We flight during night and arrived at Queensgate Motel at 9am to check when our room will be available (check in is 2pm) To our surprise we were offered room immediately.

How quiet the rooms were and also how comfortable it was. There wasn't as much room in the room that we had than we'd thought but otherwise everything was great.
Maps given out by internet were incorrect map stated the hotel was in the industrial estate had to drive around for 10 mins to find it.
Room was very comfortable, clean and liked the kitchenette and position of motel. Staff efficient and helpful.

The location is convenient for Canberra's airport but I can't think of anything else. I have tried. The service in the restaurant was poor. It took almost an hour to get a steak sandwich - there were 4 of us in the restaurant. Given a choice of two desserts, I was delivered the one I didn't order minus a spoon to eat it with. Tea or coffee wasn't on offer. I was charged more than the price advertised on the website.
We thought it suited our accommodation needs for the purpose of our trip. Was very peaceful. Great to have free internet offered.
Service beyond reproach
It was convenient for us as we were actually in Canberra to attend the War Memorial and didn't want the hassle of staying in the city. We had no milk in our room on arrival. After two calls we eventually received some. We run a B & B in Victoria and we consider this a basic requirement for guests arriving after a considerable journey.

Nice restaurant and the complementary transport to the airport. It is near the airport but far from the city cbd.
The Sofa bed in my room (50) is not good for sleeping. I thought they are bunk beds when I booked the room.
The staff and accomodation made our visit worthwhile The Foxtel reception was very ordinary.
The indoor gardens are spectacular, but could do with a bit of TLC.. The room we stayed in ( Room 16 Executive Suite) was less than satisfactory, The floor carpets,were stained, dirty and worn The funiture was old and dirty,stitching on chair upholstery comeing apart , Curtains were torn away from the runners (requireing us to make temp repairs for privacy) Bed heads were stained and dirty, TV was old with poor reception, handle broken off fridge door ,and replaced with cabinet handle, Bench tops scratched and worn, bath room hand basin cracked fully across basin.On our 2nd nights stay we came back to an unmade (unserviced) room, (requireing my wife and myself to make the beds tidy the room and source extra towels for our 2 kids from the night reception staff. (Our kids opinion on this room YUK)...
It was clean. If you need a dark room to sleep at night don't go here. Meals were less than satisfactory and dinner was overpriced for what was offered.
The rooms are very clean and very comfortable. The hotel is really very good value. Staff at reception were most helpful
That the Hotel/Motel was located close to a shopping centre so that you could purchase an evening meal from the mall or restaurants or the soccer club without having to drive real, far after an interstate flight.The staff were friendly but not attentive to guests needs. 1.The walls are not very insulated from noise i.e from ajoining rooms and you can hear guests very clearly talking to each other. I had a few young guys running amok in their rooms the nite I stayed and actually felt as a single business travellor quite unsafe.2.The breakfast dining room could be updated very basic buffet and set up!. Room was very icy in the morning no heat provided for guests. 3. Not informing guests straight up that the dining room of an evening is not operational i.e when first making a booking.That would win brownie points in honesty.4. The information guide needs revampimg/updating very shabbily presented for guests for the price compared to other places I have stayed in NSW.

The service appartment was well equiped, value for money, convienient location, in regards to our reason of being there in Canberra ( sports institute ) air conditioning was noisy & took a long time to heat. Appearance of air con was very old looking
access to event at institute of sport staff were fairly causal about us being there no real interaction with us
