The management and staff dedication to service, professionally run.It should qualify as 4*. I liked all aspects. The hotel was a very pleasant experience
Swimming pool and location We stayed at 5 different hotels in the region, Vila Park was no better or worse on average, but cost nearly as half as much again.
This hotel is perfect for rual tourism, if you interested to see Portuguese countryside that is. Although it is fairly close to beaches and Santo Andre lake, you will still need a car to get to them. There is absolutely nothing within walking distance and the local transportation is very few, if non-existant. The carpet that covers the corridors and the rooms must be thoroughly cleaned or better, replaced.
food / no english menu
The service from staff and the lovely pool area. Also games and play area for children was good.
great price great hotel and no fuss, booking was all ok, no hiches
Staff kindness; good food and good breakfast for 3* hotel Lack of information about possibility of cots in a double room and politic of children charge by age.
Very helpful staff, very good standard of rooms and public areas, good restaurant with sensible pricing, and easy parking. No,everthing was first rate.
Very nice swimming pool and excellent breakfast buffet. This is more a business hotel. Too far away from the beach. Restaurant is very uncausy.
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Secure parking. Spotless room. In the middle of town. Free wireless internet. Bar reasonably priced. Small but adequate bathroom. No restaurant but buffet breakfast and limited room service.
Very clean hotel. Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast.
Location Lack of quality in the products used for the breakfast, specifically in the coffee taste which is absolutely undrinkable. The room was not cleaned when the keys were given, and quickly done after, but ....!!!!
Wonderfully helpful and friendly service staff.
I was quite happy about all the hotel's facilities. Noise from the family in the room next door.
There was a garage that was locked during the night time.
Very friendly staff and clean rooms
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms excellent.
We thought the building and grounds were beautiful. The furnishings and decoration were a lovely blend of traditional and modern. The room was well proportioned with a spacious bathroom and large balcony. The swimming pool and shower area were excellent. The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The surrounding area was historically interesting. Could not fault the hotel itself but more signs/directions through the village would be helpful. Also, the only nearby restaurant was closed when we were there except for weekends.
The location near minas do lousal
Nice pool facilities, clean & nicely designed rooms. Quiet country side atmosphere. For the location, it needs an in house restaurant. A little expensive considering how far out the location is.
Good hospitality and comfort
The most incredible place we've been to. Has both comfort and style, and, above all, very nice owners.
Relaxing and peaceful location. Very lovely staff especially Gisele. A little more out of the way than expected, although that feature became more appreciated as the days wore on. Would have liked our own cooking area rather than communal outdoor kitchen.
Very warm welcome from the hosts - very friendly, very helpful. Based in the countryside - very tranquil and relaxing with the sounds of cow bells. Nice view of countryside from our room. All the other hotels we visited offered much more luxurious accomodation for a similar price. Our booking confirmation said a 'Full English Breakfast is included' but we received a standard continental breakfast. Pillows smelled stale.
Friendly, helpful owners. Peace and quiet in beautiful countryside, with easy access to all the beaches. Superb restaurants in easy distance (15 minutes by road).
The peace and quiet. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. An improvement would be to have either cooking facilities in the room or communal bbq area, table and crockery, cutlery for use. Nearby village had only 1 restaurant and if wanted to go somewhere different the next time it involved a 12km or 15km drive. The setting of hotel was so beautiful it would have been lovely to have been able to dine there and enjoy a glass or two of wine.
Very nice people, excellent view, peaceful, calm. Consider installing a more effective cooling system in the bedrooms.
