Reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful with information, eg times of breakfast, location of hotel, where to go and what to see in the vicinity. They seemed to be only interested in conference delegates and not with tourists. The information contained in room folder was in Swedish and of no use. Restaurant meals were good but we were only offered the menu with regional specialities which was very expensive. Our stay did not represent value for money compared with other hotels we have stayed in in Sweden.
The Hotel is well located in the centre of a small, pleasant and historical harbour town called Trosa. Very nice and convenient geographical setting. Dinner was good with an attractive and extensive wine list which included with some reasonably priced wines The room (no 2) although pleasantly decorated was small and the bathroom even smaller (it was hard taking a proper shower). The view from the room was also a bit disappointing.
The location is excellent if you like to eat breakfast overlooking a beutiful lake and forests ,it is very quiet with plenty of places to explore. It should be made clear that only some of the facilities are available when the hotel is being used in the summer as a hotel not a conference centre.
nice landscape , fair breakfast very small , minimize room facilities
I like most the location in country and very good breakfast. Also I sleep very well. Everything went fine.
Excellent location, beautiful scenery. Helpful staff. Breakfast very good during events, only basic on other days (check with staff beforehand to avoid surprises). Good alternative to (more expensive places in) Stockholm, if you have a car and do not mind the 45 minutes drive. Be prepared for dealing with mosquitoes
