Westin Europa & Regina is a wonderful place right on the canal with an amazing staff and facilities
Very luxurious. Staff wonderful. Central Location on the canal with superb views and private water taxi station right in front. Room service excellent! The Westin sets the bar very high!
TV channel selection poor.
The dependent at the lobby was rude. The room they gave was not ready, there was an empty champaigne bottle with the corresponding dirty glasses. To make matters worse, it was time consuming to resolve. The room we ended up with had two full size beds together, with separate linen for each, instead of a king/queen size bed. The waiters at the bar and common areas were rude. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary. In 30 years this is the most we ever paid for accommodations AND the worst service we've received.
The hotel is beautiful like a palace. Location is excellent.
They give you the feeling that your money is the most important thing for them. The ask you to sign several forms, preauthorize you credit card, and, it's a shame, lock your minibar during the last night of your stay!

This hotel was really very great, exactly as you see in the photos and can boast about it's location and all of its qualities.
Overall i could only find very minimal points to be picky about which are: 1. the hotel is quite tricky to find (as with a lot of places in Venice), you would think directions would therefore be highlighted/mentioned on their website or when you are sent your booking details. 2. Half of the the breakfast staff were useless and not concerned with helping at all (the other half were completely the opposite and couldn't do enough to help and make it as peasant as possible). 3. The hotel decor and furnishings were probably very finely done at one stage, but things are starting tyo tire and wall trimmings etc starting to peel away, scratches and bumps in too many places.
The location was excellent and staff was very helpful and supportive. The hotel is well maintained and charming. The room was well serviced. The hotel met all our expectations--beautiful premises in a charming part of Venice, well connected to visit near and somewhat distant sites of interest to tourists.
Yes, the wall was water stained. I informed the manager by a note and received no confirmation or follow up.

Booked a deluxe double room but was given a room on first floor facing another building which is under total renovation, noise starts from 8:00AM, can't sleep well and there is no view from this room, not even city view. Ask for ice buckets at 11:30PM, No one picks the call in Service Express.

The location was wonderful!
The attitude of some of the staff was snooty and the check in and check out process took forever. We were getting off a cruise coming in and there were many people arriving at the the same time but leaving I was left standing for 10 minutes while the clerk fiddled on her computer and noone else was around. To be fair it was the same woman. The conciere also had staff that was either extremely helpful or curt and unresponsive to inquires. The staff was either very pleasant or very disdainful.
