Pros: Annie was just about the sweetest host in the world.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing place, amazing everything!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Stylish architecture, lovely room, extras. Dinner was excellent, enjoyed family style with other guests and our hosts. One of our favorite accommodations of our extrended trip.
Cons: The late (17:00) checkin time meant we had to find a place to spend several hours , since we were walking Le Chemin de St Jacques, and arrived in town around 14:00. We could find no water nor food, and it was fortunate the weather was good. We sat on a bench near the church. This is only a possible problem for pilgrims, of course.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The land lady Annie Pizzinato made us feel home. Her house made breakfast is gorgeous.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Warm welcome, comfortable clean room, excellent breakfast, onsite parking.

Pros: Had an amazing stay at Le Grand Noe. Lovely property in lovely setting, but it's the hosts that truly made this a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Thank you both.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved our stay at this B&B. The hosts are very warm and caring people. They welcomed us to their house, offered good suggestions for what to see in the areas, and helped us with making appointments. The country house is beautiful, spacious, with sweeping views on the orchard and the valley below. We brought back the warmest memories from this stay.

Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great breakfast Refreshments and cake on arrival
Cons: We got lost as not on GPS - should have used Ways
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Home made marmelade, home made cakes, even home made honey! Exceptionally delecious baguette! You feel so welcome, you get good advice (i.e. where to have dinner, where to have a trip), the hosts are really helpful, warm-hearted and they do the best possible to make your stay unforgettable (i.e. they trusted us with one of their card games to take along to the restaurant) Thumbs up for a great memory!
Cons: To me and my son, it was a perfect stay! Nothing to criticise at all! Such lovely people!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A beautiful building in a delightful setting with open views over the village (just a short walk away) and on to the Rhone Valley. The building has been beautifully restored and with modern facilities sympathetically incorporated into the historic fabric of the building. Our hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and were very helpful in giving advice on places to eat in the area. The breakfast was really good, with so much that was home-made. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Breakfast choice of local yogurt and fresh goats cheese, eggs, cheese, cereals, fruit, bread, homemade conserves, local fruit juices, tea and coffee. Lovely peaceful garden. Plenty of parking
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, beautiful house in such an unspoilt area, with lovely kind hosts (and delicious breakfast!)
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The guest house consists of two guest rooms with private bathroom and a shared equipped kitchen. The room, bathroom and kitchen are new, cosy, warm (in winter) and clean. The breakfast is very good: juice, coffee and tea, homemade varied pastries, fruit, toasts and several types of jam. It is served downstairs, in another nice kitchen/dining room. The host is lovely and very attentive. The guest house is in a very small town close (15min by car) to Vienne and Saint-Romain-en-Gal. You can park the car in the guest house fenced garden.
Cons: A hairdryer in each room would be great!

Pros: We stayed in the lower floor two bedroomed apartment which was luxurious and spacious with a characterful bathroom. This offers privacy and very spacious accommodation with brilliant views over the countryside. The hosts were brilliant and extremely welcoming and went to the effort of providing a delicious platter of food when we arrived; even when the restaurant was closed. We then ate in the restaurant the second night and really enjoyed a delicious selection of food. The breakfasts were excellent and freshly prepared. The adjoining field has two donkeys and we enjoyed going to speak to them every day!

Cons: Ideal for adults not really suitable for children - as I was travelling with a 10 year old not ideal.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The old house is beautiful.
Cons: Room was a little dated and we didn’t realise we would be in the annex, not the main house. Should specify.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was absolutely perfect and the bathroom too. We also enjoyed the breakfast with homemade cakes and brioche. After a morning stroll we arrived quite muddy at breakfast, specially the dog, but nobody in the 'chateau' cared :)
Cons: It would be nice to add a water can for the dog in the room and maybe a dog cushion so the dog knows where to sleep. I'm sure people with dogs will love to come back :)

Pros: The welcome given to us by the lovely couple, Helene and Albin, who run this delightful little bed and breakfast, was wonderful. We arrived quite late (10pm) but were immediately offered a delicious hot meal and wine in their garden. The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. They couldn't have been more gracious! When Helene realised that we don't eat carbs, she offered to make us bacon and eggs, which we really appreciated!

Pros: We particularly enjoyed the view from our window, the kindness and warm welcome of the staff, the food. Although it is located in a village which was basically empty when we arrived (no place where we could have a drink in the area), the hotel was equipped with everything we needed (a bar and a terrace with a gorgeous view, a restaurant with good food and an extraordinary selection of wines).
Cons: I was surprised to see that the hotel charged us with 12 euros for the baby crib we had previously asked for (the email we received from the hotel via booking.com did however mention the extra fee).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Price was a little more than we had planned to pay but, in fact, was very good value. The staff were very good throughout our stay and the room and evening meal were excellent. The 3 course menu fixe @ €28 had a limited choice but was beautifully presented and the wine was reasonably priced too (Usually costs much more at an hotel of this standard)
Cons: Absolutely NO complaints

Pros: Food and wines were excellent
Cons: Bed was too small
9.3 Excellent
Pros: One particularly helpful and friendly member of staff made our stay very good

6.8 Good
Pros: Dinner delicious
Cons: RIP OFF room and breakfast. 5 sided room. Tight space. No upgrade available - apparently! Few people...... Cost excessive. 250 Euros for twin beds, dinner & breakfast. 2 uncooked boiled eggs. Chef produced uncooked egg...... No evident management staff.
6.8 Good
Pros: This hotel is in a very small village but can be a convenient location with easy parking when travelling to the South of France by car. The dinner is good and this is the main reason for staying. The rooms are inexpensive and very small but adequate for 1 night.
Cons: On our first stay (mid February) the room was very cold on arrival and the heating took a long time to warm the room. There was a heated towel rail but switching it on needed ingenuity and some time on the floor investigating the controls.

Pros: Staff were lovely and the food was excellent
Cons: All was very good

7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was fine although meat & cheese could be better, the pool & riverside seating was especially welcome & the stomach remedy was a relief
Cons: Our room which was at the top of stairs ( facing ) had what is called an open bathroom ( sink & shower in room ) the toilet was closed but in order to be seated in the toilet it was neccesary to prepare yourself before closing the door as the gap between the toilet bowl & the doorjamb is too small, it was mentioned to Patrice but he seemed to think it amusing, also their are no shutters and in July ( when we were there) the sun comes in about 5am, the only advantage of this is we were able to get on the road earlier than normal.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Welcoming host, lovely room, beautiful location with lovely walk into village. We valued the opportunity to meet other guests over breakfast and dinner and eat the lovely food provided by the hosts.
Cons: As with most other places in France that we we stayed in, we found the quilt too hot for us.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property in an idillic location. Patrice was extremely tentative and his wife cooked us a fabulous home cooked meal.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The host and hostess lovley. Food was fresh and good. Venu fantastic rooms brilliant .
Cons: Nothing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved the kind and caring owners!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: I loved the place, the surroundings, the nice and friendly owners, the family like feeling. I was actually glad that the Lyon hotel owners and managers were so greedy during the sirha show, that I had to find a place more than an hour away. This was a much better and enriching experience than staying in a standardized hotel. Price was more than fair and the room was beautiful, cozy and very comfortable.
Cons: Lots of stairs and no keys were given
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
6.3 Good
Pros: The setting was pretty and very picturesque.
Cons: The narrow stone stairs were very difficult to navigate while carrying suitcases. Use of the pool was limited and we didn’t feel welcome to use it. There were things we felt the host could have been more helpful about; ie, we told them we would be going out for dinner and it would have been helpful to know that many restaurants are closed on Monday night or that you need a reservation. Without good command of the French language it is difficult to make reservations by phone and we would have appreciated some assistance. We ended up not finding anywhere for dinner that night.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really nice stay and calm location not far from each kind of services. The host is very kind and can suggest what to visit.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location is great lovely waterfall. Warm welcome and great hospitality!

Cons: The restaurant. Fabulous service, way too expensive!

Pros: Both I am my wife are disabled and, without exception, the staff were outstandingly helpful and friendly, including arranging for us to have a room with facilities for the disabled and helping in every way at breakfast and dinner. The restaurant is excellent; and the views from it over the Rhone are beautiful and enhance the dining experience - and having breakfast.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was plentiful and delicious and served on the terrace which was lovely.Nice hotel, not as splendid as the Domaine du Colmbier, more traditonal.Dinner was great.
Cons: Disappointed when asked staff to help me with air conditioner system got a curt reply.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed and excellent accommodation. Very attentive staff and superb restaurant. Fabulous location and very relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Breakfast was a great letdown compared to the lunch and dinner offered. Coffee was weak and no fruit juices. Buffet selection was very average and not up to expectations.

Pros: The location was excellent, right on the river, and the breakfast terrace was particularly attractive. The room was extremely spacious with both open and enclosed balconies.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: The hotel, the location and the ambience
Cons: The restaurant is very expensive and the food only average. The breakfast is poor and certainly not worth €19
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful setting by the river. Dining was a lovely experience. Very friendly staff.
Cons: No shower except above the bath. The rooms were old fashioned. The hotel tried to charge for 3 breakfasts which we didn’t have.
Wine Passion Panoramic - Chavanay - Building

8.8 Excellent (25 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Chavanay, Wine Passion Panoramic is in a regional park, a 1-minute drive from Pilat Regional Natural Park and 7 minutes from Parc Naturel Régional du Pilat. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The couple who manage this property are really nice people. I notice an early review said they were not there until after 6, but when I arrived shortly after 5, they were already there. Also, they sent me a message in advance to say they would be there after 5. They were very polite and accommodating. The WPP does not provide evening meals, but Veronique drove me into Chavanay where I had a good meal, and then she came back to collect me as well. She also facilitated my early departure next morning with an early breakfast. The room was very comfortable and just what I needed after walking 30km.
Cons: Well, it would have been nice to have an evening meal on the premises rather than have to drive into Chavanay, but that is a small point. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Vero and Yvan were amazing hosts and made us welcome right from the start. They went out of their way to assist us with shopping and transport. The views from the house and terrace are amazing and it was great to have our own balcony. The rooms were spotless.
6.3 Good
Pros: It was very clean and the proprietor was very welcoming.
Cons: Very very steep drive up to the house (not for the faint hearted!)although the views over the vines were beautiful. Thought the price of 80 euros was expensive for quite a small room (even though there was a small balcony with a table and 2 chairs...too hot to go out there until sundown) there was only the bed to sit on inside and the toilet was across a landing at the top of the stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was fantastique!! Very, very comfortable, very clean, extraordinary breakfast, extraordinary service and very very charming host! I am sure i will return someday.
7.0 Good
Pros: Great views,
Cons: No access to property until 6.45pm, arrived at 2pm after walking 30km. Chavaney has very little to offer, No good restaurant. Called into bar during the day, owner rude, smoking in bar

Pros: Incredible hospitality.
Cons: Bed was uncomfortable. But all the beds in France seem to be like that. Different than in America.

Pros: Good location, clean hotel. Friendly staff, and reasonable price.
Cons: Breakfast was only moderate and quite expensive.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great wine tasting from the owners vineyard. Welcoming staff. Breakfast was good value and choice. Hotel was clean and room spacious with good views. Nice garden to relax in. Good location because we had a car.
Cons: Just one thing, the standby light of the t.v., during the night it’s too bright. But that is the fault of the t.v. makers, not the hotel.
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: l'hôtel ne vaut pas son prix! Place the money not worth.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The sheets were clean
Cons: For the price the hotel is exceedingy bad value. The room was small and smaller than the one for which we paid forty euros less the night before. The photo of the hotel makes it look as though it is in a vinyard. It cleverly doesn't show the busy main road.

Pros: Staff were friendly. Remote location
Cons: Small and dated bathroom
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was perfect, great for an evening stroll after a long drive. The former monastery setting made it a memorable evening.
Cons: I guess the stairs were a little narrow and spiral (it is a very old building after all), but then I guess my bag was a bit excessive for just a one night stay!

Pros: A very speciel location and buildings.
Cons: The sheets had plastic backside. The breakfast was poor, Bread left over from the day before.

4.5 Okay
Pros: The lady on reception was lovely.
Cons: It's drab red curtains and overall decor for such a lovely area. The whole place looked shabby. The menus for evening meal was poor and the meal (we had the steak meal) was tough with soggy chips. The desert was of poor quality. For the price there are other places that far outshine this one.
5.0 Okay
Pros: the room service Lady was nice , and she gave us more towels when we ask
Cons: they dont talk English .. poor breakfast and everything closed at 10 . after 10 you cant drink water
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The pool was great - but as in general the hotels should heat their pools a little - there are cheap technological solutions that utilize sunlight. The salmon was excellent!
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Rude manageress who berated her own staff in front of guests. Left us sitting for over half an hour in restaurant without service whilst waiting staff gave attention to French guests first - even those arriving after us. After a 300 mile drive in 30 degree heat we needed a beer- 8 euros a glass - what a ripoff! Pool and bar areas in direct sunlight with limited sun beds and no parasols in either area. Bedrooms badly in need of a makeover - dark, dingy and smelly. Needless to say we won’t be going back.

Cons: The outside of the building require some maintainance
7.0 Good
Pros: Lots of space to manoeuvre the wheelchair and hoist. Fresh refurbishment. Parking for wheelchair van very close. Warm room. Entrance hallway.
Cons: Difficult wheelchair access to the room from parking. Pointless I’ll-fitting curtains. Discoloration of bedspreads.
7.5 Good
Pros: Dinner and Breakfast were really good. The rooms were comfortable and the bath had everything that was needed. The location is really quiet and perfect for a night stay during a business trip, even if it might be a bit off from the main roads.
Cons: We've had some trouble due to an heavy language barrier, sadly we didn't have the luck to find someone that could speak english, however the staff tried to help us understand everything in the ways they were able to.
3.3 Mediocre
Pros: To be honest, nothing.
Cons: Outdated, prison-like rooms, sterile, terrible restaurant, messy and dirty outside. No hot water in the morning. Restaurant, if you can call it that, was open for one hour. Awful.
