I love this boutique hotel. Location is so peaceful & beautiful view of the wine country. The restaurant is magnificent . Fantastic breakfast & Great dinner. Fantastic wine list. It's only 5 minutes away from the town of Epernay . I truly can't wait to come back & stay @ this lovely boutique hotel. I like everything .
Very good service for the very modest price. Excellent situation, kind and carefull staff, good breakfast. Most possible comfort (hear dryer, wifi) for the small family provincial hotel. no
Value for money. Central location.
convenient location, good breakfast, clean typical old style french hotel, no frills room was small but adequate for the needs of a few nights stay.
The location was fantastic, great restaurant wonderful staff.
Comfortable room, good location, tasty smell of croissans in the morning In the morning could hear our neighbours leaving their room.
The staff were friendly and helpful and that added to the quiete position and pleasant room. The restaurant was not open and this meant a walk to the Campanile where the service was very slow and the prices were a little high.Theapproach is a little scruffy.
Simple hotel in superb location for Champagne tasting
It makes a nice change to be greated in such a friendly manner.
Hotel manager was very helpful and freindly, he spoke good english. The food was very good and lots of it Its location in the commercial centre was a bit of a first sight dissapointment
Good food, clean room, comfortable beds and very pleasant staff. No
It was clean and conveniently situated. The staff were not helpful.
Very friendly staff, We had to leve very early, so no breakfast facilities yet, therefore the staff gave us sandwiches and coffee in the evening before. Thanks for that.
the rooms are getting to be in need of refurbishing
Comfort of room, parking, free minibar and a varied choice at breakfast. Restaurant closed for renovations, sinage very difficult to read at night. No bath mat.
Effecient, friendly staff. Basic, clean and comfortable hotel. Ideal location for stop over in Reims
Old dirty rooms! Too noisy Douche was not working well, wc had to be repaired
Clean, modern & well maintained hotel. Free Wi-Fi connectivity was a pleasant surprise! None.
The shower in one of the rooms was defect.
Excellent staff, service and facilities. The buffet breakfast was a real highlight of our stay! We would definately stay there again.
Helpful staff, excellent location. I enjoyed my stay
Very friendly staff on the front desk. We were upgraded to a superior room secure parking was directly behind the hotel and included in the room rate Breakfast was not included and cost 16 euros pp which I find expensive. I expect breakfast to be included as it was on our previous nights stay in an excellent Italian hotel. The restaurant was also expensive the menu overly fussy. We chose to eat out and found excellent restaurants very nearby. The hotel restaurant didn't appear to be well patronised
Excellent stop over choice in the centre of town with secure parking. Warm welcome, comfortable and well equipped room. Outstanding meal in the one star restaurant ( the adjacent bistro also looked like a great choice)
Very big and luxury rooms and very friendly staff.
Staff very welcoming and helpful. We just needed an overnight stop and were very tired after 7 hours driving so were pleased to have a comfortable room to stay in. Bathroom far too small! There were 3 of us booked in (adult and 2 children) but only 2 towels were provided
Proximity to Exhibition centre was good. Breakfast choice was good Room smelt smoky. Bathroom too small
None No plug in basin, Head came off Cold tap in basin, En suite door faulty, unable to open window fully, need I go on?
The hotel could have been a bit cleaner.
TV was ok. And the breakfast definitely for sleeping only. The driving instructions on booking.com were really lousy. Remember to google your way here or get a gprs
Location was excellent for break in journey on main route south through France.Good value for money. Bathroom a little cramped but sufficient for overnight stay
As we only used this hotel for a one night stop-over,on our jounery to Germany, and on our return journey. It was fine. The sink was a bit small and had no plug.
cheap rooms too small and hot
Good powerful showers, comfotable beds
Friendly staff exc room/bathroom
Efficient, clean room, nice breakfast room, evcellent information about the city and its restaurants a bit difficult to find in the dark ...
modern, spacious room
The owners were very helpful and kind, and with a sense of humour. There was internet in the rooms. there was all the information needed to visit the area, so we did not need to go to a tourist office. It was a pity there was no bar, or at least a possibility to buy something to eat in the evening, even though it was just a snack. Nevertheless, they tried to remedy that by putting coffee and tea facilities in the rooms. So that was very nice.
Lovely welcome with lots of advice about where to eat and how to work the excellent shower! We could buy a bottle of wine... much appreciated. Excellent breakfast - huge variety of food including a brilliant egg boiling machine.
The service and staff attitude-the room and facilities A kettle would be good to make tea
Great value for money. We used it as an overnight stop travelling up from the south and it is fairly easy access from the motorway. The buffet breakfast is very good. The room was good especially the shower room and the kettle in the room was very welcome. It's a pity they don't have a restaurant as it was a very wet night and we had to drive into Chalon but we knew this, and did plan to walk, if it hadn't been for the weather.
The innkeepers were incredibily friendly, helpful and proffesional. Clean to the extreme. Like a Dominican nun. Breakfast was the best. They thought of every detail when preparing the menu and presentation. The inkeepers take pride in their property and take innkeeping to a higher level. I travel extensivley and take delight and admiration when I come upon proffesionals who embrase their trade.... could not find one because it does not exist
The welcome was excellent. The Proprietor did everything she could to accommodate us and provide us with all the info and comfort we required. Rather a long way from the centre on first visit. Easy to find after that.
Friendly helpful staff who spoke good english nothing
I wouldn't consider this a 3 star property, however, location and staff were great.
Location Cheap, thin bath towels. Very, very small rooms for the price. Staff spoke limited English, but helpful. Charged for breakfast even though we didn't eat breakfast. Parking fees.
Very charming bed and breakfast hotel - reminded us of the film Chocolat! Had a quad room for a couple and two young adult daughters which was spacious with opportunities for discretion; it was beautifully and imaginately decorated. Breakfast was also very nice and the hotelier charming.
The room and bathroom was decorated to a very good and pleasant standard. The welcome was pleasant and friendly (you ring the bell of the coffee shop to enter). Breakfast (included) was most pleasant, with cereal and delicious bread, cakes (baked by Caroline) and home-made jams. An unusual but very pleasant stay. Could only find on-street (payable) parking, but it was close.
Very welcoming owners and fascinating decor.Breakfast was well presented and varied with home made products. We stayed on a Saturday night, but proximity street parking might be a problem during the week.
very friendly owners
Everything! Friendly welcome, nearby parking, beautifully decorated room, wi-fi, good breakfast... we used this as a stopover on our way to southern France and would recommend it to anyone!
Very close to Avenue de Champagne
Close to town.
Situation Bed was hard
Excellent helpful staff but facilities were a bit poor compared to other Best Western hotels and i don't think this was fairly reflected in the price.
in the central of the city no, good value for money
Convenient for walking to Champagne houses, air conditioned. We wanted to have a little picnic in the breakfast room/bar one evening, buying champagne from the bar and we were not allowed to, as "someone else in the bar might not like it". There was no one else in the bar and it was already around 8 pm. The breakfast was way too expensive, 12 euros, and all that was offered was pastries, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee/tea.
Very good location and easy parking. Helpful staff. Bathroom rather tatty and cheaply fitted. Loo ridiculously jammed up against the wall. We were overcharged for breakfast owing to their confusing system.
Close to town centre and ease of parking (may be more difficult in summer - although large pay carpark opposite hotel)
Close to the centre of town and hotel staff very friendly, rooms were clean and perfect for what we needed. There was no parking at the hotel, but there is a large car park that you have to pay for outside. I thought this should be included in the price.
Friendliness of the staff No parking facilities Room tired Toilet faulty Bathroom too small and shower screen inadequate
Polite and friendly staff, good resturant, and a very good price
Easy to find, friendly welcome.
Enjoyed the selection of food in the restaurant. Breakfast was ample. Bathroom was a bit cramped.
Friendly staff, good value for the money.
The lady receptionist was first class and spoke excellent English, but the rest of the staff did not come anywhere close to her standard of helpfulness. The rooms were very average. The hotel is adjacent to the main road, and next to the bus/coach terminus, and is thus fairly noisy at times. The food was no more than adequate, even eating a la carte.
it is what it says it is - a family run auberge - trying hard to make customers feel welcome. The food was of good quality but wines seemed a bit expensive.
Friendly staff and excellent restaurant Poor shower head facilities (ie not fixed) made for a less than happy showering experience (rooms 44 and 45)
The hotel was in a very good location and easy to find. The staff were friendly and it was clean. A good breakfast was otherwise spoiled by UHT milk.
We have used this hotel for the past 20 years and have always had very good service and a comfortable room. Dinner is always very good except on Sunday when the restuarant isclosed. They have an area beside the bar which is never open.If you want refreshments you have to use the public bar.
Conveneint location for my trip. Comfortable room with slightly cramped shower room rather like the ones on overnight ferries. Dining room unfortunately closed on Sunday evening although the hotel did send email to warn me.
Very welcoming, good ambience, good meal, comfortable room with all facilities. Close to autoroute with good signposting.
What a lovely hotel in a super location and easy access. We loved the inner courtyard garden and spent time there when we first arrived. Room was excellent, spacious and clean. Had a very good meal in the restaurant, staff very helpful with the menu. Breakfast choice a bit limited but overall a good place to stay. Lots of secure free parking. No, would thoroughly recommend and return again.
Friendly and helpful staff. Good quality food and excellent service in the restaurant. Conveniently located and easy to find. A bit expensive
Great family room with unique seperate room for the teenagers over the master bedroom. Great food and attentive staff Breakfast was basic and coffee machine was not working properly but these are minor gripes.
The hotel is a most pleasant site, with excellent parking, a delightful restaurant with good food and service with modern comfortable rooms. The owners have been most considerate in making the visit a pleasant experience - we could not find fault with anything.
Efficiently run with good restaurant. Breakfast was poor and poor value - insufficient choice of meats - only ham on offer. Breakfast should have been included in the room rate. Breakfast room rather canteen like..
A modern hotel with rather charming decor. Marvellous location for touring the Champagne area. Our room was well appointed and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent and the food gourmet. A little close to a busy road.
Quiet, comfortable bed, modern shower, easy to find close to autoroute.
This was just an overnight stop on our way to Evian
The staff were outstanding and the restaurant was excellent (service also first class. A good size room with a large bed. Good location for exploring the area from and a good stopover when in transit. Average breakfast, but good value. Fresh coffee would have been better than from a machine.
The rooms were a decent size and the price of rooms was quite cheap. It was handy to have a carpark for hotel guests. Very difficult to find. Lacking in basic things like a map of the area. Room not cleaned during the day. It had the feeling of a hospital rather than a hotel.
Resonable price for a night on route to holiday. Clean with comfortable beds and nice dinning area. The kitchen did not have any equipment! We had to buy plastic untensilks at the supermarket and make a picnic! A kettle and some kitchen equipment would have greatly improved our stay.
Good value for the money. Wi-fi all over the hotel. Good parking possibilities.
The receptionist on duty on arrival was so charming and so apologetic for the difficulties everyone has in finding the hotel (lack of signage - the Town Hall is to blame). The receptionist on duty on departure tried to charge me more than my booking confirmation said for the room, on the grounds that we'd had a bigger room than we booked - how were we to know that? I won though.
Very generous accommodation for the price. Clean, quiet and very modern. There is no map available or directions; not on Sat Nav because development not yet completed. Had to go to Tourist Info office in Eperney and ask. Strangely there is no stand-up shower facility in an otherwise modern bathroom!
Good clean and modern hotel with friendly if hard pressed staff (see below).Good room and facilities and convenient location Appalling road signing-ie none Disastrous breakfast arrangements which left us with no bowls, cutlery orange juice or choice of food despite numerous requests to the hard pressed member of staff serving.Ended up a rip off for us as we didnt get a proper breakfast at all.Avoid it until they get this sorted.
Reception very good, rooms clean n comfortable, we enjoyed this hotel Directions were poor, that said, I feel that I'm at fault as I simply didn't get the map/directions before I left home - simple really!
Clean, new facilities, convenient. Good bed - firm. Good value for money. (Excellent for Epernay) The fire doors were so tight & stiff that when opened they banged shut again. My room was right next to the fire doors, so they banged closed throughout the night.
The hotel was in a good spot to get back on the autoroute. It was not difficult to locte the hotel. he staff were very pleasant and helpful. It was very complicated to unlock the door. There were no facilities provided for babies and they had said to bring our own cot. We did this but were put on the first floor which meant we had to carry everything up and down the stairs.
Directions to the Hotel were completely wrong. They ended up a mile from the hotel.
Excellent hotel, one of the best in the Campanile chain that I have stayed in. Evening dinner was good and the breakfast excellent.
The location was maybe not the best but the hotel was good value and clean. The hotel also a restuarant that was great, good value well cooked meal. There was also a supermarket next door to buy any supplies.
It was conveniently located for our needs Grey towels and thin sheets and dark grey face flannels
Comfortable room, ensuite a bit dated. Nice restaurant. directions to hotelwere not clear enough
The usual friendly and helpful staff, clean accommodation and free secure parking. Standard always good, but some of the bathrooms in the Campanile chain now need a rethink and refurb.
Practical easy acces from Motorway, clean practical room no
Excellent breakfast Room was booked for 3 adults. There was a pull-out mattress under one of the beds, but there was hardly any space to put it in. There were only 2 set of towels for 3 people.
The food was very good indeed and the surroundings were sublime being set on the lake at Nantua. In that context it was good value. Room was a bit basic and the bathroom looked tired and ready for a facelift. Mattress had about lived its life and needed replacing.
The rooms and facilities were excellent Difficult to locate reasonable restaurants in the vicinity
Clean rooms Rather 3 than 4*. Breackfast not included. Restaurant to expensive.
The feeling of being surrounded by beautiful things.
Staff very friendly & helpful, room very functional, however no duvet. The hotels decor was a bit 80's.....
Excellent reception, even changed rooms because my mother had limited movement, what more can one ask. The rooms were adequate for short stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent pettie dejournee.
Comfortable bed and near Campanile Hotel restaurant which was open whereas the restaurant adjacent to the hotel was closed. No plug in washbasin. Room was small and had no hot drink making facilities. Insufficient breakfast choice towards end of allocated time.
friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
Clean Parking good Too far from the town
Value for money. Good budget hotel for overnight stay Taxi required to town centre
ir was quit and the room was very nice small but effecient enought because it had lots of space to store your luggage and the owner took pride in the decor of the place it was on when we arrived it was self serve we were lucky that someone was there to give us the code to get in because we didn't have a cell phone being international travellers however it worked out ok. in the end or give the code when you give the confirmation on line
Good service, friendly, very clean and tidy, warm atmosphere, excellent value for the money. We were only given 1 towel although we were 2 in the room . All the rest was fine
I stayed again on my return journey, without booking, no problem finding a room. Whereas Booking.com would have you believe that there is a shortage of available rooms,
The location was excellent - easy to find and only a short walk into the town centre. If was good to have onsite free parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room was very dim and there was little natural light, however as we were only there for one night this was not an issue
good quality/ price ratio, good location, very modest but there was everything needed for one night sleep.
Short walk to the Avenue de Champagne Resturant closed Sunday evening
Easy parking. Quiet. Good location for moving on. Tea-making facilities: unusual in France! Good fair price for quality of provision. Nothing.
We were impressed with the location and condition of the hotel particularly as it was priced affordably. No complaints. Everything met our expectations, particularly as it was affordable and presented well.
The bed was a true double (Queen, actually) rather than the two singles pushed together which is more the norm in France. We were not expecting a standard Australian/American motel but that's what it was.
The Hotel is in a perfect position to tour the Champagne region. Close to Epernay and Reims and surrounded by vines. The new retaurant in the Hotel was excellent, very good value for money in an expensive area. The location for us was perfect, it is however on a busy roundabout. The rooms at the back are better facing away from the road.
The new restaurant was very good and food excellant. Room basic and clean, all you would want for an overnight stay.
Good air conditioning and shutters to make the room totally dark. Free parking. The room wasnt made up when we checked in but we were a little early so thats understandable and they cleaned it straight away. It was a bit far from Epernay but it was the only thing available as there doesnt seem to be enough accomadation in this area.
Easy to find and within easy reach of Epernay and the surrounding area.Very helpful staff Despite No Smoking signs , the previous occupant smoked heavily as bedroom no18 smelt of tobacco smoke. Fitting smoke alarms would eliminate smoking in rooms.
Practical, beds comfortable and bedding was of good quality, cleaning was excellent, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryer, dining area pleasant, convenient location Breakfast was OK, but croissants weren't fresh . When busy the buffet was not restocked quickly, not many restaurants available within easy walking distance
Covenient to major roads, making it easy to find. Good breakfast buffet. Some of the items on the restaurant menu could have been better.
The freedom in a way to make use of the facillities The hight of the construction of the corridors was too low.
Nice location Confusion over payment, already paid to Expedia in April, hotel insisted we pay on leaving, have contacted Expedia already.
Convenient location. Basic but very adequate facilities.Sound restaurant at site, friendly staff.
Friendliness, location, ambience. No tea or coffee facilities in room. Very slow wifi connection
Very comfortable Noise from other guests arriving back 2am
Good breakfast Room did not seem finished (after renovation?) a lot of little things were missing that you would normally expect, like hangers for your coats, vanity light.
The hotel is located in the centre of town. Very near the big champagne houses. The staff is very friendly and tried to arange a visit at a small champagne-house. The air was very dry in the room, so we had to sleep with the window open.
The Jean Moet is situated in the quaint central area of Epernay. It is a short walk to the best restaurants and champagne cellars in Epernay. It serves a simple yet enjoyable breakfast, and is impeccably clean. We had booked a standard room and were disappointed by its size. Definitely worth the 20 euros more to book a superior, which was significantly larger. The bathroom door was a sliding door, much like what you would see in a dressing room, so the privacy level was next to zero. Meanwhile the staff was not on point in telling me what champagne cellars were open on the off-season (even though the hotel was obviously totally booked even during the off season to visit the cellars... did they really not know Moet&Chandon was closed on Saturdays?). Lastly, there were problems with the hot water in our room, twice. The reception compensated by comping our two days of breakfasts.
