a bot cold.
Cons: No Wifi in rooms. A bit cold.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We were very warmly welcomed by the owner and his wife cooked for us a delicious dinner with vegetables from the oasis, the owner was lovely and the bedroom was comfortable.
Cons: Nothing

Pros: Absolutely a delightful stay. The hotel is run by a very friendly and warm-hearted family. When we arrived there after a long day’s travel, we were immediately welcomed by the kind couple and the staff. The big smiles and their hospitality made us feel at home at once. Their garden is so beautiful. Absolutely an oasis in desert. The pool is refreshing and has a good size. Our dinner and breakfast was nicely set in the garden surrounded by roses. Food was homemade and well prepared. What a beautiful discovery! Would recommend.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: A very welcoming and attentive family [from Brittany]. Yannick even drove into town specially to pick us up because he thought that the taxi drivers might all be in the mosque on a Friday lunch-time [we had not asked him to]. Collette is an outstanding chef- I would give her more than ten out of ten; and her son Erwann has learnt much of his mother's skill. A lovely rose garden. The proprietors really enjoy looking after their guests well.
Cons: Nothing. The rest of the staff are very good, especially Majid, and have excellent relationships with the proprietors. However, the experience would not be quite as special if Yannick and Collette were not there- usually they are. They are not very knowledgeable about the local area. I liked the fact that Yannick and Collette do not speak English because it made me practise speaking French.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very nice setting (building and gardens), very good service, in particular the couple running the place is extremely friendly, excellent dinner
Cons: Mattresses were really hard; some amenities e.g. shampoo would have been nice in this price category.
