nice location and quiet wifi internet advertised as free but had to pay 4.50 per hour
outstanding stay - hospitality, location, buildings, and superb restaurant and meals.
The hotel was very clean and people very friendly. The food was excellent. Very nice village. Nothing
Breakfast was good value for money N/A
V gd menu. Superb breakfast. Fantastic location
Very pleasant restaurant with a reasonable range of menues and good quality food. We arrived 19.00 and showered son after, unfortunately the water was not very hot. The water temperature was O.K. in the morning.
Peace and quiet No lounge to use if weather poor and no satelite tv.
Clean room, very good dinner Very dated, breakfast was limited and overpriced. Had I realised it was not included in my booking I would not have had it and instead gone to the local pattiserie
The rooms were comfortable and of a good size. The hotel restaurant was of a high standard and both the hotel, dinner and breakfast were well priced. The shower head in our room needed cleaning.
The Food, it was excellent. No, nothing!
The receptionist was very helpful as we needed to find out where a hall was - we were atttending a party - and book taxis and so on which she did for us. Generally the staff were friendly and welcoming (not always the case in France!) Like all French hotels, the room smelt a little of smoke - but I acan see that this is difficult to police!
Friendly staff, a very clean and comfortable hotel. Excellent value for money.
Lack of channels on tv, ie no music
Friendly welcome and attention. Excellent shower.Plenty of hotel parking.Better breakfast than many in this range.Would be happy to return.
The price was right and the staff were very accommodating.
Ease of location
comfort of room, clean, airconditioning. Carparking. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Some reasonable and at least one excellent restaurants within 5 minutes walk.
We have stayed at the Citotel Saint Jacques on other occasions en route for the Charente. We have found the staff to be very pleasant and efficient. We find that it is an excellent place to stay after arriving at St. Malo on the overnight ferry and we will certainly do the same next year. Nothing.
Easy to find. Centrally located with good access to free parking.
Good chef and excellent dinner Initial allocation of Junior Suite was a very gloomy and fusty tower room but had it changed. No lounge or bar and dining room closed on one of our two nights. No warmth of almosphere anywhere in the hotel. Probably nicer when it's busier and hotter
A pretty place. An excellent chef. A mirror in the bedroom would have been good. Stairs to top floor a little difficult for older people.
Location excellent Menu very expensive
Lovely quiet hotel in the countryside. Not a lot in the area and the town is very small. The food in the restaurant was excellant although very expensive for a 3 star hotel. The room was cosy, clean but there is not a lot of room and it was expensive for 125 euros a night. Food and drink was expensive in the restaurant, although the food was excellant.Gin and tonic was 13.50 euros which is far too much to pay. Cheapest wine was around 35 euros.
Beautiful setting and surroundings. Restaurant was severely overpriced. Staff were unfriendly and arrogant. Beware if you are not a fluent french-speaker, they will make you feel extremely uncomfortable at a very high cost to you. We will never be back and would advise fellow travellers to stay clear.
Outstanding Restaurant! The evening meal was without doubt the finest we have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The chef, a remarkable young woman with an exceptional culinary talent deserves the accolade of Rising Star. The Bathroom was small and dark.
The bed was comfortable. The rooms were very small and the bathroom extremely small with no where to put anything, also the shower head was broken. The menu was for the cost limited. Infact after seeing the menu we decided to eat elsewhere. This wasn't because we couldn't afford it but felt that it wasn't value for money. The hotel photos are deceptive and a group of youths drinking beer and riding motorbikes up and down in front of the hotel at night wasn't ideal.
A charmng small hotel, comfortable and well-appointed. Dinner was delicious and worthy of more note in the Guide Michelin than it currently has. We have stayed there several times and it has never disappointed us. I would recommend it most strongly.
Location, welcome, calm, cleanliness A little pricey
The quiet, riverside location, the food and the small size of the hotel, which meant we were not just numbers. Driveway access was difficult as we have a low sportscar
the rooms were clean and comfortable and had a desk so I could work in my room. the restaurant was expensive but served nice food and the owner was able to serve us dinner very late on the night we arrived - which we appreciated very much! the reception office was always locked and it was difficult to find staff if I had a problem. We were not shown around the hotel or told where anything was, so I still don't know whether there was a lounge for guests use - it would have been better if there was!! Your site said there was a hairdryer in the room but there in fact was not.
The friendly staff, the comfortable rooms, and the excellent restaurant
