Friendly Staff/Magnificent views from balcony and lovely room
Relaxing rural setting, excellent proximity to Cadi Moixero natural park. Hotel is furbished to a high modern standard - suit young couples/groups/families. Staff could have smiled a little more!
quiet hotel the breakfest was very poor
site seeing and walking
Spacious rooms, beatiful decoration
All rooms are designed, ours has a view of the valley, comfortable, clean. Staff are nice.
We just had great time in the hotel. The staff were so nice, they just tried their best to make us enjoy our stay, and we did very much. It is not the chepest hotel in the area but you get great value for the money so it was just faboulous. Very recommended. Well, the selection and service in the breakfast room could be improved. The staff try to give the hotel a cozy, family-style ambiance and in the breakfast room that translated to a slow service. Some items were missing for a long time (plates, milk, napkins, coffee) and we had to ask for these several times. Overall the experience in the hotel was excellent.
A new hotel, nicely desighned, comfortable, quiet. Staff very nice and helpfull. The Dolcet familly, who owns the hotel and the wonderful restaurant attached to it,are exceptionally kind and warm.
Great Hotel in lovelly setting with good food. Some English speaking staff but all helpfull. Rooms and public areas clean and well presented.
Location convenient to Aiguestortes Nat'l Park access point in Espot. It is obvious the proprietor takes pride in his restaurant. The food was excellent and the staff was pleasant, attentive and professional. Easy to find location right on the c13.
the bed was of a very good quality. The third bed was in the same room, but there was a wall in between: a very good idea not really: the food in the restaurant wasn't that good. Breakfast was ok. We would recommend this hotel for a few days but not for more.
Fantastic value for money. There are few places to stay in Sort and this appears to be the best all round. The restaurant is also extremely good value. This is definitely a location for a base to go canoeing, rafting etc as opposed to a luxury holiday though. Interesting stop over in the pyrenees as this is real spain due to the low volume of tourists,
The room was spacious, bathroom was ok. Very impersonal, bare minimum comfort and decoration. Not handicapped accessible.
big rooms, espeically the room for 4 was good. Good exposure
Nice view of the river from the room. Large TV in room. Good bathroom. Air conditioning didn't work. Bed was hard and uncomfortable.
Good run hotel
We were the parents of the Groom at a wedding held at the hotel. The wedding party was in the name Adam.It was a superb event and the whole experience was excellent.I would like to congratulate and thank the organisers. The service at breakfast was slow.It seemed as though there was not enough staff and sometimes the orders were misunderstood. We did have the same on one occasion at lunch.
On a 2 1/2 week driving tour through Spain & France this was by far the absolute best hotel. Incredibly inexpensive for the quality. Large beautiful room with great view of mountains. Good size indoor swimming pool with suana and gym. Excellent breakfast included. Ask about senior citizen special. Two min. walk to downtown. Very safe. Absolutely nothing to dislike.
Great location with a spectacular view of the mountrains. The room was too hot and the air condition did not work at all.
Hotel is conveniently located in proximity to the ols section of the city. Has a parking garage.
the beautiful sitting space in the hotel and the truly delicious breakfast
the atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant and relaxing. The selection of foods for breakfast was excellant
relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful use of space in the lobby and a nice place to sit for a few drinks before dinner. The food in the restaurant was excellent and buffet breakfast varied with local dishes. Very central to the town centre. Staff helpful and friendly. When booking on internet it stated parking free but it cost 8euros per day. But parking was secure and internet was free in room and lobby.
The facilities are excellent - located near the cathedral and the museum, and very well renovated and maintained. I like the good quality standard of the Paradors and no discount is made here upon it. The Internet worked very well (but only in the lobby) and the swimming pool access is free. The price of the restaurant is expensive, and I find 15 Euros per person for breakfast to be excessive. The Internet connectivity did not work in the rooms (but worked very well in the lobby).
Location, price, friendly staff
Peaceful with fantastic views. Warm hospitable host made us feel at home immediately. Enjoyed a bottle of local white wine on d terrace of my upper room. A gem of a place. Absolutely nothing!!!
What a find. This hotel is gorgeous. Very peaceful in a very small village.the owner could not do enough for you. Although it is a little hard to get to it is well worth it. Stunning views, fresh air, peace and quiet. As part of a trip around france and spain this was one of the nicest hotels we stopped in. Great breakfast as well. lovely room with balcony and great views Long trip up mountain road and then very narrow through village but just take your time and do it in daylight.
Peace, tranquility, spectacular views, and the sympathy and cheeriness of Senora, the Owner.
The location was splendid, the hotel very chaming and the staff were very accomodating -- they even offered to make a meal for us one evening, which was delicious.
The views from the windows, romantic place
Excellent, peaceful location, wonderful views, well equipped rooms, friendly owners.
Fantastic welcome from owner. Amazing location. Very traditional catalonian in every possible way. No English TV channel. No minibar/fridge in room.
Very friendly welcome. Simple but very good and reasonably priced evening meal on request with choice of wines. Comfortable well appointed en-suite room. Own terrace and stunning view. A bit of an unexpected steeply climbing drive up and through narrow village streets to get there but worth it! Not for novice or nervous drivers.
Very friendly owners. Fantastic view from the balconies. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a rustic way with every detail thought through. The drive to the village take an experienced or at least a not too nervous driver.
a beautiful landscape, rooms / interior are new and very clean, lovely bathroom, wonderful coffee and perfect service
Excellent hotel - great facilities for children (all free of charge). Room could have been a little larger but was clean and and fresh and the air condition was good. Food was better than we expected (even had roast potatoes one night!) We left early (before breakfast was served) for our flight home and the receptionist opened the cafe to make us coffees and gave us a (pre-ordered) picnic (& drinks) for the journey home - which again was surprisingly good. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
A budget hotel with facilities for sports and children. We only chose this hotel because of its position on our touring holiday. A large busy hotel with tired furnishings and decor. The room was small, without a balcony and the airconditioning was not adequate. But overall the worst experience of our one night stay was the evening meal that was included in the price. It was unappetising and some of the food inedibe. The hot food looked like it had been left for a long time. The dining room was very dated and depressing, like eating in a cheap canteen. Would have rather found a meal in one of the local bars. The breakfast was a little better, with bread to toast and some hot food. Although the cold chips were disgusting.
A perfect value for money. Excellent location, comfortable stay, tasty meals, clean rooms, pleasant staff. A smell of cigarettes in the non-smoking room...
most problems in communicating with the stuf- u can do nothing if they do not speek English !
There are good facilities for keeping children occupied.
For me, the best is location and the surroundings, together with service and organization, in general Room clening and food would be notably improved
good location, good price
the hotel is very old the W.C stinky the food is minimal
The hotel has been refurbished and offered a good standard of modern amenities whilst still retaining a lot of it's original charm. Our room was large and airy with a clean and very functional bathroom. Breakfast was more than adequate and included red wine although we didn't partake ourselves. Their website probably doesn't do the hotel justice. Being located in the centre there was a bit of noise at night but nothing that kept us awake. I would certainly recommend this hotel not only for it's staff, facilities and charm but also for it location close to the old part of the town which was fascinating especially on market day and the peace of the 1992 Olympic White Water park which was a wonderfully peaceful setting to relax.
Comfortable room for the price No elevator
Very clean and very nice and friendly staff. No
pleasant staff who spoke a little english. parking is difficult and hotel is in a noisy area of town.
the location and building were great, the room was large and light. Staff were friendly the hotel could have made a better effort with breakfast. We feel if it is included it may as well be good, if not dont bother. Needed to ask for more soap.
no elevator, had to carry the luggage up 3 flights of stairs. breakfast was included but nothing much to eat.
Bedroom ok - buffet for breakfast - Car park but (11 euros/day) and the car park is closed from 8pm to 8am... Very poor welcome (unpleasant and disrespectful) - Air conditioning very poor in our bedroom No light in the corridor (difficult to open the door of our room) Breakfast (tables not set..)
Very noisy and poor air conditioning. Very slow reception
Nice breakfast, very helpful staff, cozy atmosphere no wifi
Many hard stairs, no elevator and poor light in the room although the room was after renovating
Delightful staff, excellent food, charming location, very comfortable and spacious room
The spa is very beautiful The wiew is not totaly natural...
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location and overall appearance of the place. The spa was very nicely designed and the food at the restaurant was good. Lovely views from the rooms. Although the spa was well-designed, we were unable to use the whirlpool at night - it was for some reason not heated. Also in the morning the sauna was not hot and the steam room was just being heated although it was well into the hours of operation. We enjoyed the pools but were not able to take full advantage of the spa during the hours it was open. That being said we enjoyed the hotel experience overall and would recommend it.
the professionalism of the staff and their eye for detail was refreshing the price of the Armagnac but I suppose we choose the wrong bottle -))
Excellent attention by staff. Good location to explore area. Very pet friendly. Wide range of wines and superb restaurant. Clean & well appointed rooms. Most enjoyable!
The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff in addition to the sumptuous room, beautiful surroundings and cushy spa facilities.
Great location if you like quiet villages with fantastic views. Hotel nice, people very helpful, food good Finding it ! A gps is very useful for finding the turn-off to the village and the road up the hill is pretty hairy - don't try it with a big Mercedes or anything ! Once in the village, just park up and walk around until you find the hotel itself.
The hotel is set about 5km up a very narrow winding road in a very pretty village in which most cottages have been restored. The scenery is breathtaking although due to its location be prepared to eat in the hotel as the narrow road does not want to be tackled in the dark. The staff were helpful and as we were there during the summer we were able to sit outside and relax with drinks. We were only staying for one night and I could not recommend more than a couple of nights as there is nothing else in the village. However if you like walking and nature it will impress.
the swimming pool the people from the rafting came also in the swimming gpool
Tasteful breakfast, nice swimming pool, quiet environment. It was very hot in our room (under the roof).
location excellent 5 mins to town swiming pool clean good bar. Staff attentive but had to remind of bar order more than once For price no coffee/tea in room. Parking on road and limited
The family room was fantastic as it was like 2 roooms in one. We were in the same room, but the sleeping areas were separated a small corridor (off which was the bathroom) so that there was a bit more space and privacy.
The hotel was good value for money. The room was quite basic but clean and the shower was good. The beds are hard and we only had one pillow each. It's on a fairly busy corner so there is some traffic noise. From early in the morning there were a lot of doors slamming.
Central location Very, very noisy - both from outside (not the hotel's fault) and from the inside - plumbing from room above and corridors. No kettle in room. No air conditioning. Staff spoke nearly no English. Wifi signal present but no code provided.
convenience to tourist sites Service at checkout
Wonderful hotel - the amazing Gaudi style restaurant was a great surprise and a complete delight. We had the family room, which was more like an apartment, and had a huge balcony with great character. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It is just 5 minutes from Sort white water refting centre, and all in all is a fantastic little hotel. Could have done with a few more cooking utensils in the apartment kitchen.
We enjoyed a lot the family atmosphere of the hotel. The staff is super friendly, they treat you as their family friend. The local restaurant is very funky and serves delicious local food. The hotel has been renovated with a lot of taste.
