The location was excellent The single room was very small
location small room, elevator not accessible at all times (had to carry luggage down two flights of stairs in early morning)
Location excellent, a llittle difficult to get close to it with a car.
The 4 people we encountered at the front desk over the period of our visit did not speak any languages except Spanish.
in town center but quiet! No English service. I want a hairdry but not successful. And not very convienient for the car to send the luggage to the hotel, but it's not the hotel's mistake.
Great location, just a few minutes walk to the Cathedral, cafes/restaurants, and the Acqueduct. Hotel staff parks your car for you in a nearby garage. N/A
The room was really clean! No wireless in room. However, they did say wireless is available in public areas.
Best possible location!
Wonderful location. Nice facility. Very comfortable Everything was fine. WIFI reception was a bit weak in the rooms.
This hotel is beatifully appointed in both the public spaces and the room in which we stayed (307). Our room had a private terrace with a view of the castle. The location is perfectly situated in the old town, close to everything, yet on a quiet street. No, we loved everything.
staff was very accommodating and professional. They all from the room maid to the reception clerk delivered an excellent service.
very close to old town & very quiet, nice room but very difficult to find parking
Historic building, friendly and helpful staff. Overall a great a stay for the money. Really close to the aqueduct, cathedral not far. Small things give the hotel character but may bother some people: elevator does not hit all floors because there are half-level floors, hard to find, water ran out (momentarily) while showering - cleaning staff hosing down the patio.
It is difficult to arrive there, and there are not reserved space to park, to pick up the luggage. The light in the bed roon is poor, and the air conditionnes sistem works from reception
location near the aqueduct, convenient to main roads
Outstanding location; wonderful staff; a classy place because it was in a busy area, it was not as quiet as we would have liked.
I had a great experience. Asked for a quiet room and was very pleased. Peaked ceilings, beams, views of the church steeple next door, clean bathroom with pretty blue tiles, great shutters that blocked out the light. If you take the AVE to Segovia and take the public bus to the town center, it´s a 10 min. walk. It´s listed on the Lonely Planet guidebook map, so I didn´t have many problems finding it. Public computer had very quick connection.
Good location close to all the attractions of Segovia. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Free outdoor parking or discounted underground parking, both within 5 minutes walk. Helpful staff. Sound insulation between rooms needs to be improved and it is probably time for some general updating, e.g. replacing 14" TVs.
Location was good The walls are paper thin. We could hear everything going on in the adjoining room - talking, tv, etc. Aside from this, the hotel was nice but there is no way I would recommend it to anyone unless they intend to sleep with earplugs in.
A word of caution for those who are less mobile: The hotel sits below the most direct route to the cathedral and main plaza, which means there's some fairly significant uphill and stair climbing.
Big rooms and decor that reflected it's background as a palace.Quiet location in the city centre.
Location and price Small room
Secure parking, staff very helpful and polite, good value-for-money meals served with a smile. None
Good value accommodation, clean and comfortable with secure parking for small supplement. Short drive to city centre.
The staff were so helpful and pleasant . We had a dog with us and they had no problems with that. We used the secure car parking underneath as we were on our way to holiday in France and the car was absolutely full, they locked up after us . The actual room was quite large , with a small balcony , and the bathroom was fine . Easy to drive into the city from here , although a bit of a walk in the heat of the summer. Pillows !! Awfully uncomfortable , like sleeping on a brick !!
Close enough to Segovia, quiet location, and good value for an overnight stop. We booked this hotel because it was the nearest to Segovia that would allow dogs. If you were on a budget the accommodation is all that you need, but nothing luxurious. The smell of cigarette smoke throughout the hotel, although luckily, our room, which we requested to be non-smoking didn't smell of smoke.
good staff, excellent position just outside segovia in countryside.very happy as chosen only on being dog friendly and price.would stay again
excellent value meal in hotel restaurant and first class waiter it was a bt noisy
A group of us were travelling from a walking holiday in the Picos de Europa and were heading back to the Costa Blanca, but wanted to visit Segovia en-route. This Hotel was an excellent stop-over, clean and convenient. The evening meal was real value for money.
On a main road out of Segovia, but the SatNav could not find it and I had to askpeople in Segovia 3 times to be directed to this hotel. Dinner not very good as only a choice of 2 starters and 2 main course, though the price incled a bottle of wine and was reasonable at €17.50 for 2 persons. Local people writing slogans in white paint on the road outside the hotel, they seem towant automony from the rest of Spain.
Convenience to Segovia, with parking security, helpfullness of staff and all round value for money - excellent WIFI in room breakfast buffet very basic
Excellent location--room with fresh paint & carpet had terrific view of cathedral and city, very friendly staff Parking was a bit of a challenge
central location and very helpful staff Very limited parking on site and hotel starting to get a bit shabby, but still acceptable
The view on the acquaduct.
The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel was centrally located with very convenient parking.
The hotel is directly across the street from the bus station so it is very convenient if you are using the bus. The room I was in had a great view of the city including both the Cathedral and the Aqueduct Staff was friendly. Room was dated with twin beds instead of one double. Carpet was new or cheap. Color transfered to the towels when they were used to clean up spills. Dinner was not very tasty the one night I had it there.
free mini bar!!!and kindly staff!!
Beds very comfortable on-site restaurant menu limited in the evening
The receptionists were friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The woman who received us acted as a Tourist Information officer, and made suggestions about sights to see, and walking routes. The room was shabby and run-down, with tired decor. The high-season price we paid seemed steep given the facilities.
Very nice hotel, for the money, friendly staff and they spoke exellent english.
Friendly staff; location close to the central bus station Breakfast was not included; no Wifi on the hotel rooms
Very near to the historical part of Segovia, nice hotel, helpfull hotel staff, the bus number 12 takes you from and to the train station and stops in front of the hotel.
Location was excellent A bit of noice and the air conditioner was not working that well as the room was quite hot.
Location to sights very good. Easy to find and as the hotel has its own garage (€10), your car is secure. Boring modern with noisy aircon doubling as heater.
The hotel was located within walking distance of the aquiducts at Plaza del Azoguejo. Garage parking available. Staff did give directions to local sights. The Wifi was terrible in the room and very slow in the reception area. When I reported the problem staff said No one else has complained. When I asked about the Gym and the Sauna they told be they were having problems and the facilities were not available. I wish they would have stated that on their posting. The water in the bath was warm but not Hot. I tried at different times and got adequate warm water at off peak hours. Otherwise it was barely warm. The bathrooms looked old.
We used this hotel for a stopver whist driving home from Southern Spain. It was convenient for siteseeing in Segovia being close to the city centre. The room was small and with a view over a building site. Typical city centre hotel
Good location, efficient staff.
Convenient location, secure parking, friendly, helpful staff, walking distance to the sights of Segovia, Spain.
Very helpful and friendly staff Floor was pretty sandy.
Quiet and very new and clean. It's a good place for the price, but a bit far from Segovia. Choose only if you have a car.
The manager was very helpful, changing the television for us when it did not work, and finding a bath plug for me. The bedroom window looked out onto the main square of the village. The internet was free, wi-fi and fast. There have obviously been problems with a lack of plugs in the bathrooms, the television(s) were very old and the digital signal intermittent (World Cup was in progress). Madrona is a very quiet small village, there are no shops and the local bar charged a lot for drinks and food, though the other bars may be more reasonable. Hotel virtually empty - we saw and heard no other guests during our stay. It is a 10-minute + drive from Segovia with no apparent public transport, the name of the village was omitted from the paperwork, so we telephoned for directions from Segovia.
Segovia 10 minutes by car. Good place to stay if visiting Segovia. Comfortable and probabely most of the year calme. I happend to stay the night of madronas local fiesta. Loved to watch local dances. Later in the night a bit noisy. Fiesta in face of the hotel. As the owner informed me in advance it was up tu me to stay. And I din't regret it.
nothing in particular there was no staff when we arrived. we had to wait a few hours before anyone turned up. we thought this hotel was in Segovia, but it was about 20 minutes drive from the centre
Close to the highway, 10 km from Segovia. Clean room. No elevator,
Nice location, close to town but away from parking challenges. We particularly enjoyed observing through our window at a family of storks nesting on the top of town church. Breakfast included in the price was kind of small, but it was not our priority.
We only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early. The hotel provided a comfortable bed for the night. The plumbing was quite noisy,
pleasant accommodation & good price breakfasts make no provison for people with diabetes
Located in a peaceful, almost sleepy country village several miles away from Salamanca. Easy access to Segovia centre and aqueduct. Friendly welcome, attractive decor and, from our room, a great view of the church and nesting storks.
Really nice hotel in central location. Very clean and nice staff. However, we were staying there on a friday night and there is a bar downstairs - the music kept us up almost all night.
Big queen size bed was fantastic and that was only rivalled by the size of the towels. Staff were friendly and helpful even though they weren't able to speak much english. Double glazing blocked out most noise so we got a good night's sleep. Good location, walking distance to the Alcazar and the Aquaduct and plenty of pubs and restaurants. The bus stop is right out the front. Wifi was a little spotty.
Thanks to bookin.com I got a mid week brilliant deal at a hotel that to be honest I would not normally afford. Natura is just beautiful. What a treat! The best bed and the softest pillows. Pretty, boutique hotel. Bathroom with super modern shower. Fabulous position at Colon hill, buses at door, and with 5 -10 minute short cuts down thru and to shops and aquaduct. Under 5 minutes stroll in the other direction brings you to Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral and a further 10 minutes to the fabulous Alcazar. Dont miss any of them! Plenty of choices and price range of cafes food restaurants along the way. Closer still, a great little restaurant underneath meant an easily accessible great value breakfast, excellent coffes and tapas thru the day This place was perfecto!!!!!
Great!!!!! Nice room!!!!
Kind stuff, nice and big room. Very next to the main square. It's located in a bit noisy street.
Nice room, tasteful decoration, clean, warm and soft bed with sweet pillows. Very easy to walking from the bus station, about 15 minutes. Located in the center of the city, easy to go around the attractions. Wifi is not so good
Hotel was conveniently located to Motorway, Free Wi-Fi In a strange gated community - somewhat run down. Hotel rooms very tired. Breakfast Buffet looked like it had been out for hoiurs.
The hotel needs refurbishment. Paint peeling. The furnishings were shabby and the toilet did not work. Air conditioning was extremely poor. Hours of swimming pool were restricted - not open until 5pm on saturday and not at all sunday afternoon. Swimming cap compulsory but not provided free of charge. Nowhere to sit outside. Pool remained covered even though outside temperature was 28 degrees
It was a comfortable and relaxing hotel, the hotel staff was more than accomodating. That I was not informed that the hotel was not in short distance of the town I was visiting but rather 22km away.
The ambience and room were lovely and the restaurant was outstanding. It was a great place to recover from our international flight before touring Spain. The town is very small and there was no place to stroll and walk around for more than a short distance.
we could not stop as long as planned but the time we had was wonderful As we are English we found it hard in the restaurant to understand the menu. It was also quite expensive
Very stylish, comfortable, clean hotel. Excellent value for money. Room as good as paradors. Restuarant very expensive but Taberna on site is good value basic food.
Spa and interesting setting
Beautiful setting, spacious accomodations, fantastic pool and very very friendly and helpful staff. We were impressed at the speed of laundry service and other benefits of staying at a quality, quiet and serene hotel. The manager and his team made his feel very welcome and gave us excellent dining and sightseeing advice. Breakfast was generally good -- would be great to have a better variety of quality cereals (muesli, granola) and dried fruit in addition to the heavy sugary and meat/cheese selections.
Very nice bar to have a beer in the sun. Nice store of stuff from Africa. Excellent room and good breakfast included in the rate Had to book to use spa and stay limited to 1 hour. Should inform previously that swimming cap is mandatory
Everything is excellent. I strongly recommend this hotel.
no food of any kind on the night we stayed.bar/lounge closed 9pm so we had to retire to our room with no english t.v.channels
The hotel had the most reasonable rate to the quality of the room when compared to all of the other hotels we stayed at in Spain. The room had a patio balconey, mini-bar, safe, huge bathroom. Ask for rooms # 16, 14 or 18. If traveling by car it would pay to stay in this hotel as it is very close to Segovia. Excellent buffet breakfast which was included in the rate.
The friendliness and efficiency of the hotel staff.
good location pleasant staff good all round no hairdryer in room
Very friendly staff and a peerfect location with a view of the aqueduct. Noises from neighbouriung rooms
Unexpectedly very luxirous for 3-star hotel Switching off the central heating at night
Its location next to the Aquaduct is outstanding. Hotel is tired and in need of refurb. Hotel garage is a long way from the hotel.
The quality of the kitchen is fabulous! If the restaurant keeps this high standard, it will soon be one of the best (and busiest) in the environment. The hotel is brand new, so for the staff in the restaurant it's sometimes a bit searching, but they manage it on a professional way. Fully equipped breakfast. Staff of the reception, excellent! Only ten minutes walk to city centre, along the aqueduct. We have hardly no comment, but if we have to... the hotel-music on the hallway, sometimes to loud.
Situation. Very unusual hotel in a monastery, restaurant in the cloisters unique in our experience. Attached museum with resident nuns. The service for clients suffered badly when a wedding was held in the hotel.
The location of the hotel was good For a 4 star hotel with 4 star price tag, the room was very small. Probably ok for 1 person but not as a double. We felt the hotel was over-rated in general. We would not stay here again.
Beautiful new hotel (just one month open), with great atmosphere The staff particular in the bar & restaurant area needs much more training still. This will enhance the experience dramatically. If you serve a boiled egg at breakfast, please make sure it is somewhat boiled and not 90% raw!
The decor and atmosphere. Staff were discreet but attentive. no
Friendly and helpful staff, great location, excellent facilities with tasteful decor and ambience, good restaurant, free parking on site, located at the end of the Segovia aquaduct, 5 minutes walk from the old town centre. As for seemingly everywhre in Spain the room lights were quite dim.
Beautifully built inside part of a still-existing monastery complex. Cloister is part of the hotel. Personnel were friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good. Note that it is not right in the historic center, however it is very quiet and just a 15 minute walk to the center. The roman aqueduct begins just outside the hotel. Just walk along it and you are in the center of town.
Peacefull and relaxing Bathroom was cramped. The bidet was squeezed in a corner and to put the bath plug before running a bath was awkwrad to say the least - we found it easier to climb in first.
The location was great. Even though it wasn't in the heart of the city, it was just a quick 5 minute walk following the aqueduct down to the sites. The facilities were beautiful inside and out. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. And they had parking. Although we didn't drive, I think the parking would be a nice perk if driving to Segovia.
I enjoyed and very much appreciated the high pressure shower head after long day of walking. The buffet breakfast was very good. Even though it was expensive to stay here, I would come back to stay here again. The room was small and for the price, I was expecting a nice view from the window.
The most charming hotel I have ever stayed in; had the feel of home. The internet was reliable and a nice, homey breakfast was included. From our room, the view of the countryside was spectacular. Parking is on the street and free, as is the internet. Nothing.
very convienient and relaxing after a long drive, taxi into town 6euros,plenty of eating choices quite expensive compared to other paradors even on the golden years rate
Lovely position over looking the town. Dining room terrace was idylic Although in a dominant positio above the town the directions to get to it were very poor
The setting is stunning, beautiful views over Segovia, relaxing and only five or so euros to city centre in a taxi or 40 minute walk, good for burning off the calories!
comfort, convenience, the view, the architecture and the value for money (with the discount)
It was clean, comfortable and the staff were excellent, helpful and friendly. For our needs, everything was catered for, in future we will know not to take pool towels, toiletries etc. Breakfast was a delight, so much choice. Absolutely nothing
The public lounges, bar and terrace all have spectacular views of Segovia. Very comfortable hotel.
beautiful place, great breakfast, amazing views
This a very ncie hotel in lovely spanish old style town with lots of streets and shops to explore nice to walk around, the parador hotel is just out of town with fantasitc views over the city
Cycling from hotel into Segovia Internet going off for two days
This was our second visit to the Parador de Segovia and enjoyed our stay again. This time we were with our 6 year old daughter and enjoyed the swimming pool, views from our room as well as the food and staff in the restaurant (breakfast & dinner). When we checked in we were given a room with out a view. The next morning the staff changed our room to accommodate our request for a view when we made the reservation 6 weeks prior. We appreciate the great service!
beautiful hotel, great price spa cost our family over $100 for 2 hours.
nicely furnished, quiet and elegant house. Very nice personal. Nice rooms and a large lobby. No opportunity to sit outside. A real pity. Schwimming pool outside closed (26 ° C-sunny weather). No internet point for customers. The personal should be trained in speaking foreign languages.
Excellent facility, comfortable rooms
The rooms are excellent Room service menu poor and the food poor quality had to be sent back. No facilites in room for tea/coffee and room service not 24 hours. If you leave before 7.30am no breakfast. Does not offer the experience of a four star hotel.
Comfort and restaurant staff as well as very good meals The bar staff were very un friendly
The all round experience was perfect. The decor throughout the public areas and our room was beautiful. I can't imagine what is lacking for 5 star classification. Nothing
The room was excellent. We also enjoyed the pool facilities. Bar prices were too high.
excelent new hotel. the rooms are big and comfortable at a good price. Is quite out of town, is hard to move around without a car. 1 After we left we wrote to enquire about a mobile that perhap we left in the room, but w never got an answer
Excellent choice of breakfast Maybe a more diverse selection of food for lunch
easy to get to the centre of Segovia by car but not an ideal location for a visit to this city. the staff were 'off hand' particularly the staff in the cafe/bar. it was a very expensive hotel but there were dirty corners in the room, clearly not done properly.
Excellent value accommodation Restaurant expensive
we had the fastest booking in that we have ever experienced , it was curteous and efficient and we were in our room within 4 mins of arriving, the breakfast is definately worth having there was a lot of choice and plenty of it.
The location was excellent and the room very spacious, which is nice with young children.
Central location to historical sights. The wonderful renovation that has been completed authentically. The reception staff were efficient, very kind and helpful. The breakfast (included) was one of the best we have ever had. Segovia is a must see place to visit!
Location and quality of the hotel also the furnishings were excellent Bathroom needs a shelf to place all your toiletries on, mirror needs a small strip light to light up what is an area of importance to many users
Very well located, just off the main plaza. Comfortable room with good sized bathroom. Staff were very helpful. The breakfast was nothing special. Parking not at hotel but it can be arranged at a nearby garage and the woman who takes and returns your car was excellent. 15 euros/night
The central location was excellent.
decoration, helpfulness of staff no, everything was good
Lovely view of the cathedral from the roof top terrace - thank you!
We were able to get a 3 person room with a proper third bed for our daughter (not a sofa or fold out bed). Breakfast is a little expencive if the teenager only eats one pan au choc', otherwise it was good
Nicely appointed restaurant with good service and the set menu was good value.
A good clean inexpensive hotel, large rooms, excellent breakfast, and free car parking on site.
It was a good location about a half hour walk or 5 euro taxi from the old city, and quiet at night. The breakfast was OK for the money they charged Hotel was in desperate need of remodelling-threadbear carpets, soft mattresses, etc. Also pool was closed-opened seasonally. This would have impacted our reason for staying there.
Very nice hotel, not far from the center of Segovia. Free wifi.
Service free parking
The bedrooms need to be soundproofed as you could hear people talking in the adjacent bedroom and when they have the T.V. on at midnight it is impossible to sleep!!!!! Also the Reception staff were not very welcoming.
Its silence at night. You should be by car, because it is a bit far from the monuments
The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The reception staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming - never a smile in sight. The hotel seems to cater to business meetings and large groups so not a good choice for independent travelers looking for some advice.
Clean, functional and spacious.Location fine for us as we parked near, but outside the city and walked in.Easy to find and convenient for visiting other towns. Good value. Staff polite and helpful.A good cheap menu del dia just up the road at a nearby hotel. Rooms very poorly insulated - could hear everything in the surrounding rooms surprising in a 4 star hotel.
Excelent value for money and very good setting in the plaza mayor of Segovia. Cosy deco with a romantic /old fashion look in a period building, the stairs are worth seeing. Very nice restaurant, cosy, warm and calming with excelent menu. The staff in the hotel was lovely but we found the restaurant staff a little bit cold and we even felt a bit unconfortable a couple of times.
I am sorry we did not enjoy our stay at this hotel On a cold wet evening we would like to have been able to sit in the hotel to read. There was no room in the foyer to do this as it is a small area and was already occupied by other guests. Our room was small and had only one chair so we did not enjoy our stay there.
Everything! Location, view, price, helpfulness of staff. We stayed at Plaza Mayor with a balcony view of the cathedral/ plaza.
Very Centrally located. Valet parking was a big plus. Rooms excellent no
convenient situation for all the sights. clean simple rooms, comfortable beds, very good value for money
location, had to wait 20 mins for car to be brought back from garage, when we were in a hurry to get out.PLane to catch! Not really hotel fault as 2 other guests had checked out minutes before asking for their cars, but maybe a back up garage attendant to speed up getting car in emergencies. Also asked for view of cathedral at booking and didnt get it.
very good breakfast, for genuine gourmands Oh, they have a big technical problems, so big, that they have in their staff one special man-engineer, who runs from room to room to open the disorder doors, repair the showers and so on. And the rooms are so little that if you are not a Liliputian it is difficult for you to live there.
This hotel occupies great location right on the Plaza Mayor, it has lovely large rooms with high ceilings and has a traditional feel, while at the same time providing flat screen tv and wifi. Staff were helpful and the price was unbeatable. No
close to historic places no matrimonial bed
This was certainly one of the nicest hotels I saw in Segovia. Also, it's right on Plaza Mayor so it's hard to miss (some hotels are located on side streets). Outside Madrid, it is much harder to find English speaking staff-- and Segovia is no exception. While they were very accommodating, getting detailed instructions was sometimes a challenge.
Beautiful hotel, large comfortable rooms, friendly efficient staff
We asked several staff members to direct us to the pool and then again in the spa area so that we could take a swim but were told that unless we purchased a spa treatment we could not enter the pool area. We never did get to see or swim in the pool.
had a wonderful nights sleep in comfortable beds with completely blacked out rooms, I came to visit my daughter in nearby segovia and feel that it is a great place to stay providing you have a car
Although this hotel looks stunning, the rooms miss the character and personality that we do find in other paradores. The spa is rather expensive and, more importantly, the pool was closed (in september, 30 C degrees))
Excellent location for visiting Segovia as well as the local palace and gardens. Easy access from Madrid airport and also easy to visit El Escorial via very beautiful mountain road. Usual excellent Parador buffet breakfast. Unlike other Paradors I have stayed in this has no outside terrace ro grounds.
The rooms are spacious, clean and have lots of light. The small town is charming and the hotel a good mix of comfort and pleasure.
The historic setting and proximity to the palace and gardens, and the beauty of the building and its imaginative restoration. The dinner menu was pricey so we avoided it, but the breakfast was to die for. Every imaginable item was available. Sadly we had overslept so had little time to exploit it to the full. The hotel was also peaceful and the rooms large and well equipped, and the views great. The booking was a bit confused. Our internet booking had come up as for the following month (or so they said) although on returning home and checking emails, booking.com had correctly confirmed it to me.
