Pros: Room was big and bed very comfy
Cons: Breaksfast price expensive
Pros: I have stayed a few times at this hotel. It is situated at a private island that is perfect for a quiet and relaxing short stay. I enjoy cycling around (they have bicycles) and a really nice swimming pool and beach area (that works only in summer, apparently).
Cons: (1) Breakfast (service, food served) was bad. The buffet was unavailable, due to them having few guests. The hot food (benedict eggs, scrambled eggs) were objectively not great, they messed up two orders, some food was not available for order, and they would never ever look in our direction. We waited over ten minutes to order a few more things until I got up, walked to the bar and got the menus. Then I walked up again 10 minutes later to finally order, since he would not come, and then told me we probably would not get the cheese sandwich because the kitchen was closed (it was 5 minutes after breakfast had finished). In the end, it came, but they messed it up and put meat in it. Worth mentioning that there was a dedicated employee for the breakfast area and we were the only guests for the entire duration we were there. Suggestion for the kitchen: you should offer simpler choices (e.g. a british breakfast plate) for the sake of simplicity, and due to the inability to provide quality “fancier” options. (2) Not clean: Hairs in our bedroom - huge chunk in the bathroom floor, some in our bed (including two inside the bedsheets). The toilet seat has a yellow tint on the crotch and butt sides (from usage), so it also doesn’t add to the cleanliness image. (3) swimming pool and beach closed - they don’t maintain it out of the summer months. Understandable, but they should mention it before they charge 70€ when it’s 26° outside. In summary, we paid a premium to stay in what could be described as a limited-offer overpriced 3-star hotel
Cons: No character
Pros: Beautiful surroundings. Very quiet. Not crowded
Pros: A beautiful hotel on an island in the middle of a swanp/reservoir. Spectaculair! Also has a equally spectaculair golf course on the site. Very friendly staff and good restaurant!
Cons: Absolutly nothing!
Pros: Rooms have a king size bed and they are very comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool due to the cold weather but it looks very nice!
Pros: We were here to play golf and the golf course is tops 10 out of 10. A long drive to get here in the first place but well worth it.
Cons: The hotel is isolated and shares some facilities with whoever runs the villa owners club. You enter the shared pool through the social club but you cannot use the social club. The pool is run down and has mould growing on the poolside walls. The sunshades are literally falling apart and you are told you must use only blue sun loungers. There is a beach club near the pool which you can use but you cannot charge anything to your room, it closes when it wants and does not always have food available. We tried to get food in the hotel cafeteria at 9:45 in the evening and were looked at like we were from another planet. The next night the waiter wouldn’t even come and serve us until we reported him to the restaurant manager who then instructed someone else to serve us. The hotel is well maintained but the staff are very insular even rude and will not go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is what you are looking for, infact they are more interested in having an easy life themselves. See the restaurant opening times on the posters that are posted around the hotel with smiley faces of the times they judge except able to eat
With a stay at Parador De Oropesa Toledo in Oropesa, you'll be 20.8 mi (33.4 km) from Sierra de Gredos Regional Park and 8 mi (12.8 km) from Río Tiétar. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and a safe deposit box at the front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: What an experience. Great views. Good food and very comfortable. Well worth the visit
Pros: Lovely hotel. Excellent mix of old and modern. Great public areas to suit any party size. I covet a sofa and also a one and a half chair!! Excellent breakfast with views across the Plains. I know hotels and this one is just lovely! In my view I think 8.7 would be about right but this system doesn't let me get to that.
Cons: Parking. We arrived at 2100 and found the whole area in front of reception cordoned of by a rope so, along with several others, parked outside the Parador walls. No big deal but what was the point? 30 odd car parking spaces unavailable and still so in the morning?
Pros: Beautifully restored castle. Note that you don’t stay in the medieval part, which is opposite the hotel, but the renaissance building you stay in is outstanding. We liked sitting on the terrace having drinks before dinner as the sun set on the castle turrets. The views from the castle were also striking.
Cons: The website said that the pool would be closed from mid September. However it clearly wasn’t closed in early October, which was a shame as we may have planned differently had we known.
Pros: Wonderful location and interesting and historical building. The service was very good. We had Gloria to serve us a few times and she was very nice!
Cons: Did not care for the male receptionists. They were not courteous and not kind to our request under such an emergency to extend one more night to stay due to the Corona V, insisting the price of room fractures daily. We paid more in spite of staying same room under same condition.
Pros: Service and atmosphere
Cons: Beds were very hard as well as having a 7ft pillow which should be invidual one for each person
Pros: Lovely castle-based Parador. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Unfortunately, there was some confusion with our booking.com invoice price. We had to pay extra for the breakfast for the second person staying in the room even though our invoice said it was included.
Pros: Space and breakfast awesome
Cons: room isolation can improve
Pros: Parador quality. Location. Accessibility. Professional staff.
With a stay at Valdepalacios in Torrico, you'll be 26.1 mi (42 km) from Sierra de Gredos Regional Park and 9.8 mi (15.8 km) from Ciudad de Vascos Ruins. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, a 24-hour front desk, and multilingual staff. Free valet parking is available onsite.
Pros: Extremely Relaxing, perfect place to unwind and enjoy life
Pros: the location was excellent , and the massage spa facility excellent , one of the best massages I have had
Cons: we arrived out of season the outside pool was grubby , ie not clean really , main problem was the wasp infestation that was a kilometre away but they were attracted to the location , the owners should of made us aware of this problem , unfortunately my partner was stung and had a very bad reaction which basically ruined the stay . It was not the owners fault that this occurred but they gave us no warning of the problem and it was something that they were perfectly aware of , this is not a cheap hotel by any means two nights cost over a thousand pounds for that money in a location basically in the country side you want the best this we didn't get . We would of been better off staying in the near by Parador . This hotel has a 1 star Michelin but even that we missed out on as the chef was off the days we stayed !!!
Pros: Everything about this hotel is fabulous - the building and property are gorgeous, rooms are spacious and bed was very comfortable, very attentive and helpful staff, and the Michellin starred restaurant meal was very special. A wonderful relaxing getaway sure to charge your batteries.
Cons: The only negative is that the informal restaurant and poolside service is a little expensive.
Pros: The garden, the furnitures, the pool. And the privacy, in particular as we were the only customers in the hotel. The room was available immediately at 12am, check in was done in seconds, and we could keep our room deep in the afternoon.
Cons: The food.: limited vegetarian choice for the main meals ( all in all four dishes), no apple juice, no fresh bread in the morning, and aperitives are with either almond or olives, nothing else possible. There is too much space for the lounges inside, and not much outside ( but the garden is great). The pool is not infinity ( so cleanliness was OK, but not great) There is not much to visit around. Indeed the nice places worth visiting ( Toledo, Caceres, Placencia) are over one hour drive.
With a stay at El Huesped del Sevillano in Lagartera, you'll be 27.8 mi (44.8 km) from Sierra de Gredos Regional Park and 6.5 mi (10.4 km) from Río Tiétar. Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, luggage storage, and an elevator. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Above average for the price
Cons: Popular with locals in the morning for coffee and breakfast
Pros: A taste of the real Spain. No English spoken but the hospitality and helpfulness were second to none. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and provided a great base to visit the Peninsula War battlefields and other important locations in the area. Completely satisfied.
Cons: No internet connection for the credit card machine.
Pros: Close to Oropesa, a historic town. Vast car park in front of the hotel. Quite at night. Off season, you might have to call the owner by phone.
Pros: I would not eat dinner there! Over charge me. I guess I was women American traveling alone Grilled lamb with glass red vino one gin tonic With two large bottles of water €37.50. That has to be most expensive meal since I been to Spain. It’s a hunting lodge very basic room. Dogs are welcome!!
Cons: Over charge the dinner
Pros: Simple rustic accommodation, hotel and bedrooms very clean, staff super friendly and helpful. Oropesa is 5km away and is a beautiful little town.
Cons: A car essential as the location is remote.

Cons: Shower holder needs a fix, but we patched it ok
Pros: Cheap and cheerful.
Cons: Quiet dinner at nearby restaurant turned somewhat nasty when a row between two locals ended up with a beer bottle being smashed over another mans head. Calamari was also a little over cooked.
Cons: Power cut, no electricity in the morning or hot water and no one in the premises.
Pros: The room is clean and confortable. The personal is welcoming. The hotel is in the city center of Oropesa, close to the castle.
Pros: The room was nice and clean.
Cons: The promised nice view in booking.com doesn´t exist. There is just a view on the street. The much more worse was, that the restaurant was closed, so no breakfast or dinner was possible in the house. No hint nowhere, that it will be closed, not even at the door of the restaurant. It is really bad, if the informations of the webside aren´t right.

Pros: Our room was small but very cosy. We really enjoyed relaxing on the patio. Breakfast was very good, but rather small for a cyclist.
Cons: When checking-in we were offered two options for dinner. Because we didn't really liked either of them, we asked if there's a bar in the village to eat something small. She said yes, but unfortunately we could only eat some croquettes in the after-noon (which was fine) but we couldn't find a bar offering food on dinner-time. So we ended up eating bread and what was left in our panier-bags for dinner.
Pros: The quietness of the village. A very peaceful place.
Cons: I didn’t like the building work being undertaken on an adjoining property.

Pros: Modern and stylish accommodation offering great value for money. Although above a bar/restaurant there was no noise disturbance. Bar offers simple but surprisingly good dishes at very reasonable prices. Very helpful and welcoming staff.
Cons: Not so easy to find - our satnav didn’t recognise the street address! - and central location could potentially make parking tricky....we were very lucky though and were able to park immediately outside!
Pros: Fresh new design.
Cons: It was not clean.
Pros: Nice, spacy rooms
Cons: The appartments are located just above a bar, which may cause some rumour at night...
Pros: Staff were very kind. My girl is vegan and they cook for her food that she carries for the trip.
Cons: In the restaurant. The delay between you request for food and waiter give it you . But we don’t mind to wait because we know the village was in a celebration and it was normal. The restaurant was crowd . Definitely it was a exception in those days.

Pros: The room was quite good and also quite clean. The position is good for a night stop on the way.
