Pros: The host was very welcoming and friendly. She spoke English although we preferred to speak French with which she obliged. The rooms were clean and homely - a large bathroom and double bed. After a long drive it was just what we needed. If our children were with us, they would have enjoyed the trampoline, swimming pool, table tennis etc. As it was, we relaxed on a grassy terrace outside our room as the sun went down. Breakfast was plentiful.
Cons: We just had a job following the directions given by booking.com and resorted to Google maps in the end. It was a little hard to find and frustrating.
Pros: Amazing swimming pool with hot water ;).
Pros: Natasha is a very nice host. She is very careful and nice with the guest.
Pros: This is a beautiful house at the edge of a lovely village. Natasha is very nice and made us feel so welcome. Everything - rooms, bathrooms, toilets is not only in great shape but also so lovely. There is a quite a large pool and we were able to use even though it was very cold outside as its heated. Breakfast was superb.
Cons: Nothing not to like.
Pros: Fantastic house with awesome views . Brilliant hosts Best breakfast we had on our 5 day motorcycle trip
Pros: Is a nice place for relax ,don’t hesitate to book, owner super helpful
Cons: WiFi little problem
Pros: The view
Cons: Bathroom facilities were scattered around the room. Too big chairs and table made getting around the bed difficult
Pros: Amazing experience start to finish. The location is breathtaking and very secluded which adds to the amazing views of surrounding mountains. Kids loved the indoor pool, table tennis and upstairs bedroom just for them. Breakfast was incredible and all of us were stuffed and satisfied. Natasha is an amazing host and the whole family was very welcoming. Can easily recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a relaxing stay and amazing food.
Cons: Nothing - everything was great
Pros: Everything was perfect rooms are clean people are very nice. Thank you for everything
Cons: Only room was little bit cold at the evening.
Pros: The owner N. did her utmost to make us feel at home. The place is wonderful for kids with a pool and large lawn for them to enjoy. Freshly made breakfast was great.
Located a 75-minute drive from Chamonix and a 45-minute drive from Annecy and Geneva, Chalet Les Aigles provides a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and free WiFi. The accommodation features a sauna and a hot tub. There is a seating area in all units. A continental breakfast is served every morning at the property. The bed and breakfast offers a barbecue. Guests at the property can enjoy billiards on site, or cycling in the surroundings. La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand are a 50-minute drive away and Plateau de Glières is a 40-minute drive away. The nearest airport is Geneva Airport, 53 km from Chalet Les Aigles.
Pros: The owners Nathalie & Christophe were friendly & delightful and very good hosts. The chalet is lovely, in a beautiful location tucked against the foot of the mountains, and with a view that stretches far across the valley and beyond to the Jura. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was well prepared with plenty of coffee, and in particular fresh, locally sourced yoghurt & cheeses. We will be booking again.
Cons: Bedroom was a little small but not a problem.
Pros: The owners were very welcoming and the house was spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast products were all locally sourced, very fresh and tasty. There was no specific breakfast time, whenever you wanted to have it Christophe and his wife would have it set out. Views from the rooms were breath-taking and on a clear day you can see Lake Lemon in the distance - amazing!
Cons: We booked here as it was only 3km from the wedding we were attending but due to the steep and winding mountain roads this turned out to be 12km which was too far for a taxi, so we couldn't really have anything to drink. It's far too far away from the town unless you just want a base to go walking or skiing - this is right up the mountain. If you want to be near facilities this is probably not a good idea but if you want a relaxing holiday base, then you can't go wrong.
Pros: Everything, it was perfect!! Friendly owners, clean, comfortable Rooms, owners who couldn’t have been more helpful. We loved it
Pros: This is a family home into which I was made very welcome. I was able to cook my own evening meals and the breakfast served was very good. Such a friendly spot, with fabulous views and access to some super walks. It was very good. You might struggle if you have no French.
Cons: Nothing. It’s a chalet, not an hotel.
Pros: The hosts were incredible, so friendly and helpful. The pool was great. Breakfast excellent. View absolutely amazing!
Cons: Nothing. Great property.
Pros: Beautifull wooden house with perfect view from window. Very friendly owners. Perfect breakfast almost like at home :)
Pros: VERY CLOSE TO SKY
Cons: TOO MANY STEPS TO ARRIVE THE ROOM SMALL ROOM
Pros: A very good, very French breakfast, with fresh local ingredients. Comfortable bed, cosy room. The village is amazing with all the houses constructed in pine, the cows have bells round their necks, and views to Lake Geneva are stunning. A lovely, comfortable place to stay.
Pros: Excellent host with wonderful breakfast of local food !
Pros: Fantastic view, clean and a tasty and pleasant breakfast! Great for Children as they have a garden and large fields surrounding the house to play in.

Featuring a garden, Le Charmagit is situated in La Roche-sur-Foron, 800 metres from Rochexpo. With a terrace, the property also has a shared lounge. Both free WiFi and private parking are available. Lake Geneva is 23 km away while Annecy is 30 km from the property. At the guest house, every room comes with a desk. The rooms are equipped with a private bathroom with a shower and a hair dryer. The rooms have a wardrobe. A continental breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. A range of activities are offered in the area, such as skiing and cycling. Geneva International Airport is 40 km away.
Pros: Excellent place to stay. The host was most helpful. Beautiful bakery around the corner. It was ideal for me as I wanted to see a lot of Switzerland and Le Charmagit was central. Good link roads to all major tourist destinations. Le Charmagit met all my expectations and for the price could not be faulted. Beautiful mountain scenery from balcony.
Cons: My only gripe was that washing hygiene shampo soaps etc were not provided.
Pros: It was on the countryside of south of France, very quiet & charming property. Nice Beautiful courtyard, and the host was very nice & friendly.
Cons: It is a very basic room, there was no soap/ shampoo in the bathroom. Not even hot water/ kettle for coffee or tea. The towels were not soft, bc I think they hang dry their towels. And there was no trash bin in the room, nor was there one in the common area, there was only one small trash bin in the bathroom— which I thought was a bit inconvenient, every time I want to throw the trash, we had to put it into a small bag & hang it by the door bc that small trash bin filled up quickly. I also thought (read somewhere) that we would have access to a kitchen, to cook our own meals, and that was not true. So, I had bought quite a bit of food to cook. Though, the host Marisol was nice when we arrived, and offered to cook the pasta I brought w me, only on that first night — bc we arrived around 9:30pm —a bit late, the restaurants were mostly closed. She did finally put body wash in the bathroom the 2nd day.
Pros: It was a beautiful place to relaxing and to enjoying around. The bed, the shower and all the staffs worked very well. Marisol was very gentile and attentive person. I recommend.
A stay at Hôtel Les Afforêts places you in the heart of La Roche-sur-Foron, a 1-minute drive from Rochexpo and 13 minutes from Golf Club Esery. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, multilingual staff, and an elevator (lift).
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet location.
Cons: Initial room with shower over the bath. Had to ask to be transferred.
Pros: Breakfast was fine. Le Roch is also a nice place.
Cons: The two main bars in the town closed on Saturday evening!
Pros: Good location, central but quietly situated.
Cons: There was no air conditioner so we were rather warm and slightly uncomfortable.
Pros: Great location
Cons: No air con overnight
Pros: Nice place to stay if you have an event or are doing something around that area. Shops and restaurants within walking distance.
Cons: Breakfast is served only until 09.30 Sundays...so we decided not to take it.
Pros: Very friendly staff, located in the centre, comfortable and clean room
Cons: Fridge in the room would have been nice as it was really hot when we stayed there. Water or soft drinks in a vending machine in the lobby would have helped too.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit sparse, but we were late down I guess..
Located in Aviernoz, Hotel Auberge Camelia is in the mountains, within a 15-minute drive of Belvedere Golf and Savoie Annecy University.
Pros: Location was ideal for our motorcycle tour in the French Alps. Staff very helpful and took us on 1 ride.
Cons: Drinks and meals expensive with no real alternative locally.
Pros: Super pet friendly and an outstanding staff.
The chef was outstanding and each evening something new and different, excellent value.
Sue and Roger provided great local information on hiking and sites as well as the local history.
Pros: Silence Location Good breakfast
Cons: 2 floor without elevator No frigider in the room Dinner good but not more
Pros: The hotel was a great starting point for both Annecy where I had to attend a festival, and some really gorgeous hikes, I got some nice suggestions from the owners and glad I followed their directions. It is a very friendly and familiar athmosphere and the breakfast is very varied. Seems to be top location for people that like motorbikes trip, and everyone is very friendly. I would definitely stay again.
Cons: The blue carpet had some dog hair on it, probably from the two little jack russel that live in the premise, but I did not mind that too much. May be an issue for people that don't like animals, although the doggies are adorable and friendly. Same with the noise, if you happen to be right above the dining room like myself you may hear a bit of noise at dinner time, but it's bearable and finishes off rather early.
Pros: Value for money. Free parking downstairs. Hotel is surrounded by beautiful French mountains. Quiet at night. Neighbors are friendly.
Cons: Beds are simple and mattresses move by themselves. There is no lift in hotel. We had to carry a lot of luggage and it was tiring. Except for the hotel itself, there was nothing nearby.
Pros: The hosts were knowledgeable and welcoming. Very helpful in all respects. A delightful staff all round. The Auberge is in a charming rural setting with good access to beautiful Annecy.
Pros: Comfortable bed. Parking.
Cons: Lack of organisation in the restaurant.
Pros: Consummate hosting skills. Inclusive, welcoming yet relaxed atmosphere; entertaining conversation when appropriate; a real home from home within rural, pleasantly rolling pastoral countryside with trees - mountains close but not overpowering.
Pros: This Hotel was perfect for what I wanted while attending classes in Annecy. 20 minutes to the big city but as off the the beaten path as you want. Spent EVERY afternoon on a beautiful hike within 5 to 45 minutes drive. The chef, Tito was first rate and prepared an outstanding dinner for a VERY reasonable price, every evening brought something different. The proprietors Sue and Roger could not have made you feel more welcome or at home. If you are traveling with your pet, I cannot emphasize this more, you will NEVER find a more pet friendly establishment on the planet. (See pic).
Cons: Nothing, perhaps the internet was a little slow but, “who cares”.
Pros: Hospitality was superb, Roger and Suzanne and Tito ( chef) were most accomodating. Lovely stories with a lovely glass of wine and excellent dinner prepared by Tito
Pros: Location. Welcoming. Good local knowledge. Well stocked bar. Home from home.

Pros: Comfortable hotel for an overnight, with a/c and pool.
Cons: Hotel next to a noisy road, ask for rooms on north side, pool area a bit tatty
Cons: In my opinion this is not a 3 stars hôtel max but max 2
Pros: Breakfast was good, lots of choice and fresh products. The best part of this hotel is the husband-wife team who run the place single-handedly. They are friendly, helpful and absolutely charming! The pool is a welcome touch when you come back from hiking in the gorgeous local mountains!
Pros: Lovely hotel, although the owner didnt speak English still managed to communicate. Very clean, rooms were cleaned daily. Comfy beds and pillows, air conditioning was a must. Wasnt ready to check out at the agreed time but were given another hour. Would definately stay again.
Cons: Swimming pool could have been cleaned but was still useable.
Pros: Great location, very clean rooms, great and very nice personal, breakfast with local delicious!
Pros: The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. The evening menu was delicious and well presented. Service received was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travellers.
Pros: Small nice famlily-run hotel, where the owners are doing everything, which means that any special need can be arranged: don't worry if you need to borrow a spoon for the baby... The swimming pool is large, the water is nice and the solar-powered shower near the pool is just hot & nice. The pool is definitely a highlight for this hotel.
Cons: The hotel is old, so the facilities are average, but that's what you expect anyway from a 2-star hotel.
Pros: Functional hotel with warm welcome and good breakfast

Pros: Very friendly staff, amazing big and comfortable room, very good breakfast, romantic and quiet lication, excellent restaurant
Pros: absolutely overrated, dinner was excellent, breakfast was not fresh and hosts were not friendly. too expensive for what you get
Cons: the room and bathroom was too small for four people. you had to climb up two sets of stairs, the hosts were not very friendly and they just seemed to be business people.
Pros: The location, view and the restaurant are great for celebraion events
Cons: The attitude was not very customer-focussed/friendly. The hotel side of the experience is not great (room not very clean, no toiletries really, tiny bathroom for a family..)

Pros: Fantastic quiet country location excellent restaurant
