Pros: Helpful and friendly staff. Nice area of the hotel
Cons: Restaurant nothing special, reheated food.
Pros: Beautiful property, nice rooms, great staff, wonderful local kitchen using some of their own produce. 5 minutes from the Goryachinsk wellness center (kurort) and 20 minutes' walk from the beach, there is also a traditional Russian banya available on-site. Eastern Baikal with its beaches is much nicer than the western shore. To get here from Ulan-Ude, take one of 4-5 daily mini-buses from the bus station on Sovietskaya 1 (it is a 3-hour commute but very worth it for a few days' stay).
Pros: New hotel, good clean rooms, nice staff and 5 minute walk to town center for bus, food etc
Cons: maybe 30 miunte walk to Lake ... but we hired bikes and it was 10min ride
Pros: Bed was amazing! Such a giant. I want a similar one, it's definetely on the shopping list.
Cons: You definitely want to have a car coming there. The lake is 5 min away, but not so much to do in the area apart from swimming. If you want to go anywhere, bring/rent a car, it will be worth it
Pros: Nice location, good food and very friendly staff.
Cons: Location is accessible only by taxi. I think it's priced higher than its value
Pros: The location. Not far from the lake.
Cons: Value for the money.
