With sweeping views of the sparkling Venice lagoon, the Hotel Danieli enjoys a particularly majestic location—just steps from the legendary Palazzo Ducale, dramatic St. Mark’s Square and Basilica, and the famed Bridge of Sighs. From rooftop drinks at the Restaurant Terrazza Danieli, to indulgent In-room spa treatments; from privileged access to the beaches at Venice Lido to walking tours of the city’s sestieri, Hotel Danieli welcomes you to the delights of La Serenissima. Three palazzos, dating to the 14th century, house 210 guest rooms and suites, many with balconies overlooking the lagoon. The opulent décor of antiques, artful Murano glass, and exquisite tapestries evokes the city's rich cultural heritage.
extremely professional staff, wonderful room, amazing location, a simply extraordinary hotel
This is a superb hotel, in a cracking location, litterally a couple of minutes walk from St Mark's Square, and seconds from the airport water bus stop.. The room and public areas were lovely. We saw no evidence of the staff being unhelpful, quite the contrary, they were very efficient, friendly and welcoming. Recommended.
comfort and design of the room, view
breakfast is too expensive
Definitely the location and the cadre, interior opulent surroundings. Professional and courteous concierge service. Comfortable large bed. The magnificent rooftop terrace.
The only reservation was our room which although very large with high ceiling yet was quite dated, some worn out furniture, rusty heating grills, insufficient lighting, and mosquitoes. The bathroom was especially not up to par and to the high standard we expected.
Location and nice hotel restaurant. We could celebrate the second birthday of our granddaughte with the song of the staff.
Doing nothing for a week
The fantastic views across the venetian lagoon - main reason for choosing it. Service was also very high - they really wanted to help, even when the hotel was busy. A true 5* luxury hotel for a special occcasion.
Everything was very expensive but it is a 5* hotel in Venice so you can expect nothing else! having a room ovrlooking the lagoon was great but you also get the noise - there is a major waterbus stop just outside (24 hour service) and a continuous flood of tourists passing so you are right in the middle of the bustle of Venice. Choose a room without the views ora hotel in a location away from San Marco if you want peace and quiet.
the location, the history and interior fittings of the room,we did not really use any of the facilities we were not there long enough
the receptionist said we had a restricted view, this actually meant no view , you could touch the building opposite, this was very dissapointing
The Terrace Breakfast
The courtesy of the staff, nothing was too much trouble, the room was fabulous and the food superb. The location was just right, the hotel itself was a fantastic building and the decor was out of this world.
