the outside looked nice and i'm sure some rooms are nicer than the one we booked. the furnishings in our room were tatty with chips stained and cracked. we ended up with lots of bites from the bed. thought it was a bit overpriced for the industrial area it is situated and the room itself. only stayed one nite of the three.
well appointed cottage offered relaxing surroundings; recption staff were very helpful with excursion bookings Dreadful liaison between hotel and restaurant; latter did not understand the package we were on, leading to embarrassing arguments about a dinner bill. I particularly objected to being cross-questioned about which member of staff had given me what information; I do not ask the names; I do expect to be trusted.
It was all good
rooms are very intime and romantic; the restaurant is really excellent; property is very well maintained and managed, in a beautiful environment. Rooms are a little small (but really just a bit)
A dream resort. No lift for the upper floors
Really nice, it was a good surprise to get a small house (2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room) for the price of a comfortable room.
We did enjoy our stay very much, was perfect
I enjoyed my stay at the Arcadia, the service was excellent. They helped me find activities to do in the area, and helped me booking those activities. The staff is friendly and very helpful.
Free internet connection
This Motel was very good value for money. It was everything we needed for a short stay in Nelson. The owner was very friendly and eager to be of help and the rooms spacious. A little dated but this didn't bother us as it was perfectly clean. 5 minute drive (20 minute walk) from Nelson Town but again we had our car so was not a big issue.
The room was great- large and had a well-equipped kitchen. There was also a carport for our car. The owners were very friendly.
Hands down one of the best B&B’s I’ve ever stayed at, Paul and Jeanine have set the bar very high. First off, it’s a beautiful property with gorgeous rooms and thoughtful design. There is nothing like the morning or evening light coming in through sheer curtains. The owners Paul and Jeanine, were above accommodating even before we got there trying to assist with a wine tour. Paul invited us to pick plums from their tree and they were yummy, even packed some with us for the rest of our trip. The breakfast each morning was great and eating with the vines right next to you was so relaxing. My fiancé fell in love with Truffle and Bacchus, the owners dogs and had a good romp on the property with them. The property is situated close to Ruby Beach, 30 minute drive from Abel Tasman, 30 minute drive from Nelson and close to all the vineyards in that region for tours. Jeanine put together a list of vineyards for us to check out and Paul even made our dinner reservation for us in Nelson the night we arrived. This is beyond service. We stayed in the Chardonnay room which was immaculate, we couldn’t hear a peep from our neighbours and if the owners hadn’t told us there was a full house we wouldn’t have known. The bed was so comfy it was really hard to get out of it the first morning for our sea kayak, also great pressure in the shower and lots of hot water. I can’t recommend this place enough. You will not be disappointed.
The accommodations were great. The room was clean and everything worked. But what makes this property shine is the staff. The reception desk was extremely helpful. Even loaning us towels for the beach after we checked out! I would gladly stay here again.
Very clean, spacious, quality fittings. Good central city location. Pleasant helpful reception.
The room was big enough to be an apartment with a fully operational kitchen. It was the nicest accommodation on our month long trip to Australia and New Zealand. The innkeepers were very nice and helpful and welcoming. Very good value for the money.
