Not much but the two staff members we saw were very helpful.
Unmanned reception desk. The number left to phone was not answered. No access to car park without a code but with no receptionist how were we to get the code! Breakfast appalling. No staff. There was a kettle to boil water for tea and a drink said to be coffee was produced by putting a pod into a machine but not one person in the breakfast room knew how to operate it!!! Stayed in this hotel several times in the past and was very good. What’s happened?
This was a perfect pit stop for a family! We were in room 327, which had twin beds on one floor and then a double up above on a mezzanine level. Blackout blinds meant everyone slept well too. Great shower and a little kitchenette with a fridge/freezer and the smallest dishwasher I’ve ever seen! Breakfast was brilliant! Great choice of good quality, fresh and tasty food. €10 each for adults and kids ate free. Nice little town for a wander. We were here in the middle of August and quite a few restaurants and bars were either closed or not serving food, so we had limited options for dining. Ended up in pizzeria which was pretty good and very reasonable. Overall a really lovely spot for a night’s stay!
Not my taste in decor, but I imagine that’s why it wasn’t too pricey!
Location & general ambience
Nobody on reception when we arrived at 3pm nor rest of day. No restaurant open. Rooms hot and noisy. No kettle to make drink in room although cups! Confused about booking payment ,although pre paid. Had to hang about waiting for them to sort it out. Poorly organised.
The quality of the food served at dinner and breakfast! The staff was very nice too.
Missing air-co but it was manageable to cool down the room by opening the windows in the evening.
I am coeliac and they provided me with gluten free bread. Meals were excellent
The pool was not open.
