This guest house provides excellent transportation accessibility from the front of Marugame JR station of which the north exit is a stone's throw away.
Pros: Nice and helpful boss with fluent English
Pros: The owners are amazing! The guesthouse lobby functions as a shared area to lounge from 4-10pm which also provides a place to socialize with our hosts and other guests (and occasionally neighbors in the area). I really enjoyed my stay - Naomi had wonderful recommendations both for the Setouchi Trienale art festival and for other activities. Facilities are clean as well! Would definitely recommend staying here!
Cons: One minor thing is that the pillows are a little high for a back/stomach sleeper. Ended up being able to get good sleep regardless!
Pros: Excellent location,it takes 1 min to jr station and quite near to the port. Landlady was very friendly to introduce the sightseeing location and some nice restaurant. Strongly recommend that to stay here. Will definitely visit this city again❤️
Pros: The staff is AWESOME!!! Naomi is such a wonderful, nice, lively, adorable person! I stayed for three nights, and the atmosphere at the lobby was always nice, Naomi prepared Japanese tea, table games for the guests and it was really fun! Also, the location is superb! Right across the station, a lot of awesome restaurants nearby!
Pros: Deeply caring owners, wonderful location, and a quiet stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to spend time in Marugame. If I’m ever back in town I know this is the place I’ll stay.
Pros: Extremely friendly and helpful hosts; great English and fun conversations! Excellent location. Literally 20 steps from the train station, inside which is an amazing supermarket.
Cons: The mattress is thinner and more stiff than I prefer.
Pros: The nicest couple of Japan runs the place. They give you a free drink for the first night. Just in front of the station, could not be in a better place.
Pros: Luckily, there was no one else staying in the dormitory. Maybe because it was not in Takamatsu. Helpful hosts. Close to ferry and JR.
Cons: Had to commute a bit since my ferries were in Takamatsu. Could hear sounds in the hall and downstairs.
Pros: Host is very helpful and friendly.
Cons: The space in room is too small especially bathroom. There is also no place to packaging over one person’s luggage.
Pros: Everything was great. Very nice and helpful owners always ready to talk and help. Great location.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, restaurant food excellent.
Cons: Far from town although having access to the shuttle helped
Pros: The view was amazing of the inland sea
Pros: Great location overlooking the bay and suspension bridges, with views from the large rooms. While the hotel has a classic late 50’s style, it is immaculate, clean and spacious. Dinning service was exceptional and the staff really do go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable. The regular free shuttle bus from the hotel to the train station was appreciated. We only stayed one night and would certainly return here if the opportunity arose again.

Pros: The staff was very friendly and good
Cons: The location, far from the station and there is no public transportation. This is the hotel for those traveling by car.
Pros: Something of a business hotel. with a restaurant, and an onsen. The one downside is location unless you are driving. It is about 4 km from the city center. 3 km from any Henro temples. The front desk staff, however, are great. They kept our luggage for several hours after checkout, got us a taxi and did their best to answer our questions and check on our status.
Pros: Free parking is great and convenient. The public bath is good and I used it everyday during my stay. Really worth the money. If you are a gold lover, don’t miss the driving range nearby. The range is the pond !!!!
Cons: If they can extend the breakfast time to 9:30 or 10 am, that will be a bonus to those who wake up late like me.
Pros: big car park, easy to find

Pros: A huge spa and sound proofing
Cons: The staff were very helpful regardless of the language barrier, they were both polite and helpful.
Pros: The room is big, nice jacuzzi
Cons: It is an old fashioned love hotel. Lacks of privacy. You can not keep the room keys Very old furniture.
Cons: No reception, you have to figure out by yourself that you have to pickup a room by yourself. After entering the room you have to call the reception to tell them you booked on booking.com. An automatic email explaining everything would be appreciated!
Pros: Cheap on Saturday night, in compared with other love hotels. View was nice, in front of the river. Space is quite enough, separate bathroom and toilet. TV screen is very good, 60”.
Cons: The route to get to the hotel is not easy. No WiFi, breakfast has to pay extra fee, bed mat size was very small, so they made a wide frame to enlarge it. But since it costs cheap, you get what you paid for. Fare enough.
Pros: It’s a cheap choice.
Cons: 1. It’s too far from the station( Walk about 20min walk to the nearest train station). 2. It can not use cash. ( The staff told us they can use the cash but only when we get there to find that their credit card machine has some problems. ) 3. A little insecure. ( The room does’t have key, when you go back you have to call them to open the door. ) 4. The staff can’t say English at all, It’s quite hard to communicate.
Pros: It was a shock to me that I had booked a room at a love hotel. I thought Booking.com just had ordinary hotels. I was tired and in a hurry when I did my reservation, and therefore I did not pay attention to the ”adult only” thing. Anyway, the staff was friendly. We laughed together about my mistake. I stayed the night, but will never go back.

Cons: The bathroom is the old-fashioned fibreglass moulded. It is very small and not brightly lit. The carpet and the furniture is a bit worn out. However the bed is comfortable.

Pros: Close to Marugame Castle; room size is bigger than standard Jap hotel
Cons: Property is old, and it can be felt across the hotel (rooms, shower room, etc)
Pros: Many amenities.
Cons: Old hotel rooms. Breakfast was expensive. The tiles in the big bath were peeled off and ugly and not comfortable. I think they should fix immediately. Handle of tab was tight. Washlet was very very old model. The wallpaper were peeled off. My room was non smoking but I smelled in the same floor. I wish smoking guest in the different floor.
Pros: Good stop on the 88temple pilgrimage. Clean and comfortable.
Pros: Clean and extra big bath
Cons: Too small room to put 2 suitcaes
Cons: I don’t like smoking smell in the room(non smoking room) and lobby
Pros: Close to the famous castle. Parking lot next to hotel.
Cons: The room is not big but it is normal in Japan.
Pros: Very close to the train station and located next to a market area.
Cons: I was forced to stay in this city because of no operation for all Shikoku JR trains due to Typhoon #10. I found this hotel by google map and went there directly to get a room. The room rate offered by the front counter was 5800 yen but the internet posted was 3900 yen. So I registered to its website and reserved a room right at its looby, then showed the conformation to the front desk to get a room @3900 yen. It was so ridiculous.
Pros: Breakfast very good
Cons: Very old and worn. Needs to be updated
Pros: Facilities at hotel were great. Only one i stayed at that supplied coffee and tea.
Cons: Hotel decor did need updating. Didn't see anyone having breakfast not sure what menu was like.
