Pros: location , amazing breakfast , unique , Andreas the manager was excellent
Cons: it was perfect
Pros: The location was perfect - we could not believe how close we were to the heart of this historic village ... and that parking was so close. The village has so many photo-vistas that you cannot believe it is not a film set. Breakfast was delivered to the room in a picnic basket !
Pros: Everything was perfect! The breakfast was amazing and the room was perfectly clean. The staff was great even if we didn't had any problems, they are there to help you with everything! We will return there next year! Thank you for making our stay there perfect! We strongly recommend!!!
Pros: A chic, immaculately kept up room in the best location in town. Proprietors were very friendly and completely sympathetic and understanding when my flight delay forced big changes in my arrival time. I would absolutely stay here again—thoroughly enjoyed my visit, and it was tremendous value for the room price. A+++!!! :)
Pros: Location and comfort
Cons: The room was very well equipped but quite compact
Pros: This is a unique apartment within the walls of this amazing medieval fortress. It is spacious, with interesting decor and a nice veranda. Communication with the owner was great and the guy who came to meet us was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast showed up on the shoulders of a little gnome- which was very fun for my son. Highly recommend the experience of this great apartment in this unique village.
Cons: Only thing I would request is softer sheets. Beyond that- loved it all!
Cons: We stayed on a Monday. Most restaurants are closed that night.
Pros: The location, the quirkiness of the room and the breakfast delivery in a hamper
Cons: It would have been helpful to know in advance that there was no-one to greet us on site and that to alert the owners that we had arrived we had to telephone them. It was only by disturbing a neighbour that we found out that this was how it was done. Prior warning would have been useful. And while there were generous amounts of biscuits and cake in the breakfast hamper it would have been nice to have had two croissants rather than one!
Pros: Lovely property in a beautiful little town. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is served in a delightful way each morning and although it’s just in your room is it a selection of good fresh ingredients.
Cons: Instructions for coffee machine would have been useful

Cons: Nothing. Really lovely
Pros: The owner was truly kind and did everything in his hand so that we felt comfortable. He provided all we needed for our baby, including a fan for our room in the middle of this heatwave. Huge breakfast in the lovely garden with views of Castel'Arquato. Room was nice and the bathroom very good. Parking isn't an issue and you can reach the town in less than 5 minutes, where there is also free parking.
Cons: Too many mosquitos, even with repelent. Some window nets would have made a difference.
Pros: Beautiful old house and yard. Welcoming and attentive host. Adorable puppy
Pros: Excellent host.
Cons: For those who like a cup of tea/coffee when they wake up, it would be appreciated if a kettle, cups and tea/coffee/sugar, etc., were available in the rooms -- not essential, but a welcome addition.
Pros: Comfortable house. Friendly host. Very nice garden with view of Castell'Arquato. Itself a very cozy place. Breakfast was very generous.

Pros: beautiful location in an often overlooked part of Italy, modern and clean rooms, friendly staff, pet friendly
Cons: outside areas not really designed for guests to relax, the plunge pool in the pictures was covered most times and not offered to us but used for a pool party of the owners, also we understood that this was an agriturismo with animals but still annoying to be woken up by a cockerel earch morning a 4.45 am, no mini bar or cold drinks available
Pros: Marzia and her family are really attentive, thoughtful and friendly hosts. We felt we had made some new friends by the end of our stay. The accommodation is very clean throughout and the rooms tastefully decorated and equipped. The air conditioning in our rooms was really welcome as there was very hot weather during our stay. We also loved the fact that there were horses, ducks, goats, cats and dogs on the site ! The property is in a great position with stunning views of the surrounding hills.
Cons: The WiFi was a bit weak at times but this is a minor point compared to all the positives.

Pros: simple but good
Cons: nothing in particular
Pros: Excellent breakfast options and a really lovely host to welcome you. The B&B was kept very clean and had large shared bathrooms.
Pros: Very good breakfast and very good location, clean rooms.
Cons: We had a miss communication with the administrator in regards with what bathroom to use, this created discomfort for us during the last part of the stay. Also during some nights it was cold in the rooms so it was inconvenient considering the fact we had our 1 year old baby girl with us
Pros: Staff were very helpful. Able to freeze freezer blocks, boil water etc. Private, gated car parking area. Beautiful location. A very well maintained beautiful little Italian town within easy reach of the Milano-Bologna autostrada.
Pros: As always, everything perfect, we always look forward to returning here. Atmospheric, quiet, comfortable room with large bathroom, excellent shower. Breakfast was delicious with good choice, and secure parking a bonus.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like.

Pros: A great hotel in a very beautiful location. Staff always friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast!
Pros: The room was comfortable and the bathroom clean and of good quality.
Cons: Inadequate parking so ended up having to park in a public carpark some way away from hotel. No restaurant in hotel. No restaurants nearby open so we had to walk quite a way in the rain to find one. Rather a small breakfast room. No staff on duty at reception desk later in evening. No tea or coffee making facility in room. Charge was much higher than other accommodation in area so would have expected a bit better and less paring back on facilities and service offered.
Pros: Very comfortable Quiet
Cons: No international channels
Pros: Every thing was perfect. Location in heart of city. Restaurants around hotel. Walking distance to Castle. Near to shops. Very clean. Recently renovated. Staff are super friendly. Breakfast was amazing small buffet but was having everything you need to begin your day.
Pros: Great location a short distance from the main road and a short walk to the gate into the Castle.
Cons: Closed at 8:30pm making it a hassle to re enter the property. We were in low season.

Gropparello's mediaeval castle is surrounded by a parkland extended at the sides of Vezzeno torrent's gorges. The suite situated in the castle is suspended above the drawbridge's building.4 romantic rooms plus a bath carved into the rock as a coffer, endowed with a shower-tub with chromo-therapy. castle is one of most ancient of our region! The ancient Fortress, once known as Cagnano Stronghold, is an unsurmountable military unit, it is a typical example of medieval fortress placed in defence of the access to a valley. It’s possible to walk around it and inwards, through the ancient noble rooms, the walls of an ancient kitchen underneath the hall, up to the tower’s terrace to see the beautiful sight. Gropparello Castle remains one of the complexes that maintain the enchant of medieval fortification, because of the beautiful landscapes it’s set into and of its very particular structure, entirely set into a rock. In 2014, the Torre del Barbagianni, one of three towers, was restored. Up a steep weathered stair you enter your main bedroom with a pretty wrought-iron four-poster swathed in clouds of muslin. Then a room with a double sofabed (ideal for kids) and a small but spoiling shower room with a view onto the forest. All feels intimate and very romantic, from the living room with its white armoire (big enough to hold a kitchenette) to the polished floors of terracotta. Breakfast – a flexible feast – is accompanied by a panoramic view from the family’s terrace; dinner is equally special. Challenge yourself on treks and trails; follow the verdant cliffside walkways; stroll up to the village to shop or dine; take a tour of the castle.
