Very centrally located, lovely view, warm room with everything we needed. Apartment in Tromso ideal to make meals and cut down on a few costs and relax when the weather wasn't great.
There weren't really bad points, if we were being picky a couple of the lights didn't work but thats about it.
location and comfort. Strongly advice you to have breakfast at the Egon. Good value, excellent food!
Very functional cozy apartments, great location, good breakfast deal with near by restaurant.
No wireless internet, just a single internet cable in the room.
Big room, friendly stuff. They booked the trips to Northern lights and the dog-sleding.
We arrived earlier than the check in time (15:00) and the receptionist told us she would text us when the room was ready but she never did. We also asked for a wake up call, but they forgot to call us...
We liked the fact that the room had a cooker, fridge and utensils meaning we could keep costs down. The room was very clean, the bed particularly comfortable and we liked not being disturbed by room service around 10 which you get in most hotel rooms as oppose to apartments. The staff were very helpful both prior to and during our stay. The hotel is located centrally providing very easy access to shops, restaurants and attractions. It is also a short trip from the airport (about 15 mins) meaning we could afford to get a taxi there despite very high costs in Norway.
The water from the shower seem to flood everywhere which made the bathroom floor quite slippery. No bathroom mats were provided meaning we had to use towels to mop this up. However, as the bathroom floor seemed to be heated the water did dry very quickly. Internet is provided via a cable provided by the hotel. It would have been beneficial to have wireless in order to connect through our phones as we had not taken a computer with us.
Excellent value considering average Norway prices. My wife and I opted for a slightly more expensive "apartment" in order to get a proper double bed (apparently all "standard rooms" have two singles. Kitchen / self catering facilities were excellent, and meant we didn't have to spend a fortune on extortionate restaurants in the city centre. Heating was good (it was early winter) and the heated bathroom floor was an excellent touch.
Though the 80 Kroner (approx £8) offer for a buffet breakfast at the next-door restaurant (Egon) sounded like a relatively good deal, the breakfast was truly terrible. Get yourself some bread, cheese and reindeer meat from the local SuperSpar and make breakfast in your apartment!
Decoration of the room ok.
Bad choice. No charm, expensive, more than "basic", no breakfast unless you go to the next restaurant and pay for it, ugly street, not very clean.
Very central, comfortable and warm.
A toaster and microwave would have made it perfect as we like to cater for ourselves. We were limited as to what we could cook plus the English love toast.
New & clean. Centrally located and inexpensive
freedom of spacious room, loved the kitchen facilities, great central location, modern feel
