Unique experience superior location kind and helpful staff. Asked for a room with great view in quiet location and this was delivered. We arrived early and our bags were cared for and again the next day after checkout. It was an experience to swim and hottub on a roof top and see ducks swimming in a pond with large spruce trees outside while eating great breakfast buffet the next morning again on a roof top. Took someone special to Montreal for her 77th birthday and she was so impressed with our stay, the staff and the facilities that we have decided to make an annual event. That we didn't have more time
Service was not good
Our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. Although we had heard some concerns about night time noise, the hotel was quiet during our stay. The pool was lovely as ever, and a hot tub has been added since our last stay. The water temperature was just right in both pool and hot tub. Lockers for your clothes are free. The exercise room is nice. The duck pond was fun to watch. A hotel the size of the Bonaventure could really use three hot tubs, especially since (unlike many hotels) the pool is so popular. We thought the hotel restaurants were a little expensive, although there are some reasonable dining options in the levels below Place Bonaventure. The carpeting in the hallways looks very worn, but on closer inspection, it's the pattern.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, great maid-service, comfortable bed. Nice, spacious work-out facility, free newspaper. Great location for getting onto the metro. Definitely, it would be a good place, I can imagine, to stay in, during a winter visit. Pricey buffet. Didn't eat there because of cost. 25 dollars per person. Wifi only worked well in the closet or bathroom locations, in our room. The exterior and interior of the hotel are concrete. So, at first I had a feeling of being incarcerated. However, I adjusted and realized many buildings Montreal are similarly constructed.
The pool and convenience to downtown are big pluses at this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Quiet rooms. We hope to come back again.
-Facility was great -Very clean -Felt luxurious -Good service -Hotel employees were on strike and it was uncomfortable to cross picket lines, some amenities unavailable, but overall regular service seemed unaffected.
Walk to All Monreal has to offer, Old City/St. Catherine St./Chinatown take Elevater to the Lobby, Fantastic Rooftop with Heated Pool & Spa complete the experience Beds were very Comfortable Metro next door Parking under hotel Had to walk stairway to get to my room
Rooftop pool, buffet breakfast When I booked with Kayak the price was $195/night but I ended up paying $239/night + taxes.
Incredibly close to the Bell Center. Easy access in and out of the city. Roof top gardens and pool. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Staff was also friendly and helpful. Small bathroom and lack of inexpensive television options.
The location and staff were friendly The restaurant was bad. They put out a breakfast buffet that looks free and if you don't have a coupon they charge you after you get food about twenty bucks for sub par stuff. It is an obvious scam and when I complained they just shrugged their shoulders. Not cool.
carpets smell, rooms are dirty serious updates need to happen
Inexpensive, easy access to everything, parking was very easy, grocery store close dated room, not the best area of town, concierge was almost never there
Nothing A very tired and abused hotel. It needs a major renovation. Doubt that I will ever return.
Its a hotel chain in Quebec and even though in the right area for my stay it hasnt been updated in years. The rooms need a face lift and the bathrooms are small --wall paper peeling off -- electrical plugs hidden by the beds, none on the bedside table, -- no small fridge, i was there for 6nights -- great flatscreen, but all furniture is old -- slept on a bed that i could feel the coils in my back, upgrade the mattress
I loved the location in terms of being right in the middle of all the action. We went for the Jazz Festival and couldn't have been any closer to all of the events. We also loved having the restaurants and stores right next door. The room was a good size and had the regular amenities such as hair dryer, iron, and lots of room to hang up clothing in the closet. I would absolutely stay here again. What I didn't like was that the pool was closed from 12-5 everyday. Why? Bizarre?! Those are the hours we really wanted to swim. We couldn't bring any drinks into the pool area and they wouldn't allow you to leave with the towel! So we dripped all the way back to the room. Were also HATED the bed. Very hard and uncomfortable and only two very tiny flat pillows for a king size bed. Definitely needs updating.
Location provided easy access to subway Coffee machine in room Free wifi in room Cleanliness Cost of breakfast Dated decor
Lots of amenities near by Rooms never cleaned due to strike and the beds were small
Just like in the movie, I end up at the Gouverneur Hotel over and over and over. It's always my hotel of choice when in Montreal! Nothing!
The pool and close to everything we needed Hotel staff was on strike and in very poor shape because of it. Rooms didn't get cleaning service once. Counter staff that checked us in and out had very poor customer service skills. Crossing the picket line resulted in airhorns being blown in our faces and yelling. Having to push through the crowds - and loud music. Lots of homesless people and crackheads in the area.
Staff was very accomadating and the rooms were well kept. The soap and talls were changed daily. The room I stayed in had no microwave, refrigorator, and the continental breakfast was limiting. Not big deals but notable
This was my first time staying at the Gouvernour Hotel. The staff was very friendly throughout our stay and always greeted us with a smile. The breakfast buffet was actually really good. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to the bars if you want to go out at night, and close to multiple restaurants. I was not happy with the air conditioning in the room. The thermostat did not appear to regulate the temperature well enough. It would go from way too hot, to way too cold. I also did not realize that the only rooms that get a safe are the "business" rooms, and not every room. I did not want to leave my passport lying around, along with other valuables, so I ended up carrying them with me wherever I went in my messenger bag. I would have preferred keeping it locked in a safe. I'm used to there being a safe in a hotel room. Other than that, everything else was pretty good at this hotel. I wish the parking fee was not so expensive, too, but at least you can come and go as many times as you want. ($21 a day for parking).
Good location & helpful staff. The room was a bit noisy from both outside the building as well as the hallways.
Convenience to Old Montreal, China Town and Catherine Street & Area. It was fine for me, my wife would have liked to have had a bath tub though to relax. Room was a bit small, but for us it was only a place to lay our head at the end of the day.
I stayed at travel lodge with a couple friends and the location was awesome. Hotel was clean and in good condition. Breakfast was delicious. Had a room with a bunk bed and the top bed was a bit small and quite firm. Otherwise really enjoyed my stay.
The room with a queen and pull-out sofa was not large enough to handle the sofa extension. No room for maneuvering.
The staff were very polite and helpful The wifi connection worked well Continental breakfask was included Very few TV channels
I only like the location. The receptionists were rude and not professional at all.
Location - very close to the conference center, easy access to other amenities Staff - very helpful and friendly Breakfast - delicious with a good selection of healthy choices (Fresh fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, toast etc..). My son loved the bunk bed. The bed wasn't great - it was easy to feel the springs in the mattress and there wasn't a huge amount of support. I switched rooms the last night and the second was a bit of an improvement mostly because it had a thicker mattress pad. The rooms are small so not suitable for lounging in but it met our needs.
The proximiity to the Palais du congress,, the parking, and the economical price with breakfast. It is just what I needed for what I was doing. nothing
it was close to the city sights.
It was way too small, We bearly had room for our bags and ourselves to walk. definitely not going to be going back..
Surprisingly nice quality for the price and brand of hotel Everything was great
Very good value, good location.
Awesome location in the downtown area. We ate at 5 restaurants on our block (or across the street) alone and all were delicious. Very easy access to metro and bus stops and a short walk to the museum and Mont Royal Park. Staff was friendly and even provided us with a late checkout free of charge. 1 broken elevator made getting in and out pretty slow. The pool was under renovation so we didn't get the great rooftop view ... although you can get just about the same view from the 27th floor gym window.
Spacious room, clean, with kitchenette, which was a welcome surprise. We didn't have time to take advantage of the pool, but there next time we stay we will make time for it. Walking distance to everything. A little far to the old port, but we still walked it and it was fine. Staff were wonderful. When we're in Montreal again we will stay here. Parking was a little expensive, and the construction on Sherbrooke made getting in and out difficult, (though obviously not the fault of Cantlie. Other than that I can't think of anything that was a negative.
Well located, modern and clean with great staff
- Close to everything - Cleanliness - Leaking faucet and tiny bathroom. - Could not watch TV in bed. - Ancient kitchen borderline gross. - No snack wth.
The staff were friendly and professional, the room was very spacious and well maintained, and its location was just minutes away from stations! Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and if we have another opportunity, we will stay here again! One of the two TVs in our room didn't work, but it wasn't a big deal.
Great location (Metro Peer Station is right around the corner), great price, great room. Loved the small kitchenette. Friendly staff.
Location Site displays pictures of pool, but its being repaired! The real problem is it looks like its been out all year and it appears they do not plan on repairing it anytime soon, yet the misleading pictures are still on the web site. Hotel is old, which normally could be a plus, but stupid/cheap updates have removed the charm and character without adding anything.
Great location, wonderful beds, useful kitchenette. Wish we'd had time to try the gym and pool. Only thing to improve is putting real cream (e.g Mini Moos) in coffee kit.
Hotel is located conveniently to downtown Montreal including restaurants, shopping and the Metro. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We had an issue in our bathroom that was promptly fixed. Bar and wait-staff very nice. Buffet breakfast was disappointing. Hotel seemed unprepared for the larger crowd trying to have breakfast. Ran out of food and were not ready to replenish for new people coming in. Eggs and bacon put out were considerably under-cooked.
Close to museums, McGill University, the metro and other attractions. Very comfortable hotel, quiet with spacious clean rooms. We particularly liked the restaurant, able to provide a late breakfast to us coming from the West coast and sleeping in. This stay was pleasant and enjoyable, thanks! We came away from this stay with positive feelings, if I have to stretch for what I did not like it would be limited to their replacing our towels after one use despite asking us to hang up our towels so they could cut back on laundry. Wish all my complaints where so small!
Location Big beds Staff That the price not include brekfast that charge parking The elevators !!! some times I wait 15 minutes for one
Very nice beds. Good size rooms. Perfect location. Quiet. Shower was good, not great.
It was a pleasant and comfortable hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful
Excellent service, staff and very nice and quiet rooms Nothing
I always stay there. It is the best around!
the room was very spacious and the bath products were first class - great staff - good food taxes on top of taxes - design was top quality and leading edge when it was new and is showing some wear and tear now
Everything was very nicely decorated and always clean. A swimming pool would be great!
I love their comforter and pillows so much, that I remembered to stay there again, even though the last time I stayed was maybe 12-13 years ago. This despite the fact that I've tried 4 Seasons and other luxury hotels. This is the only one that left an impression. Great restaurant - tried it for dinner and breakfast. The only negative is the (free) WIFI - connection was difficult, convoluted, and unreliable.
Location close to Rue St Catherin's and Crescent where all the bars and clubs are almost found in Montreal. Mont Royal is very close too. You can see what other people are doing in their adjacent buildings, not a big deal to me but to some it might be.
Breakfast is excellent. Location is convient to all. And staff are friendly and helpful. We will stay at this hotel again next time in town. Exercise room s/b more spacious.
We liked everything. Great customer service. Nothung
There was a two hour blackout and the emergency lights never went on. I complained about that. I was told that they were working on it. The next night there was twenty minute blackout and the emergency lights were working. There should be a system to contact everyone to reassure them that everything is alright during a blackout.
Excellent small rooms
The room was very spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bathro was great with a light up mirror and great rain like shower head. They had great l'occitane soaps and shampoos and things in the shower. The restaurant was good too. Get the lobster, it was delicious! The gym was small and we had some problems with the equipment. The room cards kept not working and we would have to get them fixed in the lobby.
its location in down city its service and the message but busy
Comfort and closely located to the business Fair.
Bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. That I couldn't stay longer!
The hotel looked much nicer online . The room was clean and the location is just alright. The noise was awful you can hear everything in the hall. I could even hear my neighbors phone ringing a ton. The AC units were extremely loud and the water pressure in the bathroom would drop making a hissing/squeaking noise after use. Another pet peeve is no fan in the bathroom and the doors have glass on them so when you turn the light on at night you could potentially be waking up your partner or anyone else with you. The parking garage underground is tight and super low, my Jeep Wrangler almost didn't make the height clearance. Wasn't impressed one bit by this hotel very over rated.
We had a great stay. What was particularly appreciated was that we arrived well before check-in time (8 hrs early) and were rewarded with the exact room we booked with no extra charge. Lovely facilities too.
The atmosphere in the reception and foyer area and friendliness of staff in dining room
The staff was very friendly. More so than most other places we have stayed. NA
Located within the heart of Montreal with easy access to metro stations
Affordable choice in downtown, and beds are very comfortable. Hotel staff called around for us on Easter Sunday to see which restaurants would be open before sending us out. Normally I love the hot tub at this Sheraton. Unfortunately during our stay it was out of order, which is a huge bummer. Not that it will make or break a trip, but when you're deciding between a few hotels in the area at the same price point and allowed that to influence your decision a little, it's a letdown. Also, this is 2015 - who charges for WiFi?
This was a great place to stay. In my opinion, the Sheraton has the best beds. The room was very nice, the staff was friendly, and the location was excellent. I will try to book at this hotel the next time that I visit Montreal. no.
Centrally located (for McGill visit and proximity to Old Montreal nightlife). Clean, comfortable. Overall great value. Would DEFINITELY recommend.
The location was perfect for us; mere blocks away from Place De Arts (Jazz Festival) and also only a short walk to Old Montreal. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were wonderful, the room was huge and the beds were extremely comfortable. A Keurig coffeemaker was a welcome touch. We will definitely stay there again! That our stay was so short!

The staff were very helpful and friendly weather recommending a bottle of wine, places to eat, or just general directions. The location is fantastic bordering the Old Port and Downtown sections, and is very easy to find from the highway.
helpful staff at the entryway....friendly and gave suggestions for restaurants, bars, etc. one lady @ check in was quite unfriendly
swimming pool and sauna. bathroom house-keeping was poor. Bed could have been more comfortable for a luxury hotel. Water in the room should have been free.
the bed and the view the room was to small
The breakfast and view
went to a wedding concierge was very helpful
Bathroom View Location Staff Food Pool hard to swim laps in with kids in there
We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. The proximity to the old city attractions allowed us to park the car and walk/cab where we wanted to go. Concierge provided guidance to attractions and set us up for a romantic anniversary dinner at a top nearby restaurant. The service was outstanding and a great value. Merci pour ce merveilleux séjour!
Room was spacious and well appointed, with excellent bathroom. Buffet breakfast was well worth the extra paid on booking (but the on-the-day cost was high). Location was between the old town and the modern business/shopping areas - ideal.
PROs: Great location. Comfortable beds (if you like a firm mattress). Lots of public parking nearby (ie.lot behind hotel) for $10-$17 / day so did not use the valet parking on site. Clean room. Nice, new modern decor. Used the free wi-fi in room without any issues with speed or reliability. Some previous reviews have complained about the paint smell and/or down feather smell. I noticed a slight "new paint smell" in the halls but nothing noticable in room and certainly not offensive. CONs: Digital thermostat on wall by bed... so brightly lit it's impossible to sleep! Had to cover it up with layers of sticky-notes which I (fortunatley) happened to have. Poor bathroom lighting... good luck ladies, trying to apply your make-up! I had to attempt to use my compact mirror at the window. Pool and Fitness Room... both tiny. New machines in gym, though not many nor much selection.
Nice room, great bed and convenient downtown location.
It's close to everything, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A few buildings near the hotel are currently under construction and make some some noise.
Awesome place. Nice outdoor pool (like a hot tub in winter). Very clean and modern setup. Close to shopping.
The hotel is quite small and has limited rooms making it feel a little more exclusive for some reason.Rooms are completely new and spacious. The bathrooms are clean and the hotel provides enough towels for 4 people in a room for 2!The hotel also seems to provide towels for the pool (I am not sure of that, however, I saw some guests bring back yellow towels to the reception). Also, their restaurant L'Aromate was a beautiful and delicious place to enjoy a meal or two :) The only thing is that I found the pool a little small, but a beautiful outdoor area for resting and reading.
Nothing specific stands out, hotel is well appointed and rooms were lovely, TV connection could be faster; nothing stands out about the hotel - I think for a hotel that aspires to the luxury class - I think more could be done to stand out. Food in the restaurant was decent and the staff amicable, but slow
Loved the location! Super clean and comfortable. Friendly staff Walls aren't as sound proof as I would have liked.
Small and quiet. Boutique feel. Very good service. Hotel restaurant was better than I expected, given the yelp reviews. The room was very clean, had classical music playing. Wifi was fast and responsive. Exchange rates made this place very affordable. Construction on the building next door - more of a pain to walk around did not cause extra noise. Service may have been *too* over the top. They'd call every day to make sure I didn't want housekeeping, even though the tag was on the door. Had to redo wifi every 24 hours.
Clean comfortable and quiet rooms. Friendly staff.
They don't have wireless internet in the rooms
The location was perfect, we were literally steps away from the Bell Center, and all of the malls/stores and clubs.
location wrong application of the room rate vs the one booked on-line! Not acceptable!
Location is excellent! 2 min walk from Bell Center and 2 min walk from St-Catherine st for great shopping! Def. worth the money! No parking available, cost us an extra 50$ for 2 days and parking is impossible to find if there's a hockey game that night. Also bed was very hard.
The location was excellent. The room was very small and dated. Not what I would have expected from a Novotel Hotel. The hide a bed was very uncomfortable - again not what we expected from Novotel or the price of the room.
Not many amenities, no access to fridge/microwave/ice, rooms are basic but clean, well updated. No comfort bags/toiletry provided. No toothbrush, toothpaste and other small things guests should have in room.
clean, comfortable, quiet, and in a great location. very helpful staff. would stay there again! that we couldn't stay longer!
That it was downtown montreal, walking distance from shopping and restaurants. The fact that the gym was not in use. I understand that it was closed for renovations however i wished that when looking up the hotel, the gym would not have been listed as a feature.
The room was comfortable and clean and the wifi was included. Nice walkable location for shopping and sightseeing. The staff was friendly and helpful when asked for assistance. The staff could have been more attentive to details. We never seemed to have an adequate number of towels, the coffee making supplies were not properly stocked, the mini bar was locked, and we were not provided with room service menus.
The staff were welcoming and helpful. Furnishings were all grey so the room lacked warmth. The room wasn't well cleaned. There were some scraps of paper on the floor and a dry wash cloth in the corner of the shower.
Only a block and a half from the Bell Centre, the Novotel is the place for Habs fans to stay. Bilingual staff is very friendly and helpful, refurbished rooms are well done -- very comfy beds including the sofa-bed if you need it, lots of electrical outlets to charge your toys, good lighting, free wifi throughout that works well. The on-site restaurant offers a good variety at very fair prices -- including a great breakfast buffet. Not connected to the underground city
the rooftop jaccuzzi is cool
the place was very nice, clean,fresh.......
The place smelled good, as soon as we graced the doors. There were complimentary apples and the decor and design was new and fresh. The spa and pool were very nice and the room was spacious and very comfortable beds.
The ammenitites and location were impossible to beat.
The hotel and our room was spotless. Great facilities and location. Loved it!
The staff were professional and pleasant. The details were attended to. I loved that I got in my room and didn't have to call down for a corkscrew. The location is convenient. It is expensive, but not ridiculous.
Starbucks and restaurant downstairs are excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are extremely attentive. Everything was perfect.
5 star hotel and a great value 5 star hotel and a great value. Only complaint was the resturant, that however was not an issue as there are many outstanding resturants within walking distance
friendly staff ,personal service, trying to fullfill your requirement to make your stay pleasant, and very positive attitude toward guests nothing to complain
Service, location, comfort, bed, quiet, staff Hot water pressure was almost non existent-- in shower, bath, and sink. Staff was ready to help; however, I didn't notice this until late at night on my one night stay. Wouldn't normally be a huge deal but the luxurious bathroom is what made me choose this hotel over two other similar contenders. Additionally, HBO was the only channel that didn't work. Not sure if they advertise having HBO on the website, but it was on the channel guide and didn't have any service.
great location...good staff... very contemporary style
This hotel is right in downtown with most of the attractions at walking distance. The buildinfg us old and the rooms are big with high ceiling. Quite impressive.loved iur time here Would have been nice ti aerve hot breakfast and have more vegan options
Good location. Easy walk to both old town and Mont Royal Park. Room was very big and comfortable. TV reception was grainy at times.
I like the huge suites, and friendly staff. Close to all attractions and metro.
Nice hotel at central location, nice gym, comfy bed and room. Noisy A/C - asked to fix, but guy claimed that's the normal noise level for their equipment, weird. And in one day, there were no hot water in shower for long time, had to take an almost cold one - water did come in about hour later.
The location and room was absolutely wonderful. Loved everything about my stay
Housekeeping staff and concierge were nice and helpful. Food was blah and exorbitantly priced. Salads for two: over $50; breakfast buffet for two: over $50. What a complete waste of money! Save yourself time and money and grab a quick bite in the cafe a few shops down the hall or better yet at an outdoor cafe. The front desk staff were rude. when I checked in, I was told I had booked a king (needed a double), and that I was lucky they weren't sold out, so he was able to give me a room with a double (after sufficient attitude was delivered my way). I later found my confirmation email that clearly stated "deluxe double room". If I can find an alternate, clean hotel, I won't stay here again.
The view from the 21st floor The wifi wasn't working and no obe would help
Staff was friendly and helpful. Free WiFi and Hotel was underneath the metro which made things easy if you know where your going. Bathroom was small and the main restaurant in the lobby was a bit pricey.
Great support staff, everyone was courteous, friendly, and helpful. and I do mean everyone at the hotel. Being located over the metro was big convenience to access subway system, Why is breakfast always so pricey? It's too easy to spend $75-$100 for a family of four...
Burger sliders at the bar was dry and rancid
Clean rooms and great location for Montréal. No hottub, also the staff didn't serve our request for double beds even though we booked two double beds. They came up with a story how they are sorry and that it's not available even though we booked it. No refund or anything was given either. Be careful what you pay - we paid extra for double beds and didn't get them.
Maybe its good for extended stay or business travler no concierge service we had to wait just about 45 minutes for service
Dirty bed linens
Metro is right under the hotel. Walking distance to almost all attractions, if you're used to walking (Old Montreal, the Cathedral, Chinatown) Older hotel. Old elevator. Mall in the hotel is not very lively at all. Garaged parking is quite expensive CAN$25-34. You can park on the street for free after certain hours.
i reserved a room wih two beds. I wss given a room with a king. I requested extra bedding so that my friend and I could separate in the bed somewhat. The concierge promised to provide this. She never sent any extra bedding. The sheets that were in my room had a hole in them and there was hair in my shower.
room need update and parking problem.
We like the location, and amenities. Everything was great. Staff was wonderful Coffe at the restraunt was over priced and burnt. Not good....
The location was absolutely amazing. The staff was great and the rooms were nice and at a decent price. Great bang for your buck Nothing
montreal @ table restaurant promotions in city for week, Delta menu special was very very good and excellent value hotel taught me how important it is to pack and wear 5 layers of clothing to try to keep warm i n room. hotel reinforced how useless it is to try to communicate with staff member who does not listen to nor process info Taught me again , price may seem good, the devil is in the details. room was cold cold cold even after maintenance came to room twice and said it was remedied. Their green policy switches to AC [in November] and takes room to 64 on thermostat and I suspect it is really less than 64 [18c].they offered to change the room but I had papers all sorted & spread out in work mode and people who were to phone me had room # also, message light flashed continuously front desk alerted in aft, and at nite the young woman just did not would not [could not?] listen or do anything positive.
The location is right downtown. It was easy to walk to meals and attractions. There is also a hotel bar and restaurant that looked nice but we wanted to see Montreal :) The staff were all very friendly and the room was modern and clean. The pictures of the hotel are very accurate. It was nice and very reasonable to stay there!
The location is excellent, close to main amenities in downtown Montreal. The room was very clean and the bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated. I would definitely return to Delta Montreal. This a short term stay hotel, the room was not equipped with a mini-fridge (although it offers complementary water bottles every morning).
Clean happy staff and affordable
We enjoyed facials and massages at the spa. The food in the restaurant was good and breakfast buffet was plentiful. Nothing
The concierge was amazing. He gave great advice and made our restaurant reservations. Definitely will use the service of a concierge in my future travels. Loved the room style and décor, very modern. The room we had was pretty big and had a cute balcony, though I wish there were a couple of chairs out there to be able sit. The breakfast is not worth it for the price they charge. Go outside the hotel to St. Catherine's. We found a great place where we got to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere of the city. Also getting a drink at the bar is way too costly for the amount of liquor you receive. The housekeeping staff I would say is kind of slow at cleaning. We left the hotel room at 9am and returned at 4:30pm. Our room was still not cleaned. I ended up just asking for fresh towels. We were relaxing and getting ready for the evening when we received a note underneath our door saying that if we were leaving by 6pm they would still clean our room. At least they did leave a note.
Clean with decent amenities in a good location near the metro. Carpet was worn, balcony doors didn't open.
Rooms are efficient and well appointed. Beds are very comfortable. Food is mediocre but the staff is lovely.
Large rooms for a city hotel. Clean, updated rooms.
I feel that for the price that I paid the rooms need to be renovated I've stayed in Montreal at other hotels much much better for less money I feel that for the price that I paid the rooms need to be renovated I've stayed in Montreal at other hotels much much better for less money carpet in the room was old Uchitel the shower was very bad need some improvement
Beautiful fireplaces, as well as the best Amaretto Sour I've ever had in my LIFE. The hotel itself is very, very beautiful, and the staff are really great, especially Maria at the front desk! Room was not as pretty as expected. Bathtub was meh.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Shops and restaurants are very close by. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The rooms were not as modern as the lobby, but it wasn't a big deal for me.
The bed was comfortable and we had what we needed except a table to sit at would have made the experience better. VerygkAd to have had a refrigerator. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the very close proximity of Eggspectation restaurant where they have an outstanding breakfast menu. We had trouble getting the room to warm up in the morning. I thought the listing said their pool was not open yet and so I didn't bring a swimsuit and missed the chance to use the pool. Also, Kayak, you confirmed my reservation but I never saw anything about printing a voucher so the front desk needed me to present my confirming email.
(1) Location was excellent (2) Parking rates were reasonable (3) Breakfast Buffet Good (4) Female staff at front desk very friendly and helpful, more than males (5) I'm vegetarian, the cook prepared nice surprised meal for my milestone birthday dinner. (6) After 4 days I finally got to eat Waffle, only after I inquire/requested, one the male waitress really went out of the way to make sure I get to eat it. (1) Cheap Mattress (2) Room Decor & Furniture ok for the brand & money (3) Curtains had tiny holes in them (4) Bathroom Wall was not painted after some repair...rusty look left visible (5) Cammode shaky when you sit on it (6) Rooms not as bright, suggest putting LED WHITE lights instead
I liked that the Hyatt was centralized to all locations in Montreal. It was walking distance to Downtown Montreal and walking distance to old Montreal. The Hyatt was a close walking distance to the metro as well. There was nothing I did not like.
The location is great, museums, old montreal, notre damme, mcgill, train station, restaurants, everything at a reasonable walking distance, breakfast is a very good buffet. The breakfast is a little expensive, there is poor signaling for the lobby, and since it is in the 6th floor it is a little tricky to find it
I was traveling through Montreal, stopped downtown and decided to stay, this was the best value hotel downtown, excellent staff, great location. I'm staying here the next time I visit.
I love the location , the comfort the staff everything is good I would highly recommend this hotel
Great location near art museums and 3 blocks from convention center. Outdated rooms although the lobby has gotten a makeover.
The cleanliness right down to the carpet was apparent. Many hotels use carpet past its prime...not this hotel. The series of elevators from parking to reception could be better identified. The pathway wasn't as intuitive as I am ussd to.
I loved the ultra modern style and comfort of the Hyatt Regency at the Complexe Des Jardins in Montreal. The shops and central location were magnificent! The only minor hassle was in trnsferring from elevators... but again... very minor.
location was excellent. comp. breakfast and managers "happy hour" was awesome.the staff was wonderful and extremely helpful.
I was upgraded to a suite and was happy to see how nice it was. Great kitchen layout and living space. Restaurant was way too busy to try. Nicely quiet at night.
So convenient to metro and walking for sightseeing. Great breakfast! Staff was amazing- concierge was extremely helpful with directions! Highly recommend this hotel to others. Bathroom shower head could not be secured in holder.
Great room with all amenities we could have wished for. Very comfortable and good value considering location, and that breakfast and 'happy hour' drinks were included.
The overall quality from Hotel, it was fantastic. Thanks, we really enjoyed our stay, even it was business. Just would like to see breakfast start a little earlier, there were several people waiting.
Large suite was almost as big as an apartment. Great breakfast Small shower may be a problem for larger people.
Great staff Third world quality Wi-Fi in the bedroom
Size of the rooms and hot breakfest
Very close proximity to attractions such as Notre Dame Basilica and Habitat 67.
Thank you Kayak for making a stay here affordable! We loved the location and the room (though a little dated) was huge, comfortable and very clean! They gave us 2 complimentary drinks and breakfast was included. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Joey at check in, never would have guessed he was new. Bernard our wait staff at supper-never would have guessed he was called in and was swamped because he took great care of us. And our omelette creator was amazing. Hilton all of your hotels can use Montréal Embassy Suites as their example.
Excellent customer service
service, room, breakfast, ambience, history gym is too small
I liked The most the toilet and bathroom And the comfort of beding The Value was over priced
Amazing experience. Facilities were first class, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Only wish there was an on site spa. However the concierge arranged am appointment for me at a nearby spa.
The hotel was in a great location, we didn't have to drive anywhere, a tip- valet parking is $26 or one street over it was $9 all day/night underground.. staff was very friendly and rooms where pretty clean (just don't use the dishes provided, I used a glass and left it in the sink and after the cleaner left in the morning the dirty cup was put back on the shelf with the clean ones with coffee still in the bottom and there was no soap to wash it myself) Only complaints, we stayed for 4 days and for the first 2 we didn't have a key to our room because the door wasn't working, so we had to have staff take us upstairs every time we came in. The breakfast was terrible, don't waste $10 on hard muffins, apples and begals. And the walls were a little thin, we could hear the room beside us talking and coughing. All in all we have stayed in pretty bad hotels but this doesnt make the list and we wouldn't not recommend it.
Valet parking. You can request your vehicle for a certain time or wait 1/2 hr to 40 min.
Good location, excellent helpful staff and reasonable rates. The room on the 12th floor had a fabulous view of Montreal There was no chair in the room nor was there a bed light to read.
• Hotel was in walking distance of most attractions (Chinatown, Old Montreal, Complexe Desjardins, metro) but not in the center of the hustle and bustle of downtown • Decor was modern and visually interesting • Was comfortable to stay in for multiple nights • Beautiful terrace to enjoy • When our shower wasn't working properly, it took a little convincing before the receptionist agreed to send up a maintenance person • Dusty (bad for allergies) • Gym is very small (only a couple machines)
All was perfect!
Great location. I attended a conference at the Palais des Congres, which is only 6 minutes away. Nearby is the Chinatown, where I could find inexpensive dining.
Location It only has 1 elevator and we were put on the 12th floor, the first morning we stayed there we woke up with the elevator broken. We shopped for 6.5 hours, came back and it was still not fixed. We stayed 2 nights, and it was broken for the majority of the time and was still broken when we left. This served as an extreme inconvenience considering the floor we were on, and because of this reason I would not stay here again. Having to carry our luggage down 12 flights of stairs as we were checking out was a major annoyance!
location and the creatively designed bathroom. Room darkening blinds hard bed, tilty bathroom shelf
The location was good, and the kitchenette with microwave, crockery, sink etc was well set up. Breakfast was basic, but good quality: sufficient to start you off for the day. Close to the airport bus stop, but be warned: the cost is $8 and the bus only takes coins/ correct change. Also, the bus is not every 15 minutes as advised by staff... In latter parts of the night/ early morning, it is 1 per hour: Check the timetable at the bus stop. The rooms are not at all sound proofed: the lifts were clearly audible (I was situated mid-way between the two), as were women laughing and joking in the room upstairs and doors slamming in the hallway. The decor is cheaply done: charcoal paint over bare concrete. While it is new now, in a year or two it will be showing marked wear and tear. It appears very dingy and dark. Shower cubicle was very narrow.
Tradeoff between cost and quality It would be better that in every room there were rules of hotel. The thing is that is not clear what is included in service?
I liked the locationa and the modern design of the hotel. The hotel restaurant wasn't ready (it is still being built). Breakfast was basic. Then again, when the restaurant is up and running it should improve I imagine.
The room was nice, clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Downtown location at an affordable price. The building looks very new; recently built. Staff were a bit rude about checkout time, and seemed a bit unorganized. While it's a central location downtown, it's not the nicest area.
- the front desk was very helpful - excellent location - computer & printer available - shuttle bus to airport was on time - leave your car at the hotel while travel - no valet parking - tiny small room - no proper door for the washroom with a broken lock - understaffed in the dining room only 2 servers and one pretty boy supervisor not much of a helper - over priced - the rooms are not sound proofed at all - needs renovation asap!
My receipt was not available when I left the airport. It will have to be mailed to me and this is not acceptable since I have to have the receipt to file my expense invoice.
I've stayed at many Sheraton hotels in the past, and have always left completely satisfied with what I expected from the hotel chain; top notch service. During this stay, sadly I did not receive that same service. I originally booked a room with 2 Queen size beds for 2 nights as advertised on Kayak and reconfirmed with hotel staff when I called in to update my credit information. Upon arrival, I was told that my room was not what was guaranteed and that according to their computers I booked a room with 1 King size bed. My friend and I again mentioned that it was confirmed over the phone by one of their front desk reps, no extra steps to try and find accommodations other then to take a room with one bed and a pullout couch. The manager on duty made no attempts to even check sister locations for an available room with 2 beds. She even went as far as to imply that i blame myself for not booking earlier as that weekend was Osheaga weekend in Montreal. I BOOKED A MONTH IN ADVANCE!!! We ended up having to take the room with the pull out couch and were given free parking passes for our troubles. We asked for extra pillows and blankets to be sent to the room as well. Instead we were told that there were no more extra pillows and blankets available as they were at full capacity but they would see what they could do... We were brought a measly throw to use. The next morning with people checking out, we approached the front desk and asked if it was possible to have our original booking. The front desk rep told us that they were able to accommodate us after all, all we had to do was make sure all of our belongings were packed and ready to be moved to the new room and when we get back we just had to pick up our new key card at front reception. After repacking, and heading out for the day; we came back to NO SUCH CHANGES. No we could not move, no other accommodations blah blah blah. Went back to our room expecting it to be at least cleaned... THEY HADN'T EVEN BOTHERED TO CLEAN OUR ROOM. I am never staying at this particular location again.
Loved the comfortable bed. While the food at the restaurant was excellent, there wasn't an option of a Café for quick lunch and breakfast. The cost for meals was therefore very steep.
The room was so hot we checked out early and went somewhere else. We asked to be moved but they said no they would fix the air. Never fixed it. Spent all night sweating. Never going back ever!!! The staff was over worked and seemed t not want to be bothered with guest comaints .
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Conveniently located and easy to get to the airport and downtown Montreal via the shuttle and 747 bus. The staff was great and very helpful too. The restaurant had a great staff and atmosphere; however, the food left for something to be desired.
The access in and out of the hotel was difficult.
The rooms were mediocre in terms of clean and space. Needed refurbishing - carpet looked shabby. You need to link the little store to the hotel - it was inconvenient to not be able to charge items to the room
The washroom needs maintenance. The shower drainage need to open. The water comes to my feet when I took a shower. Also the chair doesn't flush I had to open the cover to flush it. You can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for any more questions. Truly Yousuf
My reservation from booking.com was not at in the airport system and I had to wait 45 minutes for the hotel to contact you and get the situation resolved. I have taken notice of this. Parking is completely work in progress. Bags have to be dragged over 50 meters of completely unpaved ground to make it to the hotel.
after walking all day at the Jazz Festival it was good to come to the Sheraton and relax in the beautiful soft bed.
Beautiful hotel, attentive and pleasant staff, large rooms (mostly nice views), nice heated outdoor pool and fitness room. Centrally located - Peel Metro Station is only one block away. Lovely lounge. Reasonable valet parking rate. Excellent breakfast offering in hotel cafe. Our first choice for accommodations when visiting Montreal. Great for business trips, but also family-friendly! Nothing comes to mind.
Everything including location, parking, fitness center, staff Nothing, this hotel went above and beyond expectations, great place to stay in Montreal!!
Loved our king room! Nice views of the area and very comfortable and luxurious-feeling room! This hotel is quite a walk from old montreal, but it was very close to lots of good bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Hotel was very clean and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Was also in a great location. Walking distance to lots of restaurants, old Montreal and other landmarks.
Spacious rooms, cheap price water in hot tub was brown. Pool closed for the winter. Single ply!!! Everything is from 1991
The staff was friendly and helpful; the breakfast buffet delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
Nicely decored, generally friendly and helpful staff. Located near McGill. Safe in room was useful. Great room service. Expensive parking. Hallways and room could have been a little cleaner. Loud hallways sometimes.
Bedding, view, tranquility and large bathroom. The staff was supper friendly, knew our names and we we were thrilled! In-out parking that was prompt. A perfect stay! No bad words a perfect stay!
The hotel is in central Montreal and very close to McGill University. It manages to feel warm and welcoming while at the same time hitting a high standard for service and amenities. We have stayed at 5-6 hotels in the area and this has become our hotel of choice. Be sure to join the preferred customer club - it is free and gives you free wifi and free coffee delivered to your room every morning.
We only stayed one night, but I was happy with our choice. The hotel is clean, rooms are spacious and have plenty of natural light, the staff is friendly and welcoming, the pool is shallow but big enough to do laps. It's across from McGill University, and a good 30-45mins walking distance to the Notre-Dame Basilica. Parking was $35/night.
Big room and bathroom, the pool, the location, friendly staff. Can hear noise from adjacent room and from street (were on 11th floor).
Discrepancy in room sizes when two parties made identical reservations in same class at same price at same time.
