The room that was booked had no view to the outside, it had a view looking into the center of the hotel. Very depressing. Not a place I would ever stay again
Rooftop was nice, it is just next to the beach, central. The toilet has a smell in the room i think because of the pipes, we always stayed close the toilet door, a part of the hotel is still is underconstruction, so it is usual to find yourself in a weird place. stuff smiles always, but for a high standart hotel it is not fair that they try to charge customers as soon as possible as they arrive to the hotel, it should be at the end of the stay, i had a problem with the agency, and the stuff tried to charge me 3times to ensure their payment, the high quality hotels dont care about money, they care about customers. But the stuff just wanted payment as soon as possible in this hotel.
Hotel is very close to the airport for an arrival/ departure night and offers simple, clean, 'good value' accommodation and facilities.
Near the airport , local shops and restaurants and a good place to relax. None
swimming pool and the spa very good better than outside spa,the spa price also not expensive... location poor.....nothing can shop after nite life......
Comofortable destinantion close to the airport for next connection, not so far form shopping mall, service level was pretty good.
Cleanliness of the hotel.Very helpful staff team. The location.
location and atmoshpere No king size bed avaialble although already put my preference.
Clean, lovely breakfast area and buffet, pool recliners always available, no towels left on chairs for hours so no-one else could use like at some hotels. not met at entrance when first arrived.
The hotel staff were courteous. The breakfast - very oily food and not much choice. A lot of flies and coffee hosue is just in front of main road so very noisy.
Location is very central, close to the beach,2 min with Vespa and 5 min walking distance.Shopping, restaurants, and night out places are all nearby as well.Very friendly staff, nice modern decoration, large hotel(was impressed, thought it was smaller).Breakfast is also complete, very international.Nice swimming pools, relaxing. We had to stay 3 days in a Suite before we moved into a standard room and there we had just one problem:the bathroom.Suite was large, nice, quiet, but the bathroom had poor light and the bath tub was clogged(we asked to be fixed, but apparently it didnt help whatever they did). The Standard room was better.Had a large shower and the light was good.
Good for surfers not good for families beach club is a joke they have 6 sunbeds!!' Really noisy no soundproofing
The hotel was very clean and well maintained We booked a king bed and on check in were told they didnt have any - no room for compromise
Very central location, yet still peaceful and away from the hubbub of the street. Great pool. Huge breakfast buffet. Wifi is very intermittent
Excellent facilities, pleasent staff and surroundings and very central location. Excellent breakfast - but could innclude additional selecton of breakfast cereals.
Enjoyable, relaxing, courteous friendly helpful staff, all added up to make a real hastle free holiday.
Location, Facilities, Service, Activities, Staff and friendliness of service. In fact, the hotel's review score in booking.com is not fair. As mentioned it has only one review, I hope from the hotel guests putting his own review and I'm sure Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel will take best score in the world.
The breakfast buffet was delicious. You name it, it was available. Our room was always nice and clean and the added touch of a dog made out of a towel on our 2nd day was gorgeous! The swim up bar was used nearly every day of our stay and the pool was a lovely, comfortable temperature. The pillows gave us grief,, One was not high enough and two was too high, We both had crook necks. That was the only flaw though. I recommend you take your own if you can.
Central location Very old room, smelly at times
Good location for shopping in Kuta. Great pool and grounds, plenty of sunbeds. Current renovations of the restaurant meant there was a little building noise during the day
Relax and no congestion within the hotel No sauna
good location, convenient for shopping and beach walk. internet connection fee is very expensive!
Close to all the action in Kuta and a lot of good places to eat. It is more a family hotel, and not that great a location for single people.
very relaxing we just wanted a few days away from our busy schedule it fitted the bill perfectly could'nt complain
Hospitable staff and good ambience No proper lifts and we have to climb up and down a few staris every time we need to get to our room from the lobby.
Pleasant & close to everything
The happy hour at the pool bar The polution of the air in Bali Kuta (a bit beside the hotel)
It was a family hotel I had no young children so it was the wrong place for me. They gave me keycards to already occupied rooms and I walked in on a half naked man. It was really disturbing for both of us.
The staff in every area were very friendly & helpful. The food was good & well presented at breakfast. We also liked the adults only plunge pool area, as we dont have small children it was nice to be able to have some adult space,it was very relaxing for us after a very stressful year. We have no comment to make as there was really nothing we didnt like.
The comfort of the facilities, the friendliness of the staff and their desire to ensure your stay was at highest level at all times.
Amadea was in a good location on Jl Oberoi (i.e. eat street). The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and modern. We stayed as a group of four in two twin rooms and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool is nice and has a bar for cocktails during the day until 6pm, so great for relaxing with friends. Breakfast is served in a restaurant that is linked to the hotel at the entrance, and had all the options you would expect. Overall a very good hotel in a good location in Seminyak (although not close to the beach - 10-15 min walk away). I put in some dry cleaning in to be done by the following evening which I was assured by the staff would be done before we all went out at 6pm but unfortunately it was not. I had planned to wear one of the items but as it was not back in time this was obviously not possible. This was quite disappointing and I ended up having to buy something else to wear. Other than that one small blip it was a great stay.
The hotel is in need of a slight upgrade but it is big, clean and safe. It was a fair walk to our room from the reception area, but the grounds are really big and well maintained. The pool is also big and great if you have kids with you. If you want to sight-see, renting a car is really cheap, I think that we paid $* U.S so the parking facilities is a bonus. \n \nIt is only a few minutes from the airport, but cabs are so very cheap that it does not make too much diffference where you stay in the area. All-in-all, a reasonably good hotel.
Bad atmosfeer, poor facilities !!!!!
The hotel is able to accomodate the whole familiy in 01 rm (04 pax) The breakfast buffet could do with more varieties , especially local food.
This was my second visit to Alam KulKul, and I completely enjoyed it. The staff are very friendly. It is a very quiet place to stay, even though you are close to the craziness of Kuta. I always book the Lanai room. The lanai rooms overlook the pool and are lovely. I noticed in some reviews that the hotel had bed bugs. This scared me a bit this visit. The good news is, that the hotel addressed the issue and treated the rooms. I talked to the front desk manager about it, and he was very honest and explained that they took care of the situation, bought new mattresses, etc. I saw the fumigation signs on the doors. I was impressed that they owned up to the problem and dealt with it.
Room cleaning started very late in the afternoon.
it was a nice boutique hotel situated in a very good spot on the beach at Kuta. Kuta has become somewhat of a very busy place now much different rom whenI went there 30 years ago. it is now busier and more cosmopolitan. As such it was great to return each day to the peace and solitude of the Alam Kulkul.
The location was fantastic, close to the beach, close to shopping and restaurants but far enough away to get peace and quiet. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodated a request to change rooms because we wanted a double bed not two singles. The hotel is perfectly suited for older couples and families because there are no groups of "yobbo's"
Friendly and helpful environment; welcoming and cosy lauout. They catered for our special vegetarian breakfast very well. Please my name is not dr. Sanderstead but dr. Jain
Staff were extremely friendly
The location is good - only a short walk from the main beach in Kuta, but if you dont want to walk you are in a perfect spot to tant without to much passing traffic. I had to check out earlier than my intended stay, as I had problems with the hot water in my room. It got so bad that I complained 3 times and could not shower or bath if and when I wanted. I eventuallly checked out and went down the road to another hotel for the last week and a half.
cealn, good and freindly staff this is the worst comminication experience i had. Holiday people dont have time to go to reception to connect internet. very very poor service a for 4 star hotel
expensive and appeared to just want to ripped you off, staff response to no in house movies and telephone not working was poor. Room service was poor
Very helpful friendly & honest staff
Absolute perfect location for shopping and close to airport at the same time. Nice dining/bar area. Spa open early and closed late, which is great. Room need refurbishing, a bit oldish, and don't smell nice and fresh. Also, internet is not free. For the price paid, these elements should be reviewed.
The location was excellent if you are on a overnighter in Kuta and want to be close to the shopping We were on the 3rd floor, 6 sets of stairs and no porter to help us get our cases to our room :-(
Excellent location, neat room Rate on the higher side
the spa breakfast
My first time at ramayana and will definately stay again. in the centre of kuta but very quite resort. Some of the tourists were painful. I would go to the pool and people would put there towells on the beds and no people around.they would leave there towell there all day but would go off. I had no where to lie down.the pool areas pretty quiet but no where to relax.
If you like staying in Kuta, this is a nice place, as it isn't located right in the center of Kuta so it isn't too crowded or too noisy. The music by the pool, it is quite difficult to relax...
central location in Kuta, next to the beach (not even 5 min walk), next to restaurants and coffee bars, good facilities, nice and clean rooms, with booking of the executive deluxe category vouchers for SPA and for afternoon tea had been offered, would stay there again during first half an hour after check in hotel staff came 3 times to the room to deliver flowers, welcome letter, and a fruit basket.
I think the location of the hotel is probably the best point. Services are generally good. Breakfast buffet spread is good and it is different everyday. The hotel is however a little noisy, and very crowded during the time I was there. The hotel areas have lush greenery with trees and bushes - love it. Staff are generally friendly and nice, but the check-out process was a little slow. Something I thought could be improved.
Spa centre, private pool, airport transfers including flexibility with chnage of flight arrangements at short notice and staff. the lighting in the vicinity of the day beds area is inadequate for reading in the late afternoon and evenings.
The villas were great, very private, modern and tropical and the private pool was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The main pool was very nice, while the double sunbeds with canopy were very good, the sunbathing chairs were really uncomfortable and couldn't be adjusted. It was also hard to find sunbathing areas as there was lots of shade. The road that hotel is on is very dark and blind corners, so it didn't feel that safe walking home at night so taxis were better.
Friendly staffs, especially Mika. Everyone is very attentive. Villa is really nice and clean.
Personal Service , Professional & very friendly Staff Too difficult to get to the beach.
The best part was the private pools. The whole hotel feels new and contemporary and the rooms are just like the pictures
swimming pool is too small.and airconditation is too noisy to sleep.
The overall environment is good. The room is spacious. The staff are nice. The spa are good. 1. There is still have mosquitoes and fly even already sprayed. But in countryside, I think cannot be avoided. 2. When there is heavy rain, the whole living room will be affected. Some places in the living room will get wet. (even the TV). It may cause inconvenience. 3. During the stay, it is better to book the service earlier. They cannot make the urgent arrangement e.g. 1 or 2 hours before. So in order to avoid unexpectation, better to plan the schedule in advance. e.g. when to do spa, when to go to beach club, when to use the shuttle bus, when to have the BBQ, etc.
The villa is just awesome , great staff very polite. The villa itself is very beautiful & one can relax or enjoy . The menu & breakfast have limited options .
My saty at the wolas was simply superb. Roght from the warm reception of the staff to the comfort of our villas everything went just perfect. The satff were very helpful and did not even hesitate to fulfill all our requests. Even though Bali isalnd as aplace did not really interst me very much it was because of the Wolas that i really enjoyed my vacation. Would definately go back to the Wolas as well as recommend it all those out there looking for a luxusrious and relaxing stay in Bali. Did not like leaving the place.
The staff were always friendly and very efficient. They are also very accommodating and will do their best to ensure that your stay is a comfortable one. I did wish the villa had a spa on site.
Luxurious. Quiet. Totally private. In-room dinner was nice and romantic. Rooms are large enough. Bathroom is well equipped with jacuzzi tab and flexible shower hose. Walking distance to the beach. Very friendly hotel staff. Good advices on sight seeing in the island. Private pool and garden are a bit small for its price. Breakfast was not fresh enough except for Indonesian breakfast probably becasue meals were not cooked indivisually but cooked quite a while before. They have an own car but it can be be utilized for customers more often for going out and coming back to hotel.
The bathroom didn't feel clean and was smelly.
Great service, great staff, well maintained. Japanese touches show in all details. Definitley would return without a doubt. After checkout hotel staff drove us 30 mins north in hotel van to another hotel as my surfboard would not fit in a taxi. No charge.
They upgraded us to a bigger place when we went there and it was great. The Villa is very clean and the staff were all extremely helpful. They bring us breakfast to the Villa every morning and sets it up. The food was delicious and the villa was also very near to the beach by walking.
