Pros: Perfect place to stay for couples. Nothing bad to say, even the home-made jam is stunning. We'll definitely be back and have already recommended it to others.
Pros: Caroline and Mike made their best to ensure we are happy at their place and even more. Lovely surroundings feel like heaven for nature lovers and comfy rooms made the weekend unforgettable for us. Everything was perfect and excided my expectation, from cleanliness to homely atmosphere with bookshelves and gardens making me want to stay there forever.
Pros: Beautiful location. Great hosts, really friendly and welcoming. My husband is vegan and Caroline was very attentive to his dietary needs. The room was beautiful with lovely vintage furniture.
Pros: The room was well equipped and comfortable. The somewhat remote location means it was very quiet at night. Breakfast was great, perfect portion sizes and the owners were very accommodating. Plenty of parking for a property of it's size. Mike was very knowledgable about walking trails in the area.
Cons: The road in is narrow and without many pull offs but that is no fault of the property.

On the edge of the Brecon Beacons, these 4-star stone cottages have free internet and private parking. Blaen-nant-y-Groes Farm Cottages have a scenic location above Cwmbach. The cosy cottages and studios feature heated flag-stone floors and most feature exposed beams and wood-burning stoves. All cottages have a private entrance and a barbecue area with wonderful countryside views. The cottages have a modern kitchen with a cooker and dishwasher, and the studios have a mini kitchenette with a fridge, microwave and hob. All accommodation features a dining area, comfortable leather sofas, free Wi-Fi and Sky TV. Set in 15 private acres, the Cottages are a 15-minute drive from the Brecon Beacons and Merthyr, 30 minutes from Cardiff, and 45 minutes from Swansea and the Gower coast.

Pros: Everything else was great. Staff were lovely and friendly, accommodation is in a great location. Breakfast was yummy. Rooms are very well furnished

Pros: Excellent hotel, room beautifully decorated and spacious with a great walk-in shower. Had an early start so could not have breakfast but staff offered a packed lunch instead. Good selection of bar meals (even though I arrived quite late), friendly and efficient staff, made to feel very welcome.
Pros: Very high standard of decor, especially the ensuite bathroom. Conservatory and grounds were very relaxing. Staff very helpful. Hotel well situated to Aberdare town
Cons: Didn't appear to be WiFi available. No password displayed in room. Top section of bedroom window did not have blinds or curtain which meant that daylight entered room

Pros: Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them, had dinner at the premises and food and service was exceptional, breakfast was very good and very fresh produce.
Cons: when we arrived a few old mattresses in the parking area, not a good first impression considering how good it was inside.

Pros: Greeted with a very warm and genuine welcome. Room comfortably appointed, useful desk and comfortable chair. Pleasant environment, slightly querky but homely. Breakfast amazing! Full Welsh, beautifully laid out on the plate, cooked with passion and very tasty. A fine example of feasting the eye before the palate! I would certainly stay here again.

Cons: Me and my family didnt like it at all as, room was very hot no fan was available but provided a table fan for family on request. No soap, shampoo was provided in toilet and bath. Hot water was not coming in the tab in the morning so my family could not take any shower. Baby cot was provided in a box to open and setup by yourself which we could not do it. Room was not properly cleaned and my family suffering from sneezing the whole night. I am looking for a refund.
