1. We did not get the room we ordered (we ordered dbl queen bed and got single king) 2. The toilet were flooded, it took them over 2 hours to fix and 2 phones. 3. It took them 3 phones and over 2 hours to get to us blanket for the sofa bed (We did not get then Dbl Queen) 4. The valet car retrieving our car took almost an HOUR !!, and we lost ski time.
Great location, cleanliness, and price Tiny body towels in bathroom after shower, it would be nice if they were bigger
Very nice and clean beds Pool to chlorinated and cold
The staff I've encountered were very nice. The free breakfast was great and better than just a continental breakfast so I was happy. Bed was comfy. Room decent sized and definitely a good value. Excellent location. Walkable to Heavenly and right across a tiny street from Stateline casinos. Slow wifi. Carpet seemed a little dirty in some spots. Room didn't have great lighting. The restaurant was hit or miss. Thin walls.
Free hot breakfast. room felt dirty. My daughters feet were dirty on the bottom after walking on the carpet.
- Nice location near heavenly village, hotels and attractions - Horse carriage ride just outside the hotel (not affiliated to the hotel) - Very clean room. - Got excellent view of the lake and mountains. - Good room service. - Very courteous staff all around including front desk, valet, bell desk, concierge and breakfast. - Safe area around where you can walk around even late in the night. - Breakfast was excellent with good choices. - Room had a separate living room and bedroom with 2 queen beds. No fresh air fan in the bathroom. There is no parking other than Valet. So you have to pay 19 dollars along with 15 dollars resort fee. It's good they separate it so people flying don't have to pay for parking, but those who drive should have some place to park for free. Such a big hotel that it was hard to find a place to sit for breakfast in the morning. Walls were thin and you could hear noise from other rooms and outside. 15 dollar resort fee only gives 3 Mbps internet which buffered while watching online movies.
Great location and price. Very clean and the indoor pool is great for the kids in Winter. Complimentary breakfast was good for the whole family. Perfect room with King bed in bedroom, hide-a-bed in living room for kids. Two sinks in room made it easy for everyone to get ready in the morning. Living room TV did not work- they offered to send someone to fix it. Monday the breakfast was very crowded and half of the dining hall was closed, so we had to wait several minutes for an open table.
The free breakfast The overly expensive room service
Clean and nice. Was impressed with service and the people Nothing. They did a great job!
Close to restaurants, entertainment and gondola to Heavenly resort
All around agreeable Unaccompanied kids in pool
Hot tub, free breakfast, spacious rooms. Slow / unreliable internet, especially during busy weekends.
Location on the lake front was excellent. Hammocks to enjoy the views and outdoor. Dock excellent for watching the sunsets. Buildings are old. We stayed on 1st floor and heard every creak and Crack as the people above us walked around. I was aware of their bathroom and showering habits. Our room was not the cleanest. Walls had lots of spots on it, smelled like bug spray but they tried to cover up with lemon scent. Our bed was extremely firm and so we're the pillows. With the noise from above and the uncomfortable bed it was difficult to get a good night's sleep.
Perfect location on the beach and in town. There wasn't sugar or creamer provided for the coffee, and there weren't any wash cloths.
Loved being right at the beach! We went midweek and pretty much had the beach to ourselves! The rooms were nice. The staff was great! The only thing I didn't like was the smell of the soap, shampoo, etc. provided. It had a weird medicinal smell.
The staff was very nice and accommodating! Since we decided to not stay there for our vacation they let us cancel without any pay! Our room was next door to house keeping. Washing machines were right next door which were very loud. Outside our door was the delivery dock with lots of confusion. The beach was not as groomed as I was expecting from a resort. Dog poop and cigaret buts. The water there was full of algie which I'm not sure if that is due to the dock? The Ticki bar was full of people which is great for young party kids. But we were looking for a resort with a pleasant, clean and family friendly!!
Loved the fireplace in the room. Loved the efforts made to save - with the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion. Also, loved that we had the option not to have towels and sheets changed to save on water. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Due to the staffs clerical errors charging us over $200 in room service fees which were not ours "but looked close to our room number" caused an embarrassing and uncomfortable situation when our credit card was declined at lunch, due to the staffs eronious errors, and also not having access to our money for 2 days which is an extreme inconvenience when you are traveling.
Great staff and location. Very close to the water and shopping. Clean accomodations overall. Very small rooms, rather cramped spaces, and no complimentary breakfasts. The drinking water carried a $3.00 charge, ridiculous. At night the jacuzzi party was allowed to carry on until very late, noisy.
Close to everything and even has its own beach with a pier and restaurant. Rooms desperately need to be updated.
You can't beat the beach access! With two young sons, having the pier, pool, beach and bar (for mommy & daddy) all within footsteps of our hotel room was amazing. Convenient and SO much fun. The grounds are great. We sat around the fire pits and ordered dessert one night:-) Love everything about this place. Oh, and it's affordable!
I like the location, very clean and exciting, the room setting was nice and comfy, the pool my children loved! and enjoyed and landscaping was very nice maintance plus, the beautiful fire pit in the evening my family and I seat around and talked and enjoyed. Also the walk way to the beach close to the pier! beautiful view! We had our fur baby and he loved it just as much as we did! so happy the retreat is pet friendly great Plus
Great location, right on the beach. Great views. centrally located. Very good value for the cost.
The staff made our stsy Rooms were a little small but with the fireplace and deck made up for the room size.
The location Parking was not included in the price. It usually is.
Great Village atmosphere. Lots of music at restaurants nearby, decent bar scene, right at base of gondola. Gondola was shut down for one day. so it was a drag to take a bus to the california base; especially when you're paying for the primo location next to the gondola. Oh well. Great skiing, one or two blocks to casinos, comfortable 3BR unit with washer/dryer. All good.
The staff all was amazing. They even took the overnight parking fee off my tab when they realized I was waiting 30+ minutes waiting for valet service. I wasnt even asking for anything as I knew they were all buzy as it was raining and it was checkout time. It was a great place, will be back again! I cant complain. Everything was great.
Everything was great The couch/sofa bed could be little softer to sit and sleep on
We liked the location and friendly staff plus enjoyed the gym there. We were disappointed that the check- out was 10:00. We travel a lot and have never had such an early check-out. We called valet for our car and it wasn't ready for us and waited 30 minutes for it. I think that was due to all checking out at the same time that usually doesn't happen at other hotels we have stayed in. Also they did not have anyplace to eat breakfast in.
Great location and beautiful rooms. Really nice having shops and restaurants in walking distance. Very pricy for a room. Although very nice I feel like for the rates there should include more amenities like free meals or parking or free or discounted gondola ride.
Loved the convenience of being right at the Gondola and Heavenly Village. Front desk, valet, and staff were super courteous and helpful. The rooms are great, clean, and very convenient when traveling with kids. We used the kitchen to prepare breakfast and simple meals. Would definitely return because overall it was comfortable. Housekeeping came by at 8am, and we had not left yet (typical when babies and toddlers are involved), and they did not come back later. We were later told we have to call and request that. When we did at 5pm they said it's too late for the day even though we just bumped into two housekeepers outside our room in the hallway. We asked them but they said we had to call front desk. They just got out of doing the work. The mattress springs gave in and was pretty soft. Probably due for replacement. Didn't like the 10am checkout. Should be 11 or 12 like other places.
The front desk manager is super rude. Our request was not at all heard. This attitude towards customer is not helpful. The parking lot allotted to us was already taken. The internet wifi service kept dropping every 5 minutes. The courtesy to listen to customer and to come up with a solution. Blaming customers in a rude manner. The wifi never worker for more than 5 min. Yahoo is accessible but google services are not. The parking allotted is already assigned to someone else.
I like The rooms Not enough parking
Got acces to private beach which was close by and also very close to the village and casinos. Nothing that I didn't like.
Really comfortable bed, annoyinh ladies staying next to us, needs a recycling program and updated carpet and cabinetry.
The location was perfect for our short trip to Lake Tahoe and allowed for walking to most of South Lake Tahoe's points of interests. The hotel is an authentic mountain lodge motel with cute, updated decor and well-maintained grounds. The staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub on a cool fall day. The parking was very limited and we were unable to find a spot at all on two occasions. The mattresses in our room were far too worn, although the bedding was fresh and quite clean. We were also kept awake multiple times as the floors/walls are quite thin- you could hear the people above talking and walking in their room. (This is probably a reflection of the age of the building, but was distracting nonetheless.)
Pool and jacuzzi , great clean comfy king bed , private balcony , friendly staff Didnt realize was dog friendly, you can tell by the smell of the room there have been pets. Room was clean but had lingering pet odor.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean, well-kept, great location, quiet, and overall I enjoyed my stay. They upgraded me too, as there was a problem with my original room... If you can afford it, get a suite. Sooooooo awesome. Also, everything you'll need is within walking distance. Pet friendly, but I think there's an extra charge. You can rent a DVD player for $5 a day if you forget your Xbox/PS4, and there's a Redbox at the Raileys a few blocks away. Ceiling fan sounded like a 747 about to take off. At first I thought "Oh cool, retro-steampunk kinda thing"... But no. It was just really really old. Looks like they do update and renovate often and honestly, a fan isn't a big deal in early November. The fireplace worked just fine!!
I like the fact that everything was cleaned daily during our stay and had all the amenities needed. We were able to cook and had plenty of room for guests and entertainment. The manager took care of all our needs. They had a bit of a bug issue but you could tell it was being treated. We brought out boat and trailer so parking was a bit of an issue.
The entire aesthetic, furniture and location were perfect for an amazing price. The light in the bedroom was too low and I hit my head. Repeatedly.
Location, quiet, The parlour suite had a very small kitchen and oddly placed table in living room posing as a dining table. The wall paper did not fit the rustic wood feel.
Excellent location, walking distance from beach and facilities. Although the room had a full kitchen, it had almost no equipment/utensils and no place to sit for meals. It would take very little investment for them to improve this. Our room was on the first floor and we could hear footsteps from the room above. Luckily our upstairs neighbors where quiet! We stayed at this hotel 10 years ago and the worsening conditions were noticeable.
Accidentally booked the wrong day, was willing to pay for a more expensive room to cancel the wrong night. Manager Anastasia hung up the phone on both me and priceline.com
Restaurant was excellent - both for lunch and dinner. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and approachable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Got great restaurant recommendations from one of the valets. Room was very nicely appointed, comfortable and attractive. Radiant floor heat in the bathroom was a nice touch. Free on-site parking with valet service. Great location - not in the thick of things, so quiet, but easy access to South Lake and the rest of the Lake. Nothing.
Was such an amazing experience! Everyone was polite and got everything to us as soon as we requested it! Definitely will be going back
Location was great, perfect for the lake. Jimmy's restaurant was very nice and the wait staff were great! We booked a pet friendly room for our dog, we were told we could only stay on the ground floor next to the lake car park. It was very noisy and the nightly cost did not match my experience. I am a seasoned traveler and this was not good value for money.
My wife and I were greeted by the valet/concierge gentlemen right away and were offered a glass of cold champagne! Set the standard for the rest of the stay and they didn't disappoint! Love this place and see ourselves coming here for many years to come! Didn't like that my sister in law's room was in a totally different building than ours, but understandable given the layout and they were completely booked that weekend. Also couldn't believe her room was much larger and nicer than our premium lake view king, given our room was $80 more per night. But the view made up for it. After all, it was only for one night.
All was perfect Except the restaurant
The staffs are the best and helpful. The restaurant closes early 9.30pm and no other food or drink service late hours.
The staff, decor and small, thoughtful touches were great. I thought the restaurant, Jimmys, was overpriced for the quality of the food. Menu did nothing for us.
Staff is excellently trained. Very professional. Rooms are big and comfortable. Restaurant is nothing short of excellent. it is worth staying at the hotel just for the restaurant.
1. There was no hot water in the morning when outside temperature is -8 C and they couldnt seem to care about it.
The service was amazing and staff were very accommodating. Our room was beautiful and the spa was glorious The reading couch in the room was not super comfy but it was a pull out so no biggie
We enjoyed the swimming pool First of all am not saying all employees are not properly trained doing their job but some of the employees yes they are not properly trained especially when they are charging bills to their guests when they checking in like what happened to us it is so terrible experienced we ever had in that place I booked online and make reservation I payed everything online so when I came to the front desk at the resort I told Them that I have reservation and I payed online however this employee asking for my debit card charging for any damages incase we something happen to the unit for amount of $100 for me doesn't matter because he said they will refund it after we check out so I said ok but then after an hour I check my online banking and it showed up in my bank account that the resort charge me $348 I can't believe this people can't do their job right so I told them what happen and they told me that they will refund it and they said it takes 3 to 5 business days to refund completely in my bank account and the next day I saw in my bank account they charge me again $740 I can't believe this place this is so much errors and stupidity why they can't do their job really guy come on!!' so I talk to them again and again and again all they did is sorry we will refund it we just make a mistake. And also at the next counter at my left side another costumer complained because of their errors over charging their costumers!!!! Please don't go in this resort believe me!!!!
Location is perfect BBQ grills on property are nice Pools were not heated even though they advertised them that way. They stick you in the main building in the summer on the first floor with paper thin ceilings so you are awakened by the people above and you are far away from the beach and with only a queen size bed even though other rooms were available the Andrea manager wanted an upcharge of 50 per night plus tax for them even though the reception clerk said it was no problem to move. Andrea the manager always had a fake forced smile and was not customer focused at all. The room carpets were filthy.. they needed shampooing.
Good value for money but the cleaning was not up to scratch. I don't think the sheets on our bed had been changed. Hairs on the sheets when I have inspected before bed. There were hairs on the bathroom floor. Carpets were worn in areas. Bedding looked about 20 years old. Just felt a little yukky
The Condo was lovely and clean. The proximity to the sandy beach at Lake Tahoe and the South Shore casinos is excellent. Also, the grounds are beautiful with all of the lovely pine and redwood trees on the property. We had a wonderful relaxing visit, and I will definitely recommend Aston Lakeland Village to my friends Condos located near Lake Tahoe Blvd are too noisy with the traffic close by. I had to request a different condo than the one originally assigned to us, and Aston was very gracious about moving us to a condo closer to the Lake.
Access to beach is great. Shuttle service on demand is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Parking was tight, but we were there on 4th of July. Our suite was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, etc. (though we didn't need a kitchen for a one night stay). Would stay there again, but book a room earlier and request a room that is located as far from Hwy 50 as possible. Our suite was spacious, except for the shower and toilet room which was extremely small. Furniture could use an update, screen doors were barely functional. Suite was facing Hwy 50 and was REALLY noisy. Needed to have the doors open because it was quite warm. I suppose in winter the noise wouldn't be an issue because you could keep the doors closed. Lastly, we paid way more than the room was worth, but booked it only a week before the 4th of July, so it was somewhat expected.
This was everything we needed for a weekend with my son and his family! The unit we were in is a three storey condo with three bedrooms (one in the loft) and two baths, full kitchen, living room and laundry. And the kids (and I'm including my grown son here) really enjoyed the wood fireplace! Beautiful surroundings, right on the beach. We decided to buy groceries and stay in the first night. ..a very good choice as the kitchen was well appointed. There are even board games! ! Just be aware that the loft gets really hot if you use the fireplace in the evening.
The free shuttle was great- we never waited for more than 5 minutes for a ride. It was nice to have the continental breakfast as an option. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Having a kitchen was great. Room (especially the bathroom) was kind of cramped.
The fact that is was right on the water The AC unit did not cool the room properly. Had to get and extra fan. The room was a non smoking room but there were cigarette butts on the balcony and the worse part was when I turned my covers down on the bed and found a large black hairball in between the sheets
Staff was wonderful! Best service I have ever had! From beginning to end!
I love that it is so convenient to everything! I only had to use my car twice during my whole trip. Everything was walking distance! I'm not sure what had happened but my car had valet parking. And they returned my car with wheel/ tire was flat
Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, full kitchen, multiple living spaces, gorgeous views, beautiful living spaces, great for large groups.
The staff was great, very helpful, and friendly. Nice room with a chalet feel. Fast valet service. Great location. Strong commercial air freshener smell initially in the room, cracked open the window and it was fine. They need a better air freshener when recycling the rooms.
Family friendly Na
Nice stay. Great location Third party check in was extremely slow and my reservations we're lost
The room was indeed deluxe; swimming pool, hot tub and the sauna were at a top level; beach was within an earshot When we checked in, they sent us to the far corner of the hotel, only for us to find out the housekeeper was just starting to clean the room! She didn't speak any English but with my basic Spanish I understood that the room was not going to be ready soon. That was at 2 PM; then back to the reception and guess what, they had no other room available and the room they initially had us sent out to was to be ready at 5:30PM. Very inconvenient given the fact my 20 month toddler needed to have his regular nap between 2 and 4. They didn't even offer a discount or a treat of a sort. Once I got into an overbooked situation at Westin and they gave us a free dinner at their restaurant! Anyway, the next day a staff member came at the door of our room asking me if I had the room stay extended since I should have already cheched out. When I told the man I originally had the room booked for two nights he stared at me in disbelief. Poor, poor communication between housekeeping and receprion! Also, staff is not very friendly and nice! Also, check out time is 10AM, so they leave you with the feeling that they get you in late and ask you to leave early
-Close to lake -Clean and rooms seem renovated -Shower didn't work in room -HVAC unit in room VERY loud and disrupts sleep. -Left watch on bed and left 2 messages with security/lost & found about it -- never heard back -Staff is annoying and tries to sell you on timeshares for your next trip -Overpriced for what it is
Room was clean and beautiful. We had a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit with a sofa sleeper in the living room. There was plenty of room for my family of 5. Having a kitchen was great. Good location on the water very close to Heavenly Ski Resort. We plan to return. It was very good value for money. 1. Had to say no to the timeshare pitch. We did NOT sit through any timeshare presentation, but they sure tried to persuade us to. 2. Room had a view of parking lot not the mountains or lake. 3. No laundry facilities in the room but there were guest laundry facilities in the resort. Not enough machines.
The room was nice - couches aren't too comfortable. Tyler at the front desk was very helpful upon check in. The staff was extremely pushy at check in. They want you to check in with the concierge for a welcome packet and push a timeshare sale presentation on you. We tried to walk out to our car upon checking in and was followed by the concierge who had to introduce himself and check us off. When I said we weren't interested in the welcome packet as we were there for 1 night, the sales manager, Jesse, came up with another person crowding me and pushing me to get our welcome packet and followed me out the door insisting there is no sales commitment. I had stayed here before with family and liked it and was excited for my husband to stay there, but this treatment was too much and we will not be staying there again until they can learn to respect their customers privacy. The 1.5 hour wait to check in because the room was not ready was also too long.
Excellent hotel with lots of stuff for kids to do - swim, games, etc. restaurant excellent. Housecleaning didn't clean out room each day but when needed towels they were delivered quickly.
It is beautiful, fun and superb deal for me my best everything
The location was good. The beds were great for those with a sensitive back. We were unaware that they were undergoing major renovations - evidently it was in the small print in our confirmation email. The face of the resort looked awful. The worst of it was that the pool, fitness center and jacuzzi were unavailable. They sent us to a rec center in town, which didn't work at all if you wanted to work out 1st thing in the morning before heading out, or to pop down and relax in a jacuzzi at the end of the day, because on the weekend the rec center opened too late. So we had to pay extra to visit a local fitness center. And when we asked for a refund on the daily "resort fee" at the hotel we were refused. The funny thing is that when we went there 2 years ago it was being renovated then! We had assumed it would be fixed by now - bad assumption!
had spa, pool, and sauna location was good. room was clean and nice. when we check-in, the room was cold. heater and refrigerator was broken. After an hours, they changed the room.
Friendly staff, gr8 location, good amenities, complimentary valet parking, newly renovated rooms Very crowded....long check-in registration process in spite of pre online checkin ( this may be partly due to the Easter /spring break, hopefully)
The location, and facilities, the valet parking were very attentive. Very late check in time, the front desk staff not very welcoming, we had to make our own beds, we were not timeshare members, we were hotel guests.
Low key and relaxed. Staff made a real effort to please. Comfortable. Lack of choices for places to eat. Limited grocery shopping selection.
easy walk off slopes to room Bad food and super expensive Very Noisy all night long from snow equipment, but hey the noise from the refrigerator and the super loud bathroom fan helped overpower the CATs that groom the mountain as they drove by our window. cold not cool the room, was 80 degrees in winter, for some reason it was always overheated. Very dated Foldout bed and couch were very uncomfortable Super cramped micro studio, really a hotel room with a kitchen No social life, everything closes at 430 and you are in a ghost town despite being a holiday weekend, strange Way overpriced, facilities should be much much nicer for the $350 plus plus a night for a micro studio
Value. Proximity to slopes. Size of room. Room was extremely low budget. Tv was tiny and did not work (no cable). Bed was uncomfortable to the point that sleeping on the mattress was impossible
Affordable and Comfortable, we stayed only for one night while visiting family. We will definitely be back again. Maybe a ski package or to stay over the summer in the RV park. The dripping of the pipes. But understandable due to the cold weather so they didn't freeze. It was just a bit bothersome when you first lay down to go to sleep. But other than that the rooms were warm and the beds were comfortable.
