Hotel was easily accessible. The staff were helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the menu of the day for 10 euros was amazing. We were disappointed that the information about the hotel stated it had a pool but this was not in operation and would have been very welcome on the very hot day.
Excellent location, ideal for walking and exploring. Great choice of meals including a good menu of the day with wine included at 9 euros! Spotlessly clean and full choice very good breakfast included - extremely good value and very hard to beat
The hotel staff were friendly, the cooking good and the room comfortable. It is also very easy to locate, notwithstanding the fact that is in the countryside.
The receptionist was very helpfull, the evening meal at €9 including a bottle of wine between two was sastisfactory and the self service breakfast was excellent. We have stayed at this hotel several times before as it iss on one of the routes we use whilst travelling between the UK and the Costa Blanca in Spain.
Friendly personal at front desk, air conditioning, cleanliness, wifi for free **Breakfast: no employee in restaurant, empty tables, guests have to guess where to find what and set up their table (no tray)! Employee comes every 30 min. To clean the tables and disappears. Beside the door serving trolley with garbage bag! You feel like they feed animals! Quality of the food is bad.**location: direct on the national road between irun and pamplona, very loud, nothing around, the village is situated 5km away. A big construction area on the way and in the front of the hotel for the extension of the road : loud, dusty and no information about this in booking.com/in the hotel....really disappointing
This is a favorite Hotel of ours. It operates way above its 2 star rating and the value for money rates amoung the best we have ever enjoyed The bar is full of smoke
Enjoyable stay in this comfortable, clean, charming hotel. Staff friendly and breakfast had quite a bit of choice. Rather expensive and extras such as spa and breakfast also expensive.
The surroundings were beautiful and offered lots of possibilities for hiking. The personnel was very friendly and did their best to make the visitors content. The service was very good. We stayed for five nights and it would have been nice to have some variety on the breakfast. For those who do not speak Spanish an English menu would be nice.
Lovely setting, quiet, relaxing. Would certainly stay here again. Restaurant was a major disappointment - considering the wealth of farm lands in the area, we were perplexed by the lack of fresh foods on the menu. Everything seemed to be canned or pre-prepared.
Location The cold atmosphere , the smell inside and the food was horrible
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly
the country side it was hard to check out of the hotel early, no one was available
The building was very interesting and the staff were most pleasant and helpful. The location was beautiful and we much enjoyed our stay.
Very friendly and helpfull staff. It is an excentric hotel with a lot of stairs, a special and nice room decoration, very clean as well. It is situated in the middle of beautiful Laguardia.
Staff friendly and helpful, able to communicate in English, much better than we could in Spanish. Restaurant staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and adequate. Liked having a balcony to sit on. Great views. Elevator up 2 sets of stairs and did not work the day we left.
Excellent breakfasts, well presented.
location. quite close to French border Over priced at €112 for the room
The staff were excellent. The size of the room and that it had a balcony The pool not in use, Substandard breakfast. Had to ask for items. Room Decoration tired.
It was in a convenient location for the mountains. Breakfast was good. There was no information in the rooms about what services were available. We arrived at 2.30pm and the restaurant didn't open until 9.00pm.
Staff were responsive to requests. Good simple meal for overnite stay. Room had to be changed but was done without any fuss.
Nice location with lovely views from our balcony. Receptionst very friendly and spoke good english. No menu in english.
Large rooms huge beds with large bath old wooden beams everywhere lounge massuve and relaxing. breakfast good. Eat out at the nearby restaurant the food is boil in a bag type
Personel treatment as well in the reception as during dinner was fantastic, absolut top.
Tranquility, quality of food, friendliness No
Beautiful interiors and wood
The staff did everything to make our stay pleasant. We got a lot of information about the area. Home away from home. The churchbells in the village.
plenty of parking.nice feel about the hotel.excellent resterant
Well appointed hotel with co-operative staff The hotel is immediatedly adjacent to a road and set of traffic lights used constantly (24 hours a day) by large trucks. The noise was amazing (although reduced by closing the windows) and the hotel vibrated as the trucks passed. We left after 1 of three booked nights.
stayed wrong time of year - no food available and what we got was uneatable
I cannot fault the hotel. The rooms are huge and gorgeous, very quiet with lovely views. The whole hotel is absolutely beautiful with every attention to detail and lovely staff. The food in the restautant is also very good. I highly recommend the slow cooked pork. The honesty bar drinks are quite expensive. A small bottle of beer is 4 euros. However there is a nice bar down the road where it's much cheaper.
Clean. Very modern. A very long way from the parking to the room. Not live enough.
Dinner and breakfast buffet is good. Very peaceful location. You pay for a SPA resort, but you only get a room. They charge like 25 euro for 20 mins' staying in the pool.. Staff does not speak any English or French. You hear the noise from the technical installation of the spa in the bedrooms.
We loved the views, the rooms, the amazing food, the remote and beautiful location, the friendly staff. We enjoyed every minute- Excellent! Ring ahead to get directions.
A wonderful place to chill out for a weekend in the middle of the Basque countryside. Kuko and Sabrina are attentive and interesting hosts and the cooking is fabulous! The house is beautifully and quirkily decorated and there are lots of interesting pieces of art and craft to look at and books and magazines to consult. It's also within easy distance of the coast and the mountains and cities such as Pamplona and San Sebastian, ideal if you prefer a quieter base.
