Pros: The staff is so nice. Mario showed us around the mountains and explained the local flora. On a second outing to watch the sun set over Cefalù he cracked open a pine cone so we could try the pine nuts! His sister and wife prepare the meals, and they make the most delicious foods for dinner. You pay extra for the dinner but it is a must. Since the property is rather isolated from a town and unlit mountain roads would need to be traveled at night in order to eat elsewhere, it is most convenient to eat at the Casale. However, I would recommend their meals anyway, because you will sample local foods and traditional recipes. The antipasti were the best, with fritters featuring local mushrooms and plants from the backyard. All of the produce used is local. The pastas and deserts, followed by digestives were also outstanding. You can also start dinner while watching the sun set over the hilltop town of Pollina. There are other nice touches, like Mario offering an aperitivo (wine and olives) in the late afternoon. He even made a poultice for my husband’s sore ankle after we went on a hike. Also, it’s a beautiful location! It was also a huge plus to be in the mountains, a change from the rest of Sicilia. It was nice to be a bit isolated but within a 30 minute drive to a town (Castelbuono) and within an hour’s drive of hiking in the Madonie. Look for the Rifugio di Crispi to start the hike. It’s very peaceful up here. We were in the cabin beneath the deck. It was a fairly large room with a mini fridge, so good for spreading out and stretching, etc. not cramped at all! Grazie a Mario e la sua famiglia per un soggiorno molto bello e accogliente nelle Madonie!
Cons: The bathroom was clean, but in the sink there was some mold around the drain. Perhaps it wouldn’t come off on its own. This was not a con for us, but do note you will be staying in a rural area, as the name suggests. You don’t have many options for food unless you go into a nearby hilltop town. But the food at the Casale—both breakfast and dinner—are delicious and filling.
Pros: Everything, location is gorgeous and food is amazing. Hosts are truly friendly and full of good tips and stories. Thanks!!!
Cons: Too short the stay :)
Pros: Everything. Especially the hospitality of host.
Pros: Casale Margherita is situated on a hillside with a beautiful panoramic view of the Mardonie Park, Pollina and the sea. The hosts are very welcoming and the service is amazing. We had dinner at Casale most evenings during our stay and enjoyed homemade local food and wine, which was deliscious. We will deffinatly reccomend this place.
Pros: The warm hospitality and the fabulous cooking of Giula. Also the location was very nice, deep quiet at night, beautiful view on Pollina and good walking possibilities straight from the Casala
Cons: You clearly hear in your room when there are guests in the restaurant
Pros: The location is remote, with a fabulous morning view towards Pollina. The hosts are super friendly and the food is just some of the best food ever in my life. Don’t go there if you don’t plan to eat :))))
Cons: The rooms are just a bit smaller than I expected
Pros: Breakfast and dinner were absolutely amazing. Authentic sicilian food, home cooked and reasonably priced. The view from the terrace where we had our breakfast and dinner was stunning - looking over Pollina, a small town on the top of the mountain across. Parking was easy, directly on the property. It's easy to find the agriturismo, just follow the signs on the road. Our hosts were very nice, we would definitely come again!
Cons: Nothing, would come again.
Pros: A wonderful location with a beautiful view. Warm hospitality. Clean room.
Pros: Amazing location, beautiful landscape, very kind staff, and in general perfect place for peace and relaxation! Highly recommended for nature loving people
Pros: Breakfast Facilities Staff Location Dining at site
Cons: Unpaved access

Pros: The delicious evening meals in the company of the hosts.
Cons: Because we enjoyed sitting outside with a marvellous view and in a garden, we would suggest some cushions for the iron garden seats. We were travelling by train and bus, self driving would make easier travel.
Pros: We could relax here. It is assumed that you will take dinner at the property and it is well worth doing so for an additional cost of 30 euros per person for an excellent meal of local produce including a number of courses wine and liqueur. We enjoyed eating and chatting with our host and other guests. You have the run of the kitchen for breakfast and eggs cheese salami fruit bread and yogurt are supplied for you to prepare your own meal whenever you are ready. If you are die hard cereal fans like us you can supplement this with your own muesli. The old mill and gardens were delightful and there were plenty of places to just sit relax and enjoy the lovely views with a glass of the local wine provided in our room. The property is 40 minutes to Cefalù and even closer to Mistretta, a pretty mountain village with few tourists.
Pros: A beautiful old manor on an olive farm off the beaten path. Luca was a warm and engaging host. We loved eating dinner with other guests (and Luca) around the big dining table. Dinner was very good and the self-serve breakfast was tasty as well.
Cons: Lots of mosquitos (even in late Oct.) made it difficult to spend much time outdoors. A bit tricky to find but well worth it.
Pros: A 400-year old family property that had been an olive mill, this is place is exquisite. The fascinating building, ingeniously converted, is surrounded by beautiful gardens, ancient olive trees, and lovely views of the surrounding mountains with just a peek of the distant sea. The host is extremely welcoming, informative and engaging. Guests are invited to participate in a communal evening meal, which was utterly delicious (better than any restaurant!) and a lot of fun. Breakfast is self-serve in the wonderful kitchen with all the luscious ingredients laid out--another fun opportunity to mix with other guests.
Cons: We had nothing to complain about. though perhaps a better sign at the turn off the road would have been nice. From some of the photos we guessed that dinner would be available, but it might have been nice to know for sure. I'd like Booking.Com to offer more detail about the unique characteristics of really special properties such as this.
Pros: This is simply the best place you could book in Sicily. It has the most amazing grounds that feel so relaxing, with incredible food prepared by a hired chef. It is an amazing experience to eat with the host and other guests, where you are sure to have an amazing time over great food. Breakfast you can take anywhere on the grounds and it is delicious as well. It used to be an olive mill and the grindstone has been converted to an amazing lazy Susan dinner table. You simply can’t go wrong staying here for a few nights. The accommodations are beautifully decorated with original antiques, yet have modern amenities and free bottles of wine in the fridge. The views from the balconies are gorgeous. Don’t miss this place if you are going to Sicily. Perfect home base to go to cefalu for the day, or explore Taormina or Messina ferry boat trips.
Cons: Nothing was wrong. Loved it.
Pros: The dinner experiences and location
Cons: I was somewhat surprised that with Booking.com dinner was not included
Pros: Authentic , great property, treated and renovated with love and passion by their wondernful owners, and placed in beautiful surroundings. A relief for the soul. For the body delicious sicilian food.
Pros: The place was beautiful and clean! Really authentic. The surroundings were lovely and the views were breathtaking! The owner and his father were simply amazing and very hospitable! A top place to stay!!!!

Pros: It is a museum where you are part of the art. Forget about the comfort of a normal room, this is art.
Pros: This is a very funky hotel directly opposite the beach, it has art installations everywhere and they have feature rooms also that are very arty We stayed in a relatively normal room with a lovely terrace overlooking the sea and getting the breezes. A very comfortable stay, would be good to have a little fridge in the room
Cons: Nothing was great
Pros: I hated this property which was a shame because the location was lovely. There were v few plug sockets no tv no refrigerator no bedside lights although lights were available on request but not enough sockets fir them. The art got a min the way of the facilities
Cons: I hated this property which was a shame because the location was lovely. There were v few plug sockets no tv no refrigerator no bedside lights although lights were available on request but not enough sockets fir them. The art got a min the way of the facilities. They claim to be eco but the breakfast that was awful was individually wrapped in enough paper and plastic to cover a beach. The bathrooms were full of plastic curtains cold water and poor showers - not very clean.
Pros: Friendly and relaxing
Cons: The art work
Pros: Breakfast excellent, and lovely location.
Cons: If we'd known that there was art work in the stardard rooms, as well as balconies with sea view, we'd have chosen the cheaper option. This was not made entirely clear. Also, we'd have like more information about the artists who did the rooms, and also ideally a boo about the hotel -- with pictures.
Pros: The sea view
Cons: Beds are bad, room has not a curtain to stop the sun, not frigobar, not television, not telephone in the room or anything else. It's just a place with nice view. Not a hotel room.
Pros: Beautiful location quiet and very friendly staff. Great breakfast
Pros: a unique experience in Sicily. Great concept of individually designed rooms, and guests are encouraged to change them each night. Beautiful location right on the ocean. The staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great.
Cons: There was a snag with my booking.com reservation, since they didn't have a record of it, but luckily they had availability. This might not be a place for everyone because of the quirky feel of the rooms that may sacrifice functionality for design but I enjoyed it. The hotel is starting to show signs of tear and wear, but hopefully it will be spruced up closer to the high season. The Wifi didn't work, but to be fair I didn't ask the front desk to look into it, since I had a Hot Spot device.
Pros: Interesting building, fabulous room with a great balcony with a sea view. Definitely an unusual and enjoyable hotel.
Pros: Loved the craziness. Never stayed anywhere like it. Fabulous concept. Definitely worth a visit
Cons: Bathroom sink...quirky but impractical

On the last day they even invited us for for lunch. During (the tasty) breakfast with handmade cake and marmelades they gave us many suggestions. Perfect time. Thx
Cons: cockroaches in the bathroom...that says it all :(

Pros: The food was an tasteful adventure, prepared, cooked and explained with love & dedication, delicious "Sapori di Sicilia" - simply fantastic!
Cons: The owner did not respect the price of booking. I booked two rooms for 2 nights per 4 persons at 180 euros, no breakfast. We turned up 3 persons. The owner told us that there was a mistake on the price with Booking .com. He gave us a triple room for 220 Euros, and added breakfast(3 cappuccinos and 3 pieces of cake. Payed cash and no receipt given !! P.S. Had to flush toilet with bucket, towels like sandpaper, hair dryer not working, no heating.
