Pros: Everything's perfect. A hotel is located about 1 km off the main road, but with very beautiful mountain view, playground, very good food and pleasant staff. Highly recommended.
Pros: The food is phenomenal. Location - it depends where you're coming from. I would say it is best for foreigners. The rooms are very large and staff very friendly. Must try: plant tea with white honey, the dish called "hen in a pan" (gaina la tava), a walk on the neighboring hills to observe the wildlife, to stay late outside and look at the night sky.
Cons: Did not like the beds though, they are hard and my back hurt.
Pros: Great accommodation, rooms are spacious and very clean. The hotel is located in the middle of nature, it's so beautiful, surrounded by pristine nature. They have their own farm, hens, cows...The food they serve is also delicious and we recommend eating there. Ingredients are of high quality and locally grown. The staff is very kind and service was excellent. Many thanks to Nicusor as well...who attended us on every meal. All in all, we highly recommend this place to enjoy Bucovina!
Pros: Very nice place, big apartments, lots of space and nice surroundigs. There is big playground with many sport equipment including billiards table or darts. The meals were also very good. We totally enjoyed our stay here.
Pros: Awesome place in the middle of fantastic Bucovine landscape. Everything was great: family appartment at last floor, mattress, bathroom. heating (-10°outside) . Dinner very tasty, waiter very kindly who speak a good english. Host were unpeccable. Great experience....No credit card, and the nearest bank is ten km far. So bring cash with you
Pros: very friendly staff big & spacious room amazing view
Pros: The location - I can't understand people who choose a hotel situated on the road. And Casa Vero is only 2 km from the main road and the territory of the hotel, the kitchen and the stillness is amazing!

Pros: Very welcoming hosts who are always happy to make you feel at home. Fabulous breakfast containing fresh local and homemade products (it kind of looked like 3 regular breakfasts all in one). Parking can be found either inside the property or right in front of it (public space). The property also has a nice small garden in the back with a patio and grill.
Cons: Just a suggestion - our room didn't have a hairdryer (it didn't affect our stay but it might be a good idea to have one).
Pros: The hospitality at Casa Aurora was excellent. The fact that we don't speak Romanian and they don't speak English didn't stop us communicating in broken French and sign language. A very good location for visiting the painted monasteries.
Cons: We were offered an evening meal, but we didn't check the price and we don't drink so 120 Ron seemed a little expensive for 1 meal for 2 persons with no drink. However it was tasty.
Pros: A modest guest house which exceeds all expectations. Wonderful hosts in a charming, spotless and comfortable house. Excellent breakfasts to set you up for the day and the location could not be better for visiting the highlights of Bukovina, especially the four best known monasteries and the eggcellent museum in Vama itself! And local character aplenty from Aurora and her husband. We stayed 5 nights and had a great holiday!
Cons: We liked everything, except leaving.
Pros: Great location to visit some of the most well-known monasteries, as well as the mountains (Rarau). Very welcoming host, a very good example of the Romanian hospitality:). Excellent fresh food cooked daily by the host (everything home made).
Pros: Very kind and nice owner. She cook best dishes in Romania :-)

The guesthouse is a great starting base to explore the many monasteries, as it is only 20 km from the Holy Monastery of Voroneţ and 25 km from Humor Monastery. Pros: Breakfast was very good, lots of variety. The evening meal was also excellent. There is a speciality in this Pensiunea of romanian liquors. The location is good to visit lots of places in Bucovina. The hosts are very helpful for any requests about touristic informations.
Pros: The staff are so polite and kind, the location is lovely with a nice view and in a quiet place , only 20-30 min drive from various locations and attractions around. I’ll definitely recommend it.
Cons: I am not sure if the bed sheets were very clean.
Pros: Casa Elvira has very good quality services, as always.
Cons: dinner and lunch are a bit expensive should you choose to take it, on the other hand, good services cost
Pros: Excellent location, spacious, very relaxing grounds.Staff was very courteous and always ready to help. They anticipated all of our needs,it was clear that they know what they are doing.Food was great (maybe too much, but who can complain about that).I stayed in similar lodging in Austria and this was superior in many aspects. For a US tourist price is a great value, not sure if the budget of a Romanian family will feel some pressure at $80 per night (but breakfast is included, keep that in mind).Only regret is that we had to leave.I hope we will have a chance to be back. Try the zip line at Palma (30 min from Casa Elvira on the way to the Sucevita monastery),the kids had a blast.
Pros: The room was quite big, with a good view. The staff was very friendly. The position is good, close to the most of the interesting historical locations in Bucovina. Do not forget to try the homemade brandy, made by our hosts. Food was based on local stuff, tasty and very fresh. So, just book a room there and try the experience in Bucovina! You will not regret! :)
Pros: The location is great, near the forest with fresh air. The rooms are big and clean. The hosts are very nice and the food is really good.
Pros: Lovely peaceful setting. The balcony of the room overlooks a lovely woooded hillside. Good dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room and friendly staff.
Pros: Casa Elvira is a wonderful place, great for a base to head out and see the painted churches. Breakfast and dinner were included and both were delicious. We spent 2 nights, so enjoyed 4 meals which were all typical Romanian - home made cabbage rolls, soups, polenta, potatoes, roast pork. It is a family run establishment and everyone is very helpful and lovely. There is play equipment and grass for children, seats on the porch for reading, and wonderful hospitality all around. Our room was spacious and clean with a porch for us to sit out on.
Cons: Wish we could have stayed longer, or for Christmas or Easter - the place must be magical.
Pros: Very good breakfast and they even prepared us delicious dinner on very short notice. Very nice and welcoming people. Great surrounding areas and very nice view from balcony. The room was very clean.
Cons: It was bit cold in the room on arrival, but that was sorted in few minutes by owners.

Pros: The young owner Cesar makes you feel welcome. His English is good, he is serviceminded, the 5 rooms are only three months old and clean, there is a kitchen with free coffee and tea and a large breakfasttable for the guests. At the groundfloor there is little supermarket with fresh bread. A good choice

Cons: Nothing to dislike
Pros: Very friendly host and accomodating, giving excellent service during our stay.

Pros: The decorations of the house, the cleanliness and the staff
Pros: - The garden is very beautiful and relaxing; - The staff is friendly and always there for your needs; - The food is excellent and at decent prices; - Good location (closed to important landmarks); - Suitable for families with children.
Cons: - The rooms however needs a revival. - Very small TV so you can’t watch on the bed and poor signal.
Pros: I recommend everyone „La Bucovineanca“, tradition and hospitality.
Pros: The service was excellence.
Cons: Room no. 3
Pros: Location and the food
Pros: Location, decor and garden
Cons: Food was poor
Pros: Excellent quiet and beautiful place, very spacious and clean. It offers playgrounds for kids and recreational spaces. Also, the food is delicious and the serving very attentive. We enjoyed the large, comfortable room, with high quality furniture.
Pros: The food, the location, the room (simple and traditional), the courtyard, the view, the animals and all in all, the authenticity.
Cons: There are a few minor things, but we have already forgotten them.
Pros: Everything was wonderful: scenery, room, the traditional meals, exceptional amability of the hosts, friendly pets. The forest is very close and with several hiking trails. The nearby sheepfold can be visited.

Pros: Kindness of host. The location in nature. Equipment of the house which was very complet. The very nice traditional breakfast offer for the easter sunday.
Pros: This is really an amazing place. Situated in a beautiful, peaceful village it has all the modern facilities and equipment. Everything was very clean and new. The kitchen is very, very well equipped - we found all the necessary things and more. The hosts were extremely friendly - they really cared about our comfort, we had fresh milk every morning and we could see their farm and animals. We do hope to come back one day :)
Pros: Clean, kitchen well equiped, many games and playstation for the kids
Cons: No aircondition in the rooms, extremely warm at summer time, bad uncomfortable.
Pros: The house was clean.
Cons: The location of the property is awful - main road on one side and train tracks on the other side - we could hear every choo-choo of every train passing by. The owner had a problem with us going in with our shoes on so the rule was that we left our shoes at the entrance af the house and wear one of the pair of their rubber slippers (see picture). i was not thrilled about the danger of foot fungus so i dindn't wear any. The bath had a step in the middle of it with no reason to be there and all of us tripped. Also the smell comming out of the bathroom was not enticing at all and having 4 people take a shour did not help. We had a kitchen at our disposal, wich was nice, but for all the time we prepared and ate our breakfast we felt supervised by the owner.
Cons: We didnt get the room which I booked because when we arrived we were told that it was already occupied. Instead we got a room which had a bathroom in the corridor which was quite uncomfortable.
Pros: Excellent facilities, very clean house and lovely staff! Beautiful surroundings of rolling hills.
Cons: Very noisy room, right next to a heavy trafficked street! Could not sleep because of the noise. However I realize that I had to sleep with the window opened because it was hot. So maybe with it closed, it might have been a different story...
Pros: Room was spacious and good facilities, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and use of living room (which I didn't use). 5 mins walk from train station and simple shops to buy provisions.
Cons: Unfriendly staff (not Elena) - the man was unhelpful and unwelcoming, I had to ask him to show me the kitchen - he didn't know how to use the cooker (fancy induction hob). The venue had a large party the previous night but although the washing up was done, lots of crockery etc wasn't put away so it was cluttering up. He blamed that the cleaner was off. Bulbs had gone in kitchen so it was bit dark. Fancy coffee machines, but no kettle. In my room the toilet didn't flush and the lamp had broken plug - I told him but he just shrugged and said "I didn't check after the boys rented the venue". Really??? No place to eat nearby.
Pros: The place was very clean. The kitchen was well equiped.
Pros: Very clean, excellent bathroom, xbox game
Pros: Very nice people. Adorable dog running around. Very clean. Willing to make breakfast and helpful in morning. Windows had screens, and towels and sheets were great.
Cons: Very noisy train and highway could be heard from the window at night, which we needed to have open due to unexpected heat wave.
Pros: There was small and very funny dog.
Pros: Excellent hospitality. Easy to find. Lots of stuff for children. Big backyard. Enough space in the common areas, even if it would be fully booked. Equipped kitchen. Host speaks several languages including French, Italian (perfectly) and English.
Cons: It is located at a highly trafficked road. That makes it most suitable to include on a road trip but less for a walk in the area around the house.
Offering cosy rooms with wood panelling, cable TV and free Wi-Fi, Pension Lucia Bucovina is located in the peaceful and green surroundings of Vama. The guest house is surrounded by a garden with an outdoor grill. Guests of the Lucia Bucovina can also unwind in the lounge with a fireplace or take a walk in the nearby forest.
Pros: The nice cute old lady, even if speaking only romanian, was extremely kind and warm. Nice rooms and superbe breakfast
Cons: Difficult to find the place since there is no sign outside
Pros: The staff were friendly and tried their best to be helpful in showing us where we could get some food. Breakfast provided was very nice and traditional Romanian style.
Cons: We had quite a terrible stay here, firstly, the google maps takes you to the wrong place but we eventually found the correct place. We arrived after a long day of travelling expecting the facilities advertised on booking.com to actually be available - such as the restaurant/food etc, relaxing by the fireplace? - we were told we couldn't get food and that we should have rung up and booked that ahead (but there was no mention of this either on booking.com or communications prior to staying). The staff were friendly and tried to help by coming in our car to direct us to a small local 'corner style' shop to help us get food but it was not quite what we were looking for as we wanted a proper hot meal. We ended up driving around 40 minutes return to get to a decent restaurant. When we returned back we found that the entrance and hallway leading to our room was very smokey as one staff member had been smoking in a room within the building. As an asthmatic non-smoker this was problematic, as it permeated into our room. Additionally, the woodfire smoke from surrounding properties seemed to be getting in too. It was very smokey and I struggled a lot to breathe properly. When we got back from dinner we were also told that the pipes had frozen and burst and as such we could not shower or even use the toilet at all. By this point it was too late and basically in rural romania to continue driving to locate somewhere else to stay. The heating was okay during the day but seemed very low over night and we had to sleep with thermal tops on. Despite the lack of a toilet or bathroom we were charged the full price of the room and breakfast on top of it. We struggled a bit with communication here as well because the staff did not speak any English (it is Romania so fair enough that they didn't but be mindful if you only speak English). Luckily we spoke enough Romanian to get by but it was tricky and there may have been some communication confusion as a result.

Pros: New decorated with lots of taste rooms, loved that the furniture seemed made local using hardwood. Great food at the restaurant. The Tennis Court!! The bowling aley. The location and scenery. High quality resort and not extremly expensive, we had a great time there.
Pros: Great staff members, specially the guys from the restaurant
Cons: Poor selection of food and not great either :( got a different room than what I've booked, noise during the night from above us even if we were at the last floor, ghost in the mansard?! :) and from the downstairs restaurant and so on...
Pros: The great location. Compared to my previous stay at Lidana Pension, the problems with Internet connection and with the breakfest quality were solved.
Cons: The bedrooms and specially the bathrooms were not clean, we found hair on bed furnitures and in the shower cabins. The rooms were not heated continously during the night even outside the temperature was under -4Celsius degrees. Some heating radiators need repair actions.
Pros: The location was perfect, the hotel was perfect, the services too.
Pros: The location is excellent. The mountains, weather conditions and the wild nature are sources of relaxation.
Cons: The room was not clean. We asked to clean it. Compared to the official offer, there was no continental breakfast, only menu 'a la carte' including eggs, butter and tea ??!!. No minibar in the room and only one bathrobe for two persons.
Pros: A very well situated Pension, with modern and new furniture, installations etc. With base in this Pension, one can visit the famous monastery Voronet, as well as Moldovita.
Cons: The access road of cca. 300-500 m is in a poor condition.

Pros: The host and her daughter were very friendly and helpful. Had a lovely garden to relax in if you wanted to. Had a secure parking and they offered breakfast and dinner which is hand as the local town didn't have much to offer food wise.
Cons: The WIFI was very slow.
Pros: The hosts were so charitable and gracious despite my inability to speak Romanian, we made good use of Google translate and were able to sort everything out. They were also kind enough to share some sour cherry brandy with us that was absolutely delicious. We loved the location and the gated parking. The view across to the cathedral and the easy access to the rest of Bucovina was great.
