Heraion hotel is new and very beautiful with few rooms. The room was big, very clean and confortable. The owners of the hotel was very friendly and warm, they have also an excerllent restaurant near the sea where you can find fresh fish.Ideal place for relax, you feel like home. Finally, the price was very good if you think the service of this stuff.I will surely come back here.
Owners are the best. Very quiet place, perfect for the vacation.Rooms are very clean.Excellent place for any kind of visit.
Heraion is one of the best value for money hotels in Greece. It has excelent staff - family members that run the hotel and are very pleasant, warm and always ready to assist you in any possible way. The hotel is very clean, very quiet, so you can realy rest at night. It is very near to Thesaloniki (app. 40 km), very near to the biggest shopping centre Kosmos (app 20 km). The rooms are cleaned every day, the breakfast is excelent and everything is ok. The owner of the hotel, Thomas, is also an owner of a beutiful traditional restaurant on the beach so i would realy reccomend a dinner on a beach side in this wonderful fish restaurant. You will surely get a special treatman and extra discount on prices :) I will surely come back here Note that the hotel is not on the sea side. If you are traveling by car this is not a problem at all, because the beach is 2 minutes away, and 10 minutes by walking. Once you enter the city you follow the sign Heraion to the left and go up the hill for app. 300 meters.
It's a great hotel, you feel home as you step in. The whole family is very kind and always hellpful. The rooms are very big and comfortable, almost as you stay in a 4* hotel. You have anything you might need, including small things like hair dryer, Palmilove shower gels, candles...all small details that make you feel special. The hotel is a bit far from the center, you need a car to get there.
It is a nice hotel with very good price. The building is totally new and the service is excellent. The stuff is pleasant also..I had a nice time there and i totally recomend the hotel!
The view to the sea, good room service, friendly people
Nothing particular. Poor Air-conditioning.
swiming pool, but beach is too far and not comfotable for long stay
it is not on the beach
Location good, rooms, bright, airy. Friendly effcient staff, breakfast very reasonable variety and good quality.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, nice swimming pool and the lounge area. Very poor location,is close to beach which is really dirty and uncomfortable,no any trips organized or water games, food is so bad, very boring, apart of staying in your room were nothing to do at all, everything unreasonable expensive, was really disappointing to waist this all money what is not worth it all plus we booked online were saying clearly that we paid for our reservation and on our check out we need to pay because the lady in the reception said they never taking money only booking the room till your arrival and taking payment on the departure that was really uncomfortable because we haven't got any cash because we was not informed and were no any information on the website so we needed to use our credit card what cause us stress!!
The location is good -close to the city but actually on the beach and easy to find.Old facility that management successfully have redone and keeps a good eye on it.The pool is a good decision and the service is very good. They are struggling now to survive there and I hope they will make it.General manager very helpful as all reception stuff. One thing though -beds are really bad, need to change them!!!Good product for the money paid-do not expect posh but 3 star regular hotel We had a nice stay there. Beds really need to be changed-springs into your back!!!
The service was good at the bar, very friendly. Good breakfast. No noise at night. On our first night, we had ordered a triple room, but were given a double room instead, although they gave us an extra bed for our second child. So we were a bit squashed - so we should have paid for a double room with a extra bed, but still had to pay for a triple room. The man serving us was not very helpful and it left a bad taste in our mouth, so to speak.
Great staff and excellent location
Very polite hotel staff, good location of a hotel, cleanliness of a room... Breakfast was the same every day.
excellent English from Katherina, good suvlaki in taverna expensive an d bad coffee in beach bar
The hotel is very close to the beach, so the sea view is fine. The people are very kind. We arrived late in the night, as the location is quite difficult to be found, but the owner was available.
Location and facilities. None
quite confortable, new small hotel ,clean very difficult to find the location, esspecially during the night because the GPS doesnt work in that area, and it seams located in the middle of nowhere. It wold be usefull to have more indications on the small roads in the hotel direction
Our stay at Akti Retzika was superb! Katerina and her wonderful family were so lovely and helped us out whenever we needed. It was amazing to walk out from your door and onto the beach. The water was beautiful, warm and clean. A very safe place to take the family and relax. The restaurant made delicious food (especially the fried courgette) and the staff were so friendly. I would recommend this place to everyone. Such a beautiful and relaxing vacation spot. It will be a regular holiday spot for us now!
There was a great view from the balcony. The family that owns the hotel and the camping is very nice. The rooms are big and the appartament was more that I expected. It is almost on the beach and there are no other resorts in the area. The food in the restaurant was excelent. The restaurant's position was with sea view. During 2 nights out of 6 it was a live band that sang and it was difficult for us to rest until they finished. The prices in the restaurant are a too high.
The facility is not a hotel, but some bungalows in the middle of a camping ground. There was a dreadful smell in our room so we asked ourselves lots of questions about the hygiene. The absence of tv and air conditionning are secondary...
placed in a quite environment close to the beach, if you need some rest for a couple of days, or a completely passive hollidays, then this is the perfect place. but for a one night stop (like we did) I would recommend a less remote location... way to hotel was horrible, after village Epanomi, GPS (2008 maps) wasn't showing any road at all to reach the location, we just drived in blind at 11 PM (!) after leaving Thessaloniki airport. I recommended to hotel's management to ask you at Booking.com to place the GPS coordinates along to their address. It could be usefull and ease reaching them.
The hotel was very quiet, in a beautiful location and had a very relaxing atmosphere.
We went off-season, deliberately,so there were no crowds, no beach bar, no noise and staff was readily available to help without any waiting time. Even without a great number of guests the restaurant seafood was excellent and fresh, expertly prepared by Adonis, the apparent fac-totum at the hotel. As everywhere else in Europe, it seems, it was difficult to get a cup of what Americans call "coffee" or "Cafe Americano", a large (1/2 litre) brew of ground coffee beans. Also it remained unclear whether tips/gratuities were included in the prices; we understood they were, but the English menu was not clear on that. This is not a criticism, we just like to be fair to the staff and are more comofrtable knowing what the custom is.
location is great, nice beach and restaurants nearby. hotel looks good on arrival but the rooms did not match this standard at all. no mirror in room and took them 24 hours to provide us with one.the kitchenette was dirty and did not have basic utensils to cook with even if we had wanted to. the receptionist advised us just before we were leaving that the rooms are being refurbished and that is why all pictures and mirrors have been removed. if that's the case, they should have notified guests beforehand and offered a discount on their expensive prices.
The sea view and the beach who was very close to the hotel
Very close to the beach and the promenade. The breakfast costs 7 euro and is only bread and marmelade, also I expected the money to be transfered from my accout electronically when I booked, but turned out I had to pay cash on check-out, and if I didn't have cash on me that might have been a problem.
For me it's convenient close to airport of Thessaloniki and nice for walking on the beach promenade
Great customer service.
TV in English.Shampoo in the room.
a very helpfull reception we had a family room and the two person bed was too small for two persons. The second time we had one better room and one old room with an old toiletroom
Staff particularly helpful and hotel well run. Otherwise, nothing special but quite satisfactory. I would return to the Avra rather than stay in other hotels in the area. It takes about three-quarters to one hour to take bus into town, but a good bet if you prefer to be located outside city centre.
It is really a suitable hotel for a short staying or a business trip. Location is close to a walking boulevard but is 50 m away that helps to avoid noise. Good quality/price ration.
Easy Parking, comfortable bed. Good location. Not very much hot water. Staff was not always easy to find.
Liked the proximity to the beach. Nice resort area Room and bathroom was too small. It was there that I discovered my wallet was missing. I cannot prove it but it seems that it might have been taken at night while I was asleep. Again, I cannot prove this.
Diner meal was quality and delicious. Breakfast above average. Proximity to a beach. For a 4-start hotel, I have seen much better in Europe and Greece. Small rooms with tiny bathroom. Balcony's in nead of repair. renovation desperately needed. In a bad, run-down area, would not be comfortable exploring. Wait staff rude, including desk staff. Parking minimal. 30 minute drive just 7km from the airport. Stay on one of many resorts just 30 minutes south instead.
Layout of the hotel, receptionist´s kindness and assistance Breakfast (especially quality of juice and coffee - just poor)
The beach in front of the hotel, which has the blue flag for the season 2008. The music at the pool was to loud for my taste .
Excellent location for a weekend break, lovely view of Thessaloniki and the sea, quiet at night, clean private beach, nice pool area. Rooms are very small, difficult to move around for 2 people at the same time. Breakfast quite poor, always something missing, no fresh vegetables!
the sea view the price of the suite, because it was too expensive.
location,it was realy close to the sea. the pool was very small.
1St class hotel & service
The View to the beach and to the gulf and town Very small and not clean enough bathrooms, poor breakfast.
Nice location, quiet area We stayed in Club roooms, while we were charged for Premium rooms, breakfast poor, service in restaurant - poor
Very good and friendly service. Good value for money. Nice view.
Nothing in special. NO
Perfect Food is very expensive
View , Location easy access to the surrounding areas, need a vehicle
Located in the quiet hills of Thessaloniki. Plenty of restaurants and bars at walking distance, avoiding the need to go down to the busy and loud Thessaloniki. It is not a four star hotel. Three at most. Rooms are nice but very small. Staff is not very forthcoming. Complete lack of atmosphere in the restaurant, and attention of the staff. Nice terrace with beautiful view over Thesaloniki. However, they are now constructing new buildings in fron of that same terrace, so in a couple of months there will be no more view.
the view is great no
good location, good transport to and back
Great views, nice area Needs renovation
excellent breakfast, good location from shopping mall, easy route from highway, perfect view from room(№ 410)
Excellent staff, very comfortable room and really clean too! Would definitely go back!
We like the Spa, however, we are little bit surprised with the fact that we should pay for using the indoor pool, nonetheless that we are the guest of the hotel. This was not mentioned in the information that booking.com give us. We did not have that experience with other hotels to pay for using the swimming indoor pool???? Too small room, not comfort and not so clean, on the road. The lock of the doors not works correctly. You should pay to use the indoor pool, so too expensive for the service that they offer.
The vicinity with the beach, the bar on the roof, the parck in front of the hotel, the lobby area, the bar at the swimming pool.
The peacefulness of the entire athmosphere and the kindness of the staff The hot water was not running well. The water preasure was poor most of the time. Appart from that everything else was perfect
Spa center and some of staff(not greek) Greek part of staff is very unkind.WC smell not so good.
The hotel is 30 km away from Thessaloniki and also around 30 km from the beginning of Kassandra. The village of Nea Kallikratia is boring and there is not much to do. If you plan to visit Thessaloniki and you have a lower budget it is ok. The hotel rooms need renovation. The bathroom was poor. The breakfast was ok. There is a very good taverna nearby.
Spa facilities on disposal Bad maintenance of the equipment (broken chairs at the balcony). No place for parking.
Breakfast was good . only jakuzi has the quality in spa facilities. Room was dirty and noisy. Ac was not working properly. Bathroom was smelling and rezervoir was not working. Hotel should have been renovated years ago
the pools, the spa and the friendly staff no,everything was allright.
Bathroom, weak water pressure not enough for a shower, noise (furniture moving?) at 8 am
roof garden, perfect place
friendly staff, clean hotel The swimming pool was too small and not so clean. The bed was not comfortable. No free internet or wireless - it's basic nowadays. We missed a shower or a tap on the beach or at the hotel to wash our legs form the sand.
the first thing that I met in the hotel they was the friendly service personal and the atmosphere of hotel with the first glance they was friendly and serene that you they make to feel as your house....
Really close to the beach, great view from the balcony(big one),good service, the breakfast was ok,friendly&special atmosfere. It could be cleaner(OK generally), many loud young children woke us up early.
location near the airport, nice city center but not the beach, clean hotel. the swimming pool was not so clean.
Alkyonis is a unbelievable good hotel at low cost, with good service. Room was cleaned every day, the bed linen changed two times by week, the breakfast wasn't american (by the reservation) but buffet. The guests can use the facilities of the Mykonos Paradise hotel, including a SPA and a very good buffet dinner. Each room has balcon and most of them are with sea view, also there are lots of parking places for the cars, fast check-in and check-out. The whole staff and especially Mrs. Roula Mykoniati, the owner of the hotel, was very kind and helpful regarding our stay in Greece, they provided us all the information we needed.
Good location, nice pool. Not very friendly staff, poor breakfast, very noisy in the mornings, very small and not so clean bathroom.
Was a nice comfortable, affordable hotel very close to the beach and restaurants.
Comfortable room with a large balcony. Generous breakfast. WiFi is not free - 20 minutes will cost you an extra five euro.
breakfast very good, location near airport, clean rooms
close to the airport where I wanted to rent a car the next day... ...but only reachable by taxi, with drivers requiring exhorbitant prices. It can be cheaper to go to town.
The reception staff were very helpful Could not change money the evening staff in restaurant and bar were not very professional. The location is very bad no place to go expect the hotel to eat. Many items on menu were not available even though it was only 9pm (early for eating in Greece) and the food was bland.
Big room, hot shower working, quick to the airport we had room in the basement, you heard the air conditioning from outside, toilet stinks a little because there is an open hole in floor through which runs the shower water this pipe has no siphon to keep smell from the garbage system, in a 4 star you should throw the toilet paper into the toilet and not to have it put in a basket
Very clean, very comfortable, very spacious, super nice facilities. Excellent breakfast. Hard to find, no address to google. Booking.com should have better map to the hotel.
one of the most important features for travellers is internet access. whether the trip is for business or personal reasons, internet access is almost mandatory to confirm reservations, make/confirm/check plans, do research, etc. the front desk said they are working on providing wireless internet in all the rooms. that will be a great selling point when they finally get it done. yes. the staff in the morning when i arrived for breakfast could have been much friendlier, more helpful and importantly, more punctual. i was on a tight schedule and they were late.
Nice, helpful, efficient English speaking staff. Awful location in the middle of nothing. Close to the airport but shuttle service was unavailable at 7 AM. Taxi costs 15 Eur one side. Breakfast starts at 7 what is quite late for airport hotel. No place to walk around, not talking about a place to eat out except a very expensive hotel restaurant with poor choice and only average quality. Thick warm blankets in early September and agressive mosquitos. Price of 70 Eur/night is absolutely inadequate.
The Avalon is within 5 minutes drive of Thessaloniki airport and is very suitable to catch a morning flight. The hotel had few guests and even fewer staff. The room on the lower ground floor was dark and had no view. The food was adequate.
Hotel was just as expected, and really that what was in the pictures, maybe more like a 3 star then 4 star Hotel, I guess the Pool makes the diffrence. A freindly staff, clean and bigger rooms then usual. The breakfest buffet was good too, the pool was clean and big. The shuttel bus from and to the airport goes monday to friday from 600 am to 6 pm. We arrived on Sat 2 am so no chance for a bus, but the cabs where reasonable at 10 €.
Athina Place Hotel is in a perfect location for the airport, serves basic food at resonable cost, staff very helpful, rooms clean and warm
Nice comfortable room, clean, and quiet!!! Breakfast, not to charge for wifi!!!
Close location to the airport, comfort
fresh croissants at the free breakfast, location close to metro, a really good shower, an elevator, free internet in lobby no
Was close to my points of interest:Mediteranina Cosmos and Ikea. Easy access from ring road. Peace and quiet. Very friendly staff and good breakfast. Good value for monet. Very friendly staff.
it was very quiet and peaceful
The hotel is close to the major shopping area out of the center of Thessaloniki, the Cosmos shopping mall, Magic Park. It is nice and quiet, although the micro location is strange - looks like in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are quite clean and the lobi is confortable The indor swimming pool was not heated at all (neither the wather nor the air) so we could not use it, althoug we booked here because we wanted a hotel with this kind of facility. The reception staff is not responding e-mail sent prior arrival. The toilet would need some reconstruction.
Very convenient for airport with nice outdoor pool
The atmosphere, the facilities, the room. The breakfast was the same during all 3 mornings - not even a single item was changed.
Very comfortable room. Staff were extremely helpful. Courtesy bus facilities and 24 hours reception. Catering service good.
The hotel's central location is very convenient, with the beach only 50 m away. Nearby there are a lot of shops to choose from, a bakery and many coffee shops and restaurants. The staff was relaxed and friendly. The cleaning service was minimal - we only got our towels changed, and the water in the pool was a little merky.
The pool is not working firs day.
The staff rooms small but for the price o/k
enviromental view,closed to beach
It's fine one night at Greece, but there are better hotels for lower prices The water pressure was too low and the sink was choked up,the bath condition was not so good for the money
Nice room with comfortable matresses. Nice big balcony with comfortable chairs. Owner friendly and enslish speaking Only one person in the staff spoke english. The reception was manned by not-serviceminded persons. Compared to hotels of the same standard, the prices was far too high. Poor shower facilities.
A very clean hotel with excellent service. Breakfast very good. The hotel has its own beach, umbrellas and chairs are included. Large rooms with balconies overlooking the sea. Large parking partially sheltered. The hotel is located on the beach at about 3-5km from the town of Nea Kallikrateia. It is necessary for daily commuting by car to have more (and cheaper) options for meals and spending time outside the beach.
Hotel is nice , very close to the nice beach with clean and warm water ,free chairs and umbrellas.Rooms are clean and well keeping up every day.Breakfast is good enough ,various and greek yogurt is delicious.Very friendly staff ,Panaiotis and his mom are very nice and make everything for everybody to feel great. No complaints
