Leaving! We arrived @7pm on a Sunday (pre-booked) to find everything locked. a notice on the door requested "ring bell" which put us through to a man who said he would be with us in 40 minutes! After some time he arrived... a security man! He let us into the front reception area only so he could pick up a room key. Directed us to the back of the building. Squeezed the car through a heavy iron security gate. a louvered prison type door was the entrance to our cell for the night. Required a security code to open (memorize or be locked out). Opened this door to be faced with another steel security door (solid and perhaps airtight this time) which required a key to open. No windows! Breakfast in a cellar. Don't go there, it's a horrible place!
Very friendly. Duplex room with a cold living room and a hot bedroom. In town there was no restaurant. The manager send us to one that was for him top but it was an improved bar. You could order whatever because the had nothing in house. After ordering they went to the closed shop to buy it.
The bed was really comfortable and big. The whole room was completely new, so everything was nice and fresh. The location was near the sea, however not for swimming. There were restaurants in the neighbourhood. The b&b was really hard to find because it was in a closed community, very weird location for a hotel. It appeared to be a house of an older couple and they had made a few rooms for guests in the cellar. The room was in the cellar part of the house of the owners, so there was not a lot of light. Only a small strip of windows about 30cm high. Also there was no ventilation in the room, only in the hall so that it got really muggy at night. There was AC in the hall, but we didn't want to leave the door to the room open! The bathroom had a very low ceiling, being 1.90m long I could just stand up straight in the shower. There was only a small hole in the ceiling of the shower to the garden for ventilation. Breakfast we had early because we had take an early flight home. Therefore, the bread was really dry (the owner apoliogised that it was too early to buy fresh bread, but I thought, what about the freezer??). We got a boiled egg, cream cheese and jam, that was it. So very simple. The lady couldn't speak a word english.
