10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was beautiful and spacious. Quirky too!
Cons: Room breakfast and staff were great
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely building, swimming pool was great. Staff very helpful.
Cons: St Brieuc. Walked into the town and really didn’t feel comfortable and this coming from me, a Nuneaton/Coventry native, is saying something . Lots of beggars early morning/late evening. I was stopped and asked for money on two occasions. Few groups of young men hanging around. Lots of empty shop units, some boarded up.. Historic area better. Saw two young women walking being cat called - it’s 2019.. Hotel parking not easy to find either.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful rooms, great facilities and extremely comfortable. Best hotel by far in saint-Brieuc
Cons: There’s nothing not to like
7.0 Good
Pros: Booked hotel mainly because it had a pool and gym facilities. Breakfast was fabulous and staff very accommodating. Our room was comfortable.
Cons: We booked a standard room, however, because of this we were not given bathrobes to go to the pool, apparently only executive rooms have bathrobes which did make us feel like second class citizens, a little bit “them and us”! situation. Because we didn’t have robes when we entered the leisure area it was obvious we only had a standard room!! Our evening meal was average except for the price!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beds extra comfortable, total quiet and calm even with hotel full. Most restful. Exceptionally clean.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was an amazing location - the staff were so helpful and polite - the room was superb
Cons: Nothing absolutely

Pros: Old farm that has become a full-time 'Agriturismo' developed by David, the next generation of the family owner - very nice guy, consciously trying to reduce environmental footprint of the business, and protect and encourage nesting House Martins under the eaves of the farmhouse

Pros: Madam Benedicte went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She looked after my elderly father. Such a beautiful house.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property. The lady running the place was very friendly and accommodating. Great one night stay, would definitely go back again.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming house, charming hostess
Cons: we had difficulty finding the house at first
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The building is a genuine Empire manor house which has kept all of it historic features with all modern facilities one would expect and a lovely garden. The hosts have a real sense of hospitality and were extremely kind and helpful. Breakfast was homemade and delicious.
Cons: nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: La Maison de Benedicte is a period property full of charm and character. Benedicte herself is very welcoming and made us feel at home instantly (she speaks some English but it helps if you have some French). We stayed in the studio at the bottom of the garden - a comfortable renovated former servant's house, where we appreciated the self-catering facilities. The breakfast is excellent - an assortment of bread/ croissant, home made jams, cheese, yoghurts plus home made "far" (a Breton cake) and fresh eggs from Benedicte's hens. Benedicte also gave us plenty of tips for places to visit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic place. Lovely host. Made us feel so welcome. Recommended a great place to eat. Couldn’t have done more for us. We will be back.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: A magnificent old building that oozes atmosphere. Lovely breakfast including homemade jam made from the fruits of garden and fried eggs from the chickens! I'd stayed here a couple of years previously, and I'd definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Nice clean room and friendly staff.
Cons: Unfortunately the restaurant was closed and we couldn't get an evening meal. Had to go to the local McDonalds instead!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very helpful, patient with the lack of my French skills. We took advantage of the offer to use the Spa, which was lovely after travelling all day.
Cons: No kettle in the room :)
4.5 Okay
Cons: Strong stink of smoking in the bedroom, despite requiring and requesting non-smoking facilities- cigarette butts scattered in flower bed outside and below the room. Complaint to reception yielded no satisfaction. Direct request for reduction in price, as alternative room was not available, was met with a blank refusal. Receptionist offered to phone previous occupants to give out to them! Also, fire-fighting equipment missing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Spotlessly clean. Very warm and helpful welcome- the bonus was an excellent restaurant next door
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Restaurant was shut next door
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Modern, fresh building. Big room, very good beds, silent airco, friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast.
Cons: Location is not very cozy.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel
Cons: The restaurant
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and helpful...Room was large and very comfortable...Nice breakfast in the morning ..Very relaxing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Bed very comfortable the staff are very friendly and can speak English if that is helpful to you. The hotel is about an hour from the Roscoff ferry so a convenient stop over either for the early or afternoon sailings. It is well out of the town so you cannot walk to other restaurants, the one next door which is highly rated is not open on a Sunday. This is not apparent on the Booking.com reservation form until after you have booked. but we were directed to a lovely restaurant at a beach nearby - the receptionist even booked ahead for us!. it was about a 12 minute drive. Very good we would stay again.
Cons: There was a slight amount of disturbance from a lorry delivering to the neighbouring restaurant at 7 in the morning but we had had a good sleep. As above the restaurant mentioned on the website when booking is closed on a Sunday. Only told on Booking.com after you have reserved the room
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is modern with excellent rooms. We paid a bit extra for a better room and the room was fantastic. Next to the hotel is its partner restaurant which is excellent and value for money and excellent food. There is also free parking. The hotel is locared in a recently built commercial area but it is central and within a few minutes you are viewing spectacular sea scapes. Just down from the restaurant was an Americal themed eatery where we bought breakfast and a takeaway roll for lunch, excellent choices with fabulous cakes.
Cons: Toiletries in bathroom and a safe in the room.
Chateau De Bonabry - Yffiniac - Building
5
8.9 Excellent (163 reviews)

Set in a 16th-Century seaside castle, Château de Bonabry offers B&B accommodation just a 5-minute walk from the beach in Hillion. The property includes a large garden with century-old oak trees and Saint Brieuc is a 15-minute drive away. A choice of restaurants can be found a few kilometers away along the coast. Additional features include free WiFi and free private parking on site. Lamballe is a 20-minute drive away and Golf de la Crinière is a 10-minute drive from the castle. A hiking path starts from the property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful wonderful place to stay, and the most charming hosts, and very understanding towards tired cyclists. Best breakfast of our trip. The dining room in the chateau was beautifully set out and the food was very plentiful and very fresh, and served with charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful grounds, rooms and hosts Charming hosts who really made an effort to speak with us despite our poor French
Cons: Hard to find - no signage in the town... Had to pay in cash Would like to be able to lock the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Historic chateau, beautiful garden, charming hosts, in walking distance to the bay. Very clean and a lovely breakfast. Kids and dogs loved it.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The chateau is spectacular. A bit rundown, but the owners are working at catching up with the inroads of time. The feeling is a bit of declining grandeur. The property has extensive grounds, rose gardens, a short walk to the beach and is surrounded by fields and forest. Do not expect urban surroundings. This is a rural property, but a ten or fifteen minute walk would bring you to the village of Hillion. Take some time to wander around the grounds. The chapel is memorable. The hosts are delightful; personable, full of local knowledge and free with advice and assistance. Breakfast was the same every morning, but the fresh egg and warm crepe were a nice addition to the usual continental fare. The cheese plate is wonderful. Our room was huge. Our private bath, down the hall, was also huge, with a whirlpool tub as well as a shower stall.
Cons: This is not a dislike, rather a caution. The chateau was built in the 16th century. That is to say that it has been in use for a long time. Over the years there has been some wear and tear. For us that adds to the charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was plentiful. The grounds are wonderful. The room amazing. Very authentic. The owners of the château are very pleasant and make you feel at home.
Cons: We had a GPS but nevertheless a few signs would have helped us find it more easily. It is very removed from the main road and the road to the château is not very obvious. You wonder if it is the right one. There is a fork in the road which confused us and we had to turn around as we found ourselves not at the château itself. No big deal but a little arrow at the fork showing us the way would have help.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We arrived late and received a warm welcome. This is a unique stay. Please think old school French chateau and an emphasis on hunting memorabilia on the walls. The Viscount / Viscountess were lovely genuine people, we were encouraged to use our basic French but got by fine. There is a 10 minute walk to the sea and in the morning we saw lots of waves and a bit of rain. Returning in the afternoon the sea was 'miles out' and the beach had amazing activity - it is a popular place to train / exercise trotting horses and in the distance we realised this was a huge area for mussel farming. It was a wonderful place to end our hols. It felt in some ways like we were part of a film set. Merci Beaucoup to our hosts.
Cons: Ideally we would speak better French or the hosts would have a tiny bit more English.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Superb experience of a genuine family chateau. The owners are delightful. We will return.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Such a special setting with lovely hosts! We enjoyed exploring the Château and its original furniture, walking to the beach through the forest, having diner in the beautiful garden, as well as the tasty breakfast. We absolutely loved our stay in Château de Bonabry and we highly recommend it.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly amazing. Kind owners, huge rooms, stunning garden, superb bfst. Cannot say enough good things - will be a highlight of any trip.
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Like stepping back in time 100 years to an elegant chateau with family charm.
Cons: A bit off the beaten path, but well worth discovering

Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage, and an elevator (lift). Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The entrance to the room was very small (and I am quite slim). There was a desk/working space, but due to the limited space, you could not use it. In the bathroom, there was not enough room to hang the towels. In the hallways it was smelling moist.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Surprisingly good restaurant. Very clean throughout. Central location. Some 6 or 8 parking spaces inside the compound. Modest price for the hotel. Glad parking and room were on the same level. They do have an elevator for upstairs rooms.
Cons: Scale model hotel. Most everything was a bit small. Have never seen before towel racks below knee level! Good sized sink, but almost no room on either side. Had to put toilet kits in the bedroom. Average breakfast with weak and insipid coffee- Cafes Richard have been making mediocre coffee for well over a hundred years. Seats in dining room several inches too low. A very central location if you have business in downtown Saint Brieuc. Sadly, the town looks depressed. There may be interesting things on the outskirts, but center city has little interest for tourists.

Pros: The hotel is well located and has simple, nice rooms with a little sun room attached. The rooms are clean. The owners very friendly and accommodating. The lady cooks 4 nights a week a good simple dinner, I can highly recommend to eat there. Breakfast is also good. The owners were gracious to extend our stay by two nights when our next reservation changed our room booked with two single beds to a room with a double bed.
Cons: There was nothing we did not like

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Employees were extremely olive and helpful. Very good breakfast with lots of choices.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: It was quiet. The facilities were of a high standard. We slept very well and breakfast was peaceful. Part of that I think is that French people do not share their conversations with the entire room. Manners are invariably good.
Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous welcome, great location for us as we travelled by train. Room was large with a huge bathroom. I requested a bath and that was available.Very comfortable bed and pillows. Pros: Staff were wonderful & welcoming. Even though we couldn't speak any French they did not make us feel awkward. Good location near the train station. short easy walk into the lovely centre. Breakfast was lovely
Cons: Our room was on the top floor at the back of the building. Limited headroom so had to watch when getting out of bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Receptionist Anna was really lovely and helpful, especially of places to visit and a very good bistro to go for our evening meal. Breakfast was good with a variety of bread and cakes etc, and again Anna was on hand to ask if we would like freshly squeezed orange juice. The room was clean and comfortable, and 2 bottles of water was on the side.
Cons: Tea and kettle would be good in the room. There was tea and coffee making facilities in the reception though for guests to use.

Pros: Convenient for city centre and free on-site parking.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Hotel is located in the middle of St. Brieuc. Hotel is charming, lately renovated and I got a very nice room, big bathroom a good shower and a designer-sink, no noise from outside. You are in the middle of the shopping area of the town. Old and charming houses, and a new shopping mall. In the garage of it, I could parked my car for 8€ the night. A nice bar/brasserie/cafe is at the corner of the hotel.
Cons: Not the hotel and no blame for the hotel, but never stay there beginning on summer sunday afternoon, all shops are closed, the city is "empty", I couldn´t find an open restaurant beside kepab, pizza, burger & co.... St. Brieuc itself is not a beauty as other citys in Brittany!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location and very accommodating staff.
Cons: One should be advised about working hours of the reception desk prior to booking the hotel as not everybody has access to their mail. The hotel staff were wonderful and let us know about it via e-mail, but I wonder what we would have done if we couldn’t have accessed our email.

Buffet breakfast was good but the scrambled eggs and bacon were only discovered on the last morning. (located away from the main buffet. Easy access to St Brieuc and Plerin.
Cons: The view from the room was the side of a warehouse
5.5 Okay
Pros: Free parking and very nearby Eleclerc and pump station which was very convenient. Apparthotel also located near the interstade highway.
Cons: Pictures shown on the booking.com are very misleading - this place is nowhere NEAR any beach or even water!!! Not sure why to put those pictures. Pros: The rooms were very basic but clean. The pool was also very clean but sadly we didn’t have time to use it! Laurent was charming, breakfast was lovely with a variety of croissants etc, breads, fruit, cereals, jams, cake, cold meat and cheese. It really set us up for our long drive ahead!
Cons: There was a faint smell of cigarettes in the room, which was a shame.

Pros: Great welcome. Firm, comfortable bed. Quiet!! Good shower. Good wifi. Helpful, positive response from owners, who loved having guests. Handy to centre, not too far from station.
Cons: The room was a little small. The window looked out on the terrace and people walked past. No lift, and stairs a little difficult to negotiate. No English.

Pros: The room contained a very comfortable queen bed and pillows. The ensuite bathroom was a little small but spotlessly clean. The continental breakfast was excellent. The swimming pool was delightful and there was a very comfortable terrace and sitting area.
Cons: The room overlooked the street outside and there was a streetlamp outside which was very bright and alight all night. Access to the hotel was difficult because of the road improvement schemes in St. Brieuc.

Pros: Comfortable room, lovely shower, good night sleep
Cons: Breakfast over priced, was informed hot & cold buffet breakfast, nothing hot available!
7.5 Good
Pros: The staff was very friendly & helpful. The room was very clean & quite. Decor was contemporary. Just a short walk to shopping & dining.
Cons: You had to go up a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. Difficult for someone with limited mobility. Had the leave the shower room door open to complete daily grooming. Hotel located in a pedestrian zone but no direction before arrival as to where to park. Booking didn't give the message about the pedestrian zone until AFTER I booked.
6.3 Good
Pros: Room and bed ok
Cons: Due to roadworks, very stressful arriving early evening and finding that the way to parking was blocked and we had to work out how to get to reception - in a different place - when a receptionist had to walk several hundred yards to unlock the barrier. This is the responsibility of Booking. com to advise its customers correctly!

Pros: Excellent breakfast and dinner
Cons: We travelled with family. The rooms for 3 were the same size as the doubles but with an extra bed squeezed in , so rather cramped!

Pros: Lovely and clean hotel with comfortable beds
Cons: Would prefer a kettle in the room but we will take our own next year as already booked to return.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Convenient for my purpose of visiting a nearby customer. Staff were friendly. WiFi was free and fast.
Cons: The rooms are basic (maybe less equipped than an IBIS Budget), with no carpet, no hot drink facilities, no international TV channels. There was no food available on a Sunday evening. If returning to this area I would stay somewhere else, like a nearby town which had more facilities in the immediate area.

Pros: Home feeling hotel, super friendly staff, very good breakfast. 7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfast was fine and lots of choice, we didn't eat there in the evening ,we didn't fancy the microwave meal , eat at a nice restaurant near St Brieuc. handy location fro the coast, quite a dangerous entrance to the hotel when you cross a slip road from the motorway, car coming off at speed!!!, the rooms are a bit over the top with more colours than a rainbow, its a bit like the cathedral in Barcelona.
Cons: Room decor.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money.
Cons: Location is what it is but still a good starting point to visit the area.

Pros: The breakfast was good on both days .
Cons: We did not like the evening food served in jars ! also when we arrived we we given a double bedded room that stank of smoke, the staff were very good and found a nicer room for us , we would be happy to stay there again, as we have done before .

Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The room was small, bathroom was small. hairdryer didn't work, bathroom door didn't lock, restaurant facilities were a joke.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly , and breakfast was fresh , location was ideal.
