The staff were welcoming and very friendly and went out of their way to overcome any issues. The rooms were spacious. It is a very old fashioned hotel and expensive. The restaurant served excellent food, but again with drinks it was very expensive, but that may be relative to Switzerland. There was no English speaking TV channel.
Super friendly and helpfull, relaxed atmosphere, excellent restaurant Internet access on the room was a problem
Friendly atmosphere & good & beautiful restaurant
Tastefully decorated hotel, nice resturant, good breakfast with Homemade jam, mountain view
Friendly staff. Very good restaurant, recommended
Spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly and helpfull owners and staff. Good breakfast: home made muesli highly recommended! Wonderful countryside. We think that the WiFI should be included in the price of the room.
Th owners are very frindly. we arrvide after midnight and they welcome us and ask if we need some thing for drink. we left the hotel early morning before breakfast time. they arranged everything in the brakefast room for us and take open the door and we went there and help us by breakfast. the Hotel is located on the montain in a nice small vilage and there are alot to see around the Hotel not too far. Breakfast is very good. The Hotel dosn't have a terrace to seat and enjoy the landscape. they have only a small summer restaurant that is surrounded by the buildings.
Very nice "gemuetlicher" atmosphere, excellent location for the mountains. The restaurant was very nice, good food and excellent service. The twin bed versus a double. The TV could do with upgrading and satellite connection (only minimal channels). The restaurant while very good was extremely expensive for the type of hotel, I paid 80CHF for a local bottle of wine and a meal for two cost more than the room cost and we didn't have desert.
It is a quite and cozy hotel, good for relaxing week ends None
The restaurant is superb and it is directly across the square from the fabulous monastery at Einsiedeln. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel quiet and charming.
The food was nice enough. The breakfast is good. The general appearance of the hotel is fine. The wireless access is not there from the cheaper rooms. I was forced to upgrade by paying 47CHF more a night so I could be in a room with wireless access as I needed it. All 3 of my internet enabled devices could not connect from the original room I booked. When I queried them about getting a discount on the newer room due to them not delivering the service they said they could all they could say is the other guests can connect no problem.
Very nice staff, we were warmly welcomed. Very comfortable bed. Excellent view from our room. Great breakfast with nice variety and pleasant breakfast room. Sink in our room (we knew we had reserved a room with a shared bathroom. Other hotels in the area were not coming up in our search, so we thought this was about the only one available). Some local people were very impressed when we told them that we were staying at Hotel Linde, as they talked very highly of the place. We're guessing that we just happened to receive the one room that had us scratching our heads about why the price was quite comparable to other 3 star hotels we'd stayed at. We were only in Einsiedeln for one night. Otherwise would have asked to change rooms. For the price compared to other 3 star hotels, were surprised at small room; had to leave luggage in the car and only bring in our carry-on. We knew we reserved a room with shared bathroom in the hall but were surprised at the basket full of used bars of hotel soap. Room did have a sink with clean bar of hotel soap. Hair dryer blew fuse in our room, then in shared bathroom. (Has never happened to me before). Husband took shower in pitch black. They didn't turn lights back on but kindly gave me hair dryer and was able to dry hair in hallway without blowing fuse. Explaining answer to next questions: would recommend but be sure to clarify what you are paying for. Most reviews in other languages, so could not read.
The Hotel was well furnished. I Ioved the wood interior. The restaurant was welcoming and the breakfast was extensive with plenty of choice. The room was comfortable and roomy and I ws not bothered that there was no en-suite. Thanks for a great stay Nothing to complain about
the breackfast the shower and wc room
Good price. Very nice restaurant, including breakfast. Nice room. I would change the old carpeting on the walls of the hallways (we were on the top floor); white paint would be better. However, our room was very nice, and the restaurant is great.
We enjoyed the view of the church, the restaurant and the proximity to everything we wanted. The room was too cold for us.
The location is excellent, right across from the Einsiedeln monastery. Rooms are simple but clean and staff were very helpful. Great value for travelling in Switzerland in August. Was able to walk in the mountains and nearby lake, very impressive surroundings.
Excellent location overlooking Klosterplatz in Einsiedeln. Very good quality and value for money
Good food at the restaurant and at breakfast The cleanliness due to the fact that the hotel is old and everything is a little bit worn. A lot of noise during the night because of the church bells. The hotels 2 stars correspond to what you get.
OK for the money. The room and the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly. Free WiFi makes things easier. The room was small.
