Pros: Lovely owner, very well looked after. Comfortable spacious room. Would definitely stay again.
Pros: The proprietor is very welcoming. She’s a Brit expat. The room had every detail thought of including Kleenex, bottled water, very large towels, magazines, lovely decor. Modern bath with extra drawers and surfaces. However, the bed was small and hard (too) and the pillows both too thick for comfort. A lovely breakfast served in a cute breakfast room. Definitely off the beaten path, but a nice place to stay
Cons: The village is unremarkable and rather abandoned. The bar/resto run by other Britts is quite good and delightfully animated. So you won’t starve!
Pros: The breakfast was homemade in the french style. Room, bed, bathroom ... everything was pleasant, and the silence around the place was a guarantee of a good night's sleep.
Pros: Loved the position of the house and Jane is an amazing host. We felt at home.
Pros: The property was very pretty, the rooms Was spacious, clean, the bathroom was like brand-new, very pretty and simple.
Cons: I was welcomed by Jane the host who was extremely friendly, helped me with a lot of questions about the area.
Pros: Jane the owner was amazing. Goes above and beyond!
Pros: Very friendly host. Typical French style property. Good French breakfast. Tried the local bar for a meal Good food and friendly
Cons: Nothing really
Pros: Clean, comfortable accommodation with a friendly and helpful host who made our stay a wonderful experience.
Cons: Nothing at all. Everything was perfect.
Pros: Jane was very welcoming and introduced me to the delights of Villefagnan, a lovely village. Room very clean and comfortable and good breakfast.
Pros: Homely french style

Pros: Lovely house and room. The hosts were perfect and very helpful. The breakfast was 10 out of 10. We had lunch at a near by restaurant on the river recommended by the hosts and the food was really good there too. We would have loved to have stayed longer and walked around the local area. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
Cons: I would have liked some shampoo as travelling without liquids makes it difficult to carry.
Pros: The breakfast was beautiful and delicious! The hostess was lovely and charming and very attentive. The room was perfect- spacious, pretty and comfortable.
Pros: Michelle and Philippe greeted us warmly on our arrival. Philippe has a little English, and we have a little French, and with goodwill and good humour on both sides the communication went well. The room was large, comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts generous. Our hosts made a point of coming to the breakfast table to chat with us each morning, it made a good start to each day. The location is in a country village in rural France, in a picturesque location right on the Charente. Very pleasant walking locally. We feel that a car is necessary to see the wider locality.
Cons: Nothing to mention here.
Pros: Aptly named charming chamber d'hote. A spacious and comfortable room. The shower was excellent! Wifi was free and strong. Breakfast was home-made and generous. Our hosts were a very friendly couple. Very flexible access arrangements.
Pros: A lovely house in walled grounds that provides a very good breakfast. We had the Plat in the evening and it was good. A large selection of wines are available to order and served at the correct temperature.
Cons: Nothing really although on of the entrances was closed on arrival but opened remotely on pressing the intercom.
Pros: The house was beautifully and very tastefully decorated.

Cons: SorryCould, not stay a bit longer.
Pros: We found a great place for a one night stay while travelling to West coast - hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Lovely pool.
Pros: Lovely B&B in St Fraigne in the heart of the Charente. We had a very clean, comfortable, decent sized room with a clean shared bathroom. We had all the facilities we required for making tea and coffee plus a fridge, microwave and snacks. Ali and Jay were ultra helpful and friendly and we will definitely be returning.
Cons: We didn't like having to come home.
Pros: 1 meter width stone walls will provide quiet and comfortable temperature inside in both cases at cold and hot extremes. Fruit salad made from local seasonal fruits made by the Hostess was really GREAT! wi-fi password was too-long and not easy to fill in without mistakes... although you don't need wi-fi in such places!!! go outside =)) Location is just next to Mayor builing! so very central in the middle of nowhere ;)
Pros: Nice place, the owner even drove us to the place we were having dinner and picked us up later.

Cons: Absolutely nothing
Pros: Every now and then you find a gem. This is the place. absolutely delightful. Chantal couldn't do enough to help. Perfect
Pros: Kindless of the owner, she waited for us in late arrival
Pros: Madame Duvivier was a most charming host and her guest house is well appointed . The service was personal and dinner was of an excellent quality and served in a most pleasant atmosphere. An enjoyable overnight stay which I would be pleased to recommend.
Cons: Nothing !
Pros: Beautiful house carrying impressive history; very large bedroom-very well appointed; very pleasant inn keeper; great meal in the evening; English is spoken very well
Cons: One comes for the Logis des Tours - there is not much else in the immediate vicinity; but Logis is very much worth a detour
Pros: look like an impressive building and the proprietor was friendly.
Cons: Unfortunately the building is now in a bad state of repair with some areas needing major work, the bedroom itself was fair although the bathroom facilities were poor and the outside terraces are also now looking very shabby.
Pros: Not a lot
Cons: Very tired and unloved. Breakfast put in room night before so dry and not fresh/ no option to eat in place Nd no option outside invillGe so one night didn’t eat - just not worth the money - friends stayed in up market Le Otis for not much more!
Pros: Everything about the property and location
Pros: The room was spacious and had table and two chairs
Cons: Shower awful. Bed very uncomfortable. Ordered breakfast but none provided and only 3 euros deducted from bill as result. I challenge anyone to buy a breakfast for two for 3 euros! Muddy access track, poor signage. Surrounded by ruined buildings and overgrown gardens
Cons: Poor breakfast which you have to serve yourself. Very poor quality mattress and bedding and toilet didn’t work. Shower handle you have to keep in your hand to get washed.
Pros: Breakfast OK Jeanne was a delightful host.
Pros: The owner was very kind and helpful
Cons: The room was dated.
